EXAMS!!!!!
A/N: Sorry people I wanted to write, but as you have probably guessed from my first statement I had exams. I would like to give a shout out to my most faithful reviewers you know who you are, and if you don't shame on you. I may stop this story because the reviews have slowed down a bit, but since I no longer have school I will try and update more often. All people who are drifters if you do read my story please review I can use all the help and encouragement that I can get even if it's just good job I would love to hear from you. Whoa loud! Major headache. Does the school have to have such a loud bell? Wait why am I in the nurse's office? Oh damb him. He made me faint again a never fainted before I met him and now I'm fainting all over the place. Why can't I just fall for a normal guy who will like me and be friendly like Oz or someone not that he's normal. Great the one place you don't want people to see you and that is where I am. I must prepare for the remarks from Cordy and her posse. Here THEM come. Why do they have to torment me what did I do?
"So I heard you had a run in with the British whirlwind ducky" Cordy yelled as she passed.
Well ok so I "stole" Spike. Wait how does she know about the duck pjs? I turned just in time to see Spike trailing at the end of THEM. Now I need a new name because he is smart so they can't be hardly educated any more damb. That bastard he steals my book, makes fun of me, and tells my archenemy about my duck pjs. He will pay for this.
"Buffy are you ok? You hit the floor pretty hard back in math class." Willow had run up with the rest of our group at her heals.
"Wait? Back in math class? How long have I been out?" I couldn't believe it had been that long I mean the bell would have woken me up before right?
"About 3 hours pet" came a distinctly British voice from right out side the doorframe. How dare he? After what he did to me he is standing there laughing when it is all his fault. My friends stand aside for him what kind of world is this they should be keeping him away from me. The bell rang again, and everyone scattered. Every one, but him the backstabbing errrrrrrr!!!!!! He makes me so mad I could just hit him. If I could stand up without falling I could hit him. Good I'm up. I take swing at him and he ducks darn. I take another swing and hit him in the chest over and over again he doesn't budge. Gosh he is strong for how slim he is. Not to mention very fit he must work out. No bad Buffy you are mad at him remember he betrayed you should not be crushing on a guy you hate. Why me????????? I star to cry but I can't stop. I hate him so much. Spike pulled her close and stroked her hair.
"Shhh, Shhhhh" he whispered into my ear. What right does he have to shhh me I mean he just gave Cordy license to ridicule me until I die. Why can't I pull away from him?
"Shhh Shhh I don't know what I did ducky, but ..."
"Like hell you don't. I can't believe you would do that to me what were you thinking I will never be able to face Cordy or any of THEM again how could you." I star crying again and find myself back in his arms. "Shhh, Shhh, it'll be alright love just tell me what I did I can fix it a promise just please tell me what I've done. I'm sorry pet I'm soo sorry for what ever I did." He said all most as if he were desperate. How can he act like that after what he did to me oh fine he wants to no what he did fine.
"What did you do? What did you do?" I almost yelled as I leapt out of his arms. "You told Cordy about last night with the duck pjs and now she will never let me live it down until the day I die I will be duck pj girl and it's all your fault." He's laughing the nerve he destroys my life and is laughing at me the bastard. He takes me in his arms again. I try to break free but I can't
"Shhhh ducky let me explain please..."
Flash back to earlier that day
"Oh my god she fainted she hit her head she has a concussion she's going to die" Willow ran down the hall screaming.
"Plumb clam down what happened? Where's Buffy? Ok breath first." Spike said as he sat Willow down in a chair.
"Note ... math ... she fainted ... hit the hard floor ... had to go to the office," she said as she stopped hyperventilating.
"Do you have the note?" Spike asked in a hurry. Willow looked up at him with pleading eyes. He became frantic quickly found the first of our friends that happened to be Oz, who then walked Willow to class. He couldn't just leave her there.
He rushed to math as the class filed in behind him. He looked around there it was in the middle of the ailed. He picked it up opened it to make sure it was the right note and quickly stuffed it in one of his pockets. It wasn't quick enough Cordy had seen it and an evil smirk had come across her face.
"Blondie bear what you got there? Looks like a note to a certain geek we all know. You really shouldn't associate with people like her you know."
"I shouldn't associate with people like you. Why should you care if I feel like talking to strawberries?"
"I'm just looking out for you. If you hang out with people like that you will never be popular."
"Listen girl if I cared about being popular I wouldn't have had dinner with Buffy last night and I wouldn't be turned on by the fact that she was wearing duck pajamas."
"She wore duck pajamas oh my well isn't that quite the develop meant" Cordy laughed.
End flash back
"I have spent the last couple of hours trying to pull Cordy off me while she tried to explain why I shouldn't associate with you. I even gave her one of my extra AC/DC tickets to get her to shut up. If I had known she was going to give you such a hard time I never would have told her." Spike whispered the whole story in my ear. I was so happy he hadn't told Cordy, but I couldn't stop crying. He just held me in his arms and continued to comfort me. After about another half hour he turned my face up to him and wiped away my tears. He looked at me my face all blotchy my make up washed away my eyes all red and puffy.
"You are beautiful," he whispered barely audible into my ear. No one had ever told me I was beautiful much less when I was in such a state. I don't know what happened but I found myself lifting my head to his and he was lowering his face to mine and ...
Damb that bell that is the second time it has ruined my day and it was the same day. It brought both of us out of our little world in the middle of the hallway. He helped me stand up and walked me to our lunch table where we sat and ate lunch like nothing had happened. How would I ever be able to explain this to my friends? That bell ringing that accident was unfortunate.
