The laughter died down and Yusuke stood.
"Christmas," He said, "Is the time of love. The time of joy, giving…and most importantly, family. Tonight I offer just that. An invitation for someone among us to join my family. I already think of all of you as my family and I know you all think of me as part of your family. That goes without saying. We may be an odd family, but hey, what family doesn't have its quirks, eh Kurama?"
Kurama laughed. His family was easily the most normal of the group. "That's right Yusuke, my being a demon is defiantly a big quirk."
Yusuke blinked innocently. "And here I was talking about your brother. Odd…Anyway, blah, blah, blah…Ah! Yes! Hiei!"
Hiei's head snapped up. Surely he hadn't been talking about him right now, had he? Surely he wasn't going to ask him to join his family…his life was already perfect…Keiko was his wife and they were expecting a baby (the sex of which has not been determined due to Yusuke wanting to be surprised)…what did they need grouchy Hiei for?
"Hiei, my friend, my teammate, my somewhat of a trainer…oh, the pain…I would like you to become a member of my family. And one of my kids many godfathers." Yusuke grinned.
Hiei's eyes couldn't have been wider. He blinked, and shook his head before laughing bitterly. "Me? A member of your family? Your perfect, couldn't be better family? HA! Ha! Hahahahahahahahahaha…" He laughed bitterly. Then shakily. His chin was against his chest and as he laughed shakily it came out as more of a sob.
He looked up and around at everyone there, tears in his eyes. "I…I've never had a family before…" He said honestly.
"Does that mean you accept? Both my offers?"
Hiei nodded and allowed himself a slight smile.
"Good! Because theirs something I've wanted to do since forever! WELCOME TO THE FAMILY HIEI…AND YUKINA!"
"What?"
"I'LL KILL YOU, DETECTIVE!"
"Hahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaha!" Yusuke laughed running from Hiei.
