Author's Note: I'm back again with another chapter to cause more chaos in the dxd world. Before I start I'll answer the questions for the people who had thoughts on certain things.
Speedster452-Epic chapter. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. Just a few questions though. I get the sun thing and all but why would Meliodas opted to use a sun when he can use his destroyer power which is haxed deconstruction that bypasses resistances. My bad the crt is going to be implemented soon so they do have resistance to electricity manipulation and it will be added soon. Also what was that other sword Zeldris used. Any reason why Zeldris didn't use omnious nebula? Also the commandments can't really be soloed because of greyroad. Another crazy thing is that if Chandler and Cusack fuse Zeldris can defuse then with the demon destroyer sword. So Zeldris can use any sword right then I advice using the blades from fate stay knight or giving Zeldris and awakening like unlimited blade works used by shirou emiya or zanpaktous from bleach. I am glad the vampire race was remembered they can be busted with demon blood. So Meliodas can still use the commandment right? It's fine that the commandments and everyone else is fighting elsewhere but others would like to know what is happening(mainly me). Wasn't the indura the DK zeldris summoned listening to his orders I am pretty sure powerful enough mid hax can control and indura. I think that's all for now might have more questions and suggestions later on. Again awesome chapter.
The first thing is Meliodas's absolute Destruction. He didn't use it because I didn't have him use it and there wasn't a need to use it. Meliodas's DK form is more than enough to deal with Sirzechs. And his destroyer power is separate from his DK powers, and it was supposed to be a battle between the leaders. Where's the battle if Meliodas erases Sirzechs and all of Lucifaad in one attack. Idk what crt was supposed to mean but reading the rest I can assume you mean the electricity resistance for high-ranking demons and if it will be added then good but I'm going to stand by what I said about it in the last chapter. You're going to have to be specific when you mean Zeldris's swords because I used Enma from One Piece, which was the new one, and the Demon-Destroyer and the Demon-Dweller sword. Zeldris didn't use Ominous Nebula because he didn't, simple as that. I'm not going to use all the abilities, that's like Madara going through every individual jutsu he has. There's also the fact that why would he use that when he can create swords with a variety of powers and why would Akuja just let him use such an ability. Not only that, but he needs to be extremely concentrated to use it, and because of how smart Akuja is he knows how dangerous Zeldris is, so he wouldn't give him the chance.
The commandments no longer possess the commandments. So Grayroad's commandment no longer affects herself or anyone. I'm also not using any swords from Fate because their shit is too overpowered. And Zeldris getting Unlimited Blades works is something that he'll train for IF I decided to give him that. As for the Zanpaktous from Bleach, that's iffy. Because each Zanpaktou is more unique than whatever Zeldris can create. Those swords are not only sentient but they also all range in personalities and powers, even if I gave him two somewhat similar swords. So I won't be using Zanpaktous and anything from Fate, unless I decided otherwise, and Zeldris getting Unlimited Blade Works is very unlikely. Meliodas can fully utilize the commandments if he wanted to, and I'm going to be honest there are very few characters on the dxd side that are still in this. For example, Xenovia, Gasper, and Irina are still there but as you already know Xenovia wishes to leave with Gasper while Irina is afraid of falling should she abandon everyone. (I will actually get to that in this chapter)
An Indura can't be controlled, DK Zeldris summoned it and said that it needed to respond to the King of Demons. It doesn't matter what the beast is, magical or not, if there's something else that's higher up in the food chain or a leader that's far stronger than itself it's going to listen. I don't think he used mind control, Indura's are monsters by instinct alone, and Merlin said that it was reacting to them due to their killer intent. And while a powerful mind hax could control it, it would need to be very powerful as Gowther can't even fully take its senses away. Now, if Meliodas summoned it somewhere it would continue destroying whatever it wanted unless told otherwise by Meliodas.
Questions and suggestions are always appreciated and because I just refreshed the review page another thing was added so I'll address it now as well. Mind you, If I'm about mid-way into the chapter and I see a new review I'll just answer it at the end, unless it's recent.
Speedster452-Just one more question why is izraf with a power level of 8 thousand fighting a character that can give Zeldris trouble who in base has a 60 thousand power level? Also their are so many other swords that Zeldris could use I hope that this is put to good use.
Izraf is fighting Akuja because I wanted to implement him and there's no way that Derieri is taking on balance breaker Sairaorg or Akuja. Her main thing is brute force, but that's not working against Akuja. Yes, Izraf is weaker than Zeldris and Akuja by miles, but Izraf is very prideful and he isn't going to back out of something he agreed upon. He's also arrogant, but that hasn't stopped him before. I was actually going to do something with him and Zeldris, but I forgot about it so instead I'm going to do it with Akuja. I also know that there are many swords Zeldris can create and utilize, but that doesn't mean I'm jumping to overpowered weapons like Kyoka Suigetsu, Ea the sword of destruction, or the sword of Nunoboko from Naruto. What's the point of having a battle between characters if one of them is summoning a god-like weapon for the instant K.O?
I get it, Zeldris has stated multiple times that he will kill anything with all his might. However, he also relishes a good fight. Whether he realizes it or not, he also likes a good battle unless he's truly fighting for something. Much like when he tried his hardest to prevent the sins and Mael from preventing Meliodas from becoming the DK because he was promised Gelda and that alone made him use everything he had to try and kill them.
Alright uh, before I really start the chapter I do have some explaining to do as to why I was gone. (It's actually not your business so I'm not explaining why) But, there are many things I'm realizing while I re-read the last chapter, and noticed many different things that I'm going to change and that need to be changed. One of them was Derieri against Sairaorg, I'm going to have that fight go as I originally planned, Eight Gates and all. The second was Izarf, apparently, I did the math wrong. Idk whose power level I used, but it wasn't Izarf's as his two-fold increase should've gone up to 9,780. What I'm doing with him and Akuja is still the same, I just did a few things very wrong and instead of changing them in the last chapter, I'll just do it now. I figured that I'll just tell you all now instead of having you all read it and then question the retcon before reading this, which I would've put at the end of the chapter. Sorry about this and why I've been gone, but I'm back again.
Anyway, I need to start the chapter so here we go
Chapter 25-Tipping the Power Scale
(With Monspeet and Greyroad)
Monspeet wasn't contributing to the war effort. Instead, he was sitting on a chair of fire with two High-Ranking Devils guarding him. He didn't need them to guard him, he could protect himself, but they insisted and Monspeet simply gave in. If they were going to be guarding him he might as well relax while he had the chance before someone came along to try and kill him.
"Hey!"
He just had to have a peaceful moment. Monspeet sighed as he opened his eyes to see Xenovia flying in front of him. With her was Irina who looked nervous, but Xenovia was far more confident. His guards started gathering their magic as they summoned weapons of darkness. Xenovia held Durandal while Irina had Hautecere.
"Oh, aren't you the girl from the tournament?" Monspeet asked as Xenovia nodded, surprised that he remembered her. Irina was surprised as well, as she didn't know that Xenovia participated in the tournament. However, before they could start fighting, Xenovia put her weapon away. her action surprised her friend and enemy as Xenovia told Irina to put her weapon away as well.
"Xenovia!? What are you-"
"Just shut up and do it!" Xenovia roared having interrupted her. Irina flinched back as she quietly put her sword away. The two Devils didn't know what to do as they turned to Monspeet for orders. The Demon was silent as he stared at the two until he created chains of fire and restrained them.
"W-Wait! We just want to talk!" Xenovia quickly said as the two Devils laughed. They assumed that they were lying, and were actually here to kill Monspeet. The Demon believed it as well, and this was a time when he wished Galand still possessed his Commandment. Either way, they wished to have a conversation he would grant it to them. If he was being honest, Monspeet believed himself to be the kindest of the commandments. Other than Gowther, everyone else wasn't kind to sit down and have a chat unless it was something they wanted in their favor.
Even Meliodas, Zeldris, and Estarossa weren't as kind as he was. Well, as kind one can be when a part of the Demon Race.
"You wish to talk, then let's talk." Monspeet said as he clasped his hands together and waited for Xenovia to speak.
"It's about the tournament. I won and I'm demanding that give me what I wish." Xenovia yelled as Monspeet raised a brow. That was it? Did she give herself and her friend up for wish? He almost laughed. He wondered if she was stupid or if she really had a wish that she wanted to be granted.
"Well, no one really won. That Fallen Angel interrupted it, and he-"
"He was killed!" Xenovia cut him off as one of the Devils punched her in the face.
"Lord Monspeet was speaking. And you will give him the respect he deserves, or else." The man threatened as Xenovia didn't care. Irina wanted to know what her friend wanted from this as she was feeling even more nervous than when they first arrived. Even feeling a little nauseous.
"The rules were that whichever team was last standing would each get a wish of whatever it could be so long as it was within your power! Baraqiel and his teammate died, leaving me the winner. My teammate died so its only fair that I get two wishes granted." Xenovia shouted as Monspeet started thinking. Xenovia knew that she was pushing her luck for one wish let alone two, but she figured that Monspeet would grant them to her instead of Estarossa.
"...True, I suppose you're right," Monspeet muttered, but thanks to their advanced senses they all easily heard him. Xenovia beamed while Irina just wanted to leave. "However, that second wish isn't something that I'll just give you. Just because your teammate died didn't mean you inherit his or her wish as well. If you want that second one, you'll have to earn it." Monspeet explained as Xenvoia looked to the ground. While she was happy that she was getting her wish, she was hoping that he would give her the second one. Well, he did say that she would need to earn it, and she prepared for anything that he might ask her.
"Fine. What am I doing for the second wish?" Xenovia asked as Monspeet started to think it over. The chains of fire loosened around the girls, Xenvia and Irina noticed but did nothing. Irina wanted to do something, but the glare from Xenovia told her otherwise and to stay exactly where she was.
"Xenovia, I'm not so sure about this. What makes you think that he'll give you what you want? What do you even want?" Irina asked as she did her best to whisper. Given that they were being held captive a few meters from people with advanced hearing, whispering needed to be almost nonexistent for them to have a "private" conversation.
"I want us, including Gasper, to have amnesty. As in we leave this war and live elsewhere, while also having protection from the Demon Race." Xenovia explained as she could see the color drain from Irina's face. She knew that her friend was in fear of falling, she always has been ever since she became friends with Devils and was in love with Issei. This only increased after her bout with Zeldris, as she feared of falling if she ran away from her comrades and abandoned them.
"A-are you crazy!? We can't just leave while everyone else is fighting to prevent the Underworld from falling!" Irina yelled as Monspeet was broken from his thoughts and watched them start to argue. The Devils watched as well, finding it amusing but kept their mouths shut.
"The Underworld is going to fall! You felt that blast of power, and I guarantee that it wasn't Sirzechs! Rias started this, she's now missing and she better hope that I don't find her. This is a losing battle, and it's something that no rebellion can win back. I'm just trying to make sure that Gasper isn't left alone in this world after the Demons take it over!" Xenovia snapped back as Irina flinched once again. "I followed Rias because I believed that she was a strong leader...because she could keep every one of us safe and not make such foolish decisions and that she could think rationally. But clearly, I was wrong! Kiba and Akeno are dead! Asia and Koneko are with the enemy! Issei is an emotionless robot! And Rias is still missing!" Xenvoia finished as Monspeet as one of the Devils to give her some water. While hesitant, he listened and used his magic to create water for her to drink as Xenovia thanked them.
Irina was silent during the whole ordeal. Her best friend had just shouted at her about everything that's transpired. What she said had been right, but she wanted to remain hopeful. That they would all prevail and they could return to how their lives were originally before all this. Or, at the very least, wish that this was a horrible nightmare that she was having. Wishing to wake up to see everyone alive and well.
"Well, it may satisfy you to know that Rias Gremory is dead." Monspeet said as Xenvoia was glad that she was dead. Although she was upset that she didn't kill Rias herself, she did ask how she was killed. Monspeet explained what happened from what happened when she stormed a campsite, was captured, raped, and then cut into pieces before being fed to an Indura. Irina gagged before leaning to the side and throwing up, not being able to handle the graphic details that were given while Xenovia gagged as well but she took pleasure in knowing that her death was horrible.
"Tell me, Monspeet. Can I have amnesty? I don't care who I'll have to kill, kidnap, or torture for it and the wish!" Xenovia asked as Irina's hair was covering her eyes. She couldn't believe Xenovia right now, how easily she was ready to leave everyone. How easily she was going to kill others for amnesty.
In the next instant, Irina broke free from her restraints and created two rings of Holy Magic. She threw them at the Devils as they couldn't protect themselves in time with the attack piercing their chest and killing them. Irina summoned her sword and went to kill Monspeet when Durandal stopped her.
"What the hell are you doing!?"
"I could ask you the same thing!"
Xenovia and Irina yelled at each other as Monspeet took the time to fly into the sky and watched them. Then it hit him, now he knew what Xenovia needed to do.
"Xenovia! If you want that second wish then kill your friend! If not, you and Gasper will still receive amnesty along with Irina should she accept it." Monspeet said as Xenovia froze for a second when Irina laughed. She knew that Xenovia wouldn't kill her, especially over something that she found foolish. Monspeet then said that even if she didn't kill Irina, he would allow her to leave alive.
"Irina...I don't want to kill you. We've been friends since we were kids, which is why I'm giving you a choice." Xenovia started as Irina's eyes widened and her hands started shaking. Xenovia was going to say something that she didn't want to hear. "You can join me and Gasper. I'll give up on that wish, but I'm not going to kill you. So, you can either join me or leave to help people in a losing war just to be imprisoned, tortured and many other things until death." Xenovia said implying the things that could happen to her. Irina had tears streaming down her face, refusing to believe that she had to make such a decision with no time to think it over.
(With Zeldris)
Zeldris and Sairaorg's battle was true destruction. The land around them was reduced to nothing as Sairaorg would punch away any spell that Zeldris sent towards him. Zeldris did his best to sever the connection between Sairorg and his Sacred Gear but the Devil would dodge him when he tried using his black sword. Their battle went back and forth as explosions were set off every time they clashed.
Zeldris knew that he wasn't going to cut him with his blade. He knew that he needed it if he wanted to remove Sairaorg from his armor, but if he wasn't going to land a hit then the blade was useless aside from the fact that it could negate magic as well. Even so, Sairaorg was brute strength, he hadn't tried conjuring a single spell during their battle, which really did make the sword useless.
Still, Zeldris didn't destroy the sword. He knew that he would need it, and instead stored it away and created a new one. His new sword didn't look special, at least to Sairaorg. It was a double-edged Jian, and Zeldris didn't seem to be bothered by Sairaorg's judgemental look on the blade. Instead, he pointed it forward as the blade instantly extended and not only surprised the Devil but the blade started cracking his armor.
"What!? How is cracking the armor!? What sort of weapon did he make!?" Sairaorg thought to himself before he tried to break the blade, only for his fist to bounce off of it. He was shocked, as was Zeldris, that his fist bounced off the blade. However, Zeldris smirked as he started channeling lightning through the sword as he pierced through the golden armor and through Sairaorg's shoulder.
The Devil sucked his teeth as he jumped back with his shoulder healing. Zeldris retracted the sword as his new sword cackled with electricity while the other cackled in darkness. It was obvious which one was stronger between them, but Zeldris knew that the other had versatility over the destructive power of the other. Either way, Zeldris knew that separating Sairaorg and his Sacred Gear was the priority, but that couldn't happen without a plan.
So, during this intense battle, Zeldris was thinking of multiple ways to use his sword against Sairaorg. But each plan he thought of couldn't work as the hulking Devil before he would dodge and counter with brute strength.
Zeldris could only create more weapons that would pierce through Sairaorg's armor, but not kill him. It wasn't until Sairaorg was suddenly blown back and he crashed through boulders that Zeldris had looked at the person behind the attack.
It was Derieri.
Her body was red as a green aura surrounded her. Her pupils were gone but she still had control over herself, unlike the time when she sacrificed five of her hearts to transform into an Indura.
Zeldris stared in shock before shaking his head and demanded Derieri to explain herself.
"When you told me to leave I did, then I remembered that he was mine! He beat me before and I refuse to leave it at a loss!" Derieri roared, having explained why she returned as Zeldris sighed but knew that she wasn't leaving again. At the same time, he looked up to see Izraf being held by his throat.
Zeldris was going to fly up and help him when the vampire bit into the Maou's arm and started drinking his blood. Akuja realized as he kicked Izraf off himself and into the ground next to the two high-ranking demons.
"Hehehe...Hahahahha!" Izraf simply laughed as his previous wounds started healing. Soon enough they were gone, almost as if he never had them in the first place. The Vampire King's power level soon increased from 9,780 to 58,680. (Real quick, it's never stated how much stronger a vampire grows from drinking the blood of a demon aside from their regen abilities. So I'm going to base it off how powerful the demon/devil is. A better explanation is at the end.)
Izraf's eyes glowed as he turned to Akuja, who stared at him in shock at his sudden power increase, and in his gathered an absurd amount of darkness magic before he released it towards the Maou. Akuja grew out of his shock and created a magic circle to dispel the attack.
However, the darkness had almost broke and blasted through the magic circle as Akuja amplified his magic until the attack dispersed on its own. The Maou stared in disbelief as did Zeldris and Derieri.
Although, Izraf's power had only increased, not gaining new abilities. The only thing was that being beheaded was something he could no longer die from, and sunlight was no longer a weakness as well. The Vampire King knew this and he started flying back into the air to face Akuja once again.
"I thank you for the meal. Once I've defeated you, I'll make sure to name a city after you once I've gained my new kingdom in this world." Izraf spoke as Akuja only glared at him. If the vampire believed that he would obtain his own kingdom then he was clearly delusional. Even so, Akuja now needed to take him seriously as he summoned his sword while Izraf created darkness in the palm of his hand.
As for the demons, they stared at Sairaorg before Derieri vanished and appeared in front of her opponent and punched him across the land.
"So, what is this form of magic?" Zeldris asked as Derieri explained that it wasn't magic. She continued by saying that she was releasing the limiters placed on her body, and it allowed her to gain far more strength than she previously had at the cost of straining her body.
"Don't die from this. Monspeet will surely be upset if you did." Zeldris lectured as Derieri only smirked before blasting off towards Sairaorg as Zeldris sighed. Before leaving, he yelled Izraf's name as the Vampire King looked at him before catching the sword that pierced Sairaorg's armor.
The two stared at each other before Zeldris followed after Derieri while Izraf coated his weapon in darkness. While he wasn't told, he knew that the sword could extend from seeing Zeldris use it against Sairaorg.
"This shall be interesting."
(Back with Monspeet)
Irina didn't know what to do. The two choices she had were impossible to make. There was a third one, but she wasn't taking it. She grew up with her, and she was her best friend, Irina didn't have the heart or the guts to kill Xenovia.
"Irina! Please think about this rationally and logically! If you stay for this war you'll just end up dying in vain. Yes, I understand that you're afraid of falling, but what's worse. Fighting in a war that has no chance of victory, or becoming a fallen angel and living another day?" Xenovia tried to reason with Irina who was very conflicted. Monspeet watched in amusement, although his face didn't show it.
"B-But if I abandon everyone I'll fall! It was different with Issei because I loved him, but now…but now he doesn't understand what love is! It's because of that I turned back to God's teaching, because I have nothing else and no one else to turn to!" Irina cried as tears were streaming down her face. The blade in her hands shook as she tried calming herself but she was instead hyperventilating. Xenovia saw this and was about to rush over to her when Monspeet yelled.
"No! Leave her be! As of right now, unless you plan to kill her, you cannot go over there and help her until she has given us an answer." Monspeet explained as Xenovia grit her teeth in frustration. Quite frankly she didn't have the time for this, she needed to get back to the Gremory household, get Gasper and leave.
From what she had heard, before confronting Monspeet, vampires from Meliodas's world had appeared and were helping as well. She couldn't let them find out about Gasper and his ability to stop time, because she could only assume that those vampires were worse than the ones here. And she didn't know what they would do to him. (Worse as in they're far more ruthless, which they are)
Monspeet knew he was being cruel, but this was war. He couldn't afford to show leniency to a possible enemy. Xenovia was on their side, but he doubted that she would assist in killing her former comrades. He also knew that he would need to make sure that everyone else knew that Xenovia plus someone named Gasper were essentially his subordinates, even though they never agreed to it.
"Irina…please come with me. You have me and Gasper! And Asia and Koneko are with Meliodas. You can put your faith in me and my decision. Issei isn't coming back, and even if he did he wouldn't have the power to stop this, not with how powerful Meliodas is. Then there's Vali and more great reasons why The Three Factions aren't going to win! You can turn to me whenever you want for anything. Just please, don't throw your life away for something that isn't going to help you." Xenovia begged as Irina heard her before she could drown out the noise around her. While it was slow, Irina did manage to regain herself and her breathing was going back to normal.
"F-Fine. I-I'll go with you." Irina muttered but was loud enough that they all heard her. She hid her sword as she was enveloped in a hug from Xenovia. Finally, she started to cry. Irina let out her emotions as she cried while Xenovia consoled her.
"Because you did not kill her, you do not get your second wish. However, you two along with this Gasper will now have amnesty. The only thing is you will be my subordinates so that the others don't kill you. Is that all right?" Monspeet asked as Xenovia was in thought before she nodded. Irina simply followed her actions as they both were on one knee.
"Also, I don't expect you to fight, but if I need you to fight, you will. Understood?"
"Yes, we understand. I only ask that you refrain yourself from acting like Rias Gremory." Xenovia coldly said as Monspeet chuckled and agreed to her request. She clearly hated Rias Gremory if she asked him that, along with the tone in her voice. But Monspeet complied knowing that he wasn't the kind to start wars.
"Then from this day forward, the two of you are now my subordinates. My name is Monspeet. If you so wish, I can summon some Devils and Fallen Angels to help you retrieve Gasper." Monspeet suggested as Xenovia shook her head.
"No need. I can do it alone. Irina, you stay here, I'll be back. Thank you for the offer, Lord Monspeet." Xenovia said as she bowed slightly before she flew off. Monspeet didn't expect her to address him with formality so quickly but he supposed that it didn't matter.
"Would you like some tea? It can calm you down." Monspeet offered Irina as she quietly nodded. Monspeet created a table and two chairs of fire as he sat on his while Irina was hesitant she sat down and wasn't burned. He snapped his fingers as a tea set appeared, he then poured Irina some tea.
"It's Jasmine Tea. I do hope you enjoy it."
"Thank you…Lord Monspeet."
Chapter End
Author's Note: Hello everyone it is I once again and I have returned. What many people have been asking for is here! A new chapter for you all to read along with me fixing many mistakes as you've read at the beginning.
Now let me address a few things. Irina and Xenovia had two different scenarios, the one you've read, and the other is where Irina stays in the war.
Knowing me, she might've been killed by the knights of black or something. Anyway, I've changed many things, mainly the plot of the last chapter and the things I've said. Now, onto Izraf's increased power.
I've received many complaints on the power scaling for this story, and I've gotta say, its fucking annoying at this point. I get it, Issei having 110,000 in juggernaut drive is absurd, Meliodas being able to annihilate a mountain with a stick, something I forgot about, and many other things.
But guess what? I no longer care. This story is nearing its end, and y'all better be ready for it. But enough rambling, let me explain the boost of Izraf.
So, the way I thought about it was multiplying his night time boost, 9,780, by 6. Going higher would've placed him above base Zeldris, and that's not right. But going lower wouldn't have made a difference as he's now around base Zeldris's level. Now, before I hear complaints about Gelda drinking The DK's blood, that was in the main timeline, that shit didn't happen here so don't say anything about it.
Now, other than Gelda, there's no reason as to make a scaling system. As many vampires were killed, and the ones we have seen are dead. The rest are just background characters and if I need too then I'll multiply their power level, whatever I want it to be, by whatever number I choose but nothing overboard.
Anyway, this is the end of the chapter, and the next one will be just as good. Maybe. Possibly. Idk anymore, but shits about to go down.
