Tenchi & Tsunami Immortally
Stood the Night Statue
Beneath a folding leave's shield
Blossoms hid in the stars' light;
A lonely sword under misty sky
Pondered the breeze this night;
Held the sword, the stone hand
While he waited amidst silence;
Above, falling raindrops recalled
How so far a wind came thence;
How it flew by like a daydream
When she passed by, that day;
Much to a face yet so strange;
Her hair drifted that easy way;
Faint of rain darkened the sky;
Alone with the shadow of cold,
Rippled a pond of mercury blue;
This story of the heart he told;
Away she soon went and forgot,
What could be said nevertheless;
All that was, the whistling wind;
Air was, but a trail to emptiness;
Her presence distilled, a memory;
Should he find a way to the past,
To the time when he never forgot,
To the place he left his heart last;
There they would be side by side,
As if it were in dreams' beginning,
Forever in destiny they wandered
That part, a story's merry ending.
