One day, a man is in his early thirties with a chiseled face, pale skin, red eyes and a full head of platinum blonde, near-white hair wearing a chantilly white lab coat with tan jeans and black shoes. His name was embroidered into the lab coat. It read, 'Dr. Kamizono'. Walking alongside him was a girl, who was 14 years old.

She had porcelain white hair tied up in a ponytail that went to the end of her neck. She had a red iris in her left eye and an orange iris in her right eye. The girl was wearing a red jean jacket, a red long sleeve shirt with a pocket, red jeans, red combat boots and a small red hairbow on her ponytail. She also had on a pair of red jingle bell earrings that she claimed were here 'lucky earrings' and she never took them off.

"The equipment is set up Naomi. Are you certain your ready?" Dr. Kamizono queried.

Naomi nodded.

"I'm positive. I've been waiting for this all of my existence." Naomi affirmed.

"I'm sorry about this sweetheart, but I really need you to do this for me." Dr. Kamizono apologized.

"It's fine, really." Naomi assured.

In reality, Naomi was panicking. She had this horrible feeling that something was wrong, or something was going to go horribly awry that day. Naomi was just sitting and talking with her two younger siblings. She was enjoying herself, that was, until Dr. Kamizono told her to go with him. Now that, was a rather uncommon thing for him to say.

When Dr. Kamizono and Naomi got to the room they were greeted by the scenery of several men and women working on monitors. However, there was a 14-year-old boy in the room as well. The boy had red eyes and spiky purple hair, with one white spike. He wears a black Sumeragi uniform with gold, purple and white highlights, gold buttons, a cape, and black shoes with white highlights.

The boy then noticed Dr. Kamizono and walked over to him and Naomi. When Naomi saw the boy come out of the shadows and start approaching her and Dr. Kamizono, Naomi hid behind Dr. Kamizono. The boy then stopped six feet shy of Dr. Kamizono. Naomi did her best to stay hidden. It seems like her best wasn't good enough. Because the toe of her left boot could be easily noticed.

When Dr. Kamizono noticed the boy looking at the tip of Naomi's boot, he ushered Naomi out from behind him. Naomi did her best to avoid eye contact and conversation with the boy, which didn't last for long. After a very awkward 10 seconds the boy brought up the question Naomi was dreading to hear.

"Who are you?" the boy asked.

Naomi kept looking down at her boots. Dr. Kamizono understood why Naomi was nervous and didn't want to answer. So he answered the question for her.

"This is my oldest, her name is Naomi." Dr. Kamizono replied.

"Hello Naomi, my name's Nova." Nova introduced.

Nova then put his hand out sideways. Naomi then backed up a bit.

"What? You've never had a handshake before?" Nova asked.

Naomi shook her head.

"Oh, I see." Nova spoke.

Nova then put his left hand back at his side.

"What are you here for anyways?" Nova asked.

"There's been reports of an Adept who can generate electricity here in Tokyo. Plans have been made to catch and study this mysterious Adept. We're going to use Naomi to track them down." Dr. Kamizono answered.

Naomi suddenly knew why she felt so nervous and worried earlier.

"I'll show her where the machine is." Nova offered.

Naomi gulped and looked at Dr. Kamizono with wide, scared eyes.

"It's okay, I'll be right here if you need anything." Dr. Kamizono promised.

Naomi then walked off, following Nova.

"Well, what do I have to do now?" Naomi asked.

"All you have to do is sit in this machine." Nova replied.

Naomi then got into the machine and sat down. Nova then put some strange looking object on Naomi's head. The object looked like it was ant pincers attached to wires. Nova then put somethings that looked like metal bracelets with wires attached. The last thing Nova put on Naomi was a metal ring around her neck that had wires attached to it as well.

"What's all this for?" Naomi asked.

Nova didn't respond. Nova then walked away. Nova then went up to Dr. Kamizono.

"The machinery is set up sir." Nova confirmed.

"Excellent, initiate the Muse protocol." Dr. Kamizono demanded.

The people at the monitors then started typing. Dr. Kamizono then walked up to the machine Naomi was sitting in.

"Daddy, I'm scared." Naomi worried.

"It'll be alright. And if something happens, -"but Dr. Kamizono couldn't finish his sentence because Naomi started crying.

"What's wrong?" Dr. Kamizono asked.

"I'm really worried something might go wrong. I've been having this feeling something might go wrong all morning." Naomi replied.

"Everything will be fine. Everyone here will make sure of that." Dr. Kamizono affirmed.

Naomi disagreed, but she knew the sooner she got this done, the sooner she could go back to talking with her younger siblings. One of the men at the monitors then spoke.

"We're ready to begin sir." The man declared.

"Excellent. Begin the Muse protocol." Dr. Kamizono ordered.

After the man typed for a bit, he hit the 'enter' key.

"And, we're online." The man verified.
