It was the spring in Paris. Satine and Christian were sitting a park filled with trees and flowers. The sun was shining on Satine's beautiful fair skin. Christian handed her a beautiful single red rose he picked from the ground.
"Satine, I have something very important to ask you and if you say yes than my lord you would make me the happiest man in the world" said Christian while staring into her eyes.
"Yes Christian?" replied Satine confused yet excited to know what the question was.
He got down on his knees, reached into his back pocket and took out a small box. As he opened the box, Satine became dumbfounded. She had never seen a diamond ring that big.
"Christian, where did you get this ring from?" asked Satine still in shock.
"I sold my typewriter to buy you this" answered Christian, "But that's not important. The important thing is….." Christian paused for a minute. "Satine will you marry me?"
Speechless, she thought to herself for a minute. Christian had a million thoughts running through his head at this time. But what Christian had thought would happened didn't happen.
