Our heroes, along with their new friend Chloe were making their way somewhere in the wild Area. It was already almost dark so Ash, Roan and Chloe decided to spend the night. Chloe was busy making dinner.
"Dinner," Chloe said.
Ash grabbed Rookidee's Pokéball. "Okay, Rookidee come on out," he said.
"You too come join us for dinner Scorbunny," Roan said, as he summoned Scorbunny.
Everyone sat down around the campfire, Chloe handed out the plates with her curry.
Ash took a bite of the food. "Wow Chloe this is really delicious," Ash said.
"I agree, you're a good cook," Roan said.
"Pika, pika," Pikachu squeaked with a big smile on his face.
"Thank you," Chloe said, feeling flattered by the compliments.
Chloe looked at Yamper and saw that as usual he was also enjoying her food, she looked at the other Pokémon and they too were enjoying her food.
"It's nice that my cooking skills are appreciated," Choe said.
"Well because this curry is really super delicious," Ash said.
"And good for both humans and Pokémon," Chloe said.
"Chloe, can I ask you something?" Roan asked.
"Sure Roan go ahead," Chloe said.
"So what were you doing here in the Wild Area, the day you got lost?" Asked Roan.
"I was studying the Power Spots and then you know what happened," Chloe said.
"Power Spots?" Ash asked.
"Yes, those things with that red glow you see everywhere around here," Chloe explained.
"Those things that Team Rocket was trying to steal," Roan said.
"Yeah, what are those things exactly?" Ash asked.
"These are Power Spots, but they're also known as Dens," Chloe explained to Ash.
"Why did you want to study these Dens?" Ash asked.
"I wanted to know how they work, what exactly Dynamax is," Chloe said.
"Dynamax?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, that a special transformation that Pokémon in the Galar region can undergo, becoming giant versions of themselves," Chloe explained.
"Wow, that sounds amazing," Ash said.
"But isn't it also a fact that some Pokémon can take a completely different form," Roan said.
"Yeah, that's called Gigantamax," Chloe explained.
"But what exactly did you want to know about Dynamax and Gigantamax?" Roan asked.
"How it works exactly, why do some Pokémon get a Gigantamax form and why not others, it's always been something that interested me," Chloe said.
"I only knew about Mega Evolution and Z-moves," Ash said.
"I have also read about that and I will be very interested in studying that as well," Chloe said.
"Do you want to become a professor or something later on?" Roan asked.
"I don't know yet, I just find it intriguing how something like that works, every region in whole world has something that others don't have, which makes them at unique, that's what I would like to study," Chloe said. "What are your dreams?"
"I would like to become a Pokémon Master, learn from my Pokémon and discover all different Pokémon, there are so many of them," Ash said.
"Is that why you are here?" Asked Chloe.
"Yes, I would like to join the Galar-League, but before that I have to get the 8 Gym Badges first, so that means Gym Battles," ash said.
"I think you mean Gym Challenges," Chloe said, as she was correcting Ash.
"Gym Challenges?" Ash asked.
"Yes, Gyms work very differently here than those Gyms you've seen," Chloe said.
"So how are they different?" Ash asked.
"The Gyms in Galar are different because if you want to fight the Gym Leader, you have to do the Gym Puzzle first," Chloe explained.
"Gym Puzzle?" Ash asked.
"Yes, a task you have to do, pass the task, then you can fight the Gym Leader, fight the Gym Leader and you win then you get a Badge", Chloe explained.
"And what if you don't pass the Gym Puzzle?" Ash asked.
"Then you have to keep going until you do pass it," Chloe explained.
"You're right the Gyms are indeed different from other Gyms I've been to," Ash said.
"Every Gym is different of course, only the Gyms in Galar give it an extra twist," Chloe said.
"Don't worry Ash, I even didn't know that and I grew up in a Gym," Roan said.
"You grew up with in a Gym?" Chloe said.
"Yes, but after hearing this about gyms, that just proves my brother's point even more, that I'm not ready to take over," Roan said.
"Your brother?" Asked Chloe.
"Yes, my brother Raihan, he is a Gym Leader," explained Roan.
"Raihan is your brother?" Chloe asked.
"Yes, he's my big brother," answered Roan.
"Now that you mention it, you do look a lot like him," Chloe said.
"He was so right, I'm not ready to be Gym Leader," Roan said.
"Do you want to be a Gym Leader?" Chloe asked.
"I thought I was entitled to it, now that he's quitting and joining the Elite 4," Roan said, but then he realized that he should not have told that. "Oops, no one should know that yet, Don't tell anyone, please?"
"I won't tell anyone," Chloe said.
"Thank you," Roan said.
"Why are you on this journey Roan?" Chloe asked.
"It was my brother's idea, so he can find out what kind of trainer I am," Roan explained.
Everyone finished eating and cleaned up everything. Ash looked into the distance and saw that a storm coming their way.
"Heavy weather on its way," said Ash.
"What do you mean?" Chloe asked.
Ash pointed in the direction of the storm. "That storm over there and it's coming this way," he said.
"But that's not supposed to be possible," Chloe said.
"What do you mean by that Chloe?" Roan asked.
"The Wild Area has different zones and at each zone the weather is different, It shouldn't be possible that the weather from another zone coming this way," Chloe said.
"But apparently it does," Ash simply said.
"We have to do something fast because that storm is getting closer," Roan said.
"Rookidee return," Ash said, as he called Rookidee back to his Pokéball.
Roan grabbed Scorbunny's Pokéball from his pocket, "Back in your ball Scorbunny," Roan said.
"We need to find a place to take shelter now," Ash said.
Chloe opened her bag and took out smaller bag. "We can use this," she said.
"What's that?" Ash asked.
'In here is a tent, which can provide shelter from all weather conditions," Chloe said.
"Quickly put that tent up," Roan said.
Chloe put the bag down and pulled the string, A large yellow tent appeared.
"Wow how does such a tent fit into such a small bag?" Roan asked, being amazed by the size of the tent.
"A handy invention by one of my father's colleagues, makes camping a lot easier," Chloe said.
"It even has two compartments," Ash said, just like Roan he was amazed by the tent.
"One for the boys and one for the girls," Chloe said.
"Let's get in quickly," Ash said.
Ash, Roan, Chloe, Pikachu and Yamper quickly entered the tent before the storm even arrived.
Somewhere else in the Wild Area, a group of Toxel and Toxtricity were sleeping and didn't notice anything about the storm. One of the Toxel fell over and rolled down the hill and rolled all the way to South Lake Miloch, the Toxel stopped rolling just before the water, and had not even woken up, but was now far from the other Toxel and Toxtricity.
The next morning, the storm had cleared. Ash, Roan and Chloe came out of the tent and had breakfast. While Chloe was making breakfast Ash and Roan took out Scorbunny and Rookidee and later the all joined in for breakfast. After breakfast Rookidee went and sat in a tree, Yamper went after it and sat under the tree. Scorbunny ran around and went to play in the mud and Pikachu helped Chloe with the dishes.. A few moments later, Ash, Roan and Chloe were packing their things to move on.
"Rookidee we are going to leave," Ash said.
"Rookidee," chirped Rookidee, flying out of the three and heading to Ash.
"Come Yamper," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked, as he ran to his trainer.
"Hey Scorbunny where are you!" Roan shouted.
"Bunny!" Squeaked Scorbunny, as he walked up to his trainer totally being covered in mud.
"What happened to you?" Roan asked.
"Bunny, Scorbunny," Scorbunny simply squeaked, as he was jumping up and down happily.
"It looks like Scorbunny went to play in the mud," Ash stated.
"I can't put him back in his Pokéball like that," Roan said.
"He needs to be washed," Choe said.
"Bunny?" Scorbunny squeaked after hearing what Chloe said.
"South Lake Miloch is not far from here, I'll just give Scorbunny a bath," Roan said.
"Roan you can't give Scorbunny a bath," Chloe said.
"Why not?" Roan asked.
"Scorbunny is a fire Pokémon, so he and water don't go very well together," Chloe explained.
"So what do you suggest I do to get Scorbunny cleaned up?" Roan asked.
"Take the bucket and fill it with water, then boil it, carefully dip a towel in it and clean Scorbunny that way," Chloe suggested.
Roan grabbed a bucket and walked to South Lake Miloch. Roan filled the bucket with water.
"Fire Pokémon are not strong against Water Pokémon, they are also not strong against Ground Pokémon, but still Scorbunny has no problem with playing in the mud," Roan said to himself.
Suddenly hearing cries, Roan set the bucket down and walked to the crying sound. Roan saw a Toxel sitting at the edge of the water and that it was crying.
Roan carefully walked toward the Toxel. "Hey are you alright?" He asked.
Toxel was startled to hear Roan's voice and turned toward Roan. "Tox," hissed the Toxel.
"Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to know what's wrong with you," Roan said.
Toxel's tummy began to grumble and Toxel looked down shyly.
"Ah, I get it already you are hungry, but I have something for that," Roan said.
Roan took a chocolate bar from his pocket and gave the chocolate to the Toxel. Toxel smelled the chocolate and began to eat it.
"See I'm not hurting you," Roan said.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel
"Let's see what I can find out about you," Roan said, as he grabbed his Rotom-Phone and opened up the Pokédex.
Toxel, lizard-like baby Pokémon. It manipulates the chemical makeup of its poison to produce electricity. The voltage is weak, but it can cause a tingling paralysis.
Suddenly, the Toxel began to cry again.
"What is it?" Roan asked.
Roan didn't know what to do to calm the Toxel, then he saw that the Toxel had a wound on its leg.
"You're hurt, let me help you," Roan said, as he was reaching out his hand to Toxel.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel, as slapped Roan's hand and tried to crawl back, but couldn't because of his sore leg.
"You can trust me Toxel, I really just want to help you," Roan said.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel, still being sure to trust Roan.
"My friend Chloe she can help you with your leg, I'll take you to her," Roan said.
Toxel nodded his head. Roan walked over to Toxel and gently picked him up and walked back to the campsite.
Team Rocket who were hiding in the bushes to spy on Roan came out from behind them.
"What kind of Pokémon was that?" Jessie asked.
"That was a Toxel I think," James said.
"Let's steal that Toxel," Meowth suggested.
"And make it the newest member of Team Rocket?" James asked.
"No, let's give that purple baby to the boss," Meowth said.
"The boss?" Jessie and James asked.
Team Rocket fantasy.
Meowth: "Imagine the boss has been upset for the past couple of days and longing for a cute little bubby. Then suddenly there comes Toxel and the boss starts laughing again, he is so happy about his cute bubby he says:"
Fantasy Giovanni: "I have to thank Meowth and his friends because I can laugh again because they gave me this cute purple buddy"
"Promotion and a raise, we deserve that praise," cheered the Team Rocket Trio.
"Wobbuffet," cried Wobbuffet as he had popped out of his Pokéball.
Ash and Chloe were in camp getting Scorbunny clean. Roan came running up with the Toxel in his arms.
"Chloe I need your help," Roan said.
"What is it?" asked Chloe.
"This Toxel's leg is injured," Roan explained.
"Let me take a look," Chloe said.
Roan put Toxel down on the ground, Chloe walked over to Toxel to look at his leg, but the Toxel was getting ready to attack Chloe.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel.
"It's okay Toxel, Chloe is my friend she won't hurt you, you can believe me," Roan said.
"Toxel?" Hissed the Toxel in a question tone.
"I really just want to help you Toxel," Chloe said.
"Pika, Pika," squeaked Pikachu, trying to convince Toxel to let Chloe help him.
"Tox?" Hissed Toxel.
"Pika," squeaked Pikachu, as he nodded his head.
Toxel let his guard down. Chloe moved closer to Toxel and looked at his little leg.
"And is it very bad?" Roan asked.
"Ash, can you give me my bag?" Chloe asked.
"Sure," Ash said.
Ash grabbed Chloe's bag and handed it to her. Chloe opened her bag and took out potion and spread it on Toxel and then put a band-aid on the wound.
"So, this will help you," said Chloe.
"Toxel," Toxel hissed.
'See Toxel I told you, that you would be in good hands with Chloe," Roan said.
Roan gave Toxel another piece of chocolate, which the Toxel happily accepted.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel.
"Where did you find Toxel?" Chloe asked.
"By South Lake Miloch," Roan said.
"South Lake Miloch?" Chloe asked.
"Yes, that's where I found Toxel," Roan explained.
"That's strange, Toxel and Toxtricity don't normally live there that zone of the Wild Area, Chloe said.
"Then where do you find Toxel and Toxtricity? Ash Asked.
"In the Motostoke Riverbank zone, Chloe explained.
"This Toxel here must be separated from his group, Ash guessed.
"Is that so Toxel? Roan asked.
With a sad look, Toxel nodded his head. "Toxel," hissed Toxel.
"Poor Toxel," Chloe said.
"Then let's bring Toxel back," Roan said.
"Yes, we'll get Toxel back home," Ash said.
"Pika, Pika," squeaked Pikachu, agreeing with Roan and Ash.
"Hear that Toxel, you're going home again," Roan said.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel happily.
Roan quickly cleaned Scorbunny and called him back to his Pokéball. Ash, Roan and Chloe along with their Pokémon and Toxel left the camp and walked toward Motostoke Riverbank. But without realizing it, Team Rocket's balloon flew above them and the Rocket trio had heard everything.
"So, so, so, there are more," Jessie said.
"Toxel and Toxtricity," James said.
"New plan we steal them all, we give the Toxel to the boss so he has lots of those cute ones and we give the Toxtricity to him so he has a super strong army," Meowth said.
"Sounds like a good plan," James said.
"I smell promotion," Jessie cheered.
"But first we're gonna get that Toxel away from the twerps," Meowth said.
Team Rocket began the chase after Ash, Roan and Chloe, while they were laughing evilly.
Two hours later, our heroes were still on their way to the Motostoke Riverbank. A mechanical hand appeared from the sky and grabbed Toxel from Roan's hands.
"Toxel!" Hissed the now scared Toxel.
"Oh no, Toxel!" Shouted Roan.
"What's going on?" Ash asked.
"Who's behind this?" Chloe asked.
The evil laughter of Team Rocket, answered Chloe's question. Ash, Roan and Chloe looked to the side and saw Toxel sitting in a cage with Meowth standing on top of it.
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie said.
"And make it double!" James said.
"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie said.
"To unite all people within our nation!" James said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie said.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James said.
"Jessie!" Jessie said.
"And James!" James said.
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" Jessie said.
"Surrender now or prepare for a fight!" James said.
"Meowth! That's right!" Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet!" Cried Wobbuffet.
"Again with that stupid motto," Roan said.
"Hey little twerp, our motto is anything but stupid," Jessie said.
"What are you guys up to with Toxel?" Roan demanded.
"This Toxel here is gonna be a present for the boss," Meowth said.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel, who was feeling scared and sad.
"That's not gonna happen, So let Toxel go," Roan said.
"Pikachu get ready the attack," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked jumping of Ash's shoulder
"Stop him Cramorant!" James said.
James grabs Cramorant's Pokéball and summoned him. But instead of Cramorant appearing where James threw that Pokéball, he appeared on James' head.
"Yikes," Roan said.
"Oh that has to hurt," Chloe.
Ash grabbed his Rotom-Phone and opened his Pokédex. "What kind of Pokémon is that?" He asked.
Cramorant the water/flying type Pokémon, It's so strong that it can knock out some opponents in a single hit, but it also may forget what it's battling midfight
"Get off my head and go fight those twerps," James said.
"Cramorant," quaked Cramorant.
James pulled Cramorant off his head and put him on the ground, Cramorant turned toward Pikachu.
"Cramorant is a water and flying type so we have an advantage," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Pikachu QUICK ATTACK," Ash command.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
Pikachu ran towards Cramorant. Cramorant stayed still and did nothing. Pikachu jumped up and got closer and closer to Cramorant, the only thing the Cramorant did was opening its beak
"Pika!" Squeaked Pikachu, as he was now in the beak of Cramorant.
"Pikachu," Ash said.
"I didn't see that one coming," Roan said.
"Good job Cramorant," James said.
"So that ugly bird is good for something," Jessie.
"We now have Toxel and Pikachu, what a great day for Team Rocket!" Cheered Meowth.
"Wobbuffet," cried Wobbuffet.
"Do something Ash," Chloe said.
"Yeah, before that Cramorant swallows Pikachu," Roan said.
"Ah, come on think, think," Ash said to himself Suddenly Ash got an idea. "Pikachu use your THUNDERBOLT!"
"Pikachu!" Squeaked Pikachu, as he released his Thunderbolt
Cramorant was being completely electrocuted by Pikachu's Thunderbolt. Cramorant fainted and Pikachu was free again.
"Good job Pikachu," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
James grabbed Cramorant's Pokéball. "Return," he said, returning the fainted Cramorant to its Pokéball
"Okay and now we free Toxel. Go Scorbunny!" Roan said, taking out Scorbunny's Pokéball and summoning Scorbunny.
"Scorbunny!" Squeaked Scorbunny.
"Scorbunny use your EMBER!" Commanded Roan.
Scorbunny used his attack and it hit Team Rocket, Jessie's skirt and James' pants began to catch fire and so did Meowth's tail, the trio began to run back and forth being panicked by the fact they were on fire. Roan quickly ran toward the cage and freed Toxel. Team Rocket had managed to put the fire on themselves out.
"You'll regret that you twerp," Jessie said.
"No one embarrass Team Rocket," Meowth said.
"Or sets them on fire," James said.
"You will regret trying to steal Toxel. Scorbunny, use your EMBER again," Roan commanded.
"Scorbunny! Squeaked Scorbunny," releasing an Ember attack.
"Now Yamper, use your NUZZLE!" Commanded Chloe.
"Yamper!" Barked Yamper, releasing a Nuzzle attack.
"THUNDERBOLT, Pikachu!" Commanded Ash.
"Pikachu!" Squeaked Pikachu, releasing a Thunderbolt.
"Toxel!" Hissed Toxel, as he just like Yamper released a Nuzzle attack
The four attacks shot straight at Team Rocket and they blasted off into the sky.
"That didn't go as we planned," James aid.
"There goes our promotion, James that stupid bird of yours ruined everything for us," Jessie said.
"There's only one thing to say on this," Meowth said.
"We're blasting off again!" Yelled Team Rocket.
"Wobbuffet!" Cried Wobbuffet.
Team Rocket shot further up the sky until only a twinkle of a star could be seen.
"Toxel are you all right?" Roan asked, picking Toxel up.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel," nodding his head.
"You were awesome Toxel, you helped us defeat Team Rocket," Roan said.
"Thank you for your help," Ash said.
"Pika, pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Come let's get you home," Roan said.
A few hours later and it was almost sunset, Ash, Roan and Chloe had arrived at the Motostoke Riverbank and saw and large group of Toxel and Toxtricity there.
"Look Toxel there are all your friends, you are home again," Roan said.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel.
Roan sat on his knees and put Toxel down. "It was nice meeting you Toxel," he said.
"Toxel," Toxel hissed.
"Take care of yourself," Chloe said.
"Yes, and I hope one day you'll be very strong," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"I'm going to miss you Toxel," Roan said.
Roan got up and walked with Ash and Chloe, Toxel watched as Roan and his friends walked away. Toxel turned to the group of Toxel and Toxtricity, he looked at a Toxtricity, who simply nodded his head, this put a smile on Toxel's face.
Ash, Roan and Chloe were walking, suddenly they heard cry of Toxel and turned around and saw that Toxel was coming towards them.
"Toxel what are you doing here?" Roan asked.
"Toxel," hissed Toxel, as he hugged Roan's leg.
"Roan I think Toxel wants to come with you," Ash said.
"What do you really think?" Roan asked.
"Yes, Toxel obviously likes you a lot," Chloe said.
Roan dropped to his knees and looked at Toxel. "Toxel is it really true, do you want to come with me and become my Pokémon?" He asked.
"Tox, Toxel!" Hissed Toxel happily.
"I'm really very happy about that, I'd love to have you as my Pokémon," Roan said.
"Toxel!" Cheered Toxel.
Roan took out an empty Pokémon from his pocket and threw it at Toxel. Toxel went into the Pokéball. Roan watched the Pokéball expectantly, after three shakes there was a ding and it meant Roan had caught Toxel. Roan walked toward the Pokéball and held it high in the air.
"I just caught my first Pokémon!" Roan cheered.
"Pi, pika, chu!" Squeaked Pikachu, cheering for Roan.
"Yamper! Yamper barked, cheering along with Pikachu for Roan.
"Congratulations Roan," Ash said.
"I'm happy for," Chloe said.
"Welcome to my team Toxel," Roan said, as he looked at Toxel's Pokéball
Roan has caught his first Pokémon. What adventures await this little Toxel?
