Seeing the interactions between Nanashi and Flynn, I keep remembering the relationship between Hallelujah and Nanashi... with his actions, Nanashi won Hallelujah's admiration and respect, to the point that in the achievements of the game, if you fight more than 100 fights having Hallelujah with companion, it will be revealed that Hallelujah idolizes Nanashi.

Chapter 33 Encroaching Danger
As Isabeau and Nozomi made their way back they heard some commotion up ahead. The former raised her gauntlet wearily before rushing in and was followed by Nozomi. A group of Asura Kai members surrounded a spirit of a woman who's lower half was a horse. She wore knight armor and held a sword and shield. She glared intensely at the Asura Kai members.
"Be gone from our territory, vile humans! I don't know about any Synchro monster near here and I don't care!", the female spirit yelled.
"Just let us check for a moment.", Asura Kai member 1 said.
"Even if I did know. I wouldn't tell a human like you.", the female spirit replied harshly.
"And here we were trying to be nice you little bitch…!", Asura Kai member 2 said angrily.
"Hah! Nice? You expect me to believe that? Any spirits you take don't come back. I don't know what you do to the spirits you take, but I don't trust you.", the female spirit replied with an intense glare.
The Asura Kai members growled before calling upon a different spirit. To the two woman's shock a big muscular white spirit came to their call along with Goyo Guardian.
"They must have gotten them from the captured Crown Samurai.", Isabeau whispered.
The female spirit warily raised her blade not expecting to face two other spirits.
"Do you two have no self respect? How can you let those weak humans boss you around?", the female spirit questioned.
When she looked more closely she noticed strange wires were plugged into the spirits. When she looked to where the wires led she found it was coming from the Meklord Emperors. Her eyes widened in shock, feeling much more worried now.
"You should have nothing to worry about, fusion spirit. Assuming you aren't harboring any synchro monsters.", Asura Kai member 3 said.
"How do I know that? For all I know you're hiding some spirit that could control any of us!", the fusion spirit replied.
Nozomi watched as Isabeau very quietly snuck forward. She wondered what Isabeau was trying to do. The two synchro spirits prepared to attack the fusion spirit before suddenly the sound of electricity could be heard. Their attention was drawn to Isabeau who cut the wires with her gauntlet blade attaching the Meklord Emperors to the synchro monsters.
"Why you bitch!", Asura Kai member 2 cursed.
The Asura Kai looked fearful as the monsters turned to them looking rather angry. The white spirit easily knocked them over with a swipe of its arm knocking them out cold. The spirit looked like it was about to finish them off.
"Wait! I know they hurt you, but please don't kill them.", Isabeau pleaded much to Nozomi's shock.
"You're the human that cut the wires. Why did you do that?", the fusion monster asked.
"Because controlling someone else isn't right. Whether they are spirit or human.", Isabeau replied simply.
The spirits looked surprised by this sentiment.
"Usually humans side with their own no matter what.", Goyo Guardian said.
"I don't believe in that kind of nonsense. I just believe in helping those who need help.", Isabeau replied.
"Seems there are some decent humans out there. Fine, I won't kill these bastards for now. But, if they mess with me again I'll squash them.", the white spirit replied.
"Thank you.", Isabeau replied, with a light bow.
"Seeing Samurai like you is rather assuring. Would you accept this as thanks?", Goyo Guardian said, before handing Isabeau his card, surprising her.
"Huh…? You don't need to do that.", Isabeau replied.
"Well, he doesn't have to, but it's preferable for humans like you to survive rather than humans like them.", the spirit replied, before giving her his card as well.
Isabeau looked stunned not expecting this turn of events at all. Nozomi gaped at how easily she just obtained two Synchro monsters.
"Note to self. Be nice to spirits and they will like you enough to give you their cards.", Nozomi thought.
In Shinjuku…
Flynn tensed, unable to believe what he was hearing.
"There must be some sort of mistake! The Lord would never do something like that without good reason!", Flynn defended.
"Synchro monsters was his reason. There's an infinite momentum reactor in Tokyo known as the Yamato reactor which supplies power to Tokyo. Synchro summoning gives off the energy that makes it possible. He didn't like humans having that kind of power.", Nikkari explained, drawing Flynn's attention.
"So, it was like the Tower of Babel? Wait…but the Lord has no problem with us using Synchro monsters.", Flynn replied.
"That's because you are the ones chosen by him. Besides you guys can't harness the energy given off by Synchro summoning because of how primitive your technology is.", Nikkari explained.
"What do you mean by an infinite momentum reactor? What is that?", Flynn questioned.
"I don't know the exact details per say. But the idea is that the reactor infinitely rotates generating infinite electricity. Uh electricity is…like what makes your gauntlet function.", Nikkari explained, awkwardly knowing Flynn didn't quite understand technology.
"So, it's magic? That does sound rather dangerous. I don't think any man should have infinite power.", Flynn replied.
"It's not magic, dude! It's science! It's just to power things!", Manabu said in an annoyed tone.
Flynn still looked understandably perplexed by the explanation. The Samurai shuffled awkwardly, finding the whole explanation strange.
"So, that's why your scared of the angels?", Flynn asked.
"Of course. Even after those winged bastards still tried to kill us! Those crown Samurai freaks even came!", Manabu replied.
"That's wrong. Archangel Gabriel was against what his former majesty was going.", Flynn replied, making them look shocked.
Flynn seemed to not have his faith shaken even after the reveal.
"I don't think all the angels want to attack Tokyo or hurt its people. I have heard of the angels disagreeing in the past…about what The Lord wants them to do. I don't think Archangel Gabriel is one of the angels you need to fear.", Flynn explained.
Nikkari sighed expecting it would be difficult to get through to Flynn. He was raised in a society that worship the God that condemned Tokyo. Of course turning him away from that would be difficult.
"That sounds like good news.", Asahi commented.
"I'm not scared of meeting some angel. Bring it on.", Nanashi said confidently though Boss looked wary.
Though Flynn seemed valuable to Mikado and the angels with his immense skill and signer status. They couldn't risk losing him by killing Nanashi, which they wouldn't want to risk.
"We'll be right back, sir Boss.", Flynn said and the Tokyo residents' sweat dropped at the 'sir'.
Nanashi felt his heart beating with excitement at the idea of seeing a strange new land. They went to the terminal room and Flynn used his gauntlet. He held Nanashi's hand before they were teleported.
In Mikado…
Nanashi instinctively covered his eyes at the blinding light filling his eyes. He smelled unfamiliar scents all over. Flynn squeezed Nanashi's hand.
"Are you alright, Nanashi? Stay close to me.", Flynn said.
Nanashi lowered his hand as his eyes started to adjust to the scenery. His eyes widened, seeming a fiery orb in a sea of blue which illuminated the whole sky. He gaped realizing that it must be the sun. He looked around seeing various buildings standing proudly on the surface bustling with people without any fear of evil spirits. Flynn started heading towards the Monastery. Nanashi noticed he was getting some weird looks from the locals, mostly confusion or…hatred. Flynn and him walked into the Monastery where the fact that everyone was looking at Nanashi was more apparent. He noticed a monk recoiling in disgust.
"Lord Flynn, why have you brought such unclean filth into Mikado?", Monk 1 questioned and Nanashi looked annoyed.
Though his ears perked up at them calling Flynn 'lord'. He got the impression Flynn was more important than what he was letting on. Flynn stood in front of Nanashi protectively.
"This boy is the reincarnation of King Aquila.", Flynn replied, making everyone in the Monastery gasp in shock.
"What blasphemy!", Monk 2 blurted out.
"You cannot be serious. This must be some sort of joke.", Monk 3 said.
"It's not that surprising. Remember before King Aquila was our king he was an Unclean One.", Flynn pointed out.
This made the monks squirm uncomfortably knowing he was right, but not liking it. Their attention was drawn when Gabriel and Michael walked in hearing the commotion. The sight made them freeze for a moment seeing Flynn and Nanashi together. It was familiar to them. Gabriel went up to them first. Nanashi sweated nervously, feeling something strange about the woman who gazed at him.
"This must be the boy you spoke of. He is definitely King Aquila's reincarnation.", Gabriel said.
"His name is Nanashi. I was hoping that I could be allowed to bring him with me to Mikado whenever I come back here. Protecting him is important and I can't stay in Tokyo forever.", Flynn replied.
Nanashi had absolutely no idea what was running through the woman's mind. Her expression was completely unreadable. Her and Michael were whispering about something.
"Since you are the reincarnation of Aquila that means you are the chosen one of the Crimson Dragon. Even though you are an Unclean One you will be permitted to come and go between Mikado and Tokyo. Lord Flynn I'm trusting you to keep your eye on him.", Gabriel said.
Nanashi looked stunned as Flynn bowed to the angel not partially but fully.
"Yes, esteemed Archangel.", Flynn replied.
"So umm…we're cool then?", Nanashi said awkwardly.
Flynn got up and nodded. Nanashi took a relieved sigh.
"Take heed though. Mikado is a very different country from yours. We cannot guarantee the people will accept you even after they are informed.", Michael replied.
"We will keep that in mind. We know who possesses Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. It is in the possession of a group known as the Asura Kai.", Flynn said.
"Be careful against the primordial Synchro monster. It is the strongest of all the signer dragons. It can even counter your Stardust Dragon.", Gabriel warned.
Flynn and Nanashi's eyes widened in shock.
"Just what does Clear Wing Synchro Dragon do?", Flynn asked.
"It has the power of effect negation just like Stardust Dragon.", Gabriel replied.
"Sounds like a mean ass dragon. I hit the jackpot!", Nanashi thought.
"I see…I will keep that in mind.", Flynn replied.
Flynn bowed to the archangels again thanking them before they left.
"Do you really have to get on the floor for those
guys?", Nanashi questioned.
Flynn looked perplexed at the question.
"Of course I do. They are esteemed angels of God.", Flynn replied, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"You seem like quite the fan…", Nanashi replied awkwardly.
"Fan?", Flynn questioned, unfamiliar with the term,
Nanashi sweat dropped at this. He wasn't exactly familiar with religious types so he didn't know the right way to describe it.
"Before we return I want to check up on my grandfather.", Flynn said.
"How old is he exactly?", Nanashi questioned.
"He is 71 right now.", Flynn replied and Nanashi's eyes widened.
"Wow…the life expectancy is high up here…", Nanashi replied stunned.
"That's why I'm worried. By the end of the Hunter Tournament 4 years will pass in Mikado.", Flynn said.
"Woah, that's a lot.", Nanashi commented.
The two made their way to the Mallory manor. Flynn froze when he smelled something distinctly familiar making him tense. Nanashi covered his nose with the foul smell.
"What is that? It almost smells like a spirit-", Nanashi was saying before he saw Flynn running towards the manor.
Nanashi ran after him, seeing the worry in his expression. As they got closer they could smell smoke in the building. Inside they saw a tall muscular spirit. Its skin was purple and decaying with skeletal armor around it. It had horns and wings like a demon along with red eyes. Flynn ran over to his grandfather who was hunched over coughing from the smoke created by the azure flames.
"David's brat.", the spirit spat.
Flynn stopped in places activating his gauntlet as he glared at the spirit. He materialized Doomkaiser making the spirit tense.
"Doomkaiser, get grandfather out of here!", Flynn ordered.
The dragon grabbed the collar of his clothes with his mouth carrying him away.
"F-Flynn, stop! Don't get involved in this!", Damien said, confusing them.
"What are you talking about, grandfather?! I can't just sit and let sir Keith kill you!", Flynn questioned.
"L-let me end this, Flynn. He w-wants me. You have nothing to do with this…", Damien replied.
"Nothing to do with it?!", Flynn questioned.
"Heh. Looks like you really are the old man's favorite more than any of his own children.", the spirit, Keith said.
"What's going on?!", Nanashi questioned as Flynn tensed.
"It's a long complicated story, but sir Keith is my uncle.", Flynn replied.
Nanashi looked stunned at this.
"Then why the fuck is he trying to kill his dad?!", Nanashi questioned.
Flynn grabbed Nanashi and they ran towards Doomkaiser getting on his back. They flew out of the building and Keith gave chase, angry at his nephew for getting in his way again.
Outside Flynn held Damien as he coughed harshly.
"Are you okay?", Flynn asked.
"It's just the smoke. That coward just suddenly appeared setting the place on fire.", Damien explained.
The fire grew out of control starting to envelope the manor. Keith walked towards them menacingly illuminated by the flames. Damien tried to stand up stubbornly.
"Heh. Looks like the smoke did quite a number on your old decrepit body.", Keith taunted and Flynn glared.
"Why you…he's your own father! How could you do this?!", Flynn questioned.
"You know nothing about the Hell we of the Mallory family normally endure. You got really lucky after all your competition died leaving you as the only one to inherit the Mallory name.", Keith said.
If looks could kill Keith would be dead on the floor ten times over. Damien gave him a dauntless stare removing Flynn's hands from him.
"Let's end this like real duelists you pathetic coward.", Damien challenged.
"Not interested. All I'm interested in is killing you and gaining the power of the Lord of the Undead and the strongest zombie deck!", Keith said, about to swipe at Damien with his claws.
Doomkaiser breathed flames sending him back. Flynn got in front of Damien again challengingly.
"Duel me then! I'm the Lord of the Undead!", Flynn said.
"Did you really come from David's loins? You seem far more courageous than he ever was.", Keith questioned.
"Don't slander my father, you murderer!", Flynn barked.
"You really are oblivious huh. Your pops betrayed me first.", Keith replied.
Flynn looked confused hearing this having no idea what he was talking about.
"Oh God you don't know…that old man over there is a devil who put his own children through Hell. It is Mallory tradition that all the children must duel for the right to keep the Mallory name. The one who wins inherits the name and the deck while those who lose are thrown on the streets and stripped of the Mallory name and their status.", Keith explained.
Flynn and Nanashi looked stunned at this and Damien grimaced.
"I did as my father did before me. Only the strongest can gain the loyalty of the undead. You weren't good enough.", Damien replied.
"I did everything I could to gain that title! And the one who disdained dueling gained it because of their fear of being thrown on the streets. David was never a real duelist! He was the biggest coward of all of us! He must have pulled something to beat me!", Keith replied angrily.
"You call him a coward when you sneak attacked sir Damien in his home trying to kill him rather than duel him? I do not know about what happened in the past, but grandfather wept when my father died. He cannot be as heartless as you describe.", Flynn replied.
"It's all true, Flynn. You were never subjected to it because there was no reason to. His anger is directed at me for putting him through that. That's why I should end this.", Damien said.
"He doesn't want to duel you though! He wants to kill you!", Flynn replied.
"That's right I'm not stupid enough to duel the old man knowing the power of his deck. You however, I can beat you.", Keith said looking down at Flynn.
Flynn raised his gauntlet to Keith.
"Then, so be it, heretic!", Flynn replied.
With Jonathan…
He was currently looking around Tokyo making sure to be cautious of any attacks. He was looking for someone in particular. The last thing he expected was for that person to find him.
"You really haven't gotten it through your thick skull, have you Jonathan? I will just have to crush you this time.", Asuma said as he held up a deck which had dark energy around it.
Jonathan tensed, raising his gauntlet.
"You must turn away from evil, Asuma! I will bring you back to Mikado!", Jonathan said.
"You can't win, Jonathan. I will show you that.", Asuma said as dark energy built up around them.
Jonathan stumbled as the power coming from Asuma's cards shook the area around them. Hikaru smirked from afar preparing to watch the duel unfold.
"He'll find out how truly big the gap of power is between those like us and naive fools like him.", Hikaru said.
Issachar shuffled hoping Jonathan would be okay. He beat Asuma once and hoped he could do so again.
"Duel!", the two said as Burroughs initiated the coin toss function.

"This might be the strongest card I've seen! How did y-", Jonathan was saying before the monster cut clean through his monsters with its blade like butter.
Just the impact sent him flying back.
