Chapter 1 - The Beginning or the End?
Bradin came up to the empty beachhouse, he set his board against the fence and pulled his wetsuit down half-way, grabbing a shirt and throwing it on. He walked into the house, and smiled, 'alone' he thought.
He walked into the kitchen and just as he was about to open the fridge, there was a knock at the door. He walked up to the door and opened it, his jaw dropping at who was standing infront of him. b Her.
The girl he had remembered from back in Kansas wasn't there anymore. Her brunette hair had blonde streaks and she had thick eyeliner, lining her deep ocean blue eyes. She was wearing a mini-skirt, a tank top and some flip flops. This was definately not her.
"Hi Bradin," she said, breaking the silence.
Bradin's mouth opened, but nothing came out.
"Aren't you going to say something? It's been a long time since I saw you..," she crossed her arms, but he didn't say anything, "I'll go," she turned around, ready to leave.
"No," he managed to say.
She turned around, "Then say something."
"I love you."
She raised an eyebrow, "Bradin. Don't say that to me. Ever again."
To this, Bradin stood up straight and his opened jaw became tightly closed, "W-why not?"
"Because it's not true! If you loved me Bradin, howcome you never talked to me after you came to Cali? Not one letter, or email. Nothing! I stopped loving you the day you stopped loving me."
Bradin put his hand on her arm, "Katie...,"
She stepped back, "Don't touch me!"
Bradin grabbed her hands and pulled her close to his chest, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her hair. He could hear her crying, and although the tears were seeping through his shirt he didn't care. He had herback.
Or so he thought...
