A/N; This story, I have been working since December-January. I have enough chapters and I hope with the story progression you will enjoy.
Each chapter will be 900-1000 words.

A raven-haired girl is stacking shelves with goods at a grocery store.
She looked at her watch and smiled. It was almost time for her to clock out. Her vacation was about to start soon as she left for the day. She could not wait to leave this dump.
She finishes her tasks and goes to find her supervisor to ask if they need help before leaving for the day.
Thankfully they gave her the cue to go.
Outside waiting was her older sister Kagome. She came to pick Rin up so she wouldn't have to uber.
"Hey Rin, you ready to go?"
"Yes, let's get the hell out of here!" Rin says, pulling Kagome's hand rushing her.
The girls enter the car and make their way to Rin's apartment.
Rin unlocks the door to her apartment, smiling from ear to ear. She turns on the light to the kitchen and immediately goes to wash her hands.
Her sister sits down at a barstool.
"So, Rin, do you have any plans for this mini-vacation you have?"
Rin takes the kettle off the stove and fills it with water, "No, I have not thought about it. I am just so happy to be off of work". She turns the stove on and places the kettle on the stovetop. "We are short-staffed, and they had me working almost to my death. I just needed some time away."
Kagome fiddles with her hand and looks as if she is in thought. "What is the matter with you?" Rin asks.
Kagome giggled, "Well." A hint of pink on her cheeks. "You know I have been seeing someone, right?"
"Yes, spit out," Rin says as she reaches for cups to put tea bags in them.
"Well, it is getting pretty serious. He has invited me to some sort of private event. Only big-time names are allowed to enter".
Rin was confused, "Okay, are you thinking about not going or something," she asked questionably.
Rin hands a cup of tea to her sister. Kagome blows at it. "I am going to go… I just don't want to feel out of place". She bites her bottom lip. "So, I was wondering….".
Rin cuts her off, "you were wondering if I would attend this event with you."
"Right exactly!" Kagome squeals.
"OMG, Kagome, are you that helpless? The man will probably have you wrapped around him the whole time. There is no need for me to attend."
Rin lifts herself onto her kitchen island. She folds her arms and glares at her sister.
Kagome has her fingers clasped together, begging Rin. "Please, Rin! I highly doubt he will pay me much attention. He has to make rounds with important people. What makes it even worse, his parents are going to be there. I am too afraid."
Kagome had already met her boyfriend's parents, but she still wanted her sister to attend. She thought Rin never really goes out. So, how bad would it be to spend one day of her mini-vacation at an upscale event?
Rin lets out a deep breath and closes her eyes. "Okay, Kagome." Kagome jumps out of her seat to hug her sister, but she is too high up. So she ends up hugging her waist.
"I promise, I will make this up to you. You will be my plus one, and I asked Inuyasha already. He has you approved for entry."
With her eyebrow raised, Rin says. "Really? Kagome. You just knew I was going to say yes, huh."
Kagome moves a finger to her mouth and twirls around. "Maybe," she giggles.
The two women walk into Rin's tiny living room space and sit on the couch.
"Since this is a private event, your whole attire will be provided. I will have it delivered to me, and then we will set up shop at my place."
"Jeez, these people sound like they're loaded," Rin says.
"I may have forgotten to mention something. The guy I have been dating, his name is Inuyasha Taisho."
Rin almost spit her drink out, "Taisho! You mean the demon family that owns the western part of Japan?"
Kagome nods and shrugs.
"You snagged a good one," Rin giggles.
"Possibly!" Kagome laughs.
Kagome informs Rin that the event is in two days, so she can relax until then. She had a week and a half off for her vacation, so it wouldn't interrupt anything else she had planned.
Which was nothing.
The two women continued their night by watching a movie together.
Kagome leaves soon after the movie ends.
"I will text you when I am home," Kagome says, hugging her sister.
As Rin lays down for the night, she thinks about her conversation with Kagome.
She couldn't believe her sister was dating a Taisho and then invited her to one of their private party events.
She had to look her best.
She had to look like something.
They would know immediately she was a peasant if she didn't have the proper attire. Good thing Kagome had it handled, or that would have been a failure. She could see herself posted on the blogs the next day as the worst dressed.
She covered her face and shook her head. She laughs nervously at the thought of something like that happening.
She thought this could be an excellent way to kick off her vacation and imagined being in a room full of famous names and them not having a clue who she was.
Maybe she would meet someone, perhaps a friend or a lover if they played their cards right.
She was taken out of her thoughts when she heard her phone vibrate. It was Kagome letting her know she had arrived home. She puts her phone on the charger and falls fast asleep.
A/N: I know I said I may or may not write on fanfiction but even without notifications, Fanfiction introduced me to a lot so I wouldn't give up yet.
To the reader who mentioned about RayvynSky, her name sounds familiar but I will look into her stuff. I love to see everyone's imagination, so thank you.
SessRinLover, thank you for your words as always and it is unfortunate that AO3 is a problem for you, it has been well to me. But as you can see I posted. I wish I could post a smiley face.
