Things definitely settled down in the Pridelands, with Kiara and Kovu helping out, it seems like Simba can take his deserved break. But a new enemy emerged, one that seems hell-bent on uniting all under the empire, and worse, the one leading the attack is someone from his past. Simba has to thread carefully between right and wrong... and make his hardest decision yet.

Mheetu ran, ran as fast as he could. He's been searching for his old home the Pridelands. It has been a long time since he was there, and a long time since Scar devastated its lands
"They won't find us here," Mheetu reassured his son. "We should be safe for now."
"Dad, what's going on?" the little cub cried "I'm scared"
"It's fine, Matu, now stay here, I'll go find some food for you."
Mheetu wandered into the forest, hoping he'd find something, anything to eat. Of course, it should've occurred to him, nobody lives in the jungle, nobody except maybe bugs.
"I guess hiding in a jungle isn't your best idea, coward."
Mheetu swiveled his head around in panic, why now? He thought he had bought more time, darn it, he should've been more careful. A lion with a jet black mane, dark brown fur and green eyes stood there before him—a slave to the king… and his former friend
"How did you…?" Mheetu snarled
"Well, I thought that maybe you wouldn't be that predictable, Mheetu" Ruudhi mocked
"Ruudhi, I know you're just doing your job," Mheetu pleaded, "but you could be better than serving him... You could join us and finally overthrow that tyrant"
"Oh, Mheetu, Mheetu, Mheetu," Ruudhi laughed, "You should know by now that I have made my decision, and you have made yours."
"Ruudhi…" Mheetu sighed, "what happened to you old friend, what happened between us?"
"You were a traitor, Mheetu, you have nobody to blame but yourself!" Ruudhi snapped
"You never could beat me, Ruudhi!" Mheetu snarled as he took a fighting stance "We both know that I'm going to win"
"I know that" Ruudhi cackled, "That's why I'm going to cheat"
A dozen lionnesses appeared from the shadows, one by one. There's no way he could take that many, it won't even end up as a fight. Mheetu growled defensively as he slowly backed up.
"Dad you are taking too long i am hun-" Matu muttered, before seeing the horrors that unfolded, his dad against an entire army
"Oh look who it is, that cute little brat," Ruudhi grinned "Are we scaring you, little fella?"
"Ruudhi, if you as much as touch that cub…" Mheetu roared, baring his teeth
"Oh Mheetu, All the blood is on your paws.." Ruudhi snarled
"D-dad what's going on?" Mheetu trembled with fear in his eyes
"RUN!" Mheetu exclaimed
"What are you waiting for? ATTACK!" Ruudhi commanded the lionesses
The two ran away as fast they can to outrun the lionesses, through trees and vines, through mud and swamps. And finally they escaped the jungle, and ran through the desert
"Stop!" one of the lionesses exclaimed
"What? Why? We were so close to getting him" the other lioness asked, "Afraid of the desert?"
"No, you fool, what im saying is that they're good as dead anyway, no one will survive a desert on its own just tell Ruudhi that they're dead after an incident since you know.. Its a desert! And we can't find the body" the lioness explained
"I dont know, they might find some sort of shelter out there," the other lioness mumbled nervously "What if they find another jungle or something?"
"Another jungle? Are you nuts?" The lionesses snickered amongst themselves as they retreated
The pridelands has never been this peaceful, no sign of threats or invasions, and with Simba as it's king, it has never been more prosperous. Ever since the outlanders and the pridelanders united, there was no more conflict, and thanks to Jasiri and her cackle respecting the circle of life, the prosperity spreaded to the Outlands as well.
Simba looked out from Pride Rock, he saw Vitani leading the Lion Guard, helping the zeal of zebras, from… wait, why are they in the hippo's mud swamp?
Meanwhile
"Dad… are we there yet?" Matu complained, "I'm thirsty"
"Just be patient, we are close" Mheetu replied then he whispers "I hope…"
"Where are we going anyway?" Matu asked
"My old home, The pridelands" Mheetu replied
"Dad.. B-but why are we leaving in the first place?" Matu asked
"We are leaving because it's dangerous there, Matu.. You'll understand when you're older" Mheetu replied "As you know, I'm not your real father, ever since you were an infant, your parents… died, and the lions who killed your parents are trying to do the same to us"
"Are you sure that Pridelands is not that far away?" Matu asked
Mheetu chuckled "It's not that far"
"Finally water" The cub spotted a leaf with water in it it might be a few but at least its enough to get him hydrated
6 days has passed the two lions are dehydrated but finally he found something that isn't a desert which is a grassy place with trees
"Are we… there yet?" Matu panted
"Yes we are" Mheetu confirmed after pointing the view of an L shaped rock
The two staggered over to the watering hole as fast, they could finally quench their thirst. That is, until a voice came from behind them
"Hey Outsider, who are you and what do you think you're doing?" A lioness asked
"Who are you?" Mheetu shoved his son behind him
"I am Vitani, leader of the Lion Guard. Now answer us, why is an outsider stealing our water!" Vitani demanded
"I mean no harm, I was in this land before and it looks like Scar has finally been overthrown" Mheetu explained "I am no outsider, just let me talk to the king"
Vitani looked skeptically at Mheetu, then looked down at his cub, eyeing them both
"Kasi, I want you to go on ahead and inform the king."
"Got it."
"All right, outsider, follow me"
"Dad… that lioness looks creepy" Matu whispered
"I heard that" Vitani called out
"He is just a cub, let him be." Mheetu defended
"I was informed that there is a rogue that claims to be a former pridelander" Simba showed up
"Your majesty," Mheetu bowed, "My name is Mheetu, I was a former pridelander who left during Scar's reign, and this is my son, Matu"
"Wait.. Mheetu, is that really you?" Nala asked
"Yes… it's me, Nala" Mheetu confirmed
"You know him?" Simba asked
"Of course, he's my little brother." Nala replied "Let him stay in the pridelands"
"Well if that's the case, I fully accept you two to stay in the pridelands" Simba announced
Ruudhi returned to the Umojelands after completing his mission on killing Mheetu and his brat, Mheetu has been a thorn to the side of the emperor since he quitted the army and turned against the empire which made him a public enemy, that and he knows a dangerous secret, one that shouldn't be revealed publicly...
Ruudhi was on his way to confirm that his mission is done and he has to report to his brother…
His brother had an uncanny resemblance on the Prideland king, with a slight tan fur, red eyes and a brown mane, scars , No one knows where he got this injuries from, surprisingly he didn't get this injuries on the wars he fought he got it since he was a cub...
"Kali.. It really is a pleasure to see you today" Ruudhi sarcastically greeted
"You have alot of explaining to do, you said Mheetu will be a trustworthy warrior, despite the fact that he is an outsider that will betray us in the future" Kali demanded
"I did what our father offered me to do, Mheetu tricked me into becoming one of his friends i didn't know he will be a coward and a traitor" Ruudhi explained
"And i did what im supposed to do I disposed him and put him in his plac-"
"And where is the body?" Kali asked
"The Lionesses said that they died after an incident in the desert, the two will be good as dead by now" Ruudhi replied
"So you're saying that you're so incompetent that you let your lionesses get away with it without receiving the body?!" Kali Snapped "They might still be alive right now!!"
"I-I swear Mheetu and that brat will be disposed of. After all, they have no family, no food, no water even if he escaped he will be dead by now he isn't used to the nature" Ruudhi stuttered
"Well I hope you're right Ruudhi or I swear, if they survived, you will be demoted on MY WISH for being an incompetent fool!" Kali Threatened
"YOUR WISH?!? you are in no position to demote me" Ruudhi protested
This angered Kali and pounced on Ruudhi, pinning him to the ground
"And what gives you power over me?!? Remember Ruudhi, I am the heir of this kingdom. I have the power to demote you and even dispose of you with a good reason and our father wouldn't care at all!" Kali snapped
Ruudhi stared at his brother, hate, anger, it was all he could think of. He bit back a dozen insults, and simply responded with a "Yes"
"Be careful on words Ruudhi.. or your biggest concern will not be of your demotion" Kali warned
Kali himself was also on a journey and he found something, something new that his father would absolutely love
"Father im here to show you something that will be a great addition as the empire's subjects " Kali announced
"What is it, Kali?" Rifalme replied, "You never do disappoint me"
"They call it the Tree Of Life, a lot of rare animals lives in this land, however the land has it's guards" Kali said presenting the target to the king "Me and my lionesses can't handle it alone so I'm requesting for a full invasion"
"Interesting" Rifalme replied with an intrigued tone
"It also has a lot of food and water" Kali continued, "Not to mention resources that could help us immensely"
"I won't send a full invasion, however, I give you permission to expand your army" Rifalme replied "It just might be enough"
"As you wish, Father" Kali replied
