Hello everyone, this is just a re-write of the rabbit brother story with some changes and an extra chapter. As I have said this is mostly (Brother)OC-centric. The story will be harem with many other relationships such as MiachxNaaza, MikotoxTake. Ais will be paired with Bell, but Artemis will be paired with the OC, not Bell. This is not negotiable and will not be changed. As I wrote when I first uploaded the original one, this story unlike the others, this is mostly to satisfy my own fantasies and will include many crossovers from all over the place, like pokemon, SAO, Azur lane, Genshin, God of War and so on. If its suggestions and advices they are welcome but please keep to yourrself and do not complain if its about the pairings because this is the story in which they already decided and won't change them.

Bringing you up to date, I'm currently working on another chapter for the renard story, then I will probably continue the dragonoid one. This story will be randomly updated as it is mostly re-write, so chance is that this story will be updated far more regularly.

With that being said, if you're interested to read the story then I do hope you enjoy.

Danmachi – The Bunny Brothers

Chapter 1 – The Secret Rabbits Of Justice

In the vast lands of Gekai are numerous countries and even more unknown territories. Amidst all of it is the independent adventurer city of Orario, the place called the centre of the world. Orario, famous for harbouring the dungeon, the only one in existence in the whole of Gekai, the birthplace of all monsters.

On this fated day, two particular individuals, cloaked in brown and ragged cloths arrive at the massive walls of Orario. These two figures were unknown to the outside world, as of now. Though they are bound to soon rise to be the heroes in the history of mankind. But alas, everyone starts from zero, however, few make the effort and have the luck to succeed at such heroic deeds and be forever remembered in history as immortal legends.

.

The two cloaked people arrived at the heavily guarded northern gate of the city. The guards stationed there were rightfully sceptical of the two cloaked figures, but after having verified their intentions they soon allowed entry into the notorious city of Orario fairly easily.

In order to start out their journey the two decided to venture around the city to complete the arduous task of finding a Familia. Finding an accepting Familia wasn't easy, and the older of the two wasn't as naïve nor as optimistic as his younger counterpart, being aware of the difficulty of finding one. As they entered the market area, the smaller of the two figures couldn't help but pull back his hood just enough so that his face stuck out in order to take it all in.

The mysterious being was revealed to be a young boy, possibly around the age of fourteen. His candid, snow white hair slightly poke out and the bright rubellite red eyes were greeted by the sun's rays. His small and cute face looked ecstatic at the completely new and unknown world that was laid bare before him. A scenery he had never imagined or experienced in his life as a farmer in a small northern rural village, far from civilisation.

There were shops of all kinds and tall and beautiful buildings that he'd never seen before, various races and foods were also introduced to his eyes. It was unlike anything he had ever seen. The taller figure stood behind him, the soft smile imprinted on his face being the only visible feature as he watched the boy overflow with excitement and joy.

The taller figure ushered the boy forward, exploring the city for all the new things that there were to be experienced. The taller figure solely hoped to find a Familia as soon as possible. It was necessary in order to follow through with the parting dream, will and wish of their grampa.

Minutes went by, hours went by, yet they couldn't find a Familia. The older teen stood somewhere hidden as he observed the boy getting rejected each time. The taller of the two probably wouldn't have problems in being accepted, for he was around a head taller than the boy and his body was fairly well developed, which the same couldn't be said about the boy.

The boy was smaller and looked comparatively weaker to the older of the siblings. They'd always look at him indignantly and then kick him out whilst insulting or laughing at him. He had a childish look and always sported a bright smile, but unfortunately that wasn't a trait that belonged to an adventurer. The two continued to look for a Familia for the next two days, during which they made a friend.

.

As the two of them were walking around in the alleys someone called out to them.

"Hey! Who are you? And what are you doing here?"

The two turned and saw a slate blue haired girl. She had a serious look as she cautiously approached them. The two boys stared at her with confused looks, which somewhat annoyed the girl as it seemed as if they weren't taking her seriously.

"Hey?! What's with those looks? Are you mocking me?"

The two were quick to apologize the blue haired girl.

"We were just passing through here."

"Is that so?"

The girl's personality did a complete one-eighty, as she smiled brightly and happily introduced herself.

"My name is Ardee. I'm the vice-captain of the Ganesha Familia. Sorry about that."

The three kept talking for a while where Ardee learnt about their troublesome events in the city and spent the time to get acquainted.

"I'm afraid I have to go but if you still need help later come to my Familia home. I'm cheering for you, don't give up!"

With a lively wave she left.

'We haven't told her our names.'

The two watched her disappear before continuing their search for yet another day until they were met with yet more trouble. The two stopped by an alley in order to discuss the problem that had arose.

"Bell, we don't have that much money left."

Speaking to the smaller boy named Bell, the taller figure, who until now had never revealed his face to anyone, double checked the amount that was contained in the purse in his hand. His voice was soft and gentle, transmitting a feeling of kindness and warmth.

"The Familias we went to won't accept. We've already scouted around thirty Familias and … sob … I'm sorry onii-sama. I'm dragging you down."

Bell faced down, looking dejected. The brother looked at the rabbit with a smile and ruffled his hair.

"It's fine Bell, but don't let this tie you down. Remember to not give up, we even promised Ardee."

He nodded.

"Well now, we could rent a room for another day or we could get the starting equipment from the Guild."

The two thought about it, but there was no point in wasting money on a room if they couldn't find a Familia, which was statistically low, very low, considering their attempts up until now. With that in mind, the two set out towards the Guild, to start their journey.

Falna or falnaless, they'd start their adventure regardless, to become the legendary heroes they vowed to become. They had sworn an oath to do so when they left their village. They didn't have to come to Orario, a lot of old friends of theirs had offered them special places in other nations, but the two refused.

The two had promised to their grampa and to the two living legends, to their only family left, that the next time they were to meet, they'd be the heroes that they failed to be. With their grampa having to leave, the two decided to set out to start their tale. Meanwhile the two living legends that were the last members of the of their family decided to take on a journey of their own. Promising to meet with the two boys in the future.

Just after the two left the alley, a petite and pretty Goddess arrived on the scene. She searched around for something or someone. She was a tiny Goddess that had just descended and was now trying to start up a Familia and was told that there were two candidates here. However, as she got there, not a single soul was to be found in the vicinity. Clearly frustrated she lost her chance to start a Familia and she desperately ran back to plead a certain red haired Goddess to help her and not get kicked out from her house.

.

Bell and his brother arrived at the Guild. A tall building made with white marble and rare old blackwood, gold and silver was laid intricately to decorate the walls. The two entered the lavish building that was currently bustling with adventurers. They were doing all different kind of things, looking for quests, accepting them, turning in their loot and getting paid. Bell looked with shining eyes at the sight that he had dreamed of for so long.

Following his brother, they headed to the reception, where they found a pretty girl sat at the desk. She had light brown hair, two emerald eyes and the most eye catching detail, her pointy ears. An elf, or a half-elf judging by the length. As they approached the reception, the girl looked up and greeted them with a trained welcoming smile.

"Good morning, welcome to the Guild of Orario. I'm Eina Tulle. I've never seen your faces before. Are you perhaps new around here?"

The two nodded.

"I'm Bell, Bell Cranel, this is my onii-sama Nuri Celestea Cranel."

Eina looked at the newly introduced brother who still hadn't revealed his face.

"We arrived three days ago and are looking to become adventurers."

Eina wasn't surprised but something gripped her heart, it made her apprehensive when she heard their goal. A cute young rabbit looking boy wanted to venture into the dungeon, she would love if he did anything else, but she couldn't deny them for it was not within her right.

After pointing out the dangers in hope of making them give up, all of which was futile, she reluctantly took them over to register, leaving a colleague to man the desk as she registered the new adventurers.

She curiously looked at Bell, particularly his rare if not unique traits. She had never seen someone with such clear white hair and bright red eyes. His face looked cute which was why it reminded her of a rabbit. Eina lightly slapped her cheeks to focus and procured them with the forms needed to register. The form required: name, surname, age and place of origin.

It then asked about Familia and level which were left blank. Eina knew that everyone tended to judge unfairly. It was selfish of the Gods and of the members to not even allow them a chance, but that was just her personal stand and that she did not have the power to change.

However, this made her even more worried about them going into the dungeon. There was no rule or law which stopped people from entering the dungeon without a falna so she couldn't stop them. The final option was to hope that they required an advisor, which she really hoped they'd say yes to.

Luckily for her, the two accepted her offer. When asked if they had requirements for the Guild advisor, Bell added his preference of elves, while Nuri simply shrugged. Eina nodded and internally rejoiced as she had a chance to help them improve their survivability rate, but only showed a small smile on her face.

Seeming as she couldn't do anything else other than teach them she resigned herself to teaching them to the best of her abilities. She then looked at the pair of brothers and knew that the two wouldn't wait to enter the dungeon, as such she decided to finish the registration, before having them follow her to a private room in the back in order start the lessons, where she'd teach them not only about the dungeon but also about the city of Orario, Babel, Familias and the blessings of the Gods that gave them their falna, which granted them their power.

She explained everything in detail from Orario until the fifth floor of the dungeon. She finally ended by explaining about the falna and the how the system worked: how the status starts at I0 and every hundred points the letter rank increases: I, H, G, F, E, D, C, B, A, S. The numbers start at 0 and go up to a maximum of 999.

In order to level up one must first have at least one of the stats at D and then complete a deed worthy of a level up in the eyes of the Gods. Though she highly recommended to level up the other statuses to make the level up more efficient as the previous points are added on to the one of the next levels.

Otherwise one would fall behind others of the same level. It would also make no sense to level up with one stat in the D category while all the other stats are in the G rank. It would inevitably make you the amongst the weakest.

She then explained the various status': strength, endurance, dexterity, agility, and magic. She also explained the skills which can be gained from levelling up as well as other skills which are solely dependent on one's soul. As for magic she was not sure as it is very rare and as a result, she didn't have much information in regards to it. She then explained that the main source of income for adventurers are the cores of the monsters which drop after they are killed, called magic stones.

In addition some monsters might also drop items which are usually worth a lot. With the long duration of the lessons and everything taken to heart, Bell asked Eina about starting gear, which took whatever remainder the two had of money.

The kit included a dagger for Bell, a short sword for Nuri, a satchel with three potions, shinpads, and arm protectors, but since they had a sturdy chest plate gifted to them from their village they were given an extra potion each instead of getting the standard issued chest plate.

The two equipped themselves and departed from the Guild building, waving goodbye to Eina and heading towards the dungeon. Eina had stressed how they shouldn't enter the dungeon without a blessing. It wasn't illegal per se, but it was strictly advised against, to which the two nodded but decided to head in nonetheless without telling Eina.

Unbeknownst to Eina, who thought of the two as complete rookies. Nuri wasn't new to combat at all, already having been trained in the skills of using weapons of all sorts such as katanas, axes, knives, bows, longswords and many other before coming to Orario.

Those trained skills were still imprinted in his muscles and brain, making it easier for Nuri, to deal with the goblins and kobolds, while providing cover for Bell. Bell on the other hand, hadn't received training to fight, though he had been taught how to defend himself using knives and daggers, allowing him to get by fairly easily.

But the dungeon was a ruthless and unforgiving enemy and Nuri saw this as a chance to start teaching him on how to use his newly acquired dagger, after all one could never be too careful. The two then spent several hours in the dungeon before they decided to go to the second floor.

A choice which they'd regret the moment Eina was to learn about this, though they didn't know the might of her scolding at that time and could only come to regret it at a later date. With that in mind, Bell and his brother spent a few more hours training on the second floor.

During their time on the second floor Bell nearly died a few times by the hands of kobolds, monsters which were much fiercer and stronger than the small green monsters, that or goblins, when there were just too many.

Once Bell was obviously exhausted, with a few cuts here and there and his clothes tattered from the many fights, Nuri, who also was getting tired from the excessive killing, decided to head back to turn in the magic stones from their day of killing kobolds and goblins.

As soon as they returned to the Guild they were met with a restless and terrified Eina. The two were mercilessly dragged to a room in the back, where she reprimanded them for making her worry and being irresponsible. But hell only let loose after she heard their report. Eina kept scolding as if possessed for nearly an hour for they had been irredeemably careless in the eyes of Eina, risking their lives recklessly.

Eina calmed down eventually and she ended the scolding with a deep sigh of desperation before taking them to turn in their share of magic stones. The two brothers were exchanging their stones when they watched a particular Goddess approach their advisor.

"Hey Eina-chan, how's work?"

The two turned to face the red haired Goddess, whom they easily recognised after a short glance. Loki led one of the strongest Familias in all of Orario, which only Freya could be said to surpass due to the presence of a level seven. The scarlet haired Goddess proceeded to move closer to examine the half elf, which was expected. As famous as she was, they had also heard of her perverted nature.

Loki was bored out of her mind, like most of the times. Not having her Familia around due to the expedition only amounted to her boredom. The Goddess then turned to look at the two boys, the white hair, red eyes and cute face of Bell instantly caught her attention. Nuri and Bell greeted her with a cordial bow, though Bell's face suggested both fear and excitement. Loki though was simply giggling with a grin as she found him adorable.

"New charges, eh?"

Eina nodded slowly and sighed whilst holding her head.

"Yes, a pair of problematic and reckless adventurers."

"Hehehe, cut them some slack Eina. Well, hope to see you two around again."

They waved as the Goddess left the Guild building and headed back home. Watching the Goddess leave, they also noticed that it was getting late, so they gathered their earnings and waved at Eina before leaving the Pantheon as well.

.

Bell and Nuri looked into their pouch, the glint of the valis coins they had earned brought joy to the two as it should last them for at least a couple of days.

"We made a good amount for the first two floors. We should manage to stay in that inn for two more days with this."

"That's great, onii-sama. During those two days we can make more and make a start."

His sibling nodded with a calm smile.

"But remember we also need to find a Familia, we won't get anywhere by venturing into the dungeon without a falna."

"I see. Then to-"

Bell was interrupted by the sound of a girl screaming. The sound came from an alley on the right side of the street they were walking, just a few meders in front of them. The two exchanged looks before silently approaching the alley.

The pair of siblings peeked around the corner and saw men wearing white robes surrounding two women. The three men didn't seem to be stronger than your average everyday ruffian. Honestly, in Nuri's eyes, the bandits they met on the way to Orario looked better equipped and trained than these unknown men.

The two women on the other hand, were anything but ordinary. One seemed to be a cute pallum girl, pink hair and pink eyes. She was on her knee, with weird bladed fan like weapons in her hand, but judging by the panting and strained look on her face she was clearly exhausted. Cuts and bruises littered her tiny body, showing the signs of fighting.

The pallum was currently shielding another woman. Both Nuri and Bell could easily notice that the woman behind the pallum was a Goddess. She was beautiful, with walnut brown hair and indigo eyes. She wore simple white robes that really brought out her beauty.

"What do you think you're doing? Do you even know who this is? Don't think you'll get away with this!"

"Don't worry we'll take good care of you as well after we're done with your Goddess."

The pallum shouted defiantly at the thugs but the assailants didn't seem to be listening to her.

"Onii-sama, we need to do something."

Nuri nodded and looked up the building they were hiding behind.

"Bell would you be able to take one?"

"With what you taught me? Definitely."

"Move closer and hide behind the nearby crates. Take the closest one to you after I get their attention."

Bell nodded and watched as Nuri grabbed onto the bricks protruding from the wall of the building, silently climbing the house until his frame disappeared over the roof. Bell then started moving closer until he was behind the a stack of crates, observing the scene and waiting for Nuri to make the first move.

Nuri who was now above them, started to tie a string around the handguard of his short sword. This would make sure the sheath didn't fall and expose the blade, he didn't want to kill them after all, just incapacitate them.

Seeing Bell behind the crates, Nuri jumped down, landing on the man in the middle of the group. He slammed his feet into the back of the man, instantly grabbing the attention of the two women and the two remaining robed men.

"Hey."

Nuri then turned to his right to face one of the assailants, while the one, now behind him, raised his knife.

"Watch out!"

The pallum girl shouted but Nuri wasn't worried about the danger behind him as he fully trusted Bell to take care of it. As the man was about to slash at the white haired boy, the concern proved to truly be unnecessary as Bell rushed out.

The attacker saw the rabbit running towards him and changed targets from one bunny to the other. The slash cut nothing but the air as Bell slid under. A hit to the wrist caused the knife of the unknown man to drop, before Bell grabbed onto the arm. He twisted and slammed the man down to the ground.

Bell then finished the evildoer with a punch to the face. Just at that happened, Nuri deflected a strike from his opponent before slamming the hilt of his short swords into the man's face, knocking him out. With the three assailants downed, the girls breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Good job Bell."

Bell smiled proudly and nodded, before both turned to the two girls who had been the first victims.

"Are you two alright?"

They nodded at the concerned question of the two rabbits.

"Thank you, to the both of you."

Nuri smiled at the two of them but his attention was grabbed by a slightly strained grunt. He turned around to see one of the three downed men grabbing their white robe. He started to move towards him, ready to knock him out but his eyes widened in shock instead.

Parting the robes, Nuri's eyes widened as the man revealed that a kaenseki vest hidden below it. An evil grin grew on the man's face, chuckling at the prospect of blowing himself up. A truly maniacal mirth that was hard to find even in the most deranged of people.

"Bell, cover!"

Nuri didn't hesitate and tackled the two girls down, while Bell dove down behind crate as soon as he heard his brother shout the command. Just as Nuri dove on the two ladies, the men that was laughing grabbed his vest and set off the explosion.

The dust cleared as Nuri got off the girls and looked back at the epicentre of the explosion. He looked at the burnt surroundings not expecting such an action but wasn't as disturbed as Bell who could only look on with shock and horror.

"H-how could he do something like this?"

The pallum girl looked at Bell and spoke with a cold tone.

"Lowlifes that have no care and disregard all life, even their own."

Nuri turned back to look at the group behind him.

"But they seemed to all wear the same thing. Like a uniform, who would take such people in. Even for an evil organization, this seems exaggerate."

Finally, the Goddess talked, revealing the identity of such dark people.

"That's because Evilus isn't like any other organization."

Both Bell and Nuri turned to look at the Goddess, not knowing who they were.

"A terrible group of monsters that are trying to destroy Orario and Gekai. They steal, murder and commit crimes without hesitation or a shred of mercy. Horrible beasts that only know how to hurt others."

There was clear venom in her cold speech, a symbol of the hatred the Goddess possessed towards this organization. She didn't hide any of her hostility as she described the atrocities they committed. Though they were soon interrupted by the arrival of the Ganesha Familia guards, who must have rushed there after hearing the explosion.

"Astraea-sama! Are you alright?!"

The four turned to see a group of people dressed in orange tunics approaching them.

"I am fine, thanks to these two."

"What happened here?"

"We were attacked by Evilus members, luckily these two boys intervened and saved us. After the fight ended one of them tried to blow us up with a suicide attack."

"I see, in any case, please head to the Guild to get treatment. We'll take over here."

The Goddess nodded and turned to the two rabbits, asking if they would join her as well as help her carry the pallum girl. As the two got up, Nuri staggered attracting the attention of the other three. A large but shallow cut around his chest caused blood to drip down onto the cold stone. Bell and Astraea grew immediately worried.

"Don't worry, it's just a light cut. Must be from the explosion earlier."

The older rabbit reassured them and stood up, but Astraea quickly offered her shoulder. Unseen by them, the pallum girl was shocked to see her Goddess be so friendly and close to the two boys, but the shock soon turned to embarrassment as she had Bell carry her on his back, due to her extensive injuries.

Both Bell and Nuri blushed a little from their situation. Both girls, despite the fight that broke out before, had a floral fragrance, which they found very much to their taste. Their bodies were softly pushed against them and their proximity made the two nervous.

Quickly, the two banished the evil thoughts that threatened to corrupt them, blaming their guardian for the existence of such thoughts. To avoid the situation from getting awkward Nuri decided to start a conversation, remembering that they didn't know their name.

"Oh right, my name is Nuri Celestea Cranel, this is my little brother Bell Cranel."

"Hehe, we have matching names. Must be fate that I met you two. It's a pleasure to meet you Nuri, Bell. My name is Astraea, the Goddess of justice. The pallum here is a level five member of my Familia, Lyra."

"How was she so badly injured?"

"She was caught off guard and poisoned."

The two rabbits followed Astraea, one leaning on her, the other carrying Lyra. The Goddess also took the liberty to explain the situation in Orario whilst walking back to the building that was the Guild's headquarters. How after the fall of the Hera and Zeus Familia, this evil organization called Evilus rose to power, giving way to the Dark Age of Orario.

The situation in the city deteriorated incredibly quickly and just four years after gaining power, they launched a massive attack on the city, during which thousands of lives were extinguished, luckily all Familias united to form a large alliance and drive Evilus back.

All of that happened just the year before the two rabbits arrived. In just one year, the city got back up and became more prosperous than ever before, however, it was a bitter memory for everyone. From the way she told the story both rabbits could tell, her Familia also suffered heavily from that event.

Throughout the trip, Lyra was continuously shocked by Astraea's attitude. The bright smiles, giggling and laughs that she shared with the two boys as they talked about themselves. It was rare to see her like this within the Familia, particularly her smiles, but the fact that it was with outsiders and males nonetheless, knowing of her attitude towards them as well as past interactions, completely caused her brain to stop working.

Bell and Nuri then explained where they came from and their current situation, omitting a very important detail. During the telling of their story a few jokes were inserted here and there to lighten the mood. They also talked about the journey they had from their village to Orario, which had many funny moments that the Goddess of justice seemed to be fond of.

It didn't take long before they arrived back at the Guild. Eina was long gone as her shift had ended. A lucky event if you asked the rabbits, since they weren't going to be explaining the situation to her. They deposited Lyra down in the medical bay to get her injuries treated.

"Nuri aren't you going to have that wound looked at?"

"There is no need Astraea-sama and right now we're really trying to save money."

"Nonsense, we'll pay it for you then. You two saved our lives, this much doesn't repay in the least our gratitude."

Nuri sat down next to Lyra's bed as someone tended to the cut on his chest.

"Say, you two adventurers?"

The rabbits nodded at the pink haired pallum's question.

"I see, must be rough to save money. Monsters don't give much at the start. Gotta be real hard. Right what Familia do we owe our lives to?"

The two looked at each other and exchanged a troubled look, which Astraea saw.

"We don't … have a Familia."

Astraea grabbed the older rabbit's shoulders and started shaking him.

"You don't have a Familia?! You're entering the dungeon without a blessing?! You two are far too reckless!"

Even Lyra had no words at the situation presented and could only stare at them.

"Astraea-sama, please calm down."

It took a while to get Astraea to calm down about allowing two poor rabbits to head their death. After that, a doctor came in and explained that Lyra had to stay, since the injuries she received were rather serious.

"Then how is Astraea-sama going to go back?"

"It's fine Lyra-san, we'll make sure to take Astraea-sama back."

The pallum girl turned to Bell's smiling figure and stared for a while. Ultimately she had no choice and sighed in defeat.

"Alright, then I'll see you tomorrow Astraea-sama."

The Goddess nodded and took her leave with two bunnies following behind her. She looked at them and took in their details. Bell had an average height, with bright rubellite eyes and medium length clear white hair. Nuri on the other hand, hadn't removed the cloak and as such couldn't be described other than having a gentle and kind smile. She also occasionally noticed that he shared the same pair of rubellite eyes that Bell had.

Nuri's cloak fluttered, giving the Goddess a chance to sneak a peek at his face. Looking closely at their faces, she now noticed that they looked similar but were quite the opposite. Bell's face was indescribably cute and adorable. On the other hand, Nuri existed on the opposite side of the spectrum, he was stunningly handsome and well-proportioned. Both seemed kind, generous and quite heroic. Truly, a perfect pair of brothers.

The Goddess turned her eyes back to the front and started thinking of every moment with the two ever since she first met the two of them. She had only known them for little less than two hours, but she felt like they provided a sense of safety that only her Familia had provided her with so far. They seemed trustworthy and gentle in nature, they both had similarly cute reactions and couldn't help but see them in a different light compared to other men.

"Umm, Astraea-sama?"

The two rabbits called out her name as the she suddenly stopped walking. She turned to the two with a serious look that confused the pair of brothers.

"Nuri, Bell. You two said that you didn't have a Familia. I say they were fools without eyes, to let two incredible boys like you go. They couldn't see neither the potential nor the kindness you two possessed. As such I wish to extend to you an invitation to join my Familia."

The two stared at her blankly, they understood but their mind was shocked. As soon as they caught up the two jumped slightly back with surprise, the Goddess only looked on, letting out a small giggle.

"Huh?! B-but Astraea-sama, yours is such a powerful and incredible Familia, one that maintains justice and protects the city. Besides, isn't the Familia an only girls Familia?"

The divine beauty nodded with a smile.

"Yes, that is true. It is made of only girls. I am breaking the rule that I myself decided on. Because sometimes rules are there to be broken. I can't always be like this, unchanging for all eternity. We Gods came down to either relief our boredom or to experience the life of a mortal, so I need to learn how to change as well. As such I want to make an exception for you two and start to get used to the opposite sex. Maybe one day I'll open the Familia to males as well. But the main reason that I want you two is because of who you are.

Gentle and strong, who will save others not out of greed but out of the kindness from your heart. As of now, I wish to have you enter as secret members of my Familia, no one other than me would know. Maybe Alise since she's the captain.

Then one day when I feel like you are ready, I'll have you officially enter my Familia. Right now, being aligned with me means that I'll expose you to danger. Once you're strong enough, I won't have to hide you anymore. I know that it's kind of selfish of me, but I hope you'll accept."

Nuri smiled having heard the words that he was searching for from the God that would take them as part of their Familia. Bell was ready to cry, having finally found a Familia after painstakingly searching without success.

""We'll gladly accept Astraea-sama, you're our Goddess and from now we are your Familia members and only yours. From now we will be the shields that protects you, the sword that will bring justice and the wings that will carry you forward.""

Astraea was slightly surprised by the oath they took but smiled brightly hearing it, happy that she made the right choice and that they'd stay by her side from now. The rabbits followed the Goddess as she brought them to Stardust Garden, the Familia home of the Astraea Familia.

The manor was an impressive building. It was definitely smaller than Folkvangr and the Twilight Manor, who housed over a hundred adventurers, but it wasn't any less breath taking. It was two stories high, made of purplish, dark blue iceamethyst and ornamented with pure gold.

The terrain around the manor, within the gates, was all used to make a huge garden, filled with a majority of blue and purple flowers and scattered amongst them were white and red flowers reminding the two of the night sky. Stepping into the Stardust Garden was truly like stepping into a completely new world, severed from Orario and the rest of Gekai.

"Thanks for protecting me on the way back. Are you sure you don't want to stay, right now, there is no one. All members other than Lyra are down in the dungeon."

The two simply shook their head.

"It's fine, Astraea-sama doesn't need to worry. You said that you'll provide us a place tomorrow. We'll eagerly wait for tomorrow."

"Alright, then meet me here tomorrow at seven."

The two of them nodded and waved goodbye to the Goddess as they returned to their inn.

.

The following morning, Bell and Nuri woke up with more energy than ever before. They quickly ate breakfast and cleaned up before dashing out the door with speed that shocked the inn keeper and every other patron that was present to witness the moment.

They soon found themselves in front of the Stardust Garden, already waiting for them in front of the gate was Astraea, who greeted them with a smile. The two waved at the Goddess and approached her, unable to contain their smiles from the excitement.

"Good morning Astraea-sama."

"Good morning you two. Are you that excited that you can't hide those beautiful smiles of yours."

"Hehe, that's right Astraea-sama."

"Let's go and get you settled, we should also go meet Lyra at the Guild."

The two nodded and followed Astraea away from the manor and into the city. They watched as the city began to come alive, people went to work, shops and markets opened up and the children met up to go play. The city was still affected by the major attack of Evilus that happened the year prior, but they were starting to recover and the atmosphere in the city seemed to be serene.

Bell and Nuri noted that Astraea was very popular and loved by the city. Her Familia had gained a lot of reputation for their hard work and protecting the city and everyone would greet her with smiles. The peaceful scene was something Astraea would watch over with her own smile and shield it with her Familia.

"Nuri, Bell. If I recommended you and retold the events that happened last night, I'm sure I could get you into a better Familia like the Loki Fam-"

"Astraea-sama, we already swore to be the ones to bring justice in your name and protect it. Besides, there is no better Familia than the one that fights to maintain this peace."

Astraea looked at Nuri with a smile, hearing his words. Bell then spoke the next words from his heart as watched the sight of the people leisurely going about with their lives.

"We'd be happy and proud to be part of your Familia. You're even going as far as to break the rules for us. As we told you, our goal is to become heroes, to save and protect people, and no one in the city is a better example than the Astraea Familia. This Familia portrays all our aspirations."

"I agree with Bell."

"Thank you for sticking with me. I'm really glad."

With this lingering doubt out of her head, she brought them to a two stories high building, around an hour and a half away from the Guild. It was made out of white quartzite with and brown oak wood, the same colour of the Goddess' hair.

"I proudly present to you my old Familia house, before we grew into an S rank Familia, back when I only had three members."

"Only three?"

"Yes, the number hasn't risen a lot but at the start we were in three. Alise, Kaguya and Lyra. You'll meet Alise and Kaguya eventually since they're the captain and vice-captain of my Familia."

"How many members do you have now?"

"Twelve. Incomparable against the hundreds of members of the Loki, Ganesha, Osiris, Apollo and Freya Familia. There used to be more, but … they died when Evilus attacked."

"I'm sorry Astraea-sama. Umm … how many S rank Familias are there?"

This successfully changed the topic as the sad smile on her face disappeared.

"Other than the ones I just mentioned there are the Olorun, Beaivi, Xucau, Tupa, Shiva and Nyame. There are many strong Familias but strictly speaking of S rank these are it."

"Umm, what about Odin, Ra, Yuanshi Tianzun, Shangdi, Bixia, Dianmu, Ryujin, Izanagi, Izanami, Ebisu, Fujin, Hachiman, Seokga, Mireuk Sang-je and Dangun. I heard these were all powerful Familias."

"They are but do not reside in Orario or have moved away. Odin went north, Ra went to the Kaios Desert, while the others are all split between three nations in the East. The Far East, now named Yamato, the Zhou Empire and the Yi Kingdom. They are the three major powers in the east and each has combat power superior to Rakia and Altena, comparable only to few Kingdoms and Empires in the centre and in the west of Gekai."

"What about the south and north?"

"The north only has the Kingdom of Asgard, founded by Odin, as super power, the rest are small nations. Other than that you can find Dragon Valley, Dedine where the Black Desert is found and the Abandoned World, once the biggest nation ever, destroyed in a single night and now infested with monsters."

As Astraea mentioned the Abandoned World, she noticed Nuri's frown. Perhaps he knew something, but it looked like a painful memory so she decided to let it be and continued explaining and pretended that she didn't see it.

"To the South there are lots nations. Other than Telskyura and the Empire, all of them are revolved around the Kaios Desert. Israfan, Warusa and Shalzard are situated around the Kaios Desert. The Empire is as strong as Rakia and Altena, Telskyura though I'd say is far stronger than the Empire, which is why they don't dare invade them, I mean the co-captains of the Kali Familia are level six after all."

Astraea unlocked the gate and entered the property.

"Let's stop standing out here, let's head in and talk inside. I also need to give you my blessing don't I?"

"How long has it been since you came here Kami-sama?"

She placed a finger on her lips and thought about it but couldn't come up with an answer.

"I am not sure, perhaps ten years?"

Astraea went to the old wooden door and unlocked it. As it opened and dust flew out everywhere. The three coughed as the dust filled their lungs. As Nuri was waving around his hand to shoo off the dust, his cloak happened to fall off. Astraea's attention was completely captured by Nuri, as she still hadn't seen his face properly.

Nuri, who was nearly a head taller than Bell, was definitely as handsome as she thought. Like Bell he had the bright rubellite red eyes and snow white hair, but now she could see how they were much, much longer.

Nuri's hair was kept tied back in a high ponytail, a bang fell down on each side of his face, though his left side was longer and larger than the right side, covering a little the upper part of his eye. The hair despite it being tied in a high ponytail came down to his knees. The left side, which was longer than the right, also had a small braid hanging down, tied at the end with a red band.

(A/N: For reference look at Michikatsu Tsugikuni for hairstyle, except Nuri doesn't have his hair making a weird v-shaped crest above his forehead before coming down. It falls down like a normal person. The other differences being that it's not spikey and more fluffy.)

She then noticed how both brothers seemed to have clear white hair that it almost appeared to glow, but what entranced her was how soft and fluffy their hair looked. It was very inviting but as their Goddess she held back … she would probably get a chance in the future anyways.

With that out of the way, they entered the building. It's conditions were quite well preserved and despite the wave of dust, the insides weren't particularly dirty. As such, cleaning it shouldn't take too long for the two boys.

"Kami-sama, please sit here, we'll clean the place."

She nodded and started reminiscing of the old memories she had of the building while the other two got to work. The images of Alise and Kaguya fighting, the smiles and laughter they shared, the arrival of the new members. She smiled fondly and without realizing time passed by.

.

"We're done cleaning the house."

The Goddess blinked twice before looking around and realising that the building had turned spotless and bright, completely unlike what it was before. The floor and windows were sparkling and no trace of the dust was left.

"Thank you for cleaning this place. Come here you two, I'll give you your falna."

Astraea looked at Bell who was closest, the excitement in his eyes was evident. Without being able to hide her smile she picked a pin and started giving them a falna having removed their shirts. Bell laid down and Astraea let the drop of ichor, the Godly blood, landed on his back. She watched as her blessing manifested and Familia emblem appeared on Bell's back Bell in the form of a staff surrounded by a pair of wings.

Astraea looked with disbelief at Bell's status, before motioning Nuri to come get his. Like Bell, Nuri removed his shirt and laid down so that she could give him her blessing. As she was done she took a quick peak and her jaw dropped. Being even crazier than Bell's she couldn't hold it anymore.

"What?!"

The Goddess shouted without realising. The two rabbits clasped their ears as they turned to Astraea.

"Is something wrong with my falna, Kami-sama?"

Astraea didn't respond instead she took a piece of paper and transcribed the status before looking over it again alongside that of Bell.

Astraea just kept looking at the piece of paper before turning to the two bunnies.

"Have you been in other Familias previously?"

Nuri tilted his head as he thought.

"Well, yes, but not exactly."

Astraea looked at him perplexed.

"I have been in three different Familias prior to this one, Bell has been in two. We didn't receive their falna permanently. It was so that we would be considered an official member and be marked by them since they deeply cared for us. It was more like of a tradition to show that we were related to them but we weren't of age to carry their falna yet. They told us to wait until we got to Orario, when our adventure starts, that's when we should properly receive one, that's what they told us."

Astraea nodded, she didn't understand fully but wasn't going to pry into it too deeply. Then Nuri together with Bell suddenly hugged the Goddess of Justice. She could feel their arms around her back as they drew her in.

"Eh?"

She was surprised by their sudden action, not used to this kind of affection, mostly as she was renowned to avoid men, so none would be as brave as to dare. Looking down at the two she saw that both faces were adorned with a big and kind smile, though Bell also looked like he was on the verge of tears.

This warmed her heart who simply patted their heads while hugging them back. Then their status' came back to her mind and whispered to them to keep it strictly confidential. The danger that would present if leaked, would be enormous.

"By the way Astraea-sama, I was wondering if you could let us go to Preblica."

The indigo eyed Goddess turned to him.

"Why is that Nuri?"

"We were supposed to go there once me and Bell find a Familia. My previous God said that he had something to give to the two of us when the time comes. For that Bell needs to come as well."

Bell looked at him perplexed, his head cocking to the side as he wasn't aware of this.

"Do you know where Preblica is?"

Nuri though shook his head at Astraea's question.

"That won't do, but don't worry, I'll take you there. I've been there long ago. Wait for me here, we're leaving as soon as I get back."

The following hour Astraea had prepared the papers needed to leave Orario, all of which was possible to do so rapidly thanks to the special privileges that she had access to, thanks to her contributions. With all preparations done, they left Orario just before the nine and headed for Preblica.

While they were travelling on the carriage to Preblica, Astraea asked the two rabbits to show her their current weapons. Both Bell and Nuri took out their daggers and showed it to her. The Goddess took them and exanimated, though there really wasn't anything of interesting and any untrained could tell that they weren't anything special or well made.

"You two really need to get better equipment."

"Yes, we do."

Then Nuri surprised the two other members as he grabbed them and tossed them out on the green plain that the carriage was traversing. Astraea stared deadpanned at Nuri before letting out a sigh and giving up on figuring out what Nuri was thinking. Bell looked at Nuri demanding an explanation,

"leave them be. Trust me, we won't be needing those anymore."

And so as their wagon kept moving on the narrow road that led to their destination, the two simple blades were abandoned and forgotten on the grassy plains, lost never to be found again.

.

It only took an hour for the group of three to arrive at the town of Preblica. The town was vastly different from Orario, but similar to the labyrinth city, it had a wall surrounding it and similarly to Orario, the streets were bustling with people of all races. On the other hand, the streets weren't paved with stones, the buildings were older and were mostly of wood.

Astraea led the two adventurers through the town towards the center of the town where a large fountain was located. At the extremities of the plaza were many vendors selling different products. Bell and Nuri kept following Astraea, though as they kept moving, they noticed that many eyes were focused on them. The two adventurers kept following the Goddess, taking turns left and right until Astraea stopped. She came to a stop before the fountain.

"So, my little rabbits? What are we looking for?"

Wondered the Goddess, as she spun around to look at Nuri.

"An old, abandoned building."

Nuri started going through a pouch that he had at his side, before pulling out a small map.

"Let's go."

The two let Nuri lead as followed the map to a large house. It had been clearly abandoned for more than a decade, moss and other vegetation covered the walls, roots went through the floors, there were holes in the stone walls and the roof had long caved in.

Nuri stopped at the main entrance and pulled out a key. From behind Astraea and Bell could only look with curiosity and questions filling their heads. Nuri inserted the key and unlocked the oak door, pushing it open. The insides of the house wasn't any better looking than the outside.

Bell and Astraea looked around while Nuri walked forward, stopping as he heard the sound of wood squeaking under his weight. He looked down and could feel the difference in the flooring where he stood.

"Found it."

The Goddess and the bunny turned to Nuri as he moved back a little. He raised his foot before bringing it down and smashing the flooring. Unprepared the other two were surprised and jumped back. Dust flew everywhere but as it dispersed everyone could see the stairway that lead downwards, previously hidden by the wood planks.

Following Nuri, the three of them went down the stone steps, leading them into a narrow stone corridor. It felt like they were exploring an ancient ruin. The ceiling was just barely high enough for Nuri to walk in, enough for only one person to fit at the same time. Moss decorated the walls, plants grew on the floor and there was no light source.

They slowly walked forwards following them seemingly endless corridor. Taking small cautious steps as they couldn't see anything. They kept moving forwards and forwards, until they reached a stone wall blocking their path. A dead end. Or so it seemed.

"Only one who truly risks their life may be called a hero."

Astraea and Bell who were behind him were confused by the line, until the wall glowed with a white light. The stones started moving to the side, stone by stone, the wall disappeared giving way to a room. The room revealed by the wall was a circular room with a dome as a ceiling. Like the whole place beforehand it was made with stones and moss had invaded the place. Only three rays of light entered the room, each one shining on one of the three pedestals in the center of the room.

"Long live the Zeus and Hera Familia."

Astraea was shocked by the words and turned to Nuri, who was staring up. She followed his gaze and her eyes opened in shock. Imprinted into the stones of the dome were the Familia symbols of the Zeus and Hera Familia.

"I hope you can keep this a secret Astraea-sama."

"… I …. I-I will."

It didn't take anything to understand Nuri's and Bell's origin.

"You two really know how to surprise people."

"It's not over Astraea-sama. If you wish us to stick by your side, this is just the start."

"It seems like I'll have to prepare my heart for that. Else I might be overwhelmed."

They were then interrupted by Bell, who pointed at the three objects at the center of the room.

"What are those on the pedestals?"

The pedestals were placed in a triangular shape. The first two seemed to have black pouches resting on the surface, while the one behind was covered by a white cloth. Nuri approached the pedestal to the right. Laying on it were two large black pouches. Nuri grabbed the pouches and opened them. Inside each pouch were more than twenty throwing knives and shuriken's combined. The rabbit pulled them out showing them to Astraea and Bell.

Both the knives were made out of a transparent metal. The blue lines that glowed in the dark, incised onto the surface gave the weapons a magical vibe, also being the only indicator to show where the throwables were. The knives were incredibly light, with an incredibly thin thickness, while the shuriken's had five blades, unlike the traditional four bladed stars. Unlike the knives they were thicker, but smaller.

"Those knives are … invisible?"

"Not invisible, it's the metal that is nearly colorless Astraea-sama. So much that they're called ethereal knives and stars."

"Are they reliable weapons?"

"I wouldn't worry about that. The metal used for this is called divine titania, a metal that is as hard as orichalcum and is nearly as impervious to acids as a durandal class weapon. Mixed with a two other elements, this metal turns optically transparent. However, they have a special ability."

The bunny then launched three of the knives, which flew into the wall, sticking into it. Nuri waited a few seconds before both Astraea and Bell noticed that the knives had vanished. Looking back at Nuri, the knives were already back in his hand.

"What?"

"Both the knives and throwing stars will return to the container, unless broken of course."

Astraea and Bell looked with faces full of surprise. Neither of them had ever seen something like that before. Nuri on his side observed the knives, remembering that it was their Grampa that had these made for him and Bell, but unfortunately never got the chance to give it to them. Nuri then grabbed the other pouch and tossed it to Bell.

The younger bunny caught the pouch and tied to his belt like Nuri did before turning his attention to the other pedestal. Removing the cloth covering the pedestal, Nuri and Bell found a pair of blue blades, connected to each other by a long chain, a pair of leather bracers with a strange device on each bracer as well as two pair of white sticks.

"What are these Onii-sama?"

Nuri looked at Bell, who pointed to the devices on the bracers.

"They're knives, they're hidden by the device, but when you pour your mind into it …"

Nuri grabbed one of the bracers, activating the device that sprung forward revealing a long shiny blade. The Goddess and the little bunny were startled initially, but Bell's eyes soon shone with interest and amazement.

"Well since the chain blades would be of no use to you, how about I take it while you can have the two bracers."

Bell nodded enthusiastically and immediately equipped the bracers, hiding them under the armored gauntlets. His eyes then turned to the white sticks. There were two pairs of them. Each pair of white sticks was a set comprised of one with the symbol '招唤' and the other that had the symbol '回复' written on the surface, which accordingly meant to summon and to respond.

"Onii-sama, aren't those the one use teleportation sticks?"

"They are."

The two boys then turned to the Goddess and handed her the sticks with the symbol '招唤' on it.

"What are these?"

"These are magic items from our Familia. They are a one time use item that allows the person with the stick that says '回复' to teleport to the person that holds the other stick of the set. Remember Astraea-sama, these are a one time use, so use them only when you are in danger and no one can help you. When that happens, break the sticks in your hand and we will teleport to you."

The Goddess smiled and nodded.

"Thank you, I'll keep these on me at all times. Is there the chance to recreate these?"

The two bunnies unfortunately shook their head.

"No. Bell and I were taught a little about how to make magic items, but until he gets the mystery developmental ability, there is no way to get or procure more of these. Besides, we weren't fully taught how make them. It'd take a lot of experimenting for that to work."

"I understand."

Nuri turned back to the chain blades. The blades were made out of a mix of blue jadeite and orichalcum, making it incredibly durable, but unlike other blades, it was a little on the heavier side. The blades were short, around thirty celches long but fifteen celches large in height and two celches thick. They had no handguard, and the hilt was covered with a black leather.

Astraea approached Nuri as he was observing the blue blades, looking curiously at the long chain that connected the two blades to each other. The chain was made of a black metal, so dark that it almost seemed as if it was absorbing the light.

"What's with the chain?"

"It's made out of stygian iron. Although I'm not sure, I heard that it is of durandal quality, meaning that the chain should never break."

"How come there are so many strong metals?"

The older rabbit chuckled at the confused face of the Goddess.

"That is because Orario is used to having adamantite and orichalcum, as well as smiths that can give the weapons the durandal ability. Everyone else on the other hand, cannot. They could make orders and have them made in Orario but not everyone likes the idea. So, they search for alternatives, some find these materials, other go as far as develop them. So far, they've been pretty successful."

"Alright. Oh, yes. Nuri? Where did you find this divine titania metal?"

Astraea asked as she cocked her head to the side.

"It's a rare metal found up north in the Abandoned World."

Astraea was surprised by the discovery but her attention soon revolved around the centre pedestal.

"And what is that?"

"That … I don't know."

Nuri and Bell approached the covered object with Astraea close behind. Bell grabbed the sheet covering it and unveiled the object. Under the sheet there wasn't one but three items, three beautiful weapons. The three of them watched with amazement at the three weapons. There was a long katana blade, and a pair of long knives.

The knives possessed a long bright rubellite red blade with white colored patterns, the handles were covered in white fur, probably from the tail of a Tobi-Kadachi. The white patterns on the blade that were engraved on the red blade seemed to emit an electrifying and warm yet chilling feeling of magic. The knives themselves were as long as Bell's forearm, with a curved blade that seemed able to slice through anything.

The red blades shone unnaturally, like polished steel, despite being abandoned there for who knows how many years. No rust, no sign of the blade losing its razor sharp edge. It was the epitome of craftsmanship. A beautiful masterpiece made from the joint collaboration of many Gods and Goddesses of the smith.

(A/N: The blade look like the knives of Legolas)

'A magic weapon … but it looks and feels somewhat different?'

Astraea wondered to herself, having seen many magic swords before due both to her collaboration with Loki Familia and her status as an S rank Familia.

"Alright, it's up to you Bell."

Bell tilted his head in confusion as Nuri suddenly puts him in charge.

"The knives are yours, they are our grandfather's gifts."

The young rabbit felt tears prick at his eyes at the parting gift of his most dearest grandfather but seeing the weapon Bell wondered if there were certain conditions for one to wield it. He closely observed at the blades, the same words engraved onto the cold steel of the knives.

"Crimson flakes?"

"Tis the name of the knives. Now come and pick it up."

Astraea and Nuri took a step back, focusing their eyes on the figure of Bell, who walked forward towards the majestic weapon. Bell looked at his Goddess and brother, who watched him with a smile of encouragement.

Bell took a deep breathe in, nervousness growing within him, and grabbed the handles of the two deadly tools. Weird, was the only thought that circulated Bell's brain as he touched the comfortable feeling of the fluffy handles. Nuri was surprised, he could feel the same electrifying, warm yet chilling feeling emanating from the knives all the way from behind Bell.

For a few fleeting moments, white characters engraved in the divine language of the Gods, appeared on the blade, glowing brightly, shining glamorously before dying down to a soft glow yet remaining active, drawing the symbol of a lightning bolt enveloped in ice and fire on both sides of both blades. His rubellite blades now shone softly just as the Godly characters shone and fluctuated in color between white and silver.

"As I live and breathe, grampa would be really ecstatic and it would also seem like grampa was right."

Bell examined the blades and noticed that they were definitely lighter than their previous Guild issued dagger, stronger, sharper. He turned to the older brother that was Nuri, looking at him curiously, knowing that Nuri knew a lot more and that he could provide him with clearer explanation.

"These blades were made for a future hero Bell. They are alive. Yes, they are living weapons. They choose their master and cannot be wielded by someone who is not worthy or recognized. You Bell, as old grampa had said, are both. Congratulations my dear little brother."

Bell smiled fondly at the knives as the deeper meaning it held for him was brought to the light.

"So these are grampa Zeus' gifts to us?"

"Yes. Once we get back we'll need to get someone to make you a belt to hold the knives."

Bell nodded enthusiastically before turning to the long sheathed tachi. Nuri approached the weapon, letting his hand glide over the dormant weapon, slightly grazing the cool metal with his touch. The sword was a hundred fifty celches in length, a lengthier version of a standard katana.

The sheath was jet black with lines engraved into it, drawing the landscape of mountains covered with cherry trees, clouds and fog covered the bottom of the mountains in the landscape. At the center of the landscape, atop the highest peak was a building that looked like one of the traditional pagodas you'd see in the Eastern countries.

The handguard was slanted and shaped into the form of a spiral decagram. At the base of the handguard tightly surrounding the spacer, the body of a dragon formed a circle formed from a , uniting the head to the tail.

The hilt was black and had the body of two dragons engraved into it on each side, as they intertwined across the length of the hilt, in between the intertwining dragons were words engraved in the language of the Gods. The pommel at the end of the sword was had the shape of a dragon head.

The blade was pure black with runic incisions. Alongside the runes and flat part of the blade, was engraved a perfect design of a dragon running along the whole blade from top to bottom, it was engraved in dark blue much like the runes.

Unlike usual though, just where the handguard and blade connected, was the black head of a Tianlong dragon. The blade came out of its mouth while the top and bottom of mane of the dragon arched outwards, merging directly to the polar opposite inner side of the handguard, extending more on the top side than the bottom due to the slanted shape of the handguard. Followed by the horns that also extended outwards, but without touching the handguard.

Just above the figure of the dragon engraved on the blade, that started from within the mouth of the dragon reaching the tip of the blade, was a groove that went from the nose of the Tianlong to a quarter way down the blade. Unlike the traditional katana that is single bladed, this one had an edge on the other side, from the tip halfway to the handguard.

Nuri went up to the sword and admired the craftsmanship. As if drawn in by a thread, Nuri hovered his hand over the blade. The whole blade seemed to emit magic just like that of Bell, but he felt no chill, no warmth nor did he feel the electrifying feeling that Bell's blade had. No, instead he felt lost. Time was erratic and nonlinear, flying by, slowing down and stopping at moments. It was like stepping into a void, an endless space that was distorted and tore apart.

As he grabbed the and exposed the blade, the runes radiated and shone brightly. As if the magic of the blade came alive an imposing aura was allowed to flow out, the light kept growing stronger, until it was blinding. Then it died down to a small continuous glow like Bell's.

While in his hand the blade seemed alive much like the knives, the black was now mixed with different shades of blue and purple that kept shifting position, white dots populated the length of the blade. It was like looking at the starry sky during a clear night.

The runes, the eyes of the Tianlong head and the dragon engraved on the blade all shone with a dark blue light. The face of a dragon materialized at the base of the hilt, right above the handguard. A white 'I' marking the forehead of the dragon.

Like the blade, the sheathe had also reacted and presented the same changes as the blade, the runes came alive and shone gently, a mixture of colors perpetually changing between shades of dark blues and purples. In the same blue color of the runes, the lines that drew the landscape over the sheath started to glow.

Astraea and Bell stared in awe at the unfolding events that were just as amazing as Bell's knives. The two set of weapons came alive and were going to grow alongside them. Nuri grabbed the sheath and examined it before retreating the blade within the cover of the sheath.

"Nuri, do you know what these weapons are? They certainly are magical but they are completely different from magic swords."

"As you say Astraea-sama, these weapons are unrivalled in potential, unparalleled in beauty and unmatched in power. They were made by the many Gods of smithing, including Hephaestus and Goibniu many others worked together to make these. These were weapons named divine armaments. Originally made to counter the Black Dragon."

Astraea was yet again shocked by the revelations that were now piling up.

"The blades are of durandal quality and many rare and never seen before materials have been used to produce these weapons. Some were divine items donated by the Gods Zeus and Hera. However, the effects of such a heavenly weapon were made clear when neither the captain of the Zeus or Hera Familia could wield the sword. In the end, the sword was unusable and for whatever reason it was left with us, by the decision of Zeus, Hera, Hephaestus and Goibniu, the main architects of this project. Until now the weapons remained unmovable by anyone."

Astraea held her head with a hand, the information she was learning far too much for her to take in all at once.

"What unheard materials were used?"

"As far as I know both weapons used ancient metals like holy sunspark and sacred moondrop. The only difference lays in the core of the weapons. Bell's knives should have been made with magi brightsteel. Mine on the other hand, was made through a core of stellar drakonia."

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Even if you tell me that Astraea-sama, even I don't know much of these ancient materials, you'd have to ask Hephaestus, Goibniu or one of the few Kings of the Gods."

"Wait. Before you said that some divine materials were used, donated to you by Zeus and Hera."

"Yes, three strands of hair from each of them, as well as five drops of their blood, per blade."

"I suppose that is what gives it the ability to become alive?"

"Well, yes in a way, but how exactly it happens only Hephaestus knows."

"I see. Any other surprises or news that I should be aware of?"

"Just one last thing. Me and Bell need to give a drop of our own blood to the weapons then we need to ask you to do the same thing, since we bear your blessing, otherwise it wouldn't grow according to our falna."

The Goddess nodded and complied with the request, for each drop of blood, the engravings seemed to glow stronger.

"Great, so now they are bound to us, right?"

Nuri nodded at the excited Bell, before both turned to the Goddess who grabbed their attention.

"Be careful not to be robbed or tricked out there from now. You two are certain to draw attention and this world is foul and unfair."

"Astraea-sama doesn't need to worry. It convenient because the weapons can't be stolen since the moment they no longer are withing our grasp, the edge dulls and their weight matches the stars. As for tricking … well, our aunt drilled into us a good lesson about that."

"Then I suppose it's all good."

Bell jumped to his feet.

"Let's go home then! We still need to visit Lyra at the Guild."

"True and I am hungry."

"Hehe, alright you two bunnies, back to Orario we go."

"But before that."

Bell and Astraea stopped at the entrance of the large room while Nuri had started spinning his chained blades. As they picked up speed, they started forming blue circles until Nuri launched the blades drawing blue arcs in the sky. The blades were swung around continuously, crashing into the stone walls and destroying the room.

"Nuri?! What are you doing?"

Astraea asked surprised as the room was completely destroyed, the pedestals crushed under the weight of the falling rocks. Only the symbol of the Zeus and Hera Familia remained intact.

"Zeus said that once we retrieved the weapons we were to destroy this place and leave no trace of it being property of the Zeus and Hera Familia."

Astraea then looked at the insignia of the two great Familias and put her hands together, paying her respects before Nuri launched the blades one final time and cracked the insignia straight down the middle. The once great symbol fell to the ground and shattered. Nuri looked at the emblem with pained eyes before tugging at the chain and catching the blade that flew in his hand, turning his back on the room.

"I'm sorry, it must be hard for you."

"It's fine Astraea-sama, me and Bell have you now."

The Goddess of justice smiled brightly as she looked at them fondly.

"Let's go home then."

.

The entourage of three boarded a carriage heading back to Orario. During the journey back Astraea asked many questions, regarding their hobbies and past. She wanted to get closer to the two and the rabbits in response answered her questions.

"Why adventurers? Based on what you're telling me you had many other choices, mostly with those faces of yours."

Nuri couldn't help but blush, but it was nothing compared to Bell who exploded in a mixture of scarlet. Too red and surprised, Bell simply stammered a little, without being able to form a coherent sentence.

"Mou, Astraea-sama. Please don't tease us like that … but answering your question, for me the reasons I decided to become an adventurer were more centered towards the idea of becoming a hero. One whose legend would be remembered, to attain the power to protect the people close to me, the people I care about and love. To bring justice, to save those I promised to save. They are still waiting for me."

Nuri answered as he looked over the horizon. Astraea noticed the distant gaze in Nuri's eyes and drew him in a hug, having a rough idea of who he was talking about.

"I see, well I'll make sure to support you on this path with all I've got. After all, you wish to make them and the old man proud, plus your ideals do align with mine."

Nuri thanked the kind Goddess, before the two turned to Bell. Similarly, Bell had been inspired by the heroes of old. He wanted to become like them, to save people in need, to fight monsters and to overcome unsurmountable odds. Astraea had seen this reason many times before, but she could feel it, unlike others who were too weak, of body or mind, who gave up too easily or soon. These two had a chance to actually change this world and become the heroes they desired.

"I also … want to m-meet g-g-girls in t-the d-d-dungeon!"

Nuri and Astraea stared at bell who was steaming.

'That old man! He corrupted Bell! How could he plant such an idea in Bell's innocent soul!'

Nuri started cursing the old God, while Astraea sighed, reminding herself to kill the God of the sky the next time she met him.

"Bell your secret is safe with us but don't say that again, forget and abandon that thought actually. It'll be good for you and for your brother, lest you want to see him hunt down your old man. However, I picked up a really amusing pair, have I not?"

She watched as they simply resorted to smile at her. The journey continued, Bell and Astraea had fallen asleep. Meanwhile, Nuri sat silently looking out at the horizon, either that or the sky when night had fallen and the stars appeared, a habit he had developed when he was tore away from reality and immersed in his thoughts. There was only one question circling his mind, to which he wanted to have an answer but alas, he didn't.

'Grampa, where are you now?'

He could only fathom to understand.

'Why did you leave so abruptly? I wonder if auntie and uncle have found a cure. Heh, she'd probably hit me for calling her auntie. Haaa, I wonder where all of you are, I really miss you, Bell misses you. I wonder where my other Goddesses is at. All those years of training and exploring.

I promise I'll fulfill your wishes. I'll keep Bell safe, we'll become heroes and we'll save you all, so don't disappear before we meet you all again. I'll complete what we failed five years ago. I'll break your accursed fate and I'll go to hell and back if need be. I ask that you just give me time.'

Nuri could only wonder what the future had in serve for him, so he silently prayed.

.

It only took an hour for the three of them to arrive back in Orario.

"Alright, let's go eat lunch, then we'll go find Lyra."

The two nodded and let the expert of the city guide them to a good restaurant.

"I only thought about it now, but I need to come up with a fun little nickname for you two. Little rabbits? Little bunnies?"

"Please don't Astraea-sama."

The fair beauty giggled to herself and proceeded to search for a good establishment. Thanks to the guidance of the Goddess, they soon found a restaurant, popular yet not full. The food was tasty and the waiters quite the courteous ones. The three enjoyed themselves, whilst drawing the attention and stares of many.

"Is that Kami Astraea?"

"Yea, but who are the boys?"

"I don't know, but she seems close to them. It's weird cause I heard that the Goddess hates men. Due to that her Familia should be only girls. Did she decide to lift that rule and recruit male members?"

"No way man. I heard that recently Evilus tried to attack her and those two saved her. Probably repaying a favour."

The murmurs, mumbles and speculative discussions continued. Subtle to wild theories were formed and spread. Astraea happily hummed to herself as she stuffed her food in her mouth, simply pretending to no not hear any of them despite being clearly aware of the rumors spreading.

"Astraea-sama-"

"It's fine Bell, to be fair, albeit secretly, it is true that you two are members of my Familia. I don't care what they say, you two are my dear children, that won't change. If anyone asks, you're my saviors and I'm simply temporarily showing you around since you're new to the city."

"Thank you Kami-sama."

"Since we're done here, how about we go visit Lyra?"

Two white haired heads nodded at the Goddess and followed her out of the restaurant. They followed the main street which led straight to the Guild, which as usual, it was full of adventurers. As if letting passage to a King, ironic since she was a Goddess, a higher being than a King, the adventurers moved away to allow Astraea to pass.

Thanks to the easy path they soon reached the medical bay, where Lyra was laid down resting. Seeing the Goddess of justice approach her, the pallum stood up from the bed and greeted the divine being. Astraea gently placed her hands on the girl's shoulders and sat her back down.

"Rest Lyra, you won't make a full recovery otherwise."

"Thanks Kami Astraea. Seeing that you have a reliable escort I won't have to worry about you being in danger then."

The two rabbits nodded,

"we'll make sure she's safe until you recovered."

Astraea looked at the rabbits then back at Lyra, a curious yet somewhat wary look occupied her eyes.

"Hmm … Lyra. I want you to keep this a secret from the rest of the girls."

Lyra looked at her Goddess with a tilt of her head, unsure what she was going to tell her. The rabbits on the other hand, were surprised.

"Astraea-sama I tho-"

"It's fine, I'll tell Alise and Kaguya as well once they gets back. Lyra, other than you, Kaguya and Alise, no one is to know, you understand?"

The pallum nodded and stared readily at Astraea.

"Nuri and Bell here will now be your fellow brother in arms, since they have joined the Familia."

Lyra nodded listlessly, the shock too great to fully comprehend what the Goddess said. After a while, Lyra computed the information and looked at Astraea shocked. She personally liked the two boys and was grateful to them for saving them, Astraea was certainly rather close with them, but she still hadn't expected such an explosive bombshell of an outcome to be the ending result.

"What? Are you serious?"

"Yes, are you against it?"

"What? No, of course not. I'm actually glad they are, it's just … I didn't expect you to allow them in so easily. Though I'm not going to comment on it, it was a good and wise choice."

"Yes, it certainly was."

Lyra tilted her head yet again, feeling as if there was a lack of information that she should be aware of.

"It's got to do with their background and skills. Sorry, but I can't tell you too much, everyone has their own secrets and both Nuri and Bell wish to keep it hidden for now. I'll only tell you that their status, despite being level one, is very impressive."

Lyra raised an eyebrow at the vague explanation that left plenty of questions floating about in her head.

"Astraea-sama? Since there is still plenty of time can me and onii-sama go to the dungeon?"

"Yes sure, I'll stay here with Lyra. Oh and just call me Astraea, you don't have to bother with the honorifics."

"I-I can't do that Astraea-sama. You're a Goddess."

"Haa, alright, you may go. Oh, also for now it'd be better if you concealed your weapons from other people."

The two nodded and after saying goodbye to Lyra and Astraea, they left the Guild. As the two left Lyra turned to her Goddess once again.

"What's with those weapons? They didn't have them before."

"Those umm … it's a long story. As for what they are, I'm afraid that's another secret."

Lyra pouted at her Goddess, who only pat her head with a giggle in response.

.

Before leaving the Guild, the rabbit duo passed by the reception area where they spotted Eina speaking to a blue haired girl. Nuri and Bell decided to tell Eina about the good news before entering the dungeon, lest they want another lesson handed down to them personally by Eina.

Upon seeing them the half elf called out to them. The two arrived at the desk and saw that the blue haired girl was actually Ardee, the two girls stared at Nuri for a while since it was their first time seeing his uncovered face.

"Ardee, didn't think you'd be here. It's been a while."

Ardee looked at them with a small pout.

"Heh? What's the matter?"

Ardee then pinched Nuri's cheeks and pulled them.

"don't 'It's been a while' me, I was actually worried you know? I came here to see if anyone knew about you and the first thing I hear is that you two went into the dungeon without a falna. When I asked the Guild told me that you haven't found a Familia and you're going into the dungeon? It's an unwritten rule everyone knows."

Nuri grabbed Ardee's hands forcing them to loosen the grip that they had on his cheeks.

"Sorry Ardee, but why are you so invested in our Familia situation?"

She gave him pout and looked away.

"When I offered to help you find a Familia I actually expected for you to come to me so that I could be useful to you. Hmph."

She kept her pout, while Nuri and Bell scratched their cheeks looking at her with a sheepish smile.

"Sorry Ardee but we found ourselves in a Familia before we knew it."

Ardee finally relented.

"Fine, but you owe me a date."

Nuri blushed slightly while Ardee giggled.

"Remember it's a promise, okay? Come visit me when you have settled down and have some free time."

With that she waved before leaving with a smile.

"I didn't know you were friends with Ardee, she's a ve- wait! Did you just say you found a Familia?!"

"Ah right, Eina, we were just going to tell you that we did indeed find a Familia."

"Oh? That's good. Who is it? Loki? Dionysus? Hermes? Salacia? Adonis? Atunis? Hypnos or Hecate?"

She suddenly inhaled deeply, with a shocked look.

"Don't tell me Ishtar or Freya?"

"Eina, calm down, but as of right now we can't really tell you. We have entered as secret members of the Familia. We'd have to ask our God about it."

"Hmm, I see. It isn't strictly against the rules to withhold the information of your Familia to the Guild, so I guess it's fine."

Nuri and Bell then proceeded to explain to Eina how they first met Ardee. After which the two spent a few minutes convincing Eina to allow them access to the third floor before heading home and dropping off all the equipment other than their armour, Nuri's tachi and Bell's knives.

Without anything to do, they headed straight into the dungeon. Even so they hadn't managed to run away from Eina who still berated them for entering the dungeon without a blessing before they left the Guild.

.

As time proceeded, the two reached the third floor, where Nuri observed Bell as he slayed the coming monsters. At a certain point Bell threw both knives, intercepting a pair of monsters heading towards Nuri, after which he instinctively extended his arms. As soon as he did the knives came flying back into his hands, much to the surprise of the two adventurers. Deciding to try it again Bell threw the knives again and willed it to comeback.

Without the same instinctive feeling he had before, Bell got scared and ducked, the knives kept flying towards Nuri who dodged last second. Seeing this Bell jumped into a dogeza and started apologizing as the knives struck a hair's width away from atop Nuri's head.

"Bell … just be careful from now."

After having gotten used to the new ability Bell started incorporating it into his fighting style whilst using the monsters as practice. They had gotten used to their new weapons and by the end of an hour, they easily cleaved through the enemy monsters.

It took a few hours for the two to decide that they had done enough for a day before starting to collect the magic stones from the carcasses of the dead monsters. The two returned to the surface and having cashed in their loot, they headed to their new home. On their way back they passed by a restaurant and had dinner, during which Nuri thought about getting another weapon for him and Bell.

Astraea had told them that it'd be better if they hid the weapons from scrutinizing eyes of the public, which she was right, moreover, he didn't want to end up reliant on the weapon alone as it could result in terrific outcomes considering that they are very powerful weapons, unlike any other. As such he'd have to search for another weapon or have them built.

At the same time, at the highest point of Orario, at the top of the tower of Babel, sat a Goddess. She was bored and tired of searching for her fated partner. She had come down from Tenkai long ago in search of the person who would catch her attention.

She was once eager to seek out said fated partner, experiencing new feelings, but now it all seemed bleak. Like in Tenkai everything seemed near perfect for the Goddess, who in the process of her search had taken and obtained everything she wanted, to the exception of what she truly wanted.

Then Freya suddenly stood, startling a little even the mighty boaz. In that moment that her sight passed by the bottom of the tower in which she resided, she saw them. What she sought to obtain the most in her endless life. Nuri and Bell were leaving the dungeon just as Freya happened to look.

Freya focused on them spying on them from the distance of the tall tower of Babel. Her face was filled with ecstasy, lust and curiosity as she bore into their souls. Her divine eye, a natural ability of Freya. With it she could look at the form and colour of the soul.

'Ah, such unique and beautiful souls.'

One of the souls was half white with the other half being nearly colourless in colour. Completely pure and devoid of corruption or hatred. It brightly shone in the eyes of the Goddess. The other was just as unique to the Goddess, it shone just as bright but in a myriad of different vibrant blue and purple colours, however it was contaminated by a dark speck at the centre, a lingering doubt or worry.

The thought of fixing it surged but she'd do that later, for now the pure white and deep blue seemed to be particularly potent, capturing the eyes of Freya, who drowned in the beauty of the souls. Though by the brightness and size it seemed more like staring at a pair of stars to Freya. The two souls were nearly blinding, the Goddess couldn't resist such temptations, her mind being filled with wild thoughts.

She'd claim them, no matter what. Seeing them leave the dungeon though meant they had a Familia, which she didn't take particularly well. She was tempted to have the boaz towering over her go capture them, but there were quite a few strong Familias and the risk that it would incur was too great. For now she could do nothing but watch, she'd bide her time and find out whose Familia they belonged to. For now so she kept her attention on the souls as they disappeared.

'How unfair.'
