The rays of glimmering sunlight hit her beautiful auburn locks. A perfect day; the sun gave off just enough warmth and a cool breeze swept through the huge patches of emerald green lands every so often. The gentle breeze swept her peculiar, white bangs from her face and her emerald gaze fell upon... a tall deviously handsome young man, who although she didn't know his name he had already captured her heart, however there was no use swooning over this man for her father would never allow it, he was the enemy .....and that's all she wrote

He was born and bred in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hell he loved his hometown; he'd do anything to protect it, to make sure its residents lived and thrived. But, he just couldn't fight for them in this war. Believe it or not, him, Remy Lebeau, had morals and he didn't agree with all the things the Southern states did. Example: He didn't feel slavery was right at all .It was a cruel thing to enslave and order around another human being. Also, he agreed this newer nation had to stay united in order to keep striving. Now that didn't settle quite well with his family, nor did it with all the other Southerners, but the Union reluctantly accepted Remy, they needed more healthy, strong soldiers and if he did anything peculiar, just one wrong move, he would be considered a traitor and handled like one too.

Now working for the north and being a southern boy was highly difficult when it came to the northern lads but somehow Remy got by.

Suddenly Remy felt an icy chill run down his back, a sign that someone was watching him, he scanned the area until his eyes lay upon two emerald pools of beauty.

She almost fell over from the shock and beauty of his own eyes. They gazed into each others eyes, red on black bore into her own sparkling emerald eyes.

From the moment their eyes met, he knew from that instance they could never be together. The timing was terribly awful, and with the watchful eyes of the northerners, (all their hidden spies) courting a Southern belle when he was on the opposite side could be just the one thing that could result in his death. But Remy just loved a good challenge, and this was defiantly a tough one.
