Chapter 7

Eren's POV:

After a year, we have been working with the Anti-Marleyan Soldiers and the Eldian Restorationists, thus we manage to create our first port on Paradis Island. Today is the day when the nation of Hizuru arrives at Paradis, of course, I already know everything about the deal.

"Your highness, I'm glad that you will be able to join us on this occasion." Yelena bows to me, and Captain Levi just glares at her and stands in front of him, I'm not the only here, Mikasa is also here with me.

"Plenty enough for me. Today will be a joyous day. The port is complete and we're welcoming our first outside visitor. From Paradis island's sole friendly nation. Hizuru - Special Envoy Kiyomi Azumabito."

And then, the ship finally arrives as Lady Azumabito arrived and greeted all of them. I step forward and says, "As the King of Paradis, I welcome you all to the island of Paradis."

Kiyomi smiles as she shakes my hand, and when she turns to Mikasa, she is surprised as I can hear her saying, "Oh my."

Mikasa seems to be tensed up a little, maybe because of her looks. I say, "Why don't we talk inside the building? We have a lot to discuss."

After getting into the building, Lady Azumabito takes out something that looks like a cloak from a box and turns to Mikasa.

"Your highness. Do you recognize this crest?" I notice the crest, it is a three-sword and I remember Mikasa has one on her left wrist.

"That's..." Mikasa seems nervous, I say, "Show it, Mikasa."

"But my mom said to keep it a secret." Mikasa says to me.

"You showed it to me when we were little. It's a secret meant for today." I reply.

Mikasa reluctantly agrees as she shows the symbol to everyone in the room, Lady Azumabito gasps in surprise and Mikasa says, "Before she died, this symbol was passed down to me from my mother. She said I should pass it on to my child."

Lady Azumabito places her hands on Mikasa's shoulders and says, "What an admirable deed! Over a century ago, the shogun we Azumabitos descended from had a son. He was on friendly terms with King Fritz and often came to Paradis. After the Great Titan War, Hizuru was defeated and in disarray. In the confusion, a child of the shogunate was left behind on the island. You're the lost descendant of our nation's ruler! You're the hope of Hizuru!"

This causes everyone to be surprised at the news, Mikasa is already one of the queens in Paradis Island, and to think that she is the lost descendant of Hizuru...

"And to think that you're the Queen of Paradis, it will definitely strengthen our alliance while working together." Lady Azumabito smiles at her.

Once we all head back to Capital Mitras, we manage to inform everything to Historia. Historia smiles at Mikasa, "Hey, why'd you only show that mark to Eren?"

"Eh?" Mikasa looks at her with surprise.

"You've never taken off your wrist wrap for anyone." Historia says.

"Well that's..." Mikasa stutters, and I sigh, "Historia, you seem really happy."

"I am. All of us share a heavy burden because of our birth. And I'm glad that I get to marry both of you." Historia smiles.

Both of us are blushing really hard and the three of us decide to hear about the meeting.

"It's a historic day for both our nations. Today is only possible thanks to the one who brought us together, Zeke Yeager." In the meeting, Kiyomi says, "After meeting with him in secret, we agreed to an arrangement under the condition we were able to meet Lady Mikasa."

She shows the ODM gear in front of the table, I guess it was the ODM gear that he stole from us when we were fighting against him. "Zeke Jeager said if we cooperate with him, our nation may just helm an industry that restores it to its former glory. And yet, he hasn't even prospected your reserves. But a resource like that in this age of modernization would be worth its weight in jewels and treasure."

Of course, the Azumabitos love money, I'm not sure if Mikasa's mother is the same as them, but Mikasa is definitely not a money lover.

"And? What exactly is the arrangement you have with Zeke Yeager?" Historia asks.

"As you know, Zeke Yeager has a secret plan in mind. To achieve it, Hizuru's cooperation is needed. Here are his three points to protect Paradis from the rumbling." Kiyomi says.

"First is the test run of the Rumbling- to release a sample of its power and show the world its devastation. Next is Hizuru's cooperation. Your military must be strengthened until the use of the rumbling isn't necessary. And lastly, the Founding Titan and a Titan with Royal blood must be passed down. That's the third point. Since Zeke's time is almost up, he will pass on the Beast Titan to someone in Paradis and that person has to spend 13 years to bear as many children as possible."

I'm getting really angry at the last one, Historia has been concerned about the last one during these two years, and I'm not going to do it. But sadly, Historia says, "Very well. I agree to inherit the Beast Titan. As long as the Rumbling is necessary for our continued existence."

"Historia..." Mikasa is also frowning for her, and I think I should say something.

"If broken walls, trampled land, and children bred and killed like livestock, are what we must pay to stay alive... I absolutely can't accept Zeke Yeager's plan." I say, which causes both Historia and Mikasa to look at me. "It's dangerous to entrust our fate to the possession of the Rumbling. Wouldn't it be better for us to use all the time we have left to think of the best option possible?"

Lady Azumabito stares at me and I say, "However, I appreciate Hizuru's cooperation, and we agree to do some alliance and trading with you. We can talk about the deal with the Iceburst Stone."

"Very well." Lady Azumabito says.

Armin's POV:

Right now I'm watching the new Scouts training with the Thunder Spears and ODM gears. Annie was with me because she is uncomfortable with anyone else, maybe except for Hitch since she was her roommate.

It has been two months since Eren and Mikasa left for Hizuru. Apparently, the last king of Hizuru passed away because of sickness and they don't have any heirs, Mikasa is asked to become the ruler instead. I was concerned for both Eren and Mikasa because it is not going to be an easy trip.

"Hey, Armin." Annie sits beside me and I ask, "Yes, Annie?"

"Eren and Mikasa haven't returned yet?" Funny that I'm just thinking the same thing.

"Yeah. I just hope that they are safe and sound." I say.

"I'm not worried about those two. Mikasa is basically stronger than me and she's an Ackermann. And Eren has both the Founding Titan and the Attack Titan. His Founding Titan can control the Eldians there, and the Attack Titan can manipulate time so he would get out easily. With the threat of the Rumbling will make sure they will obey." Annie says.

Well, I'm not saying that she's wrong, but a lot of things have happened during these months and I just hope that nothing is going to happen to them.

"By the way, I heard that you were being asked to train with the Scouts to fight against Titans. How did it go?" I decided to ask her.

"It was definitely hard not trying to kill them because of their reckless moves." Annie sighs. "And how is your transformation training?"

"I did manage to make the destruction less." Armin says. "And it seems I can also control one limb to become twice the size."

"That's great." Annie says. "There are sometimes I have been wondering if my father is still safe... I was afraid Marley would do something to him..."

"Eren already sees the future and no matter if he did the Rumbling or not, your father would survive." Armin says.

"And that's good enough for me." Annie says, "Though I'm a little tired..."

And much to my surprise, Annie leans on my shoulder before falling asleep, I try hard not to blush at the sight.

Eren's POV:

It is not that easy these days in Hizuru, because of our blood status, a lot of the shoguns there are protesting with the Eldian blood in both of us, I was forced to have a duel against the strongest shogun... and I couldn't even transform into a Titan. It's a good thing I could still use the Titan abilities outside of the battle, and the time manipulation really helps a lot.

After that duel, we start to get a lot of respect from the other shoguns. We've also tried to benefit both Eldians and Hizuru people with a lot of new laws, and despite the protests at first, everything starts to turn out well.

"Mikasa... I'm sorry that I couldn't come back with you to Hizuru after this..." I apologize to her as we're on the ship heading back to Paradis.

"It is fine." Mikasa assures me. "I can handle myself over there. I know that you still need to be with Historia as there are some things in Paradis that you need to work on."

"You're right about that." I say. "It's a good thing we manage to get a one-month break from Hizuru until you have to return."

Mikasa nods as we see the port in front of us, and much to our surprise, all of our friends come to welcome us back, including the king.

"Eren! Mikasa!" Historia hugs both of us and says, "Welcome back."

"Yeah, we're back." I say with a smile.

"You were really lucky, you know? Being a king of two nations." Jean says.

"Somebody's jealous." Connie says.

"How is the food in Hizuru? Are they great?" Sasha asks.

A lot of questions have been going towards me, and Mikasa says, "Calm down, guys. We'll explain everything on the court."

After the court, Mikasa says, "We of Hizuru are still trying to negotiate with the other nations, hoping that we could form an alliance with the Paradis Nation. However, by doing so, Eren and I have to hide our Eldian status. As for the weaponry and the assistance, everything is according to the plan. We do trades to exchange our resources."

Eren says, "And the information will also need to be hidden from the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers, we might be able to trust them because of the cooperation, but we can't trust Zeke Yeager just yet."

I was expecting to have a lot of protests, but surprisingly everyone is really calm. Maybe because our hard work earns their respect.

Once we are finished, Historia, Mikasa, and I are alone again and Historia says, "So you're not going to always stay with us...Mikasa..."

"I'm sorry, but I'm technically the queen of Hizuru..." Mikasa frowns.

"It's fine. I know the burden. I just hope that we can meet each other often." Historia says.

"You can also come with me to Hizuru when we have time." I suggest. "And we can also bring our group there as well."

"Are you sure that Hizuru accepts us Eldians?" Historia asks.

"Right now they are cooperating." I say as we continue to chat.

Here is a new chapter, and both Eren and Mikasa also become the ruler of Hizuru because of an accident, and I hope you like it. The next chapter will be getting to Marley.
