Broken Promises
A promise of love
A promise of happiness
A promise of joy...
A promise of marriage
A promise of excitement
A promise...of always and forever...
People, young and old, live happily ever after because of these promises...
People, young and old, have broken hearts because of these promises...
When made, these promises fill you with everything...
And yet, when broken, these promises scar you for life...
They may give you everything...
Or take everything away...
You can make them, and break them...
You can cherish them, or perish them...
We put all of our hearts into these promises...
So, when they are broken, they hurt us the most...
