When Worlds Collide
On a warm day during the last week of August, five young teens arrive at Kadic Academy Junior High and High School. The teens arrive from the City of Pallet and are eager and nervous to start at their new school. Where they're from, young people could travel the world and train with Pokemon, but a few years ago, it was deemed dangerous and putting trainers' lives at risk. To be fair, the trainers willingly put their lives at risk because that is what they want to do. With that, all the children and young adults under eighteen have to be enrolled in school. The five teens already completed their junior high studies at a school that only goes to eighth grade. Now, they are here in the City of Paris to complete their studies. "What the fuck do you mean you are breaking up with me?" Sorry about that. One of the teens is going through a break-up right now; ouch, well, at least it sounds like it is going well. "I knew it! I fucking knew it! I knew that I put more into this relationship than your fucking ass!" Spoke too soon. But here's hoping that Kadic Academy is the school where two worlds collide.
Dawn Adams hangs up the phone and cries by the gates. "Dawn, what is wrong?" Allison Jones, Dawn's best friend, asks her. "Kenny! He broke up with me!" "Excuse me! I know that you haven't seen him this summer because he went on a study trip but what!" Allison sits next to her and rubs her back. "I'm sorry! I wish I can take some of your pain away!" "Please! When we all thought Ash was going to military school, you were losing it. I wished I could take some of that pain away." Allison hugs Dawn. "Not like this!" Nearby, Ash Ketchum and Brock Peterson listen in. "Why did Kenny break up with you?" Ash asks. "He said that he has to go to school in Siberia, and he can't handle long distance," Dawn cries. Ash and Brock look at each other. "That sounds like shit! I would know, remember Leona and I broke up a few months ago," Brock said. "Becasue she cheated on you with a classmate, and you caught her in the act on our end of the year trip," Ash points out. "Yeah, and she gave me a shitty reason for it!" Dawn wipes her tears as Allison's brother Ash Jones or Ash J arrives. "I had to run for my stuff. Mom knew that I left in the truck, and she still went her way!" Ash J notices Dawn crying. "Are you okay? What died?" "My relationship! With Kenny, that asshole!" Dawn shouts. "I am sorry!" Ash J says. "If this makes you feel better. He went radio silent the day after school ended, and he didn't want to take you to the end of the year dance, which are signs." "I guess so." Dawn stands up. "I can't be crying in front of the principal." Dawn grabs her luggage. "Do you need a minute? We came early," Allison asks. "No, I am ready!" At the principal's office, Mr. Jean Pierre Delmas speaks to the students. "Welcome to Kadic Academy. We hope that you'll find our school welcoming. Now, here are a few words from our Physical Education teacher, Mr. Jim Moralas. "Thank you, Mr. Delmas. Now here at Kadic, we have an honor system that I expect all of you to abide by. This means at Kadic; we have a strong institution and a perfect record of no hanky panky business. With that being said, whenever applied, girls stay on the girls' floor, and boys stay on the boys' floor. This does mean if girls are on the boys' floor and boys are on the girls' floor, disciplinary action will be taken. Also, that means that girls are upstairs and boys are downstairs, and girls are up, and boys are down. Girls are not down, and boys are not up. If the down meets up or the up meets down, things will have to be done about it..." After that, Jim loses the group. "Okay, this Jimbo has fucking lost me," Ash thought. "Okay, any questions?" The group is speechless. "Cat got your tongue?" Jim asks. "That was a lot of information. Can you explain it again?" Dawn asks. "Maybe I can take a crack? I think he means when it is curfew time, boys and girls have to stay on their floors. Right?" Allison asks. "Yes! That is perfect. Now, go to your rooms and settle in. Class assignments are being given out in an hour." As the group leaves and walks to the dorms, Dawn speaks up. "He could have fucking say that!" "I know! I heard he is also the dorm manager," Ash J says. "What! He seems like the wrong person to mess with. I don't want to be part of the group that is on the wrong side of Jim Morals," Brock says.
Over at an abanded factory, there is a lab with a supercomputer. Working on the supercomputer is a young teen name Jeremy Belpois. "Almost done. Soon we'll be able to see when XANA has been since getting access to the internet." "And then we'll be able to be one step closer in our fight against XANA, " Yumi Ishyama says as she plays a board game with Aelita Stones. "XANA has been quiet all summer," Aelita says. "I know. Soon, we'll be able to see what XANA has planned next," Jeremy says. "Missed us!" Odd Della Robbia shouts. "Oh, were you gone? No wonder it was quiet!" Yumi says. "Fuck you!" Odd says. "Hey! Easy! We came from two weeks of being one with nature!" Ulrich Stern says. "How was it?" Aelita asks. "Relaxing. But, I missed my bed!" The group laughs. Odd pulled Ulrich to the side to speak with him. "This is your chance. Your chance to tell Yumi how you feel." "Odd, stop!" "No. Tell her!" "Fuck it! Leave it alone!" "I got something!" Jeremy shouts. "You found XANA on the network?" Aelita asks. "Yes. It will take time to gather all of the data, but we will have some answers." "Great. In the meantime, I am going to recharge back at the dorms before we get our class assignments," Odd says. At the dorms, Dawn looks lost as she unpacks her clothes. Allison, on the other hand, finishes decorated her side of her room. "Now, all we need is lights to add some sparkle to the room." Allison turns around and sees Dawn looking lost in her thoughts. "Let's go for a walk." "Why?" Dawn asks. "Because you have packed and unpacked the same set of clothes for twenty minutes," Allison says. Dawn looks down and notices the clothes. "I think you are right," Dawn says. As the two friends walk together, Aelita walks in the opposite direction. "I wondered what would have happened if my father hadn't given his life for me. Or if we were so fucking stupid in falling for another XANA trap!" Aelita places her hands in her pocket and daydreams. Dawn wraps her arms around each other and sighs. "What a way to start a new school: heartbroken!" "I know, but at least nothing here reminds you of Kenny," Allison says. "Fair," Dawn looks down as she walks. Then a CRASH occurs. Dawn and Aelita fall to the ground. "Shit! What the hell?" Aelita shouts. "Shit to you too!" Dawn says. Allison helps them both out. "Sorry," Dawn says. "That's okay!" Aelita says. Allison looks at Aelita and is stunned by her appearance. "Anyway," Dawn says. "Sorry..." "Aelita!" "Dawn! This is my best friend and roommate, Allison." "Hey," Allison says. Dawn and Aelita shake hands. "Your turn." "To do what?" Aelita asks. "Apologize." "No. I am the injury party." "Me too!" Both girls growl at each other. "Look," Allison interjects. "We can be civil. You both should say sorry just to be polite." "Fuck no! I did nothing wrong. You were not looking where you were going!" Aelita shouts. "Neither were you!" Dawn shouts back. "Look, Dawn, let's finish unpacking!" Allison says. "Already leaving!" Dawn shouts. When she and Allison get back to their room, Aelita is their neighbor. "Fucking great! She is next to us!" Dawn shouts. "The feelings mutual bitch!" Aelita shouts. "Coming from the pink hair bitch, that is classic!" Dawn slams the door. As she unpacks, Allison thinks about Aelita. Her name is familiar, and she looks like my cousin. Ash and Brock unpacked on the boys' floor and left their door open to let in the fresh air. "I think we have finished faster than the girls," Brock says. "I knew we would. They have to stop and talk and blah," Ash says. "Can you imagine making out with Allison?" "Yes. No! Fuck you, Brock!" Ash shouts. "Come on, just stay on your side of the room!" "Fuck you!" Odd and Ulrich walk by the room and sees the two boys talking. "Knock, knock," Odd says. "Odd, what are you doing?" Ulrich asks. "Being friendly." Ash answers."Hello?" "Hi, I'm Odd, and this is my roommate and friend, Ulrich," Odd says. "Hello," Ulrich says. "Hey, I'm Ash, and this is Brock." "Hey," Brock says. "We live right across the hall," Odd says. "Cool!" Brock says. Ulrich sees a book on Ash's bed. "Is that Galaxy Series: Worlds Collide?" "Yep. I read all the books," Ash says. "The only books I'll read for fun," Ulrich says. "I'll watch the movies," Odd says. "Don't start.," Brock says. "Ash will go off on you if you say that. The books are better than the movies." "That is a fact!" Ulrich says. Ash ash unpacks, he takes out a pink lace bra that belongs to Allison. Ash blushes, and Ulrich stares at him. "Not judging!" "No! This is my girlfriend's." Wow! Your girlfriend must really have you going!" Odd teases. Ash looks at Odd as he takes out a rope and stretches it. "Mercy on me!" Odd says. "This rope is not for you. Also, her brother must have put that in my suitcase, so she'll tear me to shreds!" "Her brother will do that!" Brock confirms. "Wow, sounds like a friend's younger brother," The boys laugh. "Anyway, five minutes until class assignments come out," Odd says. "Thanks!" Ash says. "I think we are in the same grade." "Great, see you around," Ulrich says. "Likewise," Brock says.
Outside, Odd whines. "Shit! Becasue of Jim, I'm in a different class!" "It is hard enough with Yumi in a different class. With Odd, it will be impossible to coordinate," Jeremy says. "It doesn't help the Sissi rubs it in my face," Odd says. "Maybe talk to Jim about it!" Aelita says. At the same time, Dawn smiles. "We're all in the same class!" "I know. We're going to have fun, but I heard the senior teacher is the real deal," Allison says. "Well, ninth grade is only the beginning," Brock says. "The beginning of the end," Ash says. As the group, Delta Company laughs, they run into the Lyoko Warriors, and Aelita and Dawn lock eyes. "HER!" They shout. "What the fuck is happening?" Ash asks. "She! That blueberry is the one who ran into me!" Aelita shouts. "Excuse me! It was mutual, and you didn't apologize!" Dawn shouts. "Why should she? You started it!" Jeremy shouts. "Cute! Your boyfriend is protecting you!" Aelita blushes. "He is not-I mean!" "Don't change the subject!" Jeremy shouts. "Hey, looking at him, I wouldn't admit either!" Dawn shouts. "Dawn!" Allison shouts. "What the fucking is happening?" Brock asks. "Look. Dawn, you need to fuck off, my best friend!" Yumi shouts. "Well, your best friend needs to be a decent human! to my best friend!" Allison shouts. "Hello!" Ash shouts. "See here!" Yumi starts. "Pause! I will speak!" Allison speaks. "Dawn and Aelita were both walking towards each other and didn't see each other and bumped into each other. Dawn apologized, and Aelita did too, and Dawn is offended for the lack of apology, and Aelita is offended because she feels she should not have to." "So, Dawn and another girl ran into each other on the first day of school!" Brock says. "Hey. Whose's side are you on?" Dawn asks. "Well, you have a pattern," Ulrich says. "No. Aelita needs to apologize. It is the right thing to do!" "Fuck off," Aelita said. "That is my friend you are talking to!" Ash shouts. "Well, your friend insulted my cousin, and you know what they say about blood!" Odd shouts. Allison is taken back by that sentence. Cousins? Maybe four times removed. "Look, maybe the girls should say sorry and move on," Brock says. "Who the fuck are you, a mediator?" Yumi asks. "Watch your fucking mouth!" "Also, we don't need any trouble. So why don't you and your little group of friends leave." Allison gets angry. "What the hell? Both girls were responsible for the incident, and if Aelita doesn't;t want to apologize, that that is fucking rude, and she is full of shit!" Aelita gets angry, but Odd is angrier when he sees their class assigned cards. "No fucking way, they are in your class and not me!" "Too bad. We wanted to go another round!" Ash says. "No! We are leaving and taking any compassion for your assholes with us!" Allison says. As they leave, Sissi sees this as a chance to make an ally. "Hi. I heard that you are new to Kadic. I am Sissi Delmas." "Delmas?" Delta Company asks. "The principal's kid!" Ulrich runs towards them. "Sissi! Stay away from them. Nobody needs to deal with your shit!" "Ulrich, do you kiss Yumi with that mouth?" Sissi asks. "Fuck you!" "When was the last time you kiss someone?" Odd teases. "Fuck you, scrawny!" Everyone couldn't help but chuckle. "I am svelte!" Odd shouts. When Sissis turns around, Delta Company leaves.
Later that night, Odd bounces a ball on the wall while talking to his friends. "Man! XANA changes plans. Why attack the heart of Lyoko?" "Becasue we won't be able to deactivate towers and stop XANA from its plan. We have to protect the Core at all cost," Jeremy says. Aelita sighs. "XANA changes tactics with certainty; we have to be prepared." "We will, princess," Ulrich says. "Odd, did you fix your problem? I hope that you didn't do anything stupid," Yumi asks. "Yes. I spoke to Jim from the heart and told him that being at school is harder without friends. He went for it and told me to stay out of trouble," Odd says. "So, less than last year?" Aelita asks. "Yes!" They all laugh. "Be careful; half of the troublesome four are across the hall," Ulrich says. "Fuck them! If their blueberry wants to be an ass, then so be it!" Aelita says. "If the strawberry wants to be a dick, then let her," Dawn says as she bounces a ball on the wall. Allison looks through a family album and sees a girl with pink hair and her parents. "She looks like her," Allison says. "Count your blessings. If that bitch is related to you, she is trouble!" Then, Ash J knocks on the door. "Hi, wombmate! We're in the same class!" "Yeah! As long as you leave my boyfriend alone," Allison says. "Maybe. Hey, that girl looks like Aelita Stones!" "I know!" "I wonder..." "Me too." "Are you going to do some hacking?" "No! I am not getting kicked out of school!" Ash J laughs. "Also, our cousins Jimmy and Joanne are here as well." "Sweet!" Then Ash and Brock arrive. "Did Dawn cool down?" Brock asks. "No!" Dawn shouts. "The school is talking about it," Ash J says. "What?" Allison says. "Yep! That is what we are here. Hey, that girl in your photo album looks like Aelita," Brock says. "She does! We might look into that!" Allison says. "We?" Ash J asks. Aelita looks at the window. "I hope that XANA doesn't ruin any else for me."
With that, our two groups meet in an unorthodox way and are off to a rocky start. However, there is a reason that these two group worlds collide. With XANA gearing up for a new plan to prevent the Lyoko Warriors from stopping its attacks and a possible connection to Aelita, what could happen? As for Delta Company, becoming part of a gossip trail may not be such a bad thing on day one. Also, speaking of XANA, its ghost enters a man at the sewer plant and takes over him. He turns on a machine that raises sewer level into the rivers and sewer systems; as he does this, raw sewage leaks into the supercomputer room.
