This story was a standalone, posted here over a decade ago. However, since I just finished a prequel to it (A Red Sun Rises), I am currently rewriting all chapters to merge the two stories, with a little bit more emphasis on the minor characters and OCs. She has a locket around her neck, a sword at her side and no idea of who she is, but as she travels inland, discoveries about her past become disturbing. Trying to take her second chance at true love and a new life, she realises that escaping from her history might not be as easy as she had hoped.

Aragorn is crowned and enjoying time with friends and family they prepare for the wedding. Taking a pleasure stroll up the mountain with friends has unfortunate consequences.
