A/N: Hey everyone! I'm Neena and this is my first fanfiction on here so just tell me if somethings off. Thanks. And Thank you so much for reading. I don't really have a schedule because making and having (and attempting to maintain) one often pressures me and then my writing isn't good and its overwhelming. Plus with school and all- it's not that easy. I'll try my best to post every weekend or every other weekend. Yes. I am posting this on a Monday but normally it would be on weekends.
Hestia's POV:
Hestia sighed as she muttered to herself, "Ah, yes. Just another day on Olympus."
Zeus and Poseidon were arguing over whether potatoes were better or eggplants were. Seriously, who likes eggplants? Zeus, of course.
Hestia sighed in exasperation at that.
Demeter was yelling at Hades to eat more cereal, with her daughter, Persephone, shaking her head in the background.
Hestia glared at her younger sister with a glare that meant shut-the-hell-up-before-I-murder-you
Ares and Athena were arguing over battle tactics.
Aphrodite was painting her nails. Dionysus was reading a magazine. Hephaestus was tinkering with some scrap metal. Hermes was attempting to steal one of Hera's flower vases, resulting in a glare from the Queen of Olympus.
Hestia shook her head at that one.
And Apollo and Artemis were arguing over something related to men being annoying. Or something. At this point, Hestia couldn't care less.
The worst part? They were all so loud. It was giving Hestia a headache and she had had enough. "SHUT UP. ALL OF YOU." The room fell silent. Hestia barely ever yells.
The goddess of the Hearth took a breath, "Zeus, Poseidon, stop arguing over vegetables. Demeter, get over the cereal nonsense. Athena, Ares, there is no point in arguing over war tactics. The two of you are opposites. Get over it. Aphrodite, you've already put five layers of gel nail polish on your nails, you're overdoing it. Hermes, at this point, you should know that trying to steal Hera's things is only going to get you into trouble. Apollo, your sister is a maiden. She has sworn off men. Don't try to convince her that men aren't annoying. Artemis, we've all tried and failed to get that ego-filled brother of yours to stop boasting about shit. It's not gonna work. Don't try." Hestia pinched the bridge of her nose. "To your thrones. All of you." The rest of the gods obeyed. "Don't make a sound. Just- just sit there." Hestia smiled wearily, "Is that hard?"
No answer. Hestia let out a breath and sat at her hearth. The quiet was odd but calming. Of course, this being Olympus, it didn't stay like that for long.
Percy's POV:
Percy sat up and glanced around. Two seconds ago he was chasing Jason because the dude stole his blue cookie. Now, he's at Olympus. Being a demigod, Percy being transported to Olympus isn't the weirdest thing ever.
At the sound of yelling, cursing, and a loud thump, Percy spun around. His friends were all in a pile on the ground. A white portal-looking-thing vanished as soon as Percy saw it. All of his friends stood up and glanced around.
The Olympians were quiet. Odd. The throne room was the old one; before Kronos destroyed it. Also odd. Annabeth's eyes were wide as she stepped closer to Percy, "Percy… time travel. We- I think- I think we time traveled. Somehow."
"That doesn't explain the silence though," Jason stated.
"The end of the world?" Leo asked. Everyone looked at him. "What? It's possible."
"No, I think they're just listening to me for once." Hestia materialized next to the group. She glanced at the Olympians, "Talk all you want."
"WHO THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE?!"
"WHY ARE THEY HERE?!"
"I think they need more cereal."
Hestia sighed, "Do you know why you are here?" she asked the group of demigods (and a couple of satyrs, and a mortal- ok you get the point).
A series of 'no's and shaking heads met her as a reply. Percy spoke, "We're pretty sure we time-traveled here? For some reason?" On cue, a brick fell out of another white portal and hit Jason in the head. Laughter echoed through the hall. "Bro, really?"
Jason grabbed the brick and stood up, "Shut up. There's a note." He took it off the brick. "And it's in Greek."
"Give it," Annabeth took the note.
Hestia yelled, "Silence!" The gods quieted again.
Annabeth began reading, "Dear gods, goddesses, demigods, and whoever else we brought to the past,
We were bored, so we thought, let's bring the saviors of Olympus to the past. So basically, yes we brought you demigods, two satyrs, and a mortal to the past, and put you on Olympus. You guys can not leave and return to the present unless you do exactly what we tell you. And that is to read the books. The books of your story.
Each of you will introduce yourself by name, godly parent (for the demigods of course), and then your titles.
Gods and goddesses, please no killing or zapping the demigods. Your future will be a disaster. Now, without any more delays, here are the books." On cue, a pile of books appeared in the center of the room.
Hestia walked over and picked up one of them, "This one has a note as well."
She took the note and opened it, "This is book one. The language will change to Ancient Greek for the Greeks, Latin for the Romans, and it'll be neutral English for the gods. Good luck not getting yourself killed, Perseus.
~The Fates."
3rd Person (mainly b/c keeping a single POV is harder than it seems):
Percy shuddered. "Well, looks like we have a few introductions to get through."
"Romans first?" Leo asked.
Jason took a shaky breath, "Alright." He stepped forward, "Jason Grace, Son of Jupiter, a Saviour of Olympus, part of the Prophecy of Seven." Hades, Hera, and Poseidon all glared at Zeus.
Hazel stepped forward before a war could break out, "Hazel Levesque, Daughter of Pluto, a Saviour of Olympus, part of the Prophecy of Seven." Hazel quickly added, "Born before the oath."
Frank stepped forward, "Frank Zhang, Son of Mars, legacy of Neptune, a Saviour of Olympus, part of the Prophecy of Seven." The three Romans stood beside their respective godly parents.
Annabeth glanced at Percy who smiled at her. She took a breath and stepped forward, "Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, Head counselor of the Athena cabin, Architect of Olympus, Saviour of Olympus, slayer of Arachne, part of the Prophecy of Seven." Athena smiled proudly at her future daughter, who had come to stand next to her. Annabeth smiled shakily back. You're not gonna be that happy once you realize who my boyfriend is.
"Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite, wielder of Katoptris, Head counselor of the Aphrodite cabin, a Saviour of Olympus, part of the Prophecy of Seven."
"Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus, Head counselor of the Hephaestus cabin, a Saviour of Olympus, part of the Prophecy of Seven." Leo lit his hands on fire, "And that, of course." Hephaestus grinned.
Percy took a breath, "Perseus Jackson, Son of Poseidon, wielder of Anaklusmos, Slayer of the Minotaur, Medusa, and a whole bunch of other things. A Saviour of Olympus and part of the Prophecy of Seven." Poseidon smiled.
Hades glared at both of his brothers, "Despite forcing me into an oath," Hades stood up from his throne, "to not have more demigod children, you both did." He turned his attention to Zeus, "You killed Maria, you tried to kill my children, who are now stuck in a time-warping hotel because of your stupi-"
Nico stepped forward, forcing a pained smile, "Dad."
Hades fell silent as he looked at Nico, "Nico?" He asked, his voice a whisper.
Nico glanced back at the rest of the gods, "Nico di Angelo, Son of Hades, Ghost King." Despite it being obvious by now, he added, "Born before the oath." Nico walked over to Hades, who had shrunk to human size.
"Nico," Hades said. Nico smiled shakily. Before he knew it he was wrapped in a hug. Hades pulled back, clearing his throat, "Where's-" he glanced at the group of demigods, "Where's Bianca?" Nico's smile fell, and Percy suddenly seemed largely interested in his shoes.
"Dad… She… Bianca." He swallowed. "Bianca died," Nico wouldn't meet Hades' eyes. There was a thick layer of uncomfortable silence throughout the hall. Artemis cleared her throat but Nico cut her off before she could say anything, "Bianca died," he turned to face the maiden goddess, "as a Hunter of Artemis." He gritted his teeth. Nico had never liked the Hunters after the whole thing with Bianca but tried not to show it. Thalia was Artemis' lieutenant after all.
Athena spoke, "How about we, uh, get back to the introductions?" Hades reluctantly went back to his throne, Nico following.
Thalia nodded and stepped forward, "Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, lieutenant of Artemis."
Artemis raised an eyebrow, "Wait, what about Zoe?" Thalia, Percy, and Grover glanced at each other sadly. "Oh. Oh no. she can't-" Artemis swallowed, "Continue."
"Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano, daughter of Bellona, praetor of Camp Jupiter."
"Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares, Head counselor of the Ares cabin."
"Travis…"
"And Conner Stoll…"
"Sons of Hermes." The boys ended together.
"Will Solace, Son of Apollo, Head medic, Head counselor of the Apollo cabin-"
"And my boyfriend!" Nico piped up from beside Hades' throne. Will chuckled and turned to him, grinning. Hades and Apollo were wide-eyed.
Will walked over to Nico and kissed his hand, "And that." Percy and Jason were grinning at the exchange.
Rachel smiled, "Rachel Elizabeth Dare, Mortal." At Zeus' glare, she added, "The new Oracle of Delphi."
"Grover Underwood, satyr, Lord of the Wild."
Dionysus' eyebrows raised, "You found Pan, that means?"
Grover smiled, glancing at Percy, "It should be explained in the books."
"Gleeson Hedge, satyr."
The gods all shrank to human size and created couches, chairs, and beanbags for the others. Percy, Thalia, and Grover sat next to Poseidon's throne, the son of Poseidon in the middle of his friends. Rachel sat with Annabeth who sat next to her mother's throne, sending Percy a look that clearly meant She'll kill us if she finds out. Nico and Will sat next to Hades' throne, Leo sat with Piper and Jason next to Zeus' throne, Hazel and Frank sat with Nico and Will, Clarisse sat next to her father's throne, and Gleeson sat on a beanbag next to Jason, Piper, and Leo.
Hestia smiled, "Let the reading begin." She picked up the first book, "Who wants to read first?"
Annabeth spoke, "I'll do it." She took the book from the goddess of the Hearth and read the title-which had flickered into ancient Greek as soon as she touched the book. "Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The Lightning Thief."
