"Sid, slow down. Please, school just started." I mumble forgetting that Sid is an alpha wolf in training.

"Exactly why you should speed up class starts soon and just because you're allowed to be late doesn't mean you should be." Sid says out loud.

"Aww if it isn't want to be alpha and his want to be girlfriend." Joe snickers.

"Shut up Joe. She is my sister."

"I know man I am just picking." Joe and Sid are the two Alpha's kids and you would think that seeing as they are the alphas of the school they would be popular but they aren't because well we go to an all vampire school and the packs are trying this thing called exchange students. It sucks literally. At first Alpha Alexander was against it but my mom was all I'll let Mary go. Yes my name is Mary and I am a werewolf. Sid is my step brother and the next alpha.

"Mary, girl you look fine as hell." Angel whistles and shouts from across the hall. I run and jump on his back.

"You are sexy as hell." I smile in his shoulder blades as Sid walks up and Joe just growls but walks up eventually.

I have known Angel since preschool. He was my grandma's neighbor's grandson. Until mom found her true mate and well I still keep him updated and visit him on holidays.

"Angel, we told you as the next royal you should not even touch such foul creatures." Fanny says with disgust at me.

We are in the middle of the second hour when me and Angel are summoned to the principal's office. Angel's father is there.

"Angel, Mary I am told you two are close."

"Um… yes uh sir." We both say.

"Angel, do I need to remind you as the next king of our people, your actions are being watched. My mother may have approved of you two being close but son I think it is time you come to the castle."

"Actually I think it is best you come back to the pack." Sid's dad says standing up.

"Dad,What do you mean you are pulling Mary from this school?" Sid runs in.

"Your sister is no longer allowed off the pack's land. The elders say she is getting involved with the next royal of the vampires and they don't like it."

"They have been friends for years. We knew about it for years so why now."

"She is no longer a child, Sid. She needs to be trained to be a soldier and possibly a Luna."

"Um, can I at least stay until lunch so I can say bye to some of my other friends."

"No We need to get back to the pack."

"Yes sir. I'll um go grab my stuff."

"Father, can she at least say bye to Joseph Blacklung."

"He will be at the pack in two days to celebrate your birthday and ceremony."

I quickly grab my backpack and say my goodbyes to Loren and Sarah. I go to the Alpha's side and kneel.

"Angel, you need to understand it is for your guys best interest that we keep you two apart. If she has a mate and he is headstrong into the whole "vampires are the enemy" thing then She is going to be hurt if he gets killed or you do."

"I would never hurt him."

"I don't think that is the point, Angel. I have to be loyal to my kind and you have to be loyal to yours."

"See she gets it." Angel's dad grumbles. Angel rolls his eyes at me.

"Angel, I would have had to leave at the end of this semester anyways which is at the end of this week aka tomorrow."

"I don't get why we are getting punished for being friends." Angel growls.

"You are a vampire and she is not. We both know that vampires and werewolves don't get along." Sid growls. "No matter how much we try to get them to stop fighting."

"Angel, I promise you that we are still going to be friends okay? We are just going to have to be distant for a while. Let everyone calm down and go from there okay?" I whimper at him.

"Fine, but you better keep in touch." Angel says hugging me and glares at his father. "Next week I will be at the castle. I want one thing in return. Fanny is forbidden to enter the castle."

"Deal." His father says and I head to the car after finishing giving Angel a hug.

"Angel is not welcome at the pack until you can prove that you are faithful to the pack." Sid's dad growls. "I was pulled from an important meeting with Alpha Jackson because of the elders. Mary, You are not a child you need to think about the pack and you need to stop thinking about yourself." He growls and I look at the floor. "I am not a fan of being strict with you because I know you have not been around a father figure before."

"Alpha, I don't understand, I am always faithful to the pack and you can be a little bit tougher on me. I am not breakable. Also I think about the pack all the time but Angel was my friend long before I was part of the pack."

"Exactly my point, you are not in the past, you need to stop living in the past."

"Then why do we have to even listen to the elders? Vampires are trying to make friends with us and put the past behind us but whenever a werewolf is willing to step up and get close to them the elders step in and stop it. The war is never going to end if we don't stop living in the past. At least I am putting my friend before the past."

"Mary, this is the most you have ever said to me. Your mom said that she thinks you and I are in need of some bonding time but we should have done it a long time ago."

"So I am the unwanted child, the one that is not needed. Sid is your heir, Sarah and Kevin are yours and my mom's mated kids and I am the unwanted child that came out of my father raping my mom. I get it and now I have a vampire for a friend and the elders are not happy with me." My wolf growls and I feel the urge to run. I feel the bond snap into place and my mom instantly starts yelling at the Alpha.

"I told you to bond with her not make her feel unwanted! You idiot! It's not like she had a choice in who her dad was! I swear you better fix this or you are sleeping on the couch!" And I feel her putting up her wall.

"Well, I think we should be happy to be on the pack's land. Driver! Stop the car!" When the driver stops I start to get out. "I need to go for a run. I will meet you at your office." I say fully getting out of the car. I shift quickly and head to the alpha's office. Alpha Jackson glares at me when I pass him.

"Vampire lover." He spits at me and I growl. Sid's dad growls louder and glares at me.

"Jackson, keep your opinion to yourself." My mother growls at him. My mom is pregnant again I see and I would not piss her off about her pups when she is.

"Luna Lizzie, I didn't see you there." Jackson says, glaring at me.

"You came here to talk peace. Pissing off my mate is not going to help your cause." Alpha glares at him.

"Alpha Lucifer is hunting for a mate and he wants a war with anyone who forbids him from entering their lands. I heard rumors that he slaughtered the whole haunted blade pack for denying him access the day after your step daughter was there."

"Your crazy old man. I met Alpha Lucifer and we talked about how he needs to find his mate." I growled at him. "Alpha Lucifer and I met two days ago outside of the school and we actually had a great conversation."

"You talked to him and you didn't tell anyone?" Alpha Jackson glares at me.

"I don't run my friends by my pack." I growl and walk past him.

"I think you should leave Jackson before I have to separate my mate from you and then kill you for hurting my unborn child."

I head to my favorite place in the house, the kitchen. I start pulling out food to make myself a sandwich when my mom comes in and sits down at the counter.

"So I hear you and Angel are extremely close." I hear her say and I roll my eyes.

"I have always been close to Angel but you and I both know where my loyalty lies. I'm a wolf, he is a vampire. I love to piss off people, it's fun to me. He does too. The reason we became friends is to piss off people."

"Well I can't help you if you keep it up. Alpha Jackson is going to be back and Alex is trying to keep you safe. I'm due in two months and I'm supposed to be on bed rest next month."

"Luna Lizzie, my mom said she needs you to sign some documents for this weekend." Lucy smirks at my mom while glaring at me. I roll my eyes and finish making my sandwich heading up to my room.

I have always been an outsider to this pack. Yet I could easily take them all on in a fight so they leave me alone. My brother should be coming home tomorrow and they will throw a huge feast in his favor.

I head to the arena and catch Lucas training with the warriors.

"Hey asshat I am back." I shout to him and he looks in my direction.

"Came out to train I hope?"

"Yeah I need to let off some steam."I say entering the area.

"Vampire lover," I hear a warrior grumble. I locate the source and grab him by his ear.

"I think you should be a little bit nicer to me. I am not a fan of name calling." I say leading him to the center ring.

"Mary! Let go of him! Beta Jimmy says running up to me. "He is Warrior Thomas' son."

"Warrior Thomas needs to teach his son to keep his mouth shut. He would be a better warrior if he did."

"Beta Jimmy, is there a reason why my son is in the fighting ring right now?" Warrior Thomas says looking at his son and then at me.

"Your son was being disrespectful to me. I decided he was going to be my opponent. You can always take his place if you want." I growled and warrior Thomas stepped in the Ring.

I never told people that I trained with Angel to be good at fighting. I took down several rogues once. Everyone was surprised.

"You shouldn't disrespect me girl. I am not a trainy I actually have killed."

"Then you should be able to fight me with no problem." I smirk. "Beta Jimmy, you are the referee for this match." Everyone gathered around the fighting ring.

"First fight is the wolf; second is human and the third is whatever you choose. The first to land a blow wins that round. Ready… shift…" we shift "now!"

I wait knowing he is going to attack first and sure enough he comes at me. I smile and dodge his attacks. I pinned him to the floor and won the first round.

"First one goes to Mary! Second one… go get some clothes on" I quickly go behind the arena and grab some clothes and head back to the arena. "Ready… set… fight!"

It doesn't take long for warrior Thomas to come to fight me but again I dodge his attacks and it isn't long before I pinned him again to the floor.

"Mary wins again so that is 2 to 0. I want to see if we can get 3 to 0." I roll my eyes and everyone freezes as Alpha Alexander enters the room.

"Warrior Thomas, I do hope you are training with Mary and not doing what I think you are doing. Which is fighting her."

"His son was being disrespectful to Mary so she challenged him to a fight." Beta Jimmy says, looking at the floor.

"You can't be serious! Mary, go to your room until I tell you that you can come out!"

"I won this fight anyways." I say leaving the arena.

"Warrior Thomas, I suggest you teach your son to respect my family. I do not want to hear about this again." I hear him say and follows me to the pack house.

I head to my room and stay there until Beta Jimmy knocks on my door.

"Alpha Alexander wants you in his office." He says and shuts the door. I head to Alpha Alexander's office and knock.

"Enter." He growls and I open the door, closing it behind me. "Mary, why is it that everytime today I turn around you are causing fights or I am getting reports about you?"

"Because people are pissing me off and thinking they can push me around."

"That doesn't mean you can fight people."

"You are just mad that I beat your warrior."

"You can't be serious. That's not why I am mad. You need to learn that people are going to judge you and say things to piss you off. Fighting is not the answer."

"Does your mom know?"

"I packed my stuff up and put them in storage over at Joseph Blacklung's pack. Mom knows because she caught me last semester with the last of my stuff in my car."

"You turn 18 in two weeks. What if you meet your mate here?"

"Not happening, he is going to reject me." I say and walk to a chair.

Elders this… elders that… I think that we should just leave and go to Angel's side. He understands us.

2 weeks later.

"You are going to be a good mate for me." The wolf that I attacked the other night smirks and I growl and then I smell him and I know he is close. I've known that smell for years.

"Angel is going to tear these men to pieces the moment he sees us."

"Um, more like we did it together. My grandma was a nanny and some kids decided to play rough and I hate 3 on 1 fights so I got involved. That's actually how we met. He actually trained me to fight growing up. I taught him how to cook. We were inseparable after that."

"My mom says she had to take you two out of your grandma's hands and watch you both."

The guard yells and we bow as we enter towards the King and Queen of wizards and witches and then we head to the ball area. "Alpha Alexander and Luna Lizzie of the black ridges pack and soon to be Alpha and Luna Sidney and Anna." I smile and I can't wait to see them and speak to them in person." That's all the guest your highnesses" the guard says and the king rises.

"As we all know there is a crazy wolf appearing on all of the borders. We don't know who he wants but he is yelling about a mate being taken away from him and he wants her back. If anyone can find out who…"

Before he can finish the upstairs doors open and I freeze in my tracks. It's Lorence and he is going off his rockers.

"Give me my mate you thief I know you have her. You took her from my side and destroyed my pack."

"I know I am sorry he got away from us that day. Go stand by your family and I will handle this." I run to my mom's side and she sees my look.
