Oh gosh, so here we go can't put this off any longer and can't keep re-reading it either. I so hope you will all love the conclusion to our Gateway Series.

I was looking at the dates and the first installment was posted in May of this year, which gosh, it means some of you have been dealing with my crazy self for about seven months! Always present in the comments, bookmarking, subscribing, or leaving kudos. I mean WOW all of us put together made about 405 comments for the whole 100k + series ❤️ and I am just so mind blown and grateful, because I never thought, well I never thought I could do that (well, we did that n.n all your feedback helped either strengthen this plot or give me the drive to continue so we could give our two lovers the story they deserved)

Ok, I'll stop myself now because there is more blabber at the end lol. There are a few time skips hope they are not too confusing. Let me know in the comments and I can always come back and re-edit for more clarity :)

Chapter 9: Full Circle

"It couldn't have been that bad" Gaara said with a smug smirk across from him.

"His dad invited his ex, and his mom invited his ex-friend with benefits," Naruto said, staring at the redhead as if daring him to tell him 'It really wasn't that bad' again.

"It was all over my feed," Gaara said as he took a sip from his coffee, "Thought you'd be happy, his exes were there but most of the conversation revolved on whether he'd ask you to marry him or not"

The redhead said it with a playful tone, but his hand gripped the cup. Naruto was his best friend now, that's just how things were, but every once in a while he felt a slight sense of loss at the realization that he couldn't have him. Having read the word marriage in every other article had definitely brought some feelings he thought he'd worked out to the surface.

"We're barely coming up on a year," the blonde said, a slight blush settling on his cheeks. Then his eyes shot back up to look at the redhead "Why are we always talking about my love life? Are you seeing anyone" He asked changing the subject.

The redhead rolled his eyes in response "What about Sai?" Naruto nudged with a smirk.

"He's a reporter" Gaara muttered not feeling the need to elaborate further

"Yes, he's a sly reporter but he's a good-looking sly reporter that very much wants in your pants"

"Itachi's right, you're absolutely relentless" Gaara knew bringing the raven up was a mistake the moment the blondes blue eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.

"So, you're talking to Itachi?"

"Not like that" Gaara replied kicking the blonde under the table.

"You sure? You two seemed to get along during thanksgiving" he said in a sing-song voice.

"He got along with everyone-including Shizune" Gaara replied easily, amused by Naruto's childish attitude. And barely suppressing the need to say that if he was so worried about his sex life he was welcome to fix it himself if only to see the blonde lose all his nonchalance and grow beet red.

"Afraid of a little competition?" Naruto asked

"You know I'm plenty sought after, right? Stop playing matchmaker"

The blonde let out a sigh "You are all too awesome to be single"

"Do you two work here? Or just show up to gossip?" Tsunade asked as she walked into the break room smiling fondly at the pair.

"So you're talking to Gaara?"

"Talking, not talking," Itachi said with a small smile as he reached over for plates so he could hand them over to the blonde.

"Mmmm, so then are you talking to Shizune?" The blonde replied with a smile of his own. The raven set the dishes down and ruffled the blonde's hair "Naru" He said with a soft voice and the blonde made a little noise in the back of his throat as the turned over to grab the plates from Itachi so he could start serving up the food.

But instead of reaching for the serving spoon he put the plates down and leaned against the stove, giving the raven a serious look "I just—I want you to be happy, I feel like you deserve it more than anyone"

"I am happy" He poked the blonde on the forehead with two fingers, before he leaned back on the counter, his head resting against the cabinets "I'm having fun, and I believe the right person will come along"

His gaze shifted back to the blonde "Just like you did in Sasuke's life, out of nowhere, unexpected–" a smirk "and unstoppable" Naruto laughed as the raven threw a hand over his shoulders and pulled him in for a hug.

"But I don't know, maybe I should advertise, find my very own blonde, blue-eyed firecracker?" Naruto felt the warmth spread through his face as he shoved the raven to the side "Itachi!" He could see the hordes of people lining up for a chance to go on a date with the older raven. He giggled as he imagined a sudden shortage of blonde hair dye.

Sasuke walked back into the kitchen after changing out of his work clothes and his eyes zeroed in on the laughing blonde and then flickered his eyes to his amused brother.

"What did I miss?"

"We're nominating Itachi to go on the next season of The Bachelor"

"That's not what I said," Itachi said with a small laugh

"Best way to advertise ever," Naruto said with a small giggle, Sasuke couldn't help himself as he walked over pulling his lover away from his older brother pulling him close to his front as he slid his arms around the blonde from behind "You mister, are looking to cause some sort of worldwide chaos by putting this man on the market"

Sasuke said amused as he leaned over to kiss his lover on the cheek. At that moment the elevator door opened and in came Mikoto, carrying a number of gorgeous Christmas gift bags in her arms.

"Itachi!" She smiled wide as she spotted her eldest son and somehow managed to bring her arm up despite the multitude of bags to remove her sunglasses from her face.

Naruto slipped out of Sasuke's arms to rush over and help her with the bags, a little taken aback by how fast she pulled him in to kiss his cheek "Naru darling, how are you?"

"I'm doing well Mrs. Uchiha"

"Oh, not you too! Mrs. Uchiha makes me feel all sorts of old"

"You look fresh in your twenty's," the blonde said as he placed the gift bags by the Christmas tree.

Sasuke scoffed and his mom muttered something about how she was going to take all of Sasuke's gifts with her, Naruto could swear she wanted to stick her tongue out at her son and was barely able to hold in his laugh.

"That was because you were only happy to see Itachi" Sasuke muttered back, Mikoto walked up to kiss Sasuke's cheek pulling him into a hug "That's because I thought it would only be us three and was pleasantly surprised" She turned over and kissed her eldest son.

"Naruto called and invited me over when you said you'd stop by," Itachi said.

The blonde felt a different level of accomplishment as he saw the look of appreciation flicker through Mikoto followed by a wide smile directed his way.

Dinner was nice, so much better, than the gala event, Sasuke's mom was genuinely trying "Do you work tomorrow?" She asked towards the end of their meal.

Naruto shook his head and she smiled "Wanna come shopping with me?" his eyes widened slightly as he looked from the already full Christmas tree back to the older lady, what more could she possibly buy? But he wasn't about to turn Sasuke's mom down so she could call the next best person to go with her…which would most likely be Haku.

"Why are you only inviting him?" Itachi asked with a grimace.

"Because the men in this family always turn me down because they are too busy working" Mikoto replied with ease as her eyes fell on Naruto with a whole other gleam in her eyes "Oh I have so many ideas about new outfits we could get you"

"Do you like dresses at all? That would definitely widen our options" Naruto knew he was redder than a tomato as his mouth opened and closed a couple of times. Itachi actually laughed at his expression and he turned to the side to see Sasuke give him the weirdest look of interest as he bit his lower lip and looked at him, but like looked, looked. As if he was already imagining the blonde in a dress.

"No, no! " he said as he looked at his lover forgetting for a second Itachi and Mikoto were there, both individuals laughed as the blonde sputtered five different ways of 'no' at his lover.

"Whoops, looks like I opened up a can of worms," Mikoto said, but she didn't really sound sorry at all.

"Nah, I think you're on to something," Itachi said while winking at his mom.

Naruto walked up the steps to the modern-looking building and smiled as he spotted Tenma, he waved "Thanks for getting me"

The assistant blushed slightly "Here" He said handing the keycard to the blonde "I got you a pass so next time you'll just be able to go upstairs"

"You're the best!" he said as he fell in step next to the man as he led him over to Sasuke's office. Now that he had quite a bit of free time he figured he could go to the raven. He was always bothered by how Sasuke would just skip meals.

He was sending him to work with lunch now, but he was pretty sure the raven still ate while working.

"He should be back in a couple of minutes," Tenma said as he motioned to Sasuke's office door, letting Naruto know he could wait inside.

The blonde reached inside the tote bag he'd been carrying and pulled out a container "I made you something too, as thanks, for all the help and insight into his schedule" Naruto smiled, Tenma blushed slightly as he took the container, heading out to the break room. If he stayed he wouldn't be able to put on a poker face.

Naruto walked around Sasuke's office running his fingers over the desk, and looking around the pristine office, for a moment he allowed the thought of Sasuke and Haku doing who knows what in this same office before he closed his eyes and took a breath.

That was then. This is now.

The door opened and Sasuke stepped in, stopping as soon as he spotted the blonde, blinking a couple of times, it was a little too early in the day to be fantasizing.

"Love?" He asked as he finished stepping inside and closing the door behind him, sliding the lock into place.

"Surprise," Naruto said with a smile

"What are you doing here?" Sasuke asked walking over

"Just a surprise bringing another surprise–and lunch," he said as he lifted the tote bag he'd been carrying.

The raven walked over, his hands falling on the blonde's waist and pulling him close so he could kiss him. Naruto's hands fell on his chest, snagging at the raven's shirt. By the time he pulled back, Naruto was gasping softly.

"Is the other surprise office sex?" Sasuke asked with a cocky smirk as he pushed the blonde against the bookshelf he'd been inspecting.

Naruto gasped "That wasn't the intention for this visit"

"Could I coerce you into rethinking your motives for this visit?" He asked latching onto the blonde's neck. His hands slid down Naruto's side and pulled the blonde up, Naruto instinctively wrapped his legs around the raven "Tell me you packed lube" Sasuke muttered as he smoothly set him down on top of his desk.

"I seriously came here to bring you lunch," Naruto replied, but the heated flush that settled on his face had Sasuke's insides turned to gasoline and catching on fire.

"But you still packed it didn't you?" He asked his voice thick and low as he undid his cufflinks and started rolling up his sleeves, Naruto knew there would be no lunch as he felt the rush of need wash through his body at the sight.

Sasuke walked back to the abandoned tote bag and returned taking out the food containers and sliding them closer to the computer and out of the way, then he opened the small zipper and smirked at the blushing blonde as he took out the bottle of lube, and a to-go pack of wet wipes "Oh but you're not here for sex?" He asked

"Sue me if it's a bit of a fantasy," Naruto said as he opened his legs wider to invite the raven back into his personal space.

"You little-" Sasuke didn't even bother finishing his sentence as he walked over and pulled on the blonde's shirt lifting it over his head, his hands spreading over the available skin before they began unbuttoning the blonde's pants and pulling on them.

Once he'd undressed the blonde he pushed him softly so he'd lay on the desk and his pupils grew dilated and dark as he took in the view, Naruto was just the slightest bit embarrassed by his naked state, honestly, he was ridiculously turned on by the fact that Sasuke looked like he was about to come in his pants just from the view.

"Fuck, love, the number of times I've imagined you on this desk" Sasuke muttered, Naruto hadn't even realized when he'd gotten the lube on his fingers but one of them was already falling between his cheeks and making its way inside of him.

"Ah" He shimmied allowing Sasuke more access and pushing against his finger "Always so impatient," Sasuke said playfully as his free hand fell on Naruto's hard-on, gripping him just right before he started jacking the blonde off " fuck" Naruto let out a breathy moan as his head hit the desk softly and Sasuke lost no time in trying to prod a second finger in.

But he stopped throwing the blonde a look "Love, your voice" He said

He pulled back annoyed "Tenma's puppy love might not worry me too much but he cannot hear you like this"

The raven undid his tie, brought Naruto a sitting position again, and hovered the tie by his mouth, Naruto's heart was beating so fast and his erection was straining against his belly "Open" Sasuke said his voice full of lust, and Naruto melted, as his mouth opened and the fabric entered his mouth, Sasuke tied both ends on the back of Naruto's head.

Their current position was constricting Sasuke's movements a little too much and Naruto needed Sasuke inside now. So he slid off the desk and turned around, leaning on the desk and exposing his ass. He could hear Sasuke growl behind him as he pushed both fingers back inside "Fuck one more" He said lowly as he leaned over and blanketed the blonde, kissing his shoulder then his shoulder blades and littering kisses over the tan back as he slid in the third finger, relentlessly hitting that spot inside the blonde, the tie cutting off the gasps, grunts, and mewls trying to make their way out.

Sasuke undid his pants and dropped them just enough, pumping his straining erection and gripping the base a bit, because he'd be fucked if he came right away. The view of Naruto leaning over his desk, now looking back at him, tie basically gagging him as he pleaded with his eyes nearly did it.

He bit his own lip hard enough to bruise as he groaned softly as he lined his straining cock on the blonde's entrance and pushed into Naruto's tight, tight heat. The blonde gripped him like he wanted to end him "Damn" he let out softly as the blonde pushed back, his fingers gripping the desk, god Sasuke wanted to undo the tie and hear the blonde mutter his name like it was a prayer.

"Shit, I could do this all day," Sasuke said, one of his hands steady in gripping the blonde's waist while the other snaked around to start pumping Naruto's leaking erection.

More cut-off moans left the blonde, Sasuke could see him shaking, and he wanted so badly to see the blonde shuddering under him, he pulled and angled his thrusts so he'd repeatedly hit the blonde's prostate. Naruto was a gasping over-sensitized mess as he gripped the desk and pushed back against the raven chasing his orgasm. He reached and grabbed the discarded wet wipes helping Naruto get clean, the blonde stepped back once he regained the feeling in his legs and blushed as he looked at the mess he'd made on Sasuke's desk.

After they'd managed to clean and Naruto had re-dressed, Sasuke sat on his chair and his lover dropped down his lap once again reaching for the discarded tote bag, pulling out an envelope from the bottom, and handing it to Sasuke.

"What's this?" The raven asked as he grabbed the envelope "The actual surprise" Naruto said, still flushed "And you say I'm the impatient one he added"

"But I just got a surprise for valentines last week" Sasuke murmured with a knowing smile, Naruto's surprises consisted of food and new things to try in the bedroom, and Sasuke really loved every single one, even if Naruto sometimes complained that he couldn't do big flashy things like Sasuke did.

Sasuke took the boarding passes out and smirked looking up at Naruto "Gateway boarding passes for Bora Bora?"

"Let's go on an adventure," The blonde said happily from the raven's lap.

Sasuke looked at Naruto amused "On a Gateway cruise?"

Naruto laughed "Doesn't it seem fitting for our one-year anniversary?" He leaned his head on Sasuke's shoulder "You said Bora Bora was one of your favorite places"

Sasuke opened his mouth as his eyes trailed to the computer screen "I also have been plotting with Tenma and Itachi, we moved everything on your calendar around already" Naruto said, knowing that Sasuke's brain was already trying to re-arrange whatever was on his calendar for the dates on the ticket. He'd been planning everything but didn't want Tenma to change Sasuke's schedule yet so it wouldn't ruin the surprise.

Sasuke looked at Naruto as he allowed the warmth, love, and affection to wash through his body "How?" He asked in a bit of disbelief, he really hadn't seen it coming at all.

"I don't have millions to surprise you but I'm pretty resourceful," Naruto said with a smile as Sasuke put the tickets down on the desk and his arm surrounded the blonde holding him tight.

"God I love you so much"

Naruto melted into the raven "So I really did surprise you?" Sasuke smiled "I'll have to make my next surprise next level to top this" Naruto groaned "Sasuke no, I'll just want to do better"

"Good, looking forward to whatever mischievous role play you'll have to put together to top what I do" The blonde blushed as the workstation lit up

I don't want to interrupt but you do have that 2:30 Tenma's message popped up on Sasuke's computer.

Naruto pouted "You didn't even get to eat your food"

Sasuke smirked "But I did" the blonde blushed as he kissed his raven on the cheek "Don't ever get tired of me"

"Never" Was the raven's easy answer.

Naruto didn't expect to get emotional as they pulled up to the parking lot, he worried his lower lip and Sasuke caught up to the gesture as he turned off the car "What's this? You were so excited when we left the house" He reached out to grab the blonde's hand.

"So it's your second time shopping with Mrs. Uchiha how did it go?" Shizune asked

Naruto gave her a soft smile "She's actually really lovely, and she's fun too. However I can still feel that she feels a bit of a loss at the fact that Sasuke is not dating Haku, she really likes him, I'm half afraid he's going to start pushing him onto Itachi" He said, holding in his smirk, as he tried to gauge Shizune's reaction. But she wouldn't budge, not giving the blonde any indication of whether the two were talking or not before she asked her follow-up question.

"But Haku finally backed down didn't he?" Naruto shrugged.

"He gets along with Mikoto but it's just the two of them, he's working with Itachi and whenever we cross paths we either banter or settle on polite"

"And the jealousy?"

He let out a breath at that "I mean…I still get irritated sometimes, but since our relationship went public…well you know how that went, it got a whole lot worse before it got better for a little there but, Sasuke, he constantly joined us on multiple sessions I mean you saw him"

Shizune smiled, she had, she could see how much Sasuke cared, and she could also see how terrifying that could be for him. Naruto was special, just as Sasuke was special to Naruto, and neither of them seemed to be ready to be hit with such strong emotions. Sasuke had never been in a relationship quite like the one he was in now.

It was either someone from his social group or one-night stands that didn't require the level of commitment he had with Naruto. The commitment wasn't the issue though but finding a balance. He couldn't keep the same level of work and expect to have enough time for Naruto. Meanwhile, Naruto often believed he could just fix things himself, refusing to voice his struggles until he was already tipping over. A constant point they've been working on for the last few months. The mix of joint and separate sessions had done them both a lot of good.

"The nightmares?" Shizune asked

"Pretty much gone" He smiled, so, so happy that while dating Sasuke publicly still wasn't the easiest, he could fully feel how happy he was in the relationship, even through uncomfortable moments.

Shizune placed the clipboard on her side table "Well, I think we're done" Naruto blinked up at her "With today's session?"

"With therapy," She said with a smile, but then she leaned forward on her chair "But as we discussed when you started seeing me again, I'd like to remind you that just because we are done right now doesn't mean you might be done with therapy forever. Changes in life can cause disruptions in our emotional state and you might find yourself needing a little help along the way but that's not a bad thing or indicative of failure, ok?"

Naruto rolled his eyes, but smiled at her nonetheless, he had such a hard time at first, assuming that attending therapy or taking the prescriptions would mean he was right back where he started.

"I know, thank you…for everything" Her eyes filled with emotion "If you do need help though, I will be referring you over next time my darling, because I'm having a really hard time staying professional here" Naruto laughed, she'd tried referring him after their first appointment but he'd been adamant to work with someone else, really didn't want to have to work with someone new…but he understood.

"Hopefully I won't need to again" He muttered, she resisted the urge to throw her discarded clipboard at him "Now what did I just tell you?"

Naruto let out a little frustrated noise as his eyes started filling with tears "I don't know everything's ok" Sasuke stepped out of the car and walked over to the passenger side nudging Naruto out and against the car, one of his hands falling on the blondes waist and the other coming up to wipe at the stream of tears.

" This is ridiculous, I'm happy," Naruto said, Sasuke smiled down at his oblivious, adorable blonde.

"Yeah?"

"Yes, work is fine, we're fine, we're more than fine and–" He stopped frowning, as Sasuke laughed.

"You're happy," He said as he leaned over and kissed the blonde's forehead.

"So I'm freaking out because I'm happy?" He voiced out incredulously "Fucking hell, that's gotta be a fucking joke," He said as he rubbed his face. Sasuke laughed again as he leaned over by the blonde's ear "So I make you happy, happy?" He asked his voice warm and almost liquid, feeling so fulfilled knowing he was enough.

Naruto blushed, he'd been happy and worry-free before, then his parents passed, and even when things kind of settled he dated Kiba which was its own rollercoaster of disagreements, and he couldn't even begin to understand why he put up with his bullshit for so long, then Sasuke happened…but for the first time in years everything was ok, yes there were articles, and yes most of Sasuke's family members were poisonous snakes, and yes maybe Sasuke attracted a little too much attention from everyone, but…it was ok because he knew how Sasuke felt because he knew perfectly well where they stood.

"You make me very happy," he said softly as he ran his hands up the raven's chest and around his neck, pulling him down for a kiss.

Naruto hadn't boarded with any second thoughts this time around, there was no heavy doubt laying low on his stomach. There was only a mix of memories from the first time he met Sasuke; and excitement behind the knowledge that they were coming back to the beginning.

Sasuke reached out to grab Naruto's hand "Now love, hold on tight, I don't want you accidentally wandering off and bumping into some handsome billionaire" Naruto let out a laugh

"I hear lightning never strikes twice" Sasuke raised an eyebrow as he looked sideways to the blonde in time to see him holding in a laugh "Not that I want the lighting to strike twice, I'm perfectly happy with my one-in-a-million" He added.

Once in Bora Bora Naruto wondered for a second if they'd gone through a wormhole sometime during the night and traveled through a different dimension. He'd thought the water at Cabo had been pretty but it was nothing compared to the crystal clear blue they were walking by.

He was so immersed in the comfortable silence that he was a little taken aback when Sasuke just stopped walking.

"If you drop on one knee right now I'm pretty sure I'll pass out," Naruto said flustered as he noticed the serious look that had fallen on the raven's face.

Sasuke chuckled, shaking his face "I won't" he had meant what he'd said back during breakfast with his family, he wasn't living by anyone's standards or expectations other than his own. He was going to marry Naruto. But he wasn't going to ask now, because everyone was waiting for it, because everyone was assuming or fearing he would. He would ask when it was right for both of them.

"Oh," Naruto said, taking in a relieved breath, it's not that he didn't want to marry Sasuke, because he really, really, did. But he didn't want the raven to ask just because everyone else was pushing the concept onto them.

"I was tempted to ask though" Naruto blushed as the raven walked over, his hands falling on Naruto's waist.

"But only because you attract all sorts of unwanted attention and I get jealous" The fingers on his right hand interlaced with Naruto's left "Maybe if I put a ring on it they'll all back away"

"Me? I was literally thrown into a Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World situation this last year having to fight off your evil exes, thank fucking god it was only two and not seven" Sasuke laughed

"I'm sorry, I had to watch out for Kiba, then Gaara, plus every gay or bi top that walks by you"

"And I have to fend off any loose bottom, plus all the women that lay their eyes on you" At this point, both men were ridiculously amused and Naruto laughed as he let his forehead fall on Sasuke's chest.

"All jokes aside, I only have eyes for you" He murmured as his arms slid around the raven

"Naruto" The blonde looked up and Sasuke's lips met his, Naruto was his sunshine, his wonder, his calm "I'm going to go ahead and do you on the beach now" His hands grabbed the blonde's ass and lifted him onto his shoulder as he walked over to where they've abandoned the blanket they've been sitting on before they started walking.

"No, the sand will get in everywhere," Naruto said between laughs.

It didn't matter what other obstacles were thrown their way, Sasuke and Naruto were a power couple.

Constantly fighting to keep the other.

Drawn together from the moment they met.

Because their destiny was set the moment Naruto bumped into Sasuke and sapphire blue bore into endless onyx.

I know, a lot of you probably wanted more for Itachi or Gaara, maybe even Haku. But in the end, it felt right that this ending was all about our two soulmates. I felt like if Itachi or Gaara were to find someone just randomly towards the end (even if it was each other lol if I went that route) it would not be as satisfying because both those men deserve their own stories you know?

I'm pretty exclusive with my SasuNaru pairings but I wouldn't be opposed to doing a one-shot or two-shot exclusively for Itachi (or Gaara). Goodness I've even been playing with some unholy ideasbr /

of pairing Naru with Itachi, but we ain't going to open that can of worms now.

Someone had mentioned in the comments I could always come back in the future and do a series of one-shots for the Gateway Universe (is it even its own universe? lol). Which is something I'm not opposed to, but I really do need to let the story breathe and just be for now, because I think I'm pretty happy with it.

Ah~ I'm writing a whole essay again, anyhow feeling pretty empty as I realize I'm done with everything I was working on! I can't wait to start something new, I have a couple of ideas of my own

Here are the main three I'm debating with:

1. The other option I had when I wrote gateway which was musician Sas, unrequited love for Naru from High School their paths cross again in College.

2. College fic A/B/O (because I just want to try and dip my toes into that), fuckboy Sas (because everyone loved that on Unrequited and wanted more)

3. Sas and Naru's moms are BFF's forcing the pair to interact since they were children, they can't get along...until they can *wink, wink*.

But I'm more than happy to hear from all of you. Hopefully, you'll be willing to join me for any future story I post after this.
