A/N- Hey guys! I'm back after a several year hiatus. I'm older, wiser, and hopefully maybe a slightly better writer than I was back then. I'm excited to return to Casey and her torment on Halloween night of 2016 in Haddonfield. I hope you guys are as excited as I am!
INT. BRADY RESIDENCE- FOYER
MICHAEL MYERS smacks the floor with a sickening thud and squelch as blood splatters onto the floor. A girl can be heard sobbing somewhere out of frame. Michael lays crumpled on the floor, unmoving. After a few minutes, CASEY EVANS staggers into frame. She's covered in blood. She looks down at Michael's body for a moment before disappearing outside. She can still be heard sobbing.
Michael slowly sits up and looks around the room. After a moment he stands up and we switch to-
MICHAEL'S POV
Slowly he walks through the foyer and into the kitchen as voices can be heard outside. He continues through the kitchen and into the laundry room. A bloodied hand reaches out and opens a door that leads out into the night.
He moves into the Brady's backyard and stops, looking both ways. On the left, a fence lines the property. To the right, more fence, but also a gate. Michael moves over to the gate and slowly swings it open. We cut to-
EXT. SOMEWHERE IN HADDONFIELD
Michael is in full shot of the camera. He slowly walks away from the Brady residence and disappears into the darkness of the night.

INT. QUINN RESIDENCE- KITCHEN
A young woman is seen standing in front of the kitchen sink, washing dishes. A cell phone is pressed between her head and shoulder. She's talking to someone while she cleans. This is ERICA QUINN, 20 years old. She has brown hair that flows down to around the middle of her back. She's wearing a yellow long sleeved tee and high waisted jeans.
She responds yes or no to a couple of questions that whomever she's speaking to asks her. After a few moments she straightens to her full height and looks a little disturbed by whatever the caller has said.
ERICA
Oh my God. I bet it was Haddonfield High kids. I bet Derek went to school with them. (Pause) Yeah, I'm almost certain. Did they get the guy that did it? (Pause) Michael Myers!? Isn't he like 60 some years old by now?
Erica turns away from the sink and runs from the kitchen into the living room.
INT. QUINN RESIDENCE- LIVING ROOM
Erica grabs the remote off of a coffee table and hits the power button several times, as if the tv can somehow power on faster the more times she pushes it. Finally, the television lights up, giving the living room an eerie blue light. She changes through the channels until she lands on a local news channel.
On the television screen, a reporter stands in front of a familiar looking house. It's the Rayne residence, where Casey discovered the bodies of her friends. There seems to be a large police presence at the house, as several officers can be seen moving around behind the reporter.
REPORTER
Six victims have been reported dead inside of the home of deputy Rayne. There seems to be one survivor who sustained life-threatening injuries. No names have been released to the public as of yet. Several houses down from here, another survivor was pulled from the home, also having sustained several injuries. They are reportedly in critical condition and receiving medical attention.
As the reporter speaks, Erica places a hand over her mouth and shakes her head. This is awful. So, so awful…
REPORTER
Michael Myers has reportedly escaped from Smith's Grove Sanitarium, and is the reported suspect behind this Halloween massacre. His whereabouts are unknown.
ERICA
Oh God, you mean, he's still out there!?

EXT. QUINN RESIDENCE- FRONT YARD
Michael stands in front of the home, looking in through one of the windows. He watches Erica as she runs across to the front door and locks it. As she moves towards the window, he backs out of sight.
INT. QUINN RESIDENCE- LIVING ROOM
Erica stands in front of the window, looking out. All she can see is the streetlights, illuminating the road in front of her home. She watches for several minutes.
ERICA
I made sure my door's locked. My God, I can't believe this is happening. I wonder if the survivors are at Haddonfield Memorial…? Well, I'll find out when I go in tomorrow morning for sure. (Pause) Yeah, I'll let you know who they are.
Erica makes her way back over to the couch, sitting down on the edge of it and looking back to the television. On screen, a grumpy looking old man is being interviewed.
MAN
I saw a girl running across the street, covered in blood. She was screaming and crying for someone to help her and that Michael Myers was after her. I assumed she was just some dumb kid trying to play a little old Halloween prank, but maybe it was real after all…
ERICA
Yeah, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Stay safe. Bye now.
Erica hangs up the phone, lying it on the coffee table. She gets up from the couch and crosses back to the front window, looking out again. Those poor kids… thinking about it, she can't help but tear up a little bit.
Michael Myers had went on a killing spree on Halloween night of 1978, and now, nearly 40 years later, he had went on another killing spree on Halloween night of 2016.
A shiver runs down Erica's spine. She crosses her arms and rubs her upper arms, as if trying to warm up. There would be no sleep for her tonight. Not with all of this having happened. Not with a maniac on the loose.
Erica turns away from the window, deciding to go finish washing the dishes. As she turns she sees a figure standing beside the television, which causes her to jump and scream.
FIGURE
Whoa! Calm down, what's the matter with you?
The figure walks over to Erica, it's DEREK QUINN, 17, her little brother. Like Erica, he also has brown hair.
ERICA
Jesus Derek, why were you just standing there? You little creep!
DEREK
Why are you jumpy? Big chicken shit!
Derek shoves past his sister, rolling his eyes. He unlocks the door and is about to open it.
ERICA
Wait! Where are you going?
DEREK
Out to hang with my friends. Why?
ERICA
You can't go out there, Michael Myers is back! He's already murdered a bunch of people, and who knows where he could be now!
Derek stands there, taking in what his sister has just said to him. He rolls his eyes again when she has finished. She's always been an annoying goody two shoes. She was always telling him he shouldn't do this and shouldn't do that. He wished she would move out already. She was done with school, after all.
DEREK
Whatever, see ya later.
Before she can say anything else, Derek disappears out the door, slamming it behind him. Erica thinks about going after him, but decides it will do her no good. She just hopes he'll be okay out there. She sighs and locks the door before heading towards the kitchen.
EXT. QUINN RESIDENCE- FRONT YARD
Derek walks across the yard, texting on his phone. He doesn't notice Michael coming up behind him. He keeps texting but comes to a stop.
DEREK
Holy shit.
One of his friends has just informed him of the police presence at the Rayne residence. And all of the murders. Erica was right. There was a killer on the loose.
Derek starts to walk toward his vehicle just as Michael reaches out a hand and GRABS HIM.
Derek lets out a cry of pain as the camera cuts away.

INT. QUINN RESIDENCE- KITCHEN
Erica is back in front of the sink, finishing up the last of the dishes. With Derek having left, she was the only one still home. Her parents were off at a Halloween party. She figured they would be home soon, once they heard about the murders.
Something about it has just really disturbed Erica. She's not sure why. She probably didn't know those kids, at least not directly. But there was a chance Derek did.
Oh, Derek. Erica used to love spending time with him but ever since he had gotten older, he had started to become more and more of a jerk.
She continues to wash dishes, lost in thought. Behind her, the front door can be seen. Slowly, ever so slowly, the door opens. Michael can be seen standing in the doorway, Derek slung over his shoulder. Derek's keys can be seen hanging in the door knob.
Erica finishes washing dishes. She places the last plate on the drying rack before walking over to the fridge. She opens the door and bends down to look in.
[The soundtrack begins to build, suspense is mounting.]
Erica rummages around, grabbing a Dr. Pepper and shutting the fridge. Nothing is there. She opens the bottle and takes a sip. She sets the bottle down on the island and heads back towards the living room.
INT. QUINN RESIDENCE- LIVING ROOM
Erica jumps as she steps into the living room to see-
-the back of Derek's head. He's sitting on the couch, watching television. Erica puts a hand to her chest and huffs angrily.
ERICA
Seriously, Derek? Are you trying to scare me to death tonight?
Derek doesn't respond. Erica has no idea that he can't respond. Or that she's not alone. Michael is standing in the darkest corner of the living room, watching.
ERICA
Derek? Hello?!
Derek doesn't respond, again. Erica rolls her eyes.
ERICA
Whatever. I'll be back in a minute.
Erica walks past Derek, down the hallway toward her bedroom. She never notices the giant gash on Derek's face where Michael struck him several times with a tree branch. The blood all over the front of his Metallica shirt. Or that his eyes are open in a permanent state of terror.
INT. ERICA'S BEDROOM
Erica steps into her bedroom, closing the door behind her. She has no idea what Derek's problem is. He must've finally realized what she said was the truth. He must've decided to stay home, which upset him. But he didn't need to take his bad mood out on her.
Erica walks over to her closet, getting ready to change into a pair of pajamas.
INT. QUINN RESIDENCE- KITCHEN
Michael walks into the kitchen, looking around. He sees a knife block sitting on the counter. He walks over to it and pulls out a butcher knife. He lifts it up to get a better look at it, tilting his head to the side.
INT. ERICA'S BEDROOM
Erica has changed into a gray long sleeved tee and fuzzy polar bear pajama bottoms. She flips her light off and heads back down the hall towards the living room.
INT. QUINN RESIDENCE- LIVING ROOM
Erica walks across the living room, sitting down on the couch next to Derek. She has still yet to notice that he's dead. She looks at the television, still on the news channel. She's waiting on him to say something. Maybe to apologize, but it's never going to come.
ERICA
Look, I'm sorry that you had to stay home tonight, but it's not my fault. There's a masked maniac on the loose out there. I want you to be safe, I mean, I couldn't forgive myself if something happened to you.
Really? He still wasn't going to say anything to her? Erica looks over at her brother, finally noticing all the blood. A look of confusion appears on her face, before a look of realization settles in, followed by panic and horror.
ERICA
Oh my God! Derek!
Erica goes to get off the couch, but Michael is standing right behind her. He sinks the butcher knife down through the top of her head. Erica's eyes grow wide and she cries out in pain. She has no idea what's just happened. Blood runs down the front of her face, between her eyes, down both sides of her nose and around her mouth.
Michael lets go of the hilt of the knife. Erica continues to try to stand for a moment before falling to the floor, smacking her head against the coffee table. She hits the floor with a thud.
She's dead.
Michael stands behind the couch, staring down at both Derek and Erica. His breathing can be heard loudly beneath the white mask. After a minute he turns and walks around the front of the couch, stepping over Erica's body and walking down the hallway of the home.
A short time later, after Michael has left the home, Mr. and Mrs. Quinn will come home to find their two children dead in the living room.
HALLOWEEN II
