Prologue

During the Christmas season, all schools would hold a Christmas vacation, a week before the Christmas week starts. As for Odaiba high, it has already started, the sixteenth of December, a rainy afternoon.

Tai was walking to his house, when suddenly, the clouds cried and rain poured over the whole city, which made him, his goggles and his hair wet. He ran to their house, but figured out it was farther ahead, and wanted to get some shade instead, than just run crazy under the rain.

He ended up in the park, and spotted a tall Oak tree. He ran under the tree and sat down.

It viewed the whole park. "Such a spectacular view this is. Never knew the park could be so beautiful during the rain." He thought.

"Well, it's a good thing I got some shade." He said aloud, thinking no one would be there.

He was startled after hearing a faint, soft, angelic voice of a woman. He crept around the tree trunk and spotted an auburn headed girl with those scarlet crimson eyes, staring blankly at him.

"Oh. Pardon me to have surprised you. I never knew someone was here as well." She said in her low voice.

"No, it's alright actually." He said, not minding all his thoughts. "Has your school declared that the Christmas break starts now?"

The girl smiled childishly. "Sorry, I just arrived from Italy, I haven't been enrolled by my sister to any school yet."

"Oh. I see."

The girl looked at Tai with a devilish glare. "Hey, can I ask you a question this time?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Of all the dozens of trees here in the park, why did you go under this tree, aside this being the largest of them all?"

Tai smirked at the girl and sat beside her. "There's only one answer," he paused. "Maybe it's destiny."

Tai, get a hold of yourself. You're talking to an unknown person, and suddenly you say something, kinda, romantic to her or something? What has gone wrong with you? Have you lost your mind? She might get turned off you dummy.

The girl nodded as a sign of agreement, still wearing her heavenly smile. "Maybe it is."

End of prologue.
