Three Cheers for the Marauders (To the tune of "Give My Regards to Broadway")

Disclaimer: I wish I could own Harry Potter and the Marauders, but sadly, all recognizable names belong to J.K. Rowling. I also do not own the song "Give My Regards to Broadway"; it belongs to Geo. M. Cohan.

Listen up and I will tell you a swell story of four friends

They were so loyal to each other and vowed to do so till the end

They went to Hogwarts together and they met back in year one

Making the students cringe

And the teachers whinge

They made Hogwarts so much fun!

Chorus: Three cheers for the Marauders!

Without them school would be a bore

Purveyors of Aid to Mischief-Makers always had pranks and jokes galore

Torturing Snivellus Snape

And making all the Slytherins hurl

Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs

You guys will always rock this world!

James Potter was so popular and also very rich

Sirius Black was his best friend whose whole family was a b$#!

Remus Lupin was so smart and had a secret deep within

And Peter Pettigrew

Was the last of the crew

And tried so hard to fit in

Chorus

Then one day Remus' friends found out what his dark secret was

Remus was a werewolf, but he never told them this because

He thought if they ever found out, they'd avoid him totally

But to his great surprise

They became Animagi

To keep him company

There was also a girl at Hogwarts, Lily Evans was her name

James played pranks on her cause he liked her, but she hated him just the same

When it didn't work, James thought that he'd better get a life

So he stopped playing pranks

And became really nice

And soon Lily was his wife

Chorus

Slowly: But, regretfully, this story ends on a note that's very sad

Lily and James were killed because Peter suddenly turned bad

He told Voldemort where they were and Voldy killed them right away

But then Sirius was blamed

For Peter's betrayal

And in prison he had to stay

Just like way in the beginning, Remus was left all alone

And again he had to deal with his lycanthropy on his own

But there's a bright side to everything, including this, for you see,

The Marauders would not

Have existed at all

If it weren't for his lycanthropy

Chorus: Three cheers for the Marauders!

Without them school would be a bore

Purveyors of Aid to Mischief Makers always had pranks and jokes galore

Torturing Snivellus Snape

And making all the Slytherins hurl

Moony, Padfoot, and Prongs

You guys will always rock this world!
