Time is unknown in the Entity's relm, you would think you have been here for days if not years if you were alone. But the Survivors and Killers trapped in this relm have done away with the notion of trying to tell what the day is as they survive another round of trials that they are forced to do. but while a few of them are doing the trials most of the others are still waiting like lambs to the slaughter.
At the survivors camp about half of the survivors are waiting by the fire, talking and trading stories from their past as normal. The survivors that were in the Trials at the moment are Quinten, Feng, Adam, Cheryl, James, Haddie, Mikaela, Yun-Jin, Élodie, Jill, Sheva, Ada, Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, Tapp, Ace, Laurie, Carlos, and Jeff. Everyone else waited for their return as they were at the campfire watching the burning flames dance like the end of the trial when the gates were opened or the hatch was closed by the killer. But during the trials everyone scavenged everywhere for supplies to make tents for everyone, it was difficult but they managed to grab everything they needed from Mount Ormand, Haddonfield, Racoon City Police Station, Springwood and Gideon Meat Packing Plant.
Rebecca Chambers was sitting alone at the moment watching the fire as she thought about their situation. Being taken by the entity 4 months ago was a lot to take in but when she saw Chris and Jill at the campfire when she arrived after escaping Wesker with Ada and Meg she was glad to have people she looked up to and respected here that she knew to help her get accustomed to this odd world. Her first few trials were a complete shit shows like everyones are, trying to get accustomed to fixing generators and running from the killer when they are on your ass. She had more trouble against the more non-human Killers instead of the more human Killers since she has never seen anything like them before.
The Nemesis and Wesker were one's she could deal with because of past experiences dealing with Umbrella's creatures like them, along with the information given to her by Jill, Chris, Sheva, Carlos, Leon and Ada. They may have been taken at different points in time but the memory's of fighting them came to them when Wesker showed up. As she looked around the fire she watched as everyone else talked to each other or played cards that Ace found in a trial at Haddonfield, using the items they had from the "Bloodweb" to bet with. Rebecca was told that the Entity gave them the bloodweb to get items for the trials like Med-kits, Flashlights, toolboxes, Ect. Using blood points to purchase them after each trial they completed, whether they escaped or got killed they were given Blood points or BP for simplicity.
As Rebecca looked around, she saw Kate playing on her guitar and singing one of her songs along with Claire, Claudette, and Nea with David humming along with them as he had his arm over Kate's shoulder. Chris was talking with Leon and Cybil about some tactics they could use to better trick the Killers. Yoichi, Jonah, Felix, Zarina, Jake, Dwight, Ash and Yui were playing cards to try and get a Anti-Hemorrhagic Syringe Dwight got from the bloodweb along with other items they acquired. Jane and Lisa were gossiping about their jobs they had back in the real world just to make light conversation to pass the time. Rebecca took a deep breath as she saw someone sit next to her, she turned to her left and saw that it was Bill, one of the older survivors smoking a cigarette like normal.
"You look like something is on your mind kid, what's wrong?" Bill asked as he blew smoke out into the fire as he looked at her, Bill was a Vietnam vet and took shit from no body but when you needed someone to talk to he was the best to do that with.
"Its nothing Bill, just thinking is all." Rebecca said as she leaned back against the log.
"I may be old kid, but im not blind yet." Bill said as he took another drag of his cigarette and flicked the ash into the fire. "I can tell something is on your mind."
Rebecca smiled and shook her head as she knew he was right. "I still can't get over the fact that we are here, one minute I was on a mission fighting against zombies and trying to find my team and the next im running around the RPD station trying to escape my former leader and role model." She said thinking back to when Wesker trained her when she joined S.T.A.R.S.
Bill chuckled a bit as he remembered feeling the same way when he got here. "Trust me Rebecca I know the feeling, hell alot of us know the damn feeling all too well." Bill said as he finished his cigarette and threw it into the fire. "One minute im killing hordes of infected while restarting a generator trying to keep my group alive on a bridge, the next minute after getting crushed I'm here running from a tall son of a bitch with a bootleg machete and bear traps."
"Good point." Rebecca said giving a half hearted giggle at Bill describing the Trapper. He may have been rough around the edges but Bill always gave the best advice when it comes to dealing with personal problems.
"But we all have each other kid, even though the young bucks get on my last God damn nerves." Bill said thinking about Steve and Jonathan butting heads with him, mainly Steve. Rebecca laughed a bit since she has seen Steve argue with Bill and a few others a few times.
"You know you love him Bill, just like the rest of us." Rebecca said teasing Bill, making him smirk as he shook his head. To Rebecca and the others Bill was like the dad of the group, keeping everyone in line and talking to them when they have issues. She then noticed that Meg wasn't around at the moment. "Bill you know where Meg is?"
"She's out on a run like usual, I tell ya she has the lungs and energy of a cheetah." Bill said as he pulled out another cigarette and his lighter as he lit his cigarette and took a drag of it. Bill was protective of everyone in the group, especially Meg and Rebecca since they both reminded him so much of Zoey. Young, full of hope and didn't take shit from anyone, not even the Killers. Even though Meg was here before Bill, she looked up to him and asked him for advice more then anyone else since she looked up to him as a father.
"I swear she goes running almost everyday when she isn't in a trial." Rebecca said as she watches Bill light another cigarette, her medical and caring side kicking in. "You should probably slow down on those Bill."
"Yea I know kid, but I've been doing this for a long time so it's abit hard to stop." Bill said as he placed his cigarette in his mouth and took a drag. "Plus it won't kill me yet."
Rebecca giggled at his response since she knew he was right, he would rather die to Pinhead then give up on smoking. But since they found about 30 cartons scattered around the trials, everyone has a smoke every now and then.
"Hey guys." Rebecca and Bill turn their heads to see Meg back from her run, wearing her red leggings, jogging hoodie with her dark red hair pulled back in a ponytail. She walks over to them panting as she sits next to Bill on his left.
"How was the two hour run kiddo?" Bill asked as he took his cigarette and flicked the ash into the fire again, smiling at her as she tried to catch her breath.
"You have to stop timing me dad." Meg said teasing Bill and he laughed a bit. She smiled at him as she undid her ponytail and let her hair fall down to her shoulder blades. "It was good, just trees and fog for what feels like miles."
"I figured that kid, you ain't going to find anything else out there. Other them maybe a random crow." Bill said as he put his left arm around her and hugged her a bit as she returned the hug, the both of them smiling as they watch the fire burn. Rebecca was happy that Meg found someone that was more of a dad to her then her actual dad, she told her and Bill about her family and to say Bill wasn't mad would be an understatement. He was seeing red when Meg told them and he wished he could have beat his ass for leaving Meg and her mom twice.
A sudden rush of wind blew through the camp as everyone looked over to see the first group coming back from the trials. Jeff, Jonathan, Adam and James showed up and they looked like they were beaten to a pulp and missing either their index or pinky fingers. Rebecca and Lisa head over to them and help them to the camp fire so that the Entity can fix them up.
"Let me guess, Clown?" Bill asked as he got up and walked over to the group, coughing a bit as he took a drag of his cigarette. Jonathan rubbed his head as he looked up at the older man.
"Yea, he was not happy to see us at Coldwind Farms and killed us one at a time." Jonathan said as he felt his skull reconstructing and his finger growing back as well as the others. "I hate that fucker."
"We all do Jonathan." Lisa said as she checked Adam to make sure he was healing up properly. "Especially all of the women here hate him more."
"Yea, I swear that sick fuck needs to be dead or castrated." James said as he rubbed his arm from one of the knife wounds he received from the Clown. Jeff and Adam nodded their head in agreement as well as everyone else at the camp.
A few minutes later other groups started to arrive with Nancy, Quinten, Tapp and Yun-Jin coming back from escaping Freddy in Haddonfield, saying that he mainly focused on Quinten but he excelled at running Freddy till the others finished the gens and opened the gate. Next was Steve, Feng, Cheryl, and Laurie coming back from the McMillan Estate from their match with Legion, Steve was more annoyed because he was focused on by Frank more the entire trial and killed him right when the last generator finished. The third group was Carlos, Mikaela, Ada and Haddie coming back from facing Nemesis, the only one that died was Carlos because he sacrificed himself to save Mikaela from her second hook at Autohaven. The last group was Jill, Ace, Sheva, and Élodie coming back after facing The Blight, they all got away only because the fucker got stuck hitting a wall for five minutes in RCPD from his serum.
As everyone started to talk and head over to the campfire to relax, the environment started to change. Instead of the normal woods surrounding them reminiscent of McMillan Estates, it was turning into mountains covered in pine trees with the sky turning a orange color like the sun was either setting or rising. Indicating that they are getting a new trial location and possibly a new survivor along with a new killer.
"Okay this is different, seems like we are getting a new person." Chris said as he stood next to Jill and Claire. Everyone looked around the camp to see if the new person would appear by one of the logs like they all had before. But to their surprise no one new was there yet.
"Isnt he suppose to be here by now? And this place looks familiar to me y'all." Kate said as she looked around trying to pinpoint where this area could be from.
"Looks like the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, I went hiking here with my mom when i was little." Meg said as she looked around the landscape, remembering that time being a good little vacation during the summer. Everyone stayed silent for a few minutes until they heard something off in the distance, they couldnt make it out but it sounded like someone screaming.
"You guys hear that?" Leon asked as he looked around.
"It sounds like someone yelling or screaming." Felix said as he looked around worried.
"But where be it coming from mate?" David asked as he started to get into a defensive stance just incase it was a killer again like when Nemesis showed up looking for Leon and Jill. Everyone was on edge as Rebecca looked up to the sky and her eyes widened seeing something or someone falling.
"Guys up there." She said and pointed to the sky, everyone looked up to see what looked like the silhouette of a person falling from the sky. As they watched they realized that the screaming was coming from them as they were falling for the trees next to the camp. Hearing the sound of branches breaking and cursing indicated that the new survivor was a man.
"Dammit, shit, fuck, cock sucker, bitch, fucking." The man was yelling as he hit multiple pine branches on the way down. " Fuck, this, god, damn" He said as he hit the last few branches and landed on the ground and sat up pointing to the pine tree . "Fuck you tree."
Rebecca ran over to him to see if he was alright, she could see that he was wearing a pair of brown boot, blue jeans, red button up flannel shirt with the sleeves roled half way up his forearms and a grey tee shirt underneath it. He had a brown beard that was trimmed down to be manageable and he had short brown hair that was combed to the left side of his head. She could see that his skin was tanned from being out in the sun a good amount and had a scar over his right eye.
"Are you okay?" Rebecca asked as she stood in front of him worried that he was hurt.
"Yea im fine, just pissed that I hit every branch on the way down." The man said but his eyes widened and looked up to see a car falling down to them as well. "Oh shit get down!" He yelled as he got up and tackled Rebecca out of the way as the car landed where they were at just seconds ago, he was ontop of her to protect her from any debris that might have flown at them. The man moved his head away from Rebecca's and they both looked into eachothers eyes, Rebecca could see that his eyes were a olive green color and the man could see her eyes being a mesmerizing shade of brown as he then asked. "You okay miss?"
"Yea im okay, thank you." Rebecca said as she smiled at him, he smiled back as he got off of her and helped her up off the ground. They both turn around to see everyone else running over to them with worry on their faces.
"Are you both okay?" Jonah asked as he couldnt believe that they both were almost crushed by a car.
"We're fine guys, he saved me and im not hurt." Rebecca said as she gave them a thumbs up and they all took a sigh of relief. She then turned to the new survivor and looked at him as she held her hand out. "Thanks for saving me, im Rebecca Chambers."
The man smiled at her and shook her hand in response. "You are very welcome Rebecca, i'm John Teach." John said as he then let go of her hand and looked at everyone else. "Okay i have questions, where the hell am I?"
After an hour of introductions and explaining the situation to John about the Entity and the trials. He was rubbing his chin taking in all the new information he was given. Everyone thought he would be freaking out about this but he was surprisingly calm all things considering. He paced infront of the campfire for a minute before speaking.
"Okay so the reason why we are here is because a spider like God called the Entity took us to play in a type of survival game where we fix generators and escape while trying to hide and run from a plethora of murderous creatures that are either human or creatures of Supernatural origin correct?" John asked as he was given multiple head nods telling him that he was correct.
"And from what we all know is that there is no way out of this relm and we are stuck here for all eternity until we either go crazy or the Entity eats us like a gum ball." John said, making Rebecca laugh a bit at his response. John smirked as he heard her laugh and took his hand away from his chin. "Not to mention that there are skills that everyone has and only four can be used at a time in each trial with those charms you all have?" John asked pointing to the one that Bill had that was his Borrowed Time skill he had and everyone nodded to him. "Damn, I should have figured this would happen."
"What do you mean John?" Jake asked as he didn't expect the last sentence.
"I heard stories about a creature that abducted people but I didn't think it was real, but considering I lived through falling a few hundred feet in the air and lived I now believe it." John said as he cracked his neck a bit, popping a few bones back into place from the fall. He then turns to Meg, Jake, Claudette and Dwight. "And you four are the leaders of the camp right?"
"Y-yea, we were the first ones here so we ended up being in charge because of experience." Dwight said as he rubbed the back of his head a bit. John smiled at them as he remembered a few people he knew that acted like Dwight.
"Alright, I respect you guys since you went through hell before other people showed up." John said as he then dug into his pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter and lit himself a smoke. "I can already tell I have alot to learn here, so any help I can get from everyone I will gladly need it."
Everyone was glad to have a new person but were a bit shocked that he sounded confident, the others were more confused when they got here except for Felix, Élodie and Haddie since they experienced Supernatural events in the past. Some survivors were reluctant to ask for help at first, mainly Yun-Jin and Steve but after they kept getting killed they finally asked for help.
But before anyone could teach John anything a black fog started to circle him, Bill, Meg and Rebecca. Everyone except for John knew what was happening as they ran to their tents to grab some items and offerings. Bill came back with a utility flashlight and a piece of petrified oak, Meg had a engineers toolbox and a shiny coin and Rebecca had a Ranger med kit and a Shroud of Binding.
"We'll need to teach you when we get back kid, just stick with us and you'll make it." Bill said as he put a long life battery and a odd bulb into his flashlight with Meg getting a brand new part and a wire spool for her toolbox. John started to worry a bit until Rebecca put her hand on his arm.
"Hey don't worry, those two have been through alot. Just stick with us and you'll be okay John." Rebecca said with a smile as she put gel dressings and surgical sutures to put into her med kit. John smiled at her and took a deep breath as he felt the fog go over his body.
"I dont mind a bit of field training." John said as he smirked at Rebecca as they were taken from the fire and put into a trial. Little did they know that this trial would show what John's skills are.
Okay my first Dead by Daylight fanfic, I hope you guys like the first chapter. I plan on starting the second one tonight and getting it out by the end of tomorrow.
