This chapter has an event that may be a trigger for some people. I will put up a trigger warning before and after it happens so that anyone can skip it if they want. At the end of the incident I will have a glossed over version so if you skip it you won't be completely lost in this chapter. Anyone who has gone through this I am sorry that it has happened to you. I have no personal experience in this so I am just going on with what I have seen in documentaries and such, so things may not be realistic or possible. I apologize now if I offend anybody it is not my intention.

A month had gone by since Sylvester had started working at Scorpion and things have been going great. With his math and memory skills it has opened up new jobs available and with his skills on computer coding assisting Walter Scorpion had been very successful. Personally things were even better Sly and Megan were moving along in their relationship. Walter had finally come to the conclusion that the feelings he had for Paige and Ralph he couldn't ignore and Megan had told him that if he didn't move forward someone else might come in and start something with Paige and he could lose the best things to ever happen to him. Walter could not stand to see that happen so he had asked Paige out on a date which started their relationship. Paige and Megan had fast become best friends. Walter and Sly had in essence become brothers, they would constantly challenge each other to rubix cube races and were trying to create more and more difficult equations for Ralph and Ralph would look at them like they were 2+2. Both Walter and Sly had come to the conclusion that Ralph's IQ was in the 205-215 range. Abigail had pretty much imprinted on Ralph and would follow him everywhere. Ralph had stepped into the big brother roll and was very protective over Abigail.

The team had just gotten through a busy week so the fact that today was slow was good. It gave everyone the chance to work on some personal projects. It was late morning when Paige announced that she was going to the store to restock the fridge and cabinets. She drove the 20 minutes to the store did all her shopping and was on her way to return the cart to the store after she loaded up her car.

After she put her cart back she turned and noticed 4 men were coming towards her very quickly and before she had a chance to scream for help, they grabbed her and carried her around the corner down the alley. Once they were far enough back they put a gag around her mouth and started saying some very inappropriate and crude things to her. She fought and struggled as hard as she could but there were too many men and too strong for her to fight off. Dread flew to her mind as she knew what was soon going to happen when all of a sudden a small Asian lady came out of nowhere.

She was so quick and graceful that she danced around the men and 1 by 1 the all started to scream and fall to the ground. Before Paige knew what had fully happened 1 man was holding his arm by his side another was holding his leg, 1 was holding his face and the last 1 was holding his groin. All of them had blood pouring from various wounds. The men's screaming had called attention and the police ran into the alley. At first the good Samaritan was put in handcuffs but after a few minutes of explaining what happened she was released. Her and Paige were sent by ambulance to the hospital for Paige to get checked out while the men were sent to the hospital to get fixed up and arrested.

At the hospital Paige was checked over and aside from some bruises on her arms legs and torso she had gotten lucky that the attack had not gone any farther. She was in shock but was able to say she wanted her boyfriend Walter. The Samaritan took Paige's phone and found Walter's contact information and placed the call.

Back at the garage everyone had gravitated to the tv but Walter who was getting worried because Paige should have been back by now. He had just got up to grab his keys to go find Paige when his phone rang and he saw it was Paige. "Paige, love is everything ok? What has gone on?" Walter asked panicking. "My name is Happy Quinn and I am at the hospital with Paige. She was attacked at the store and I helped her out. She is bruised up but nothing else happened to her." Replied Happy. "Oh my goodness! What hospital? I'm on my way!" Said Walter anxiously. "We are at Cedars Hospital in room 4380." Said Happy. Walter rushed to Sly and Megan and told them quickly but quietly where he was going and to watch the kids.

10 minutes later in a drive that should have been 25 minutes Walter was running to the hospital and up to Paige's room. As he burst in the door he saw an Asian woman take a defensive stance in front of Paige until Paige cried out "Walter!" And jumped in his arms.

As he was trying to not only calm Paige down but himself as well some police walked in to the room and called for some attention.

Policeman- "Happy Quinn you are under arrest for 4 counts of assault with a deadly weapon."

As the officer's partner walked over to Happy, Walter stood in between him and Happy and said "Excuse me! Happy Quinn saved my girlfriends life why is she being arrested? She should be applauded."

The first officer said "Well we have heard from the doctors and 1 man will be blind in 1 eye for the rest of his life another will probably never use 1 of his arms due to the amount of nerve damage. 1 looks like 1 of his legs may need to be amputated due to the severity of tissue and nerve and ligament damage and the last one needs major surgery to try and reattach a severed body part. She had escalated past defense to an assault on the men."

The whole time has he was describing things both Paige and Walter had been getting more and more shocked at what was being said and Happy just looked sheepishly down at the floor. Walter answered pretty heatedly "I don't care how severe their wounds are they attacked my girlfriend and with the intent to do much worse so I don't give a damn what you think she should not be arrested!"

"Walter. It's sucks but I'm ok with it as long as Paige is safe and those scum will hopefully think to never do this again, it's worth me getting arrested." said Happy as she put her hand on Walters shoulder then gave Paige a hug and whispered in her ear "I hope you are able to get through this and when I get out maybe we can meet up for coffee and get to know each other." To which Paige replied "Of course Happy. I can't wait to get to know you and thank you so much for everything."

Walter was pretty angry and said "This isn't right but when will she find out what her nail will be and when and where will it all take place?" The first officer gave Walter all the information he had and Walter went over to Happy and hugged her tightly and said "Thank you so much I owe you a debt that it will take me more than a lifetime to repay for what you have done." After that Happy was handcuffed and lead out of the hospital.

Paige and Walter arrived back at the garage to Ralph and Sly playing video games and Megan and Abigail at the table coloring. Everyone came up to find out what was wrong and Paige said "There were some men that said some inappropriate things to me at the store so I had to go to the police station to give them my statement just in case those men decide to cause some more trouble at another time." Ralph and Abigail accepted the explanation but Sly and Megan looked at Walter and he subtly shook his head no which had ended the conversation.

Paige to her credit carried on the rest of the night like nothing had happened and made dinner for everyone and Walter did everything he could to play along but the other adults could sense something was of with him. Later when Sly and Megan left and Abigail and Ralph were asleep in their rooms Walter just held Paige while they both cried at what had happened and what could have happened.

The next day while Walter went to court, Paige was looking up self defense classes for her and Megan to enroll in because 1 she was going to do everything she could to never be in that position again and 2 she didn't want Megan to have to possibly go through it. Where the kids were at school Paige explained what happened to Sly and Megan.

After a few hours and having a judge who commended Happy for what she did all charges were dropped and on the way back to the garage Walter and Happy had a long talk about everything that had gone on and about each other's lives growing up.

Once they walked into the garage Paige rushed over to give Happy a hug and Walter introduced everyone to Happy and introduced everyone to the newest employee of Scorpion Happy the engineer.
