Sports Day

"What? Sports day?" Ron said incredulously.

"Yes Ron, it's a whole bunch of relays and such." Hermione explained more or less patiently.

"And we're put with our houses, and where those colours." Harry added.

"I got it before, I was just wondering why Dumbledore's making us do this.

A week later it was sports day and they were all dressed in house colours (red, green, blue and yellow).

By coincedence (yeah right) Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Neville, Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle, Pansy and Luna were at the same station together, along with some of the people from Huffleuff and Ravenclaw.

"This game will be played like so," Prof. Vector began. He pulled out 4 large tubs of cold water. "You take of your shoes and socks, and take out as many items from this bucket as possible with only your feet when I blow this whistle. The scoring system is like this:
Rubber Bouncy Ball-1 point

Marble-5 points

erasers (the small decorative ones)-10 points

knuts-15 points

On my whistle, take out as many items as you can and put them in the bucket."

Everybody took off their shoes and socks.

"1, 2, 3, tweet"

Everyone started taking things out with their toes.

"Ha ha, take that suckers!" Malfoy said when the time was up, kicking water at the Griffindors.

"What the bloody-?" Ron cried preparing to spray more water at Malfoy.

"Wait," Ginny hissed. "He'll be expecting this. Leave it up to me."

After Malfoy had on his shoes and socks he turned and called "Liked your little wet surprise?" and Ginny pushed him into the water tub.

Malfoy came up from the freezing water sputtering. "What the bloody hell was that for?" he yelled.

"Um, rhetorical question," Harry snickered.

After Malfoy's robes were dried with the simple drying charm, Prof. Vector announced the scores.

"In fourth is Griffindor with 107 points, in third is Slytherin with 113 points, in second is Ravenclaw with 126 points, and in first is Hufflepuff with 139." Prof. Vector announced.

"Who knew that the one talent Hufflepuff's have is picking things up with their toes?" Malfoy sneered.

"Cough couch sore loser cough" Hermione "coughed."

The next station they had was with Snape. It was like musical chairs, but there were balloons on some. If you got a chair with a water balloon you could throw it at Snape, or have Snape throw it at you and earn 10 points for your team. Every time the music stopped you got 1 point for everyone that was still in the game.

"Alright, go run around the chairs!" Snape called, starting the music.

Everyone ran around the chairs, too intent on the game to notice Snape dancing to the music (tangoing with an invisible partner).

None of them got a balloon, but they all noticed Snape who turned bright red.

"Um, how about a change of music..." he suggested feebly, then switched to Pink Floyd.

During the second time they went around Neville and Malfoy got balloons.

Neville threw it at Snape thinking it was the only chance he would get, while Malfoy couldn't throw it at his favourite teacher, so earned 10 points for his team.

"Ever so noble," Pansy swooned.

Over the next few rounds Snape go very wet, as did everyone else.

As the Griffindor's had the majority on the quidditch team, they naturally had better reflexes (or atleast I say they do) so they won.

"Yeah, go us!" Ron boasted, earning himself a water balloon in the head.

A water war quickly started with the Griffindors, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws against Slytherin and Snape.

With the majority of people the Griffindors, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws won, though it ended with Snape docking points and giving the Griffindors, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws detention, as well as leaving them soaking wet.

Just a bit bewildered they moved onto the next station, which happened to be the sack race.
