Things That You Weren't Suppose To Know...
About Shoyo Guys
time: after school
place: Shoyo library
timeline: sometime after summer championship, a few weeks before exam
situation: Fujima and Hanagata were studying
They've been reading for the past thirty minutes, yet Hanagata could tell that Fujima hardly paid attention to the book in front of him. Oh, yes, he might be flipping the pages constantly, but his eyes didn't move a glitch--as eyes supposed to be when people are reading. He sighed and closed his own book.
"Okay, enough reading." He snacthed Fujima's book. "I know for sure your mind's no longer at the book now, so we'll have a quiz to see how much of this stuff went into your head."
Fujima just blinked at Hanagata's tirade, then replied, "I'd say you're cruel for interrupting my daydreaming, but then you'll just get angrier at me. So just go on with the questions."
Hanagata glared at him for a brief moment, "Just for notice, you 'did' say it," then he opened Fujima's book to see what he'd been reading. "Cell division. Alright. How many type of cell division the is?"
"Two."
"And they are?"
"Mitosis and meiosis."
"Define mitosis."
"A process of cell division which results in the production of two daughter cells from a single parent cell in which the daughter cells are identical to one another and to the original parent cell."
"And meiosis?"
"The thing that happened in your groin."
Hanagata blinked in surprise at this answer. "Lots of things happened there. Hard-ons happened there, but it's not meiosis."
"No, but they're related somehow."
Hanagata sighed and took of his glasses, trying to restrain himself from hitting his best friend on the head. "Ken, if you think you can pass the exam with answers like these then you're sadly mistaken."
Fujima just smile enigmatically and replied, "I know. But then again, I'll always have you, ne? You're sitting behind me on the exam, yes? So I have nothing to worry about, right?"
finis
It's pathetic. I know. But I had to get something new, just for my personal satisfaction. Btw, this is a somewhat sidestory for The Real Life of Hanagata Toru.
