A Wandering Man
Lily heard the mouths of many yelling at her as she ran out the door. Where would she go what would she do? The forbidden forest was the nearest hiding place, but what was in there, it had to be forbidden for a reason.
Fighting her worries she plunged into the forest almost unnoticed. Yes, almost unnoticed. Someone was watching her through the trees he followed. Out of breathe form running and crying she stopped in a small clearing, at least a mile into the forest.
"why….." she sobbed. About ten feet away a man was sitting on a large rock staring at her through curious eyes. "ahhhhhhh……." she screamed when she saw the man on the rock. He ran over to her and covered her mouth. "help!" lily tried to scream through his dirty fingers. "shut up someone will hear you. I wont hurt you damn it! Just shut up and I will let go."
"ok" lily replied gasping for a breath of air. "this is a dangerous forest you should get out of here. What brings you here any way?" the man said like he was concerned. Lily didn't know what to say but she ended up telling him everything, why she ran into the forest, why she was crying, her full name, where she lived and all. Right after she said her address she realized that she just basically told a total stranger how to get to her and kill her.
So she played it safe and started asking him questions but he could only answer a few. He told her his name was John and he had no home he just wandered form place to place unseen and that he was on his way into the castle to find some food when she came running by.
"You never would have made it in you know. Hogwarts is a very safe place and probably wouldn't let you in no offence." Lily said with kind of a little miss smarty pants attitude. "I don't care I am really hungry, I thought it was worth a try." John said sadly looking at his ribs. He look like he hadn't eaten in days. His stomach was like a sheet of paper.
Hoping he would be her first friend ever she said "I could bring you food every evening after dinner or even after lunch….if you will stay." Full of excitement his reply was "really! That would be the nicest thing anyone have ever done for me. But the only problem is that they will come and find me here eventually and I will die, if found."
"Who is they" lily said scared to death from the comment. Then right behind them was the sound of a person running really fast and a growl. "run" whispered john, they both turn and started running in what they thought was the direction of the castle. "Cant you some magic thing with you wand." Jon moaned as he ran. "I don't pay much attention in class……"
Then all they could hear was their own foot steps running, so they came to a stop.
