Yo all. This is my first GW fanfiction. In fact, this is my first fanfiction in QUITE a while. This is the Prologue. I know it's very short, that was done on purpose, I tried to do that for effect. This isn't going to be terribly long, but future installments will be much longer than this. Also, the first person is only the Prologue at the moment, if anything else, the Epilogue.

Welp, please let me know what you think! Ah yes.....One more note! This is suppose to take place in AC 198. I know it may not seem like it's making much sense at the moment, but I promise everything will be explained by the end. Oh yes, I like happy endings, so if you're looking for angsty-tragedy, this is the wrong place, heh.

Prologue:

As I stood there, beside him, I could tell that this was only an important even for one of us. To him, this was, as always, just another mission to be carried out. I look over at him through the corner of my eye as the Justice of the peace reads off the sacred promises to him...not that he's actually agreeing to them.

Although his eyelids hide the large pools of Prussian blue from my sight, I am certain I know what they look like. I've seen them enough to know, afterall...

Those cold eyes probably have that look of absolute concentration and determination in them. The sooner we finish this, the sooner he can move onto more important things. Tasks and jobs that have more relevance to his life and work.

But still!

Dosen't he see? Can't he realize that this is a milestone in my life! A forced one perhaps, but a milestone none the less!

Then again... how can I blame him? If anything, I should be thanking him for agreeing to this. He did it as a favor; although he'll probably disagree with my calling it that..If the colonies he loved so much weren't going to directly benefit from this single event, it's doubtful that he'd even be here.

Either way, I will always remember this day with fondness and good sentiments. At the moment, that's all I really can do. To face the day with my head held high, and a smile on my face.

This is my wedding day after all.
