A/N: A little surprise, because I will never write something with this pairing again. As always, I don't own these guys. Erm, and girls.
"I didn't see you at the meeting, Malfoy." Her Mary Jane shoe tapped impatiently on the cold stone floor. Her slender arms crossed over her chest, Prefect badge glowing in the dim torch light.
"I had more important things to do," he answered, turning the page in his Potions book.
"Like what? What is more important than serving the Dark Lord? This is supposed to be your number one priority, Malfoy."
"I had Quidditch practice. We want to beat Potter and his red-headed groupies, don't we." He shifted on the black leather couch in the Slytherin common room.
"Your father was angry." She moved around the table his feet were rested on and sat next to him. He lightly scooted away, not enough for her to notice.
"He would be." He flipped the page again.
"You're not reading this." She reached over and pulled the book from his grip. "Talk to me."
"There's nothing to say. I didn't go to the meeting, they're not going to kill me."
"They will if you keep slacking off. They don't play games, Malfoy."
"They trust me. You should be the one worried about your own skin, Gryffindor." Her back straightened. She flipped her long hair over her shoulder, standing up confidently.
"I'm their inside source. They would be no where without me."
"Considering you can actually get Potter to tell you anything. Is that why you did this? Because he wouldn't love you?"
"Of course not. I'm through with him," she sniffed at the air in a dignified manner. "All of them."
"You're lying to yourself. Voldemort doesn't need you. Potter doesn't love you. You're escaping in something that's just going to get you killed," he stretched out and stood in one fluid motion. "Don't full yourself, Weasley." He walked up the stone steps to the Head Boy room, not looking back as Ginny's face contorted into rage.
"Shows what you know, Malfoy!" she screamed at the staircase he went up. "I didn't do it to attack Harry! I didn't to it to be against my family!"
She stomped toward the Slytherin common room entrace. For a split second, she let down her rage and let her head drop, just a little.
"I did it for you."
