Writer's Cut-The Hypnotic Cult
This chapter didn't make the cut because the story needed to flow with fewer filters. However, it is an excellent time to share. It takes place during XANA's goal to destroy the Core of Lyoko.
Mathias and Theo were walking to class together. "I needed that coffee from Starlight Coins," Theo said. "You? I needed it; Ms. Hertz is giving us another exam," Mathias said. "Why?" "Payback for the year before. We were all slackers." Theo laughs. "Well, no time like the present." On the way, the boys come across a Hypno. "Whoa, you know, I always wanted to catch a Hypno," Mathias said. Hypno waves its coin, and the boys look sleepy. Hypno smiles. Then they ran away.
In science class, Ms. Hertz takes attendance. "Mathias Burrel! He will have to answer to me in detention!" Ms. Hertz states. "Boy, Mathis is a dead man walking," William said. "Right, like I hope he has an excuse," Anias said. Yumi shakes her head and sees Rocky looking at his phone. "What are you watching?" "A bunch of children has gone missing in the past few days," Rocky said. "How?" "Something about music and rainbow flashes." Yumi gulps as Ms. Hertz slams the exam on the table. "Phones off!" She commands. Rocky turns off his phone. "What is this?" "Didn't you study? Too bad!" Ms. Hertz chuckles. After class, Yumi meets up with her friends. "Theo didn't come to class," Jeremy said. "Jim was mad as fuck," Brock said. "I know that he and Mathias went to Starlight Coins, but Sissi saw them on campus," Allison said. Ulrich looks at the news. "Do you think they could be part of the missing children?" "I hope not. The children started to act weird around the time they disappeared," Aelita said. Yumi looks worried. "What's wrong?" Ash asks. "Mathias is missing as well." "I have a strange feeling that XANA is involved," Odd said. "I thought so, but there is no activated tower," Jeremy said. "Well, maybe we can retrace their steps after class," Dawn said. The group agrees. Around lunch, Ulrich notices that William and Sissi run towards the gate. "Where are they going?" Ulrich follows them, but Hypno stops him. "A Hypno?" Hypno waves the coin in Ulrich's face, but he runs. Hypno uses Psychic. "Hey, put me down!" Hypno laughs and uses Hypnosis. Ulrich starts to catch like his Gardevior and runs away. He catches up to Sissi, who acts like a Snivy, and William, who acts like his Orbeetle. Hypno laughs, and the eye of XANA flashes in its eye.
Odd listens to music when he sees Hiroki and Johnny running towards the gates. "Whoa, Yumi's going to be mad," Odd said. He tried to catch up with them when he saw Ulrich. "Ulrich!" Odd calls out. He caught up to Ulrich and noticed that he was zoned out. "Do you not hear me? I know I put onions in your hot chocolate but come on, good buddy." Ulrich runs away. Odd notices that other neighborhood students and children are zoned out and acting like Pokemon. "I need to call Jeremy." Odd call Jeremy, who is eating lunch with the others. "Odd, where are you? Where's Ulrich?" "Ulrich and others students are possessed. I think?" Jeremy checks his laptop. "Odd's on a diet?" Yumi chuckles. "XANA has activated a tower in the Ice Sector." "What is happening?" Ash asks. "Odd said that Ulrich and other children are possessed." "XANA can't possess Ulrich," Brock said. "Which means XANA came up with something good," Dawn said. "I'll help Odd," Ash said. "Me too," Brock said. "Good. It's girls' day on Lyoko," Allison said. "With a big, strong man to protect you," Jeremy said. The group laughs at Jeremy. Ash and Brock meet up with Odd. "What is going on?" Brock asks. "I see everyone is going into town," Odd said. "We should follow," Aah said. Meanwhile, Jeremy checks the supercomputer to see if there is more on the news. "Go back to that story," Aelita said. Jeremy plays the video. "We are live downtown where children have gone missing all day. Many witnesses have reported that there were rainbow waves and chanting." "Weird," Yumi said. "I am seeing two videos of children wandering off. However, the recorders have ceased to exist." "Or fell victim to the missing," Allison said. Jeremy plays one of the videos. "Is that a Hypno?" Yumi asks. The video shows the Hypno spinning its coin, and two children act like Politoed and runoff. Allison and Dawn noticed Jeremy was in a trance and turned off the video. "Jeremy?" Dawn calls out. "What?" Jeremy response. Allison zooms into the video. "See that?" Aelita looks closer. "Hypno is possessed and is hypnotizing children," she said. "I think I was about to be hypnotized," Jeremy said. Yumi calls Odd. "Odd, we discovered it is a Hypno possessed by XANA." "We can see that. We are heading further into town. Can Jeremy track Ulrich's cellphone?" Jeremy does. "They are heading for the nuclear power plant," Jeremy said. "What?" Ash expressed. "Why the power plant?" "I don't know, but if XANA is heading there, we need to be prepared," Brock said. "Gengar, come out," Ash said. "Sudowoodo, come out," Brock commands. "Houndoom, come out," Odd said. "Dark and Ghost are the strongest against Hypno," Odd said. "Sudoowoodo can use Mimic," Brock said. "Okay, we have a plan," Ash said.
On Lyoko, the ladies head for the tower. "Three krabs are waiting for you," Jeremy said. "Thanks. We didn't need a welcoming committee," Yumi said. Yumi drops Aelita off by a glacier while Dawn and Allison fight the krabs. "Does Ulrich mind that you are using the Overbike?" Dawn asks. "Ulrich does, but I don't care," Allison said. Allison makes a plasma sword and knocks a krab down to its head. Dawn uses her poi stick to strike the krab on the head. "One down," Dawn said. Yumi flies down and uses her fans to slice the krab. "Two down," Yumi said. Allison makes a javelin stick and throws it at the third krab. "Three strikes, you're out!" Allison said. At the same time, the boys see all of the missing children acting like their Pokemon and throwing things around the plant. "If this keeps up, there is going to be a disaster," Odd said. Hypno appears and tries to Hypnotize the boys. Gengar blocks it. "Use Shadow Ball," Ash commands. Shadow Ball makes contact with Hypno. Hypno uses Confusion. "Dodge it," Odd commands Houndoom. Houndoom moves out of the way. "Use, Crunch!" Crunch hits Hypno. "Sudowoodo, use Mimic!" Brock command. Sudowoodo mimics Crunch. Hypno changes tactics. He sends Ulrich, William, and Theo after the boys. "Ulrich! It's us," Odd shouts. Ulrich attacks Odd, while Hypno attacks Houndoom. Gengar and Sudowoodo are defending Ash and Brock from William and Theo. "We need another plan," Ash said as Gardevior came out of her Pokeball. She uses Psychic to fight back against Hypno. Ulrich looks at Gardevior. "Ulrich, wake the fuck up!" Odd said as he got up. "Houndoom! Gengar! Use Shadow Ball on Hypno!" Ash and Odd command. "Sudowoodo, use Mimic," Brock commands. The moves knock Hypno to the ground as Aelita de-activates the tower. "It looks like everything is okay," Brock said. Aelita leaves the tower on Lyoko, and the Scyphozoa is waiting for her. "Ahh!" Aelita screams. The girls run to her aid, but two hornets knock out Yumi and Allison. "Jeremy, Allison, and Yumi lost their life points," Dawn said. When Dawn breaks the Scyphozoa's connection to Aelita, Aelita attacks Dawn. Aelita runs, and Dawn chases after her on the Overboard. "Jeremy, what is going on?" Odd asks when he calls. "The Scyphozoa possessed Aelita," Jeremy said. "Well, some machines at the plant are starting to spark," Ash said. "My head," Ulrich said. "You all need to leave; in case Dawn doesn't stop Aelita in time." All the children wake up and try to leave, but the gates are locked. "The gates are broken," Johnny said. "XABA has trapped us," Brock said. "What is going on?" Yumi asks. "Aelita is en route to a way tower, and everyone is trapped on the nuclear plant grounds," Jeremy said. "If XANA used Hypno, can Gardevior do something?" Allison asks. "I think so. What is going on?" Ulrich asks. The boys quickly fill Ulrich in. "Okay, Gardevior, use Psychic to break the lock." Gardevior uses Psychics, but the hold is firm. "Come on. You can do it!" "Sudowoodo, Mimic," Brock commands. Sudowoodo follows suit. Other children who have Psychic Pokemon helped as well. Dawn is close to Aelita. "Stop! Our friends are in danger!" Dawn cries out. "You are endangering my plan!" Aelita said. "Such a comeback. Quaduplile," Daqn said. She copies surrounds Aelita. "Attack!" Dawn shouts as the gates of the plant are broken. "Run away!" Odd and Ash shout as an explosion happens. "Return to the past, now!" Jeremy shouts.
At the start of the day, Theo and Mathias see Hypno on campus. "I should catch it," Mathias said. "Wait, I think it needs to be left alone," Odd said. "Why?" "Look," Ash said. Hypno brings out a small Abra and a small Drowzee. "It looks like it's their teacher," Theo said. "That's right. Let's leave it alone," Brock said. Mathias nods. "Well, then, since Odd was the one who stopped me. He owes me a double caramel cappuccino." "What!" Odd exclaims. The boys laugh.
