Tris POV
"And that's why Dauntless don't concede," I conclude when I turn the lights back on.
The initiates look at me with wide eyes. Some seem scared but all of them show signs that what we presented to them sank in.
"Dauntless don't give up, they stand up and keep fighting, no matter what adversity they face. Life is full of obstacles and they don't even have to be of the human enemy kind to throw us down. What's important is that we don't let it keep us down. We get up, we dust ourselves off and we keep going," I state once more. "Now, Four will let you know the pairings for your first match. Do me proud," I urge before stepping back.

"How did it go," Eric asks me when I get home that night.
"Good, the video seems to help them understand why we ask them to go beyond what they feel themselves capable of. They'll be nice and sore when they have to take the train tomorrow but everyone put a lot of effort into their fights. I call that a win," I boast.
"And where is my reward for letting you use my tapes?"
"Your reward is right here," I motion to myself.
"Indeed it is," Eric agrees and motions for me to come and sit on his lap.
"I am sweaty," I protest while already straddling him on the couch.
"Then go shower if that's what you want. Dinner is going to take another twenty minutes. I literally put it in the oven a minute ago."
"I don't want to get up," I whine and Eric smirks at me.
"Wanna get a bit more sweaty?"
"Why not," I state and get up.
Eric pouts until he sees I am pulling my shirt up, then he quickly starts stripping his own clothes.
"Oh no, look at us. What are we going to do now," I bemoan.
"I can think of a few pleasurable things," Eric promises, pulling me back down.
"Is that so, Mr Coulter?"
"It is indeed, Mrs Coulter," Eric promises and pushes me down on his erection.
We both moan when he fills me up.
"I missed you today," Eric groans while he helps me rise up and down his length.
"You could have stopped by," I remind him.
"I had other things to do. You know, with a leader down for initiation we other ones have to pick up the slack."
"You mean Johanna couldn't reach me and went for you instead?"

"I love you but I would really prefer it if you could kiss and fuck me," I demand and Eric releases my hips.

Eric follows shortly after and we stay glued together, kissing, until the oven timer beeps.
"Fuck," Eric groans and I laugh.
"Yes, we did. Hand me some tissues," I demand and Eric stretches his arm to reach the side table.
"Go, shower, I will check on the food. It's too hot to eat anyway," he assures and gives me a smack on my ass.
I squeal as I dance out of his way before making my way into the shower.

"Everybody up," I shout when I follow some members into the transfers' dorm.
I wait and check if everyone is up and somewhat paying attention.
"You have ten minutes to get dressed and meet us by the tracks. We are going on another field trip," I shout and then turn on my heel and run out the door with the others.
Eric is just leaving the Dauntless born dorm and I slow my steps to allow him to catch up to me.
Together we make our way up to the tracks and step aside.
With surprising speed our charges trickle in, and when it feels like almost everyone made it I step into the light.
"Everyone grab a gun," I shout and there is a mad scramble for the guns and boxes with paintballs.
I sidle up to Eric and Tobias.
"Time estimate," Eric asks Tobias, who groans in annoyance but plays along. He makes a big show of checking his watch.
"Any minute now. How long is it going to take you to memorise the train schedule?"
"Why should I, when I have you to remind me of it," Eric says, shoving Tobias' shoulder.
As if it waited for the right cue, a circle of light appears on my left, far away. It grows larger as it comes closer, shining against the side of my husband's face. His piercing shines before he turns and follows Tobias, who is the first to get on the train. I run after him, not waiting to see what the initiates will do.
Eric turns around as I fall into stride next to the car and holds out a hand. I grab his arm, and he pulls me in.
"Thanks," I mouth.
"We always pull each other up," Eric whispers into my ear before stepping back.

"We'll be dividing into two teams to play capture the flag. Each team will have an even mix of members, Dauntless-born initiates and transfers. One team will get off first and find a place to hide their flag. Then the second team will get off and do the same. This is a Dauntless tradition, so I suggest you take it seriously," Tobias warns.
"Four and I will be your team captains," Eric continues. "We will divide up the transfers first."
"You go first," Tobias says.
"I already have Tris on my team, you take first pick," Eric offers.
"How can you have Tris on your team when you split up transfers first," Aaron, a little Candor shit that keeps reminding me of Peter, asks out loud.
"Because my wife and I are an unbeatable team and we always stick together," Eric states loudly and and proudly. "Four?"
Tobias starts looking around for his first pick as if he hasn't already made a plan. He is going to lose, like every other year since I am on the opposing team but, just like us, he never gives up and keeps trying time and time again.
