INT. SHERIFF'S VEHICLE

DOCTOR REGINA MORGAN and SHERIFF WALTER THORNE sit inside the vehicle. Dr. Morgan looks like a stern, no nonsense sort of woman. Sheriff Thorne is an older man with gray hair and a gray mustache.

The sheriff is going on a rant about how Haddonfield is going to get a bad name again, how bad it was after '78 babysitter murders. Dr. Morgan is hardly listening to him. She's waited so long to be given charge over the Myers case. All it took was a little escape and killing spree, and Dr. Hartley had been fired from the case. Now she was in charge and she had very… different ideas on how to handle Michael.

Sheriff Thorne looks over at the doctor, finally realizing that he's been doing all of the talking, how little she has said.

THORNE

Are you okay over there? You're being kind of quiet.

DR. MORGAN

Oh, I'm just fine. Just thinking about this case.

Dr. Morgan smiles. Sheriff Thorne looks back to the road. Something about the doctor's smile had come off as almost sinister. He shivers. Something about her whole demeanor just didn't sit right with him. Hopefully they would find and detain Myers soon and both of them would get the hell out of Haddonfield. He could only hope.

EXT. RAYNE RESIDENCE

There is still a large police presence at the home where a massacre had taken place. There's also paramedics, a coroner, and the fire crew all on scene. Across the street, citizens have gathered into a decent sized crowd. Among them are the parents of deceased Logan Underwood, DONNA & MARTY UNDERWOOD, and the mother of the deceased Kat Daniels, JENNY DANIELS. Both of them had come to the home shortly after hearing the news of what had taken place. They all knew that their beloved children had been there for a Halloween party.

Donna dabs at her eyes with a tissue. She is clearly torn all to pieces over this. Marty is barely holding it together, but he's trying his best to do so for his wife. Jenny stands with her arms folded across her chest, trying to figure out what's happening across the street. So far they've taken Casey Evans to the hospital. But no word on any of the others. This is all of their worst nightmares.

DONNA

How long do they plan to keep us waiting? (sobs)

Marty places an arm on Donna's back, trying to comfort her. He pulls her into an embrace and she begins to sob uncontrollably into his chest.

JENNY

This is a load of horseshit. I'm going over there to find out what the fuck is going on.

Jenny is just like her daughter, Kat, a very no-bull shit kind of woman. Hella country. She's wearing a white tank top, daisy dukes, and cowgirl boots. Her sandy-brown-going-gray-at-the roots hair is pulled back in a ponytail. Donna is the polar opposite of Jenny, her hair is done perfectly, dyed red. No gray whatsoever. She wears nice clothes and is more put together looking. Marty isn't as put together as Donna, but he still would win out over Jenny. He's got short gray hair and a goatee.

Jenny is about to storm across the street when the crowd grows from silent to an uproar. This stops Jenny in her tracks. Donna looks up from Marty's chest, wiping at her eyes again.

Across the street, paramedics have rolled someone out on a stretcher. Someone not in a body bag. But with all of the police, paramedics, and fire crew, it's hard to see who it might be from across the street. They load the survivor into the back of an ambulance and speed off, sirens blaring.

All the while, Donna, Marty, and Jenny are trying to fight their way through the crowd, screaming and crying. Jenny finally breaks through the crowd and runs across the street. Donna and Marty are not far behind. Jenny stops the first officer she comes across.

JENNY

Who did they just take away in the ambulance?

OFFICER

Ma'am, you're going to have to get back on the other side of the street. This is a crime scene.

JENNY
Jesus Christ. Look, we've been standing over there forever, knowing that our kids are in that damned house. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH OUR KIDS?!

Jenny has lost her temper. Donna places a hand on her shoulder, which she shoves off quickly.

JENNY

I'm not looking for comfort right now. I want some God damned answers.

OFFICER

I can't release the name of who they took in the ambulance. Why don't the three of you head on over to Haddonfield Memorial and wait for some updates there?

Donna and Marty share a look. Jenny rolls her eyes, turning and walking away, muttering obscenities under her breath the whole time. Donna and Marty follow her. The three of them agree to head over together. The worst night of their lives is only going to get worse.

EXT. MYERS HOUSE- FRONT LAWN

[CAMERA PANS DOWN FROM THE SKY TO THE MYERS HOME]

Dr. JAMES HARTLEY is standing in the front yard, looking up at the dilapidated home of Michael Myers. He's already been inside, hoping to have found Myers inside. Surely this is where he would come to recuperate from all the injuries he had sustained earlier that night. But so far… no such luck.

Dr. Hartley is furious. He had been informed earlier that he was off of the Myers case by Dr. Morgan. How could they do this to him? He had been on with Myers for so many years, he had even worked with the great Dr. Loomis before his unfortunate passing. No one understood Michael the way he did. He had little confidence in Dr. Morgan and her abilities to handle someone of Michael's caliber.

But… something else was bothering him. He had heard of her before. She was in a completely different division than he was. He couldn't quite place what exact department she was with, but he knew it was somewhere in his mind. Dr. Hartley shakes his head, her methods, if he remembers correctly, were… extreme.

INT. HADDONFIELD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL- EMERGENCY ROOM

CASEY EVANS lies in a hospital bed. She's sobbing hard. All of her friends… all dead. Nurse JOSH JONES and Dr. WHYTNEE WYATT stand over her bed, discussing treatment options. They've already cleaned her wounds and bandaged them up. Dr. Wyatt tells Josh what to do, Josh nods, and the two of them leave the room, flipping the lights off.

Casey lies in the dark room, whimpering. She's got a big bandage on her left cheek, one on her upper arm, her upper leg, and a cast on her right leg, which she broke when she jumped out of a second story window at Caleb's house, trying to get away from Michael Myers.

Michael. He had returned to Haddonfield. And he had murdered all of her friends. Brandi. Bree. Logan. Caleb. Kat. Jake and Krystal had also been in the house. He had murdered so many of her friends. And he was still out there somewhere.

Casey's eyes grow wide as she thinks about this. He was after her. He was going to be coming to the hospital soon, to finish what he started. She had to let the doctors know, he was coming… she couldn't fight him again, not like this. She cries harder. She tries to fight the tears back, to focus on what's important, alerting the doctors. They had to move her somewhere far away from here.

Slowly, she tries to sit up, but the pain is too much. She lets out a whimper and falls back against the pillows. She tries again and is equally unsuccessful. All of a sudden she's feeling super tired. She can hardly keep her eyes open. What's happening?

The doctor.

The doctor must have given her something to make her sleep. No! How could they do this? Michael is coming? Are they stupid? Now she won't be able to tell them, and she won't even be able to defend herself…

CASEY

H-help!

She's trying to scream but it comes out barely a whisper. She tries to sit up one last time, failing yet again. Slowly her eyes close, she's unconscious.

INT. HMH- HALLWAY

The other survivor of the massacre has just been rolled in on a stretcher. Dr. Wyatt and a female nurse rush over to them.

DR. WYATT

What do we have here?

EMT

Another survivor from the Myers murders tonight. This one's barely holding on.

Dr. Wyatt and the nurse look down at the patient. It's a boy with blonde hair. His eyes are closed. He has a huge cut on his face, starting from the bridge of his nose and going almost to his ear lobe. He has several stab wounds to the stomach and back. And one to the hand. It's CALEB RAYNE.

DR. WYATT

Take him to the O.R.! We've got to stop the bleeding and clean these wounds up. He may have a chance yet!

The nurse nods, rushing off to the operating room. Dr. Wyatt nods to the EMT.

DR. WYATT

Hell of a night.

EXT. HOSPITAL PARKING LOT

Donna, Marty, and Jenny have arrived at the hospital. They climb out of Marty's truck and begin walking towards the entrance. A cop car comes flying into the lot, parking right by the entrance, lights flashing. ISAAC RAYNE, Caleb's father, gets out of the vehicle and runs inside.

Jenny and Donna share a look.

INT. HOSPITAL

Isaac runs into the hospital, catching Dr. Wyatt before she heads for the O.R. He grabs her arm, she turns to face him.

ISAAC

You better save him, doc.

DR. WYATT

I'll do everything in my power. Now let go of me. Every second I'm not in there is a second your son doesn't have.

Isaac nods, letting her sleeve go. Dr. Wyatt disappears down the hall. Jenny, Donna, and Marty enter the building as Isaac sinks into a chair, head in his hands. Donna sits down beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

He looks up at her. A look of realization comes across his face. His son is alive, and her son is dead. Does she know? Probably not, considering how calm she seems to be. Does he tell her?

But just then, some EMTS roll a stretcher in with a body bag. The four parents watch. Jenny is the first to say anything.

JENNY

Who is that? Please, just fucking tell us.

The EMTS keep going. Jenny rolls her eyes and spews some more obscenities. Isaac knows now that he will have to tell them.

ISAAC

Caleb's in the operating room right now. Barely holding on.

JENNY

Thank God he's alive, Isaac. And I hate to take away from that, but do you know anything about our kids? They were all at your house, weren't they?

Isaac sighs, looking up at Jenny, and over at Donna and Marty, eyes full of sorrow. Donna slowly comes to a realization, a hand coming up to her mouth, which is open in an O of horror.

ISAAC (shakes head)

I'm… I'm so sorry…

Donna begins to scream gut wrenching sobs. Marty grabs a hold of her, pulling her up into an embrace. Jenny turns away from the group, putting a hand to her forehead. Tears run down her cheeks. Isaac continues to sit there, putting his head back into his hands.

A few moments later, a doctor comes down the hall, asking Donna and Marty to come with him. He needs them to ID their deceased son.

INT. THORNE'S VEHICLE

The sheriff and the doctor have ridden in silence for the last little bit. They've been driving around Haddonfield, trying to track down Michael. So far, they've had no luck. Until now.

A call comes through from dispatch over the radio. Police presence requested at the Quinn residence. Homicide.

Dr. Morgan looks over to Thorne, her eyes twinkling ominously.

DR. MORGAN

I think that's our guy, sheriff. Lets' get over there, now.

Sheriff Thorne nods, flipping on his lights. Hopefully they were about to catch up with Myers and finish this hellish night once and for all.
