Chapter 4
Eren's POV:
The next day, Mikasa and I decide to visit the queen, and we decide to inform the news of breaking the curse to her. Armin and I decide that only the four of us know the truth so that we won't make a scene.
"I'm so happy for you to break the curse." Historia says with a smile. "That means we can grow old together."
"I know. And Mikasa and I talk for a whole night about your proposal, and we accept." I say.
"But there is also a problem... what would the people think when they learn about this?" Mikasa asks.
"Let's start with the political thoughts. Eren, you are a Titan, and especially the Founder Titan, a Titan that has been passed down through royalty for countless generations. You're basically the king, but most people will still distrust you considering that Titans are our enemy. And Mikasa, after reading the books left at my father's house, I the Ackermanns was a bloodline of warriors that protected Eldia's king. Your powers cause you to be adored and also to be feared. And for me, I'm just a queen for only a short while and my reign was still seen as a military coup and I'm seen as nothing but a puppet by some. However, with the two of you backing the Royal Government, those who wish to harm us would be against me and the government, and they would better prepare themselves for a bloody war."
Mikasa and I are surprised at how she thinks of the aspects, and it seems that she isn't finished yet. "And besides, Eren. You are the only other Yeager in this world if we don't count the Beast Titan, who destroyed a lot of the scouts during the mission to retake Wall Maria, there isn't any law that stops the king from marrying more than one wife. My mother wasn't the queen but the mistress of my father, but I would be damned if I treat Mikasa like that, with people spreading rumors and talking behind her back. She will also become the queen like me, and it would portray us as a united front."
"But we don't know how to rule and be a king or queen..." Mikasa says.
"Neither did I, but I learned. And I'll be honest, it isn't easy to be a king or a queen as some might think. The decision will affect your subjects but it will become a little less challenging with time. I can also teach you." Historia says.
"And I'll be damned if I become just like the Coward King, who does nothing to the people in the walls and leave them to die from the Titans." Eren says. "I think we all have an agreement?"
The two of them nod as Historia says, "Although I don't want to rush things, Mikasa, is it fine that Eren and I have our wedding first and wait until Eren is being respected as a king that he marries you?"
"I understand." Mikasa says. "I can wait."
"And since we're going to the ocean today, I think it is best to let them know about the news of the wedding first." I say.
Both Mikasa and Historia nod as Historia hugs me, "You really are too kind, Eren."
"I know." I smile at her.
After meeting with the other Scouts, Hange says, "So everyone is here now."
"Sorry, Mikasa and I have some things that we had to do first." I apologize.
Armin says, "It's fine, we all know that the Queen has called you two."
"But this often... I wonder what was going on with you and the Queen." Jean says.
I sigh as we all head to the ocean, because of my Founding Titan powers, the Titans are ignoring me, and I also made up my mind to make all of the Titans back to humans.
We arrive at the sand dunes and we see the wall. "I'm sure of it. This is the place where Eldians were made into Titans. And... beyond that..."
We turn around the corner and we manage to get up a small hill. Just as we reach the top, we finally see it... the giant body of water known as the ocean. The first thing everyone does is play in it.
Connie splashes water on Sasha's face and laughs. "Eyy! My eyes!
Jean drinks a bit of the water. "Damn, it's salty!" Behind him, Sasha rubs her eyes. "...My eyes!"
Commander Hange stands in the water, while Captain Levi stands behind her. "Whohoo! Is this thing seriously all salt water?! Huh? What's that?"
"Hey, Hange! It might be poisonous, so don't touch it." Levi warns.
Armin holds the shell in his hands. Mikasa holds her boots in her hands. "Eep!" She jerks back a little. Armin looks at her. She smiles at him showing her teeth and he smiles widely back at her.
"Look, I told you, Eren! A salt lake where merchants could spend their whole lives and still not get the salt. The stuff I talked about wasn't wrong after all!" Armin says.
"Yeah... it's so damn big..." I say, since I have my Dad's memories, it is not that surprising to me. "I thought that on the other side of the sea was freedom, but I was wrong, on the other side of the sea... are people who want us dead."
I hold the saltwater in my hands, and say, "That's why... I am going to protect Paradis... no, the whole Eldia Empire. I won't have victims as my aunt happened again."
"Eren..." Mikasa walks towards me with slight concern. "You should relax a little."
"I know... it was just that the memories are making me angry." Eren says. "Not for the past, but the future as well."
"Eren..." Armin also comes to me and says, "We will get all of the 9 Titans back and we aren't going to let Paradis be destroyed by the whole world."
"And I'm sure of it." I look at the ring in my hand. Armin says, "Eren? Where did you get that ring?"
This causes everyone to approach me and notice my hand, Connie asks, "Wait, is that an engagement ring?"
"Eren, you're getting married?" Sasha asks with the same shock.
"Well, I..." I blush a little as this is not the way I want to reveal the whole wedding thing.
"Congratulations, Eren. Who is the lucky girl?" Hange suddenly asks me, and I am sweating nervously.
"Do you seriously need to ask?" Jean looks at me with slight frustration as he points at the same ring on Mikasa's finger. "You lucky bastard..."
The truth is, Historia also has the same ring, I was surprised that the ring store has 3 of the same rings on the store, and I was also being teased for having two wives by the owner.
"When is the wedding holding?" Armin asks.
I sigh and look at Mikasa, who nods in agreement. "Mikasa and I aren't going to have our wedding yet. The thing is... this ring is actually a three-way ring..."
"Three-way?" Everyone stares at me in shock. Jean grabs my collar and says, "Are you telling me that you're going to have another wife other than Mikasa?"
"Stop it." Mikasa stops him and says, "We've already talked about this, and we also agreed to it."
"She's right. We will wait after my wedding with Queen Historia first until we have our own wedding." I say.
"Queen Historia? You're marrying the queen?" Now everyone is utterly shocked. "But that would make you the King! Are you sure you can handle this?"
"Funny that we asked the queen the same question." I reply, "But she is willing to teach us everything about being a king and a queen. And besides, ever since the vow was gone, I manage to get the memories of the past kings as well."
"I must say that congratulations to you, but that means the two of you wouldn't be able to get to the battlefield as often as you want." Hange says.
"And are you sure the people will accept you for becoming the king and having Mikasa as the second queen?" Armin also asks.
"It might be a huge gamble, but we're willing to take it." I say.
"You're sounding like Erwin." Levi mutters. "But I guess I wouldn't mind about it."
"Yeah... I'm sure that the three of you will bring prosperity to Paradis." Sasha says.
Mikasa and I smile, I'm glad that our friends are really supportive.
A month later, Historia and I have the marriage, and everything is going well because I'm technically the Founding Titan and it is also because of my father that everyone learns the truth of this world. Although there are some nobles who rebel against our wedding, they are already dealt with in the end. And two months after becoming the king, the news of me marrying a second queen also shocks the whole island.
With her Ackermann status, nobody dares to question our choices, because we have the strongest Titan and one of the strongest soldiers in the world. Although marriage has been spreading throughout the whole of Paradis Island, none of the nations outside learn about this truth.
The night after Mikasa and my marriage, Historia, Mikasa, and I are now in the bedroom as Historia says, "I'm glad that everything turns out well."
"I know..." Eren says. "And I'm really happy that you manage to endure the insults, Mikasa."
"It was nothing." Mikasa shrugs. "As long as I'm with you two."
Historia says, "Paradis is getting better day by day, thanks to the Eldian Restorationists that you saved."
(Flashback to a month ago)
I use the Founding Titan's powers to gather the rest of the pure Titans in one place, Captain Levi, Mikasa, Historia, and Hange are by my side as I let out a scream, just then, all of the pure Titans fall to the ground and they start to return to normal humans.
"You've done it!" Hange says, "Everyone has become humans again."
Historia says, "But to think there are also children... how horrible..."
"Marley sent Eldian criminals here, and as long as they have Zeke or one of the Tybur Family, they won't stop creating Titans." I sigh.
As everyone wakes up after what seems to be a nightmare to them, I walk forward and say, "Are any of you members of the Eldian Restorationists?"
A group of people tense up and a man raises his hand, "We are the Eldian restorationists..."
"I see. My name is Eren Yeager, and I'm the King of Eldia." When I say it, I can see their faces with surprise.
"Yeager? Are you related to Grisha Yeager?" A man asks.
"Grisha Yeager is my father." I say. "I assume that all of you know him?"
They scowl a little and another one asks, "That means you're related to Zeke, right? It's because of him that we were exposed!"
"Yes, I've learned about that. My father has been regretting it every day. He turned into a pure Titan like you guys, but the Owl saved him and have him eat one of the nine here and returned to human, and he continued his mission and he took the Founding Titan and gave it to me. His second son lived on this island."
The restorationists stare at me and one asks, "Are you perhaps royal blood like Zeke?"
"I am not royal blood, my father married my mother after getting into the walls." I say, "Because of Marley's warriors, my mother was eaten by the Titan of my stepmother, and I also accidentally have my stepmother killed because it was my first time using the Founder."
As they have a hard time digesting this, Historia comes to me and says, "The other Eldian criminals were taken by Hange and Levi. How was the negotiating?"
"It's fine." I reply.
Then a man steps forward and says, "My name is Wade Wolff. I was the second in command of the Eldian Restorationists. May I ask what year is today?"
"We're in Year 851. You've been Pure Titans for 19 years. I'm sure you learned the history of the first king who refused to fight, he also set up a vow that caused those who obtained the Founding Titan to be unable to use the power. He also wiped our memories of the Eldian history so that they could control the people in the walls. It was not until a year ago that we of the military overthrew the regiment of the first king. The cowards who refused to fight back."
Everyone starts to cheer, and Wade asks, "May I ask why didn't you free us when you obtained the throne from the coward king?"
Historia says, "Because we were attacked by Marley's warriors. Four of the Titans were attacking our territory. We only managed to defeat them 3 months ago, but we already lost a lot of people and we needed to recover. As the queen, I promise you, we won't abandon you. We will fight against Marley and bring back the empire that belonged to us."
Now the Eldia Restorationists are finally cooperating, and we smile at each other at the successful process.
(Flashback Ends)
"It turns out that some of them are great engineers, and they manage to make a lot of weapons for us to use. And I'm surprised that Premier Zackley, Commander Pyxis, and even Commander Nile have been cooperating as well." I say.
The two queens nod at me before it is time for us to take a rest.
And here is a new chapter, as you can see, Eren, Mikasa, and Historia are now royalty, and they also manage to get some Eldian Restorationists to their side. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be meeting with the Anti-Marley volunteers.
