A Stolen Kiss
Hermione Granger skipped down the hallways of Hogwarts School. Today was Christmas and she was intent on delivering holiday cheer to all she met, no matter what it took.
Hermione grinned as she passed Hannah Abbot.
"Happy Christmas Hannah!"
"Happy Christmas Hermione!"
She continued on like this, greeting all she came across on her way to the library, why, she even stopped to pet Mrs.Norris!
Hermione entered the library, picked out a book, made her way to a back table, and began to read. She read like this, until she was interrupted by Draco Malfoy.
Hermione looked up at Malfoy for a few moments, then spoke.
"Happy Christmas Malfoy."
He looked taken aback.
"Happy?" He asked.
"Are you not happy?"
He looked at her strangely.
Hermione looked back with only one thing on her mind – he needs a bit of - no, a lot of Christmas cheer. Hermione had just the thing for it.
She walked around the table until she was standing just in front of Malfoy. She stood on her tiptoes and placed a small kiss onto his lips.
Malfoy gaped. There was a long pause before he spoke.
"You stole a kiss from me! You stole it from me Granger," accused Malfoy.
"No," said Hermione calmly, "I borrowed it."
Malfoy stared down at her.
"Now if you borrow one from me, we'll be even," she said, smiling as if this was completely obvious.
Malfoy hesitated, then, in one swift motion, he leaned down and captured her lips, borrowing a kiss from her. He was smiling as their lips parted and Hermione knew her job was done.
"Happy Christmas Draco," she said, beaming up at him.
"Happy Christmas Hermione," Draco replied. He too was smiling.
Hermione kissed him on the cheek and skipped off. She had a feeling it was going to be a very good Christmas.
