What is done

Raylan slumped against a tree, ashamed, and humiliated. He tossed his blades up and down with his hands like juggling bats to try and settle his mind but the weight of his guardian's temper pressed hard on his shoulders like stone. He stared up and saw the other elven assassins staring out on the trees towards the castle. When they tilted their heads just slightly and noticed him, he received but cold, bitter glares. He walked away a bit but saw Runaan, disappointed standing in front of him. "Walk with me,"

He furrowed his eyebrows in worry and reluctantly followed him through the forest.

Caroline and her siblings walked into the throne per their father's request. She was feeling so much better except for the scab on her cheek from grazing against the rocks in that river.

Harrow awaited them sharing a nervous look with his eldest daughter. Both had yet to tell Ezran and Willow about the dreaded news.

Willow noticed. "What's going on? Dad, what's happening?"

He pulled on a fake smile. "You three are going to the Banther Lodge,"

Ezran frowned. "But it's not winter. It's not the spring lodge,"

Harrow rubbed his fingers on his chin. "Winter is coming eventually,"

"What will we do? Everything fun there has to do with snow and ice," said Willow, unconvinced.

Carol could see their dad was struggling. "Maybe you can invent new versions using dirt and rocks. You could build a dirt man! Or what about mud-sledging? That could be a thing!"

Ezran and Willow were surprised she was agreeing to this; her efforts were feeble. "No way are we going," Willow refused.

"Look, this is something I need you all to do," Harrow sighed.

"Dad!" whined Ezran.

"It's decided," he said sternly. "You're all leaving before sundown, so go and get packed up," he showed them to the door. Carol took her siblings' hands and led them out.

They walked down the hallway towards their rooms but Ezran and Willow pulled their hands free and stood firmly in front of their big sister with Bait still looking grumpy in Ezran's hands.

"Carol, what is going on?" Ezran demanded.

"Nothing," she lied.

"Stop lying to us!" shouted Willow. "We know something happened to you. We know you didn't fall into that river by accident,"

Carol sighed.

"Stop lying to us," begged Ezran.

"I don't want to scare you guys. Now let's go get packed," she tried to grab their hands to pull them away but they dodged her. She huffed. "Guys, this is serious,"

"You were attacked by elves, weren't you," said Willow bitterly. "And they're coming here. Aren't they,"

Carol sighed; she couldn't keep this up. "Guys, nothing is going to happen,"

"Are they coming here?" Ezran asked.

"Guys, stop asking questions and go backpacked," she ordered.

"Stop being so bossy," Ezran whined.

"I'm not trying to be bossy,"

"Stop treating us like kids. And stop lying to us!"

"It's okay to lie if you don't wanna scare them. I'm only trying to keep you two safe,"

"Stop trying to be mum! And stop telling us what to do! You're not the future ruler of this kingdom!" Ezran turned his back and dashed off.

"Ezran!" his sisters called out.

Carol sighed. "I'm gonna pop by the library to get some books for our trip. I'll see you two soon," she walked off through the door.

Willow looked out to her elder sister. She hated family tension. He picked up Bait and followed Ezran into his bedroom. He sat on her bed, digging his angry fingers into a pillow. "I think you overreacted a bit too far Ez,"

"She doesn't get to tell us what to do,"

"She's only trying to take care of us. And like it or not, we're still kids,"

"We can't let the elves scare us away. We won't abandon our home. "Luckily, Bait and I know a way we can stay hidden but don't have to leave home," he smirked at Bait who croaked. He grabbed Willow's hands and led her to a painting opposite the bedroom door. Then he pulled it open, revealing a secret passageway.

Runaan walked in front of Raylan hiding his red face. "I thought you could do, Raylan. But I was wrong,"

Behind that temper, Raylan could see how hurt he felt, how he felt all that training he had given had been for nothing. But Raylan wouldn't let that happen. "You're not wrong. I can do it. It was just one innocent human,"

"I know you've never taken a life before. I brought you because you're talented. Maybe the fastest and strongest of any of us. But it takes more than that. There's an instinct. A moment of truth. And at that moment, you hesitated," Runaan turned to him with a furious expression.

"But I won't hesitate again," Raylan refused to give up. "I can kill the king and his children to take revenge,"

Runaan sighed. "Before we left, Ethari told me you were too good-hearted to be an assassin. He was right. You're still just a child. Your heart just isn't hard enough to do whatever it takes,"

Ridding himself of the look of shame, Raylan looked back at him in anger. "I'm not a child anymore. Yes, I messed up. But how was it right to kill an innocent human? How does killing the innocent make us any different from them?"

"That girl was a human,"

"And so because of that, I had to kill her? My mother always said not to judge people by what they are," his words were unconvincing. "You have to let me make it right,"

"I'm sorry but it's too late for that,"

Raylan tensed up. "But I bound myself to this mission," he showed him his wrist and forearm bindings. "My heart for…."

Runaan interrupted. "You'll be unbound when the job is done. Your role now is to stay out of the way," he pointed to a rock. "You will wait here quietly,"

Raylan growled and sat on the rock, turning his back. Runaan sighed, letting go of his anger for just a moment. "I'm sorry but if you can't someone, that puts you in danger. This is for your own good," Raylan didn't say anything. "If we're not back by sunrise, go home,"

He walked away. After a short distance, he looked back at his surrogate son and sighed. He didn't want to do this but he had promised Raylan's parents he would protect him with his life. With what happened today, he could not allow him to come on this mission. The other assassins regrouped with him.

"Where's that coward?" Andromeda demanded.

"He's staying here," said Runaan.

Skor boiled up. "He should be killed,"

"Being disavowed from this mission is enough. Now it's time to do what we came here to do," Runaan ordered. He took one last look in the direction where Raylan was sitting and closed his eyes. He then led the assassins through the forest towards the castle.

Raylan hung his head. He felt like he had disappointed his parents. This was supposed to be his chance to restore their honour, to show everyone that their family weren't cowards. But he had failed. All because he couldn't kill that girl. His fist clenched thinking of her. He had spared her life and yet she had given him and his party away. "I can fix this," Anger became an ambition. "I will fix this. I will kill them," he sprinted off into the trees, determined to restore his family's honour. And he was not going to fail a second time.

Caroline walked into the library to find some books for the trip. Every second she worried about her dad. But she was more upset about her fight with her siblings. She hated to seem like she was being bossy. Since their mother died nearly ten years ago, she had worked so hard to take care of them in her place. But often at times, she felt like she was letting them down. She wiped a tear away.

"Hey…" Claudia approached her. "You okay?"

Caroline wiped her face and nodded. "I take it you heard about everything,"

Claudia nodded. "You could come with us if you want,"

"I wish I could but my father will need me. Before you go, I need to give this back to you," she showed the Primal Stone that Caroline had been searching for. "My father said your dad wanted me to look at this. But it belongs to you," she handed it over.

"Thank you," she said. She stashed it in her bag.

"Where did you get it?"

"Caldor gave it to me. He said it was left for me by my mother,"

"That's so sweet," she said.

"I actually used it to escape from the elves,"

Claudia became more surprised. "How? What spell did you use?"

"I used the wind spell-Aspiro. At first, after he gave it to me, I couldn't do a spell. But then I was surrounded by elves and I thought this was my only chance to escape. The spell worked and I managed to get away,"

"That's incredible Caroline," Claudia high-fived her. "Maybe you could be a mage,"

Caroline thought for a second. "I suppose so,"

"Come on Carol. You're always been interested in magic," motivated Claudia. "You can learn some really cool spells,"

Caroline was about to speak when they heard sniggering. To the girls' irritation, it was Soren. "Oh please, the step princess a mage?"

"Stop calling me that Soren," Caroline clenched her fist. Felix at her feet growled. "Don't you have stable duties to do?"

"Just go Soren before you make things worse," Claudia said bitterly.

Soren completely ignored her. "I'm quite surprised the king's relying on you to take care of your siblings. I heard everything between them. Sounds like you're doing a terrible job,"

Caroline couldn't take it anymore. She marched right up at him. "Why are you so horrible to me? Why do you make it your goal to make my life a misery?" Before Soren could speak again, she pointed a finger under his chin. "My dad loves me just the way I am. And I don't have to be everything that you and everyone else say I should be,"

Soren tried to speak again but the presence of the king made him shudder and quickly walk off before he could get extra community service. "Might I talk to you alone Carol?" he requested his daughter.

She nodded and waved to Claudia, following him out of the library

Raylan leapt through the trees watching the sunset in the distance. It would be night soon and he had to make things right. Not just for his family. But for himself too. He heard speaking and peered down to see two guards conversing.

"Yesterday, I had two eggs for breakfast and I was starving. Today, I had four eggs and I'm stuffed" the male guard rubbed his belly. So, tomorrow—"

The female guard huffed. "Three eggs. I get it. We don't need to talk,"

The male guard was disappointed. "I was going to say two eggs and one sausage,"

Raylan rolled his eyes. He kept leaping through the trees. He leapt to the ground and found himself on the riverbank of the river that separated him from the towering cliff walls.. He looked up and saw Katolis castle standing high up. He shut his eyes for a moment. Then he inhaled sharply and exhaled with determination. He reached into his knapsack strapped to his back and pulled out a rope with a hook. Lassoing the hook with one hand whilst keeping the bundles of rope in the other, he sprinted forward jumped over the river and threw the hook. It pierced between the bricks and he swung against the wall and then scaled upwards.

Caroline entered the meeting room with her dad. "Dad, I really think it's time to tell Ezran and Willow what's going on. I can't bear to keep this secret any longer. I had a terrible fight with them. Ez accused me of being bossy. And I think maybe he was right,"

"It's not always easy with siblings," Harrow advised. "But he and Willow are so lucky to have you. You've always looked out for them in times when I couldn't. And whenever I couldn't find the right words to say to them in times of difficulty, it was always you who pulled them through. They'll need you more than ever. I need you to take this," Harrow handed her a scroll with a red seal. She examined it. "You'll understand in time. I want you the seal when…" he sighed. "You know when,"

Carol quivered and shook her head. "No. No. Don't say that,"

"Everything important has been written down. Read it when the time is right,"

"No, dad. Please don't say that. You're not going to die," she was beginning to cry.

"War is full of uncertainties,"

"Then do something about it. Try to talk to the elves when they come. Tell me you're innocent,"

"Carol, if they didn't believe you, they won't believe me. What proof do we have? And making peace is not as simple as you think,"

"Well, you don't wanna die. The elves and dragons don't wanna die. How simple can it not be?"

"There are centuries of history. Generations of wrongs and crimes. On both sides. I may not have killed the king of the dragons or destroyed his heir, but I am responsible for some of those wrongs. I have done terrible things. I thought they were necessary. Now, I don't know. But I do know I will pay the price for the choices I made,"

"There has to be a way to make it right. That has to be a way to stop this cycle," Since childhood Caroline was full of hope that somehow the lands of Xadia and the human kingdoms could coexist. They were not two different worlds. They were two different lands in one world. "You're the king. You have the power to make a difference,"

Harrow sighed and chuckled. "The great illusion of childhood is that adults have all the power and freedom. But the truth is the opposite. A child is freer than a king. And a special girl like you has the power to make a difference whether noble or not,"

Caroline looked at the letter in her hand. Then clenched it in her fist. "I'm going to give this back to you. We're all going to come back to you. And everything you've written down you can say yourself,"

Uncertain but unafraid, Harrow embraced her once more. "Take care of your siblings,"

"I will. I won't let you down,"

"I'm so proud of you," his words gave Caroline the enthusiasm to see that the fact she wasn't like other people was the reason he was proud of her. Everything he had told her before was sincerely true; he loved her exactly for who she was. "I love you," a tear fell down her face. As they let go, he wiped it away. "Now go,"

Carol hugged him again. "I love you too dad," she slowly let him go and picked up Felix and walked slowly out of the door turning back where she saw her dad giving her an encouraging smile. She tearfully smiled back and walked through.

Raylan reached the top of the cliff and panted in exhaustion. He took a sip of water from his canteen and then stood up again. He looked up and saw he only had a castle wall to climb. He looked out towards the forest floors standing far below him. He furrowed his eyebrows. It's not too late to turn back. A voice in his head told him. But another voice, loud and more persuasive said. Come on. This is your chance to restore your family's honour. Hie furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm sorry Runaan but I'm going to prove you wrong. I can do this," he looked up to the top of the castle walls about 20 meters high. "I will do this,"

He pulled his hood over his head and short horns and with a simple strong throw, he lassoed one of the wall's crenulations and climbed up. Before pulling himself up onto the castle wall, he pepped around to see if there were any guards; the coast was clear. He pushed himself up onto the solid stone surface, stashed his lasso rope and pulled out his blade from behind his jacket. Furrowing his eyebrows more menacingly, he proceeded into the castle.

Harrow stood by the fire, staring at a painting, Carol did for him for his birthday once. It was a painting of the four of them having fun in the snow at the Banther Lodge. He loved her paintings; to him, she was the most amazing artist in the kingdom.

"King Harrow," Viren walked inside. "You said you wanted to see me,"

Hearing the dark mage's voice made Harrow clench his fist. He placed the painting above the fireplace. "I want to talk to you Viren,"

"If it's about the Moonshadow elf invasion? I humbly apologise that Soren couldn't find it. I know he's not a member of the crown guard anymore…but you can't hold him and my solution responsible…"

"I want to look me in the eye…" Harrow turned around. "And tell me why you betrayed Katolis and killed the king of the dragons and destroyed his egg,"

Viren's heartbeat accelerated when he saw Harrow's red face.

Caroline walked to Ez and Willow's bedroom. "Guys! It's time to go now," she knocked. "I hate that we're leaving but we need to," There was no response. "Guys.." she pushed it open but to her shock, it wasn't open. "Guys?" Felix sniffed around. He sadly shook his head. "Oh my gosh," she saw the sun already half-cut by the horizon just beyond the forest through the clear glass of the window. "We have to hurry Felix," They dashed through the hallways, looking for the two children and Bait.

Raylan sneaked through the castle hallways, looking for the king and his children. He wondered if he would see that girl again. He remembered her saying that the royals were her family. Was she adopted? Would that mean he would have to kill her too? He saw no guards or servants. It was almost like they had all gathered in one place to protect the family thanks to his inability to kill the runaway girl with the primal stone. He wondered if perhaps he would have the guts to kill her this time. That's when he heard her voice.

"Ez? Willow? Where are you?" it was her. Her voice was frantic. It meant that the two children had disappeared. "Please, guys. I'm sorry about our fight earlier but this is serious now,"

Peeking around the corner, Raylan saw her. Alive. And her fox too. She carried her satchel and knapsack over her blue cloak with a hood. It looked like she had prepared for a long trip. To get them away. Raylan's eyes narrowed. He followed behind her, staying invisible to her senses. And the fox too. He remembered how its scent of smell had tracked his party down earlier. He was going to kill them both for giving him away though he had spared their lives. He pulled a blade out.

Felix's eyes twitched. He ducked behind a knight's armour set.

"You know you two can't sneak up on me," Caroline turned around but she gasped to see Raylan's sword point right at her. He pulled back his hood, staring into her green, emerald eyes with his menacing purple irises. "You?" she breathed. Felix growled. "What are you doing here?"

"Are that dumb? I'm here to avenge Xadia for its losses by killing the king and his children,"

"I'm going to say this one more time elf. My dad and my siblings had nothing to do with what happened to the king of the dragons and his egg," she flinched again feeling the tip of his blade closing closer to her.

"Don't even think of using your primal stone to blow me away," he warned.

Caroline stood unafraid. "You know that this is wrong,"

"An assassin doesn't decide right and wrong, only life and death,"

"Then why did you spare my life back there? I saw it in your eyes. You're not a killer,"

"You don't know anything about me human!" shouted Raylan.

During the confrontation, Ezran and Willow came out from a secret passageway behind a painting. When they heard voices, Bait growled. Ezran pressed his hand over his fat. "Shush," he gently stepped out. Willow followed him. He tried to whisper to her to go back but she shook her head. Huffing quietly, using sign language, he told her to be quiet and she nodded.

"I might not know you…" Caroline spoke again to Raylan, her voice expressing truth and wisdom. "But what I do know is that if you take the lives of my family, Katolis will get revenge against Xadia. What good comes out of killing people who've done nothing wrong to you?"

As she spoke, three heads poked out from behind a corner. Ezran, Willow, and Bait. Willow nearly gasped out loud but Ezran covered her mouth. Still, they watched in fear as the elf closed in on their sister.

"I've had enough of hearing your pathetic words," Raylan spat. "Now, tell me where the children are!" she pointed his blade right under her chin.

"Never," Caroline declared.

"I won't hesitate to kill you this time," he warned.

"You don't have it in you," she said bravely.

"Watch me," Raylan raised his blade but Caroline saw the bottom of his eye twitch. She knew she was right. Unfortunately, her siblings didn't.

Willow broke free from Ezran and shouted, "Leave our sister alone!"

Raylan turned around and saw his targets. They quivered.

Using the distraction, Felix leapt up and bit Raylan's arm. He screamed in pain before grabbing him by the tail and tossing him to the floor. Quickly Caroline pulled out her primal stone and drew an insignia in the air.

Fog filled the hallways. "Run guys!"

Ezran grabbed Bait and Willow's hand and they dashed out.

Raylan couldn't see anything in the fog. He suddenly felt something hard bash in the head. He fell to the floor dropping his blades. But he growled and punched the floor with his fist determined not to give up.

"I did a great service for your kingdom Harrow," Viren defended his act of treason.

"Did you not think of what would happen?!" Harrow exploded. "Elves have come to this kingdom to kill me because of you. Caroline could have been killed because of you. Ezran and Willow's lives are in danger because of you,"

"Why didn't you want that dragon dead? After how he took away your queen? Your wife?"

Harrow shivered to hear him speak of his love: Queen Sarai, his children's mother. "I did want him dead," he said gently, shutting his eyes. When he opened them again, his anger re-sparked. "But I didn't want to provoke Xadia to attack back, which is what you have done. Your act of killing him didn't achieve anything! When you went off away on your journey after I chose not to take revenge, I trusted you to stay away from Xadia, but you defied me,"

"Your majesty, I can fix this,"

"I am done with your 'creative solutions'," Harrow silenced him. "Your dark magic is what started all of this. You claim it solves our problems when in truth it makes things worse,"

Viren scoffed. "It's clever. It's brilliant. It's practical. It will save your life and many, many others,"

"No," Harrow refused.

Viren fumed in rage. "You're acting stubborn and ungrateful,"

"Should I be grateful that you destroyed that dragon's egg? Thank you for starting this unwinnable war. Thank you for angering the dragons and the elves so much that tonight they are here for my life." Harrow had never been more frustrated than he had ever been. "Your actions put my family in danger,"

"Destroying that egg saved our kingdom. Maybe all of humanity,"

Harrow realised his voice, refusing to allow Viren to talk to him this way. "It was an egg!" As much as Harrow despised the king of the dragons they deemed Thunder, killing an innocent creature was by no means a just cause.

Viren rose his voice higher. "And it would have become the most powerful creature in the world!"

Harrow turned away wordlessly. He was silent for a second but then spoke again. When Caroline once spoke to me of how dark magic wasn't a good course, I should have heeded her advice and stepped you down," Viren frowned. "As of today, you are no longer the high mage of Katolis. You will lay down your staff and leave this kingdom and never return,"

Viren was shocked. "But my children,"

"They will stay here so they won't be influenced by your selfish decisions. I know that you allow Soren to torment Caroline and that Claudia's use of that magic will only lead her on a dark path like you,"

"How dare you ungratefully send me away," spat Viren.

"Get out!" Harrow ordered aggressively.

Viren turned away slowly and walked off.

Ezran and Willow dodged into some lower corridors. Ezran panted carrying Bait. He looked back. "Where's Caroline?" he panicked. "She isn't behind us!"

"Here I am!" a voice called. Carol came running out of a side corridor carrying Felix.

"You're safe," Willow cried for joy.

Ezran was relieved but felt guilty for what he said earlier. "Carol, I am so sorry for what I…"

"Less talking more running!" she urged.

"How did you do that?' Willow asked curiously.

"Really? You both wanna talk about that now?" she asked irritably.

Before the running argument could continue, they heard footsteps far behind them. Carol turned back to see the white-haired elf bounding after them. He was getting closer. He was so fast. He raised his blades. The kids' eyes widened. Caroline suddenly saw a hanging tapestry. She suddenly stopped and grabbed the folds pulled it hard and the heavy piece of textile art fell on Raylan, saving her siblings. "This isn't gonna hold him long!"

"This way!" Ezran led them through a wooden door.

Raylan growled under the tapestry work. He pierced his swords through the heavy material and spinning around, slashed it to shreds. He stood up and couldn't see the royal children up ahead. He dashed forward, determined not to lose them. He dashed to the end of the hallways. He stared around. He saw a wooden door, just slightly open, with a stain on the metal handle. He pushed it open. He saw a staircase leading down into a dark cellar, lit only by braziers. He bounded down. The chase wasn't over let. "You're only making this worse!" he called down.

Ezran led his sisters and their animals through the dungeon corridors, panting heavily. Raylan's voice echoed against the reflective walls. "This way," He ran left but all the girls saw was a dead end.

"Just great," Willow moaned. "You've led us to a dead end,"

Ezran smirked. "Just watch," he began pressing the stone tiles in a certain order. "Rock, rock, stone, rock, stone, stone. Rock, stone, rock, stone, stone..."

Willow rolled her eyes. "Why aren't you taking this seriously? An assassin nearly killed our sister and he's tried to kill us,"

Ezran clenched his fist in frustration. "Ugh! You made me do stone instead of rock," he began again. " "Rock, rock, stone, rock, stone, stone, rock, stone, rock,"

"Just using your spells," Willow said.

"I don't know every useful spell," Caroline said. "It's not like I memorized them off my heart. But I'll do what I can," she pulled out her primal stone and stood firm, looking out for Raylan.

"There," Ezran smiled proudly as the wall pushed open, revealing a spiral staircase. "Quickly,"

The sisters followed after him with Felix and Bait. The wall door closed. They reached a room at the bottom of the stairs. They saw jars of creatures on shelves and creepy items that made Willow shiver and Felix too.

"What is this place?" Caroline asked.

"Don't know. I only just discovered it a few weeks. He'll never find us down here," they stood together and the siblings hugged Caroline.

"I can't believe he was going to kill you," Willow whimpered.

"He wasn't," Carol said.

"But he raised his sword…" said Ezran.

"He was hesitating. I saw it in his eyes,"

"Why would he hesitate?"

Carol looked at her brother with deep belief. "Because he spared my life before. He had the chance to kill me before; he didn't,"

"But why did he want to kill us?" Willow was desperate more than ever for an answer.

Caroline decided it was time to tell them. "The elves are here to take revenge. They think dad killed the king of the dragons and destroyed his egg,"

"But dad didn't do anything," said Ezran. Bait croaked in agreement.

"That's what I told them when they surrounded me. But they didn't believe me,"

"So they're here to kill us? And dad?" Willow turned pale. "That's why he wanted to send us away?"

"Dad is protected by his best guards. And he told me to take care of all of you," Caroline hugged them closing his eyes. Felix joined in. "I'm not going to let anything happen to any of you,"

"You saved us," said Willow. "You're amazing,"

They stayed quiet, holding onto each other tightly. That's when Caroline noticed something glowing on a pedestal in a corner under a white cloth. She saw a glimpse of rainbow lights. And she heard whimpers of something alive. "What is that?" she slowly let go of her siblings. They stared at her as she walked forward.

"Be careful Carol," begged Ezran. "That could be dangerous," Felix crooned in agreement.

Caroline approached the item, feeling a strange connection to it. She gently touched the cloth and pulled it off, releasing a spectrum of bright lights that made the siblings close their eyes. As they reopened them, they felt their lips part in shock and their irises enlarge. Caroline was the most shocked. "This…changes….everything,"

"I've got you right where I want," Raylan's menacing voice made everyone turn their faces. He stood at the bottom of the stairs. "The chase ends here,"

Willow picked up Felix and hugged him tightly. "How did you find us?"

"I just touched the stones with jelly tart stains,"

Willow growled at Ezran who laughed nervously. "You and your messy hands! Now we're trapped,"

Raylan gazed repulsively at the jars of creatures. "Runaan was right," he glared at them. "Humans are nothing but selfish creatures. Tonight you all die for Xadia," he stepped closer to the children.

"Wait! Stop!" cried Caroline. "Just stop! Please. Let me show you something,"

"Why? So you can wack me with your bag or use a spell on me?" Raylan dared.

"Please," she begged. "This will change your mind,"

Willow and Ezran with the animals shuffled back to her and she cradled the item she had unveiled under the cloth again. "Please,"

Raylan saw the innocent in her eyes again like in the forest. "Show me. Do anything…or they die,"

Caroline approached him slowly. Then holding up the item, pulled off the cloth again, showing a rainbow-coloured egg that glimmered.

Raylan's mouth dropped. His blades lowered. "That's…that's impossible," He did nothing but stare at the egg of the Dragon Prince with his wide purple eyes. His ambition for revenge dissolved. The Dragon Prince was alive. And that meant something. Hope.

That's another episode done. I hope you all enjoyed it. Please let me know what you all thought. I made a change in the confrontation between Viren and Harrow because I wanted to do something different. I hope you enjoyed Caroline and Raylan. And Caroline's desperate desire to protect her siblings. I hope you're all enjoying their characters. Also, Wildgirl6, if you think I should do the episode ghost a bit differently without Raylan being made into a ghost, do you want to send over some ideas? Hope to see you all soon at the next one.
