This is a short Sumia x Gaius story. Short chapters but maybe a lot of them.

Warning: Alcohol.

"Cheers!" Exclaimed some of the Shepherds as they were all in a bar. Celebrating their victory against Plegia and avenging the late Exalt Emmeryn.

One of the Shepherds wasn't exactly in a festive mood though at the moment. That Shepherd was none other than the young Pegasus knight Sumia.

Sumia found herself in a state of sadness after Gangrel's defeat. And pretty much all of the sadness came after the battle. Where she watched Chrom propose to Robin, the Shepherds tactician.

And that broke Sumia's heart. So much so Sumia didn't want to sit anywhere near any of the Shepherds or speak to them. She felt happy for Chrom and Robin, but felt jealousy in her heart.

Sumia instead sat at a table in the bar alone, all by herself with no one else. With her head down and a few mugs of beer on the table. Not safe for her to drink at the age of 19.

Sumia put her head up and sighed. Her cheeks were a dark pink, as she expressed a drunk and pouty face.

Burp* Sumia let out a tiny burp as she sighed.

She turned her head as she saw Chrom and Robin sitting with each other and talking, Robin seemed drunk while Chrom was just talking with his wife.

Sumia also saw Libra getting along with Lissa. Which made Sumia even sadder.

She also glanced at her best friend Cordelia. Who seemed a bit sad at first when they all arrived at the bar. But Stahl was comforting her.

Miriel and Kellam were standing near each other. And both blushed when they were near each other but seemed happy to be in each other's presence.

Looking at everyone else in the Shepherds together made Sumia very happy, but also made her very lonely.

Sumia also hated bars. They always smelled like alcohol and beer, the bathrooms always smelled horrible (especially the men's bathroom), and it was always filled with drunk people.

Sumia in the end just sighed and continued to sit by herself. Still alone and not speaking with the others.

That was until someone walked to the table she sat at, he walked to the table. A 20 year old thief with orange hair and a head band wrapped around his head. Who also had a knack for sweets and candy.

This was none other than Gaius. The Shepherds thief who was know for his love of sweets.

Sumia was left puzzled, why did Gaius come over here? To her specifically?

"Hey Stumbles." Gaius said simply as he pulled a chair out and sat down. "Your looking pretty glum."

"Oh, hey Gaius." Sumia greeted as her eyes turned to Chrom and Robin. "Why are you sitting over here?"

Gaius shrugged as he set his alcohol glass down. "You seemed down, came to check on ya."

"Well that's very nice of you." Sumia smiled.

Gaius took a small sip of his drink before he looked at her. "I know how your feeling Stumbles."

Sumia raised an eyebrow and then asked. "What do you mean?"

"Your jealous. I can tell because I see how you look at Bubbles and Blue." Gaius shrugged. "Just a feeling."

"I know, I'm happy for them both and everyone else, but it makes me feel so lonely." Sumia stated as she slumped her head on the table.

Gaius looked at the clumsy Pegasus knight as he took the lollipop he had in his mouth out of it. He then reached in his pocket and pulled out a different lollipop.

Gaius tapped Sumia slightly with the wrapped candy. As she put her head up, Gaius handed the sweet to her.

Sumia looked at it for a second with questioning eyes and confusion. She looked up at Gaius after a few small seconds. "For me?" She asked as Gaius nodded in response.

"Sure. I'm pretty lonely too, after all." Gaius blushed a small bit as he looked away from her.

Sumia smiled as she happily accepted the candy. "You really know how to make a girl happy, Gaius."

Gaius smirked a little as he looked down at the table.

They both then met eye to eye as they both blushed and looked away from each other.

Then at the same time they both said. "I….well….I'd better……I'm going to go get another drink."

That's when the two got up and went to the counter to get more beer.

As they both went to the counter.

"Excuse me but may-" Sumia began to ask for another glass.

Until someone next to her accidentally bumped her.

"Really? Now way!" The man said as he felt like he pushed someone. He turned and spoke. "Whoops! Sorry."

Thankfully Sumia didn't fall on the ground. But rather she fell onto someone who was standing next to her before and at the time she was accidentally pushed.

Sumia fell right onto Gaius. As they both met eye to eye and body to body.

Both were surprised at the sudden fall. As everyone immediately stopped talking and looked down at the two on the ground.

Sumia's face blushed redder than raw meat and newly grown roses.

"Alright! Seems the clumsy girl and the sweet toothed thief have found each other!" Someone exclaimed as some of them clapped and cheered.

This just made the two even more embarrassed.

"N-no! It's…it's not like that!" Sumia blushed madly as she stood up and exclaimed.

"I…I don't know how to put this.." Gaius said as he stood up and blushed.

"Congrats Sumia! You found a man!" Cordelia exclaimed to her best friend. It's highly possible that she was drunk.

"Cordelia! It's…it's not like that!" Sumia stated as she was getting more embarrassed. "I..I'm leaving!"

Sumia stormed out of the bar without looking back as she didn't want to stay there in embarrassment.

"Hey wait! Stumbles…" Gaius called out as he tried to get her attention. He sighed as he grabbed his bag of gold and ran out to catch up with her.

"Go get her Gaius!" Vaike exclaimed.

Sumia was walking alone in the streets. It was completely dark out and not a single soul was awake or roaming the streets. Just her, still a little drunk and very embarrassed.

"I can't believe that happened! I'm such an idiot!" Sumia whispered to herself. Regretting ever speaking to Gaius and gaining all sorts of attention.

Sumia then thought to herself where she would go for the night. She had been traveling with the Shepherds for so long she forgot where she would go.

Fortunately the clumsy girl remembered that she had a small house in Ylisstol. So she decided to go there.

Gaius noticed Sumia walking as he wanted to catch up to her however the thief did not want her to think that she was spying on her. Even though he was following her.

"Right, I'll just go home, get ready for bed, maybe eat something, then I'll go to bed." Sumia thought to herself. "Yes, that sounds nice."

Sumia arrived at her doorstep as she took out her key. Putting the key into the door hole she began turning it. Suddenly feeling a rumble in her stomach.

Sumia gripped her stomach with her left hand. "Ooh. Those drinks probably weren't a good idea."

Sumia unlocked the door as she walked into her home. And as she lit some of the lights so she could see.

Sumia took off all of her armor as she sat it on one of the couches in her home. She then removed some of her clothing as she walked to the bathroom and locked the door.

Sumia removed the rest of her clothing as she sat onto the toilet.

Gaius was walking by Sumia's house to talk to her. Until he suddenly stopped by her window.

Gaius wanted to make sure Sumia was alright so he stood up to look through the window.

Gaius was immediately caught of guard when he saw a naked Sumia in her bathroom while she was sitting on the toilet. Doing her business.

Gaius wanted to look away because it was an invasion of Sumia's privacy.

But Sumia's body was so beautiful to Gaius.

"Gods, Stumbles' body is so perfect." Gaius thought to himself.

Gaius then immediately stopped looking through the window as he didn't want the Pegasus knight to spot him.

Gaius couldn't stop thinking of Sumia's body though. It was like a memory that would be in his head for the rest of his life. He couldn't get it out of his head.

Sumia was so sweet, kind, beautiful, and a great baker. Gaius really wanted her in his life. He needed her.

So the orange haired thief decided to walk to her front door. After he heard a toilet flush, he decided to knock on the door.

Sumia heard knocking at her door. So after she washed her hands she immediately threw on her clothes. The clothes she wore with her armor but decided to forget putting on armor.

"Hold on! I'm getting dressed!" Sumia called out.

Gaius blushed when he heard that. As suddenly the door opened to reveal Sumia.

Sumia smiled until she saw Gaius. As soon as she saw him she immediately blushed.

"G-Gaius!" Sumia said in complete surprise as she stepped back a little as the thief's visit surprised her.

"Hey, Stumbles." Gaius greeted as he looked down at the ground and blushed.

"Wh-what are you doing here?" Sumia asked.

"Well, I…I thought that…sorry about what happened at the bar. It was…" Gaius' was interrupted as Sumia hugged him which completely caught the thief off guard.

"It wasn't your fault Gaius." Sumia said. Not realizing that she was hugging him because her thoughts were clouded by him. Just Gaius inside of her mind. "WAIT! Why am I hugging you?! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to…oh gods no.."

"Hey, Stumbles. It's alright." Gaius said as he put his finger to her lip. "There's no need for words."

"R-right." Sumia nodded. "Um, you can come inside." She walked into her home.

Gaius shrugged. "Sure." Gaius walked into her house as she sat his giant bag of gold onto the floor.

Sumia sat down onto the couch. "You can sit down if you want."

"If your okay with it, Stumbles." He said as he sat next to Sumia. Causing both to blush again.

It was completely silent for the next few minutes. Both just sat there and didn't say anything.

But after all the silence Gaius decided to break the silence.

"Hey..Stumbles. I mean Sumia." Gaius looked at her. She said her name, which was rare for him. "There's something I need to tell you."

"There's something I also need to tell you." Sumia agreed.

"Okay, here goes. Sumia…"

"Gaius I'm crazy about you!" Sumia bluntly spurt out. "I can't thinking about you and I love you so much!"

Sumia then blushed as she covered her mouth. She probably thought that Gaius didn't feel the same way as she did.

But the answer out of Gaius' mouth surprised Sumia.

"I…I feel the exact same way." Gaius stated as he held her hand. "I'm crazy about you Stumbles, I love everything about you."

"G-Gaius…"

"I'm sorry about what happened Stumbles." Gaius looked at her with serious eyes. "Why don't we spend the rest of the night together? Just you and me?"

"Um, sure." Sumia nodded as she then looked up at him.

"Also…" Gaius pulled something from behind his back. It was a sack that was filled with bottles of alcohol.

"Wh-alcohol?!" Sumia exclaimed in complete shock. "Gaius, you didn't steal it did you?!"

"Well….that bartender did owe me." Gaius said smiling.

"GAIUS!" Sumia yelled at him.

"What it's just a few bottles." Gaius shrugged as he opened one of the bottles as he handed it to Sumia. While he opened one for himself. "Drink up, if you want."

Sumia looked cautiously at the bottle of alcohol. There was a sign on it that claimed it was Bleeding Pure Beer. Alcohol that can make the person who drinks it drunk within a few small drops of it.

"Fine, I'll take a risk. B-but just this once." Sumia thought to herself as she lifted the glass to her mouth. As the liquids that were contained in her bottle fell onto her lip and into her mouth.

1 hour later….

"Your….prettier when your naked…..Stumbles.."

"Ahahahahahaha! Yours….so….funny….Gaius…Hahaha!"

The two embraced a kiss as they piled into each other, on Sumia's bed, both naked.
