So, before we begin, I should probably get one thing out of the way. This takes place in the same universe as another fanfic of mine, Aura Therapy. All you really need to know is that, at the request of Zoey, Dawn got Duncan and Gwen to become friends again, along with Gwen and Duncan patching things up with Courtney. You won't be lost if you don't read it first, but I figured it would be best if I gave a heads up.
So, this will be the first competition story I've ever made. To clear up the time for when this story takes place, it takes place about a year after Pahkitew Island and a few months after Ridonculous Race. I've thrown around ideas for this story in my head for over a year before deciding to actually go through with making one. Here's to hoping you guys enjoy it!
The camera shown a luxury yacht let out a horn as it began to dock at a harbor, said yacht having an image of Chris McLean's head on it's side. As the yacht pulled into the dock, it let down a boarding ramp. The camera zoomed in to show who was on the yacht. Chris was reclining on a pool chair, wearing sunglasses and a necklace made out of flowers.
"Hey dudes! How's it hangin'? This is Chris, coming at you live from the S.S McLean! We have an outdoor pool, a great buffet room, fancy bathrooms that double as the confessionals, a personal butler" As if on cue, a balding old man in a suit delivered a glass of lemonade to Chris before leaving. "Thank you my man. And soon, some familiar faces."
Chris jumped out of the chair and took off his shades. "You might be wondering, 'Chris, what made you decide to show us a peak at your spectacular life?' Well, sometimes when you're living the good life, you just feel the urge to share it with others. Y'know what I mean?"
Chef Hatchet walked onto the scene wearing a sailor costume. "If you're so generous, how about you give me a raise for all I've done for this stupid show?"
"Good one Chef. Now get down to the docks and get people to fill in the check in sheet."
Chef grumbled as he went down the boarding ramp.
"Anyway, we're not only letting people see it. We're throwing a party! The producers and I sent invitations to almost all former participants of Total Drama, our first former contestant being the guy operating the ship! The silent genius, B!"
The camera shifted to the control room. B was currently working the electrical systems. When he noticed that the cameras were focused on him, he gave a finger point before going back to work.
"Yeah. He's also working for us part-time. And soon, several more Total Drama contestants will be coming here to party it up! With there being a special surprise by us. That being said, there are a few people who are blacklisted per my suggestion."
"Oh come on!" Topher complained to Chef at the harbor. "You gotta let me on! This could be my last chance to make it big in the business!"
Chef simply picked up Topher, and threw him into the water. Chris let out a chuckle as he looked down at the sight. "There were also some contestants who were either busy, or didn't want to come. Still, 21 former contestants from Total Drama decided to take up my invitation, and are coming here for nothing more than a simple good time. ...Yeah. As if that's all there is to it." Chris noticed a taxi started to pull up. "And it looks like we're getting some arrivals!"
Exiting the first taxi were four former contestants, all of them wearing sunglasses. "Our next familiar faces, not counting Topher, are people we hired for the music. Trent, Justin, Cody, and Harold. A.K.A, The Drama Brothers! ...We kinda stretched our budget on the yacht."
"Man. Feels like it's been forever since we last performed." Trent said.
"I'm sure that the contestants from our seasons have been craving to see my face again." Justin claimed.
The four of them walked up to the yacht. "Hold it wash ups. Each of you gotta put your signature here." Chef told them. He gave each of them a paper on a clipboard.
"Wash ups?" Harold repeated, offended.
"Easy there, H-Bomb." Trent told Harold as he was signing the paper.
"Yeah. We'll make him eat his words when we perform our new single. If We Love You That Way." Cody claimed.
Cheff rolled his eyes and took back all the clipboards when the Drama Brothers finished signing.
"O.M.G." The familiar voice of a girl said.
"Oh boy." Cody groaned.
"Total Drama Superfan, Sierra!" Chris declared as Sierra ran up to the boat.
"I never thought I'd live to see the day. A party that celebrates Total Drama...and I'm a part of it! I'm a part of it!" Sierra jumped in joy before she took a look at the Drama Brothers. "Oh. Hi Cody." She waved happily.
"Umm...hi?" Cody responded.
Chef gave Sierra a sheet of paper attached to a clipboard. "Signature at the bottom." He said. Sierra quickly put her signature and ran up the boarding ramp.
"Umm...shouldn't she have been obsessing over you just then?" Justin asked Cody.
"Yeah..." Cody said.
(Confessional: Cody)
"I gotta say, even though the confessional is still a bathroom, I'm glad the camera isn't in the stalls at least. Anyway, what was that all about? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but I saw All-Stars, and Sierra went crazier than usual as a result of being away from me. Now she sees me for the first time in over a year, and that's her reaction?"
As the Drama Brothers headed up the yacht, another taxi came by, dropping off another former contestant. "The sister with an attitude, Leshawna!" Crhis yelled.
Upon hearing that name, Harold stopped walking and immediately turned his head. Sure enough, Leshawna was heading to the yacht. "What's up y'all! Long time, no see!" Leshawna put her signature on her sign-in sheet and headed up the boarding ramp.
Harold offered a hand to Leshawna as she was coming up. "Milady."
Leshawna chuckled before taking Harold's hand. "Milord."
The two continued to head up the boarding ramp. When they reached the dock, Sierra immediately took a picture of the two with her phone. "Oh my gosh! Are you two back together?"
"Well, I don't wanna brag, but-" Harold began to say.
"Nah. Harold and I are still just friends." Leshawna answered.
"Oh. Well, mind if I take a picture of you guys for my blog?"
"Go ahead girl, but next time, ask that BEFORE you take the picture." Leshawna said.
Two more taxis came, each dropping two contestants. One of the pairs were making out as they exited. "Looks like the next people to arrive are two of Total Drama's power couples." Chris said. "Zoey and Mike, and Geoff and Bridgette!"
Geoff and Bridgette stopped making out as their names were called. "We're here Geoff!"
"Alright! Time to party!" Geoff cheered.
Zoey walked up to Bridgette and Geoff and offered a hand. "Hi. I'm Zoey. It's so great to meet you two in person."
"And the guy with you is Mike, right?" Geoff asked. "You guys were like, totally kick butt in your seasons!"
"You really think so?" Mike asked.
"For real! In Season Four, you guys were timid, nervous wrecks, but then you guys dug down inside yourselves for each other and came out stronger. It totally ruled!"
"Geoff's right. You two really changed a lot after meeting each other." Bridgette explained.
"Totally. When you meet the right person, so many things change." Geoff said.
Zoey and Mike smiled. "Thanks! You two were some of my favorite cast members in Total Drama." Zoey told them.
"And it was great that you won Ridonculous Race, Geoff." Mike added.
Geoff widened his eyes. "Oh snap! I just realized. Where's Brody?"
"Brody's coming too?" Zoey asked.
"Yeah. I was gonna bring him as a guest. Bridgette even sent him the directions. I wonder where the dude is." Geoff said. Bridgette looked away awkwardly.
Soon, another cab came dropping off two more contestants. "Next we have two of the show's biggest softies Duncan and DJ!" Chris exclaimed.
Duncan glared at Chris from afar. "Keep talking, and I'll show you just how soft I am."
"Ah, sweet!" Geoff ran up to the two.
"Great to see you Geoff!" DJ said as he and Geoff high fived.
Duncan and Geoff fistbumped. "How's it going man?" Duncan asked.
"It's going great. And I'm totally psyched to get on the party boat. But I'm gonna wait until Brody gets here."
"I'll wait with you Geoff." Bridgette said.
"Alright. See you guys up there." DJ said.
Duncan and DJ started to walk towards the yacht. They saw Mike and Zoey were by the entrance, filling in their sign-in sheets. "Hey red." Duncan said.
"Oh! Hi Duncan." She gave her sheet back to Chef before high fiving Duncan. "It's great to see you again. Is Gwen coming too?"
"Yeah, she should be arriving in a little bit." Duncan answered. Zoey and Mike headed up the boarding ramp, as Duncan and DJ walked up to Chef. "Cute sailor costume Chef." Duncan taunted. "Can you do a little twirl for us?"
"Oh, I'm sorry Duncan. You're not on the list." Chef said.
"We both know that's a load of crap man. I was emailed an invitation like everyone else."
"Not! On! The list!" Chef yelled in Duncan's face. He then picked up Duncan and threw him into the water.
"Seriously?!" Duncan yelled.
Topher swam up next to him. "They wouldn't let you in either, huh?"
"...Who are you?"
DJ started writing down his signature. "Come on Chef. You know you can't keep Duncan off the ship. He was invited, and even if you keep blocking him, he'll just sneak his way on board anyway."
"Yeah I know. But it's about time that boy learned a thing about respect. And you could learn a thing about gratitude."
"Huh?" DJ asked in confusion.
"You gonna get on the boat or what?" Chef asked. DJ shrugged and went up the boarding ramp.
Duncan glared at Chef in annoyance from the water before someone offered a hand. "You need some help?" A girl asked. Duncan took a look at her. She was wearing a red shirt and dark skirt. She had dark hair in pigtails, two red ribbons on each one.
"Yeah, thanks." Duncan took her hand was lifted back onto the harbor.
The girl immediately put an arm around Duncan and got out a pink phone. "What are you-" Duncan began to ask.
"Smile!" She took a selfie of her and Duncan.
"Umm...who is that?" Chris asked.
"What a surprise. Chris doesn't know anything about shows he didn't host." A familiar voice said.
"I'd know that smart-aleck attitude from anywhere. Noah everybody!" Chris noticed that Noah wasn't the only one signing a sheet. He was accompanied by a young woman with long dark hair, an orange shirt, and red jacket who was also signing in. "And...some other girl." Chris touched his earpiece.
"Owen and I brought guests." Noah answered.
Chris got out his cellphone. "I thought we agreed that only Total Drama contestans could board this ship. I never invited either of those two girls. ...What do you mean we had a spinoff?!"
The girl next to Noah finished writing her signature and gave her sheet to Chef. "Wait, where's Owen? Wasn't he just with us?"
"Remember when we walked past that pretzel stand, babe?" Noah asked.
"Yeah, and we all had one."
"That's the problem. Owen had ONE."
Owen stuffed a pretzel dog in his mouth. "Ok, now how about this time I have a CHEESE pretzel dog?" The annoyed worker gave another pretzel dog to Owen, who finished it in no time. "Ok, now how about next time, I have a Pepperoni Pretzel?" The worker gave a pepperoni covered soft pretzel to Owen. It only took slightly longer to finish than the pretzel dogs. "Ooh, ooh. Now how about a Raisin Pretzel?"
"You already had that a while ago sir." The worker told him.
"...I never said I was only gonna have ONE of everything."
"Wait 'babe?'" Duncan asked as he and the girl who pulled him up walked up to the yacht.
"That's what I said Duncan." Noah said. "This is my girlfriend, Emma. The one who pulled you up is her younger sister, Kitty."
"Whoa. She's way out of your league Noah. " Duncan said, not out of mockery, but in genuine amazement.
Emma looked annoyed, while Noah just smiled. "I know, right?"
Chris sighed in annoyance from the yacht. "Ok. I guess we have 23 people boarding the yacht. Emma and Kitty can board as guests, but they won't be able to take up our special surprise. Why they'd say Ridonculous Race is a spin-off of Total Drama is beyond me."
"Agreed. A spin-off is a byproduct of a larger production that's marketed by it's association with said production." Harold said as he walked up to Chris. "Ridonculous Race shares the same producers, but it's a completely different show where it's only connection with Total Drama were some of the contestants happening to be on both. It's not like it was called 'Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race' or anything."
Chris walked off in annoyance. "Ugh. If I knew I was gonna encourage another Harold ramble, I wouldn't have said anything."
"Hey wait!" Topher called out to Kitty as she, Emma, Noah, and Duncan headed up the yacht. "Aren't you gonna pull me up too?"
Kitty was about to turn around before Chris yelled out. "Help him out, and you're banned from the party!"
"...Sorry." Kitty told Topher. The four of them continued to go up the boarding ramp.
"Oh come on!" He then noticed a familiar face walk by. "Ooh, ooh! Sky! Think that you can convince them to let me on?"
"Sorry. I might get banned if I do." Sky said as she walked by Topher. "Next is the runner up from Pahkitew Island. It's the olympian in training, Sky!" Chris announced.
Sierra gasped and ran down the yacht. "It's so great to meet you Sky!"
"Oh. Well, thanks. It's nice to meet you too-" She was interupted by the flash from Sierra's phone.
"I heard that a lot of the Pahkitew Island contestants were blacklisted, but I'm glad that at least you're here. You and Dave provided the best drama in your season."
Sky quickly got annoyed by this and just signed her sheet. "I'd prefer it if we don't talk about that."
"You sure?" Chris asked. "Because your failure of a relationship with Dave is just about the only thing fans find interesting about you."
Sky clenched her fist as she headed up the boarding ramp.
Geoff and Bridgette continued to wait in front of the harbor. "Seriously, where is he? You texted Brody the address, right?"
"Of course I did. Maybe something came up." Bridgette answered.
""Hi Geoff! Hi Bridgette!" The two turned their heads to see Owen walk up to them, carrying a bean and cheese burrito.
"Owen!" Bridgette ran up to Owen and have him a hug. "How have you been? It's been years since we've seen each other."
"It's been going great! Me and Noah have gotten pretty famous for all the reality shows we've been on recently. I even won my second show ever, Pie in the Sky!"
"Dude, that's sweet!" Geoff exclaimed. "Anyway, we'll meet up with you on the boat later. Right now, me and Bridge are-"
"Geoff! That you dude?!" A young man with short brown hair wearing a sleeveless pink shirt ran up to Geoff and Bridgette. He was holding a burrito in his hand. "Oh, sweet! You were right Owen. THIS is where we're supposed to be."
"Brody?!" Bridgette asked in shock. "Um, I mean, hey! Great to see you."
"I found him at a burrito stand after the bagel stand guy cut me off." Owen said.
"Hey, Owen!" Noah called from the yacht. "We've been waiting for you buddy!"
"Be right there!" Owen ate his burrito in one gulp and ran up to the yacht.
"What took you so long?" Geoff asked.
"It's a funny story. Bridgette, you got the address wrong. It's 475 Unwine Avenue, not 745."
"Oh. My finger must have slipped." Bridgette said chuckling nervously.
"I feel that. I mess up with numbers all the time, you know?" Geoff asked.
"Totally. It's so weird. We use numbers to count all the time, but you can never actually count on numbers." Brody said.
Geoff stared at Brody in amazement. "Bro. Deep."
(Confessional: Bridgette)
"It...wasn't an accident that I gave Brody the wrong address. I like Brody and all. He's a really nice guy. But whenever he's around, Geoff gets a little..."
"Dude, it's so cool that our high school reunion party's gonna be on a yacht." Brody said.
"Umm...it's a Total Drama reunion party." Bridgette told him.
"Of course there's gonna be drama. Is it really high school without it?" Brody asked.
Both Geoff and Brody laughed. "Good one bro." Geoff told Brody.
Geoff and Brody fistbumped eachother. "Boom." They simultaneously said.
(Confessional: Bridgette)
"...Yeah."
"Who knew that Geoff could be even dumber than usual?" A girl's voice asked.
The three turned to the direction of the voice and saw two familiar, evil faces. "It's the unholy union, Alejandro and Heather!" Chris announced.
Geoff and Bridgette glared as the two walked by, specifically, at Alejandro. "What are you guys doing here? You don't even like any of the other contestants." Bridgette asked.
"True. But we're NOT gonna pass up on a yacht party." Heather answered as she and her boyfriend walked to the yacht.
With effort, Topher pulled himself back up onto the harbor. As Heather and Alejandro walked past him, Alejandro immediately bumped into Topher, sending him back into the water. "Still as cold as ever I see." Chris stated.
"That IS why we're so beloved." Alejandro answered. He and Heather signed their sheets and headed up the boarding ramp.
"Great. Alejandro's here." Trent said sarcastically.
"I can't believe Chris allowed him on. Especially for what he did to one of the Drama Brothers." Justin complained.
"Trust me Justin, I hate him too for nearly feeding me to the sharks, but we're here for a good time. So let's just-" Cody began to say.
"Not that." Justin interupted. "Ever since he's shown up, he's been the new pretty face for Total Drama. The only time fans talk about me is when they compare me to him."
"...Dude, seriously?" Trent asked.
"Hey, Al! I did the charming girls to manipulate them thing first!" Justin yelled as Alejandro and Heather walked past the Drama Brothers.
"True. But I have both looks, AND brains." Alejandro replied.
"Man. Those two give me some serious Ice Dancer vibes." Brody said as he was signing the sheet given to him by Chef.
"Believe me. Compared to Alejandro, the Ice Dancers were saints." Geoff replied. The three of them headed up the boarding ramp.
"Ughh...guess we're having 24 people on the ship now." Chris said annoyed.
"Your chi has started to shrink. Reminders of Ridonculous Race seems to make you quite insecure."
Chris widened his eyes and turned around, seeing Dawn right behind him. "When did you...never mind. It's the creepy nature lover, Dawn! ...Chef, toss me a sign-in sheet for her." A clipboard was tossed at Chris' head by Chef. "Ow!"
"Heh heh heh." Chef chuckled.
"Good aim Chef." A voice complimented. Chef turned his head and saw Gwen standing in front of him.
"It's the-" Chris held his head in pain. "Ow...it's the Goth Girl, Gwen!"
"Alright!" Owen, Leshawna, Duncan, Bridgette, and Zoey cheered.
Chef gave Gwen a sheet of paper attached to a clipboard. "Put your signature at the bottom of this sign-in sheet."
Gwen took the clipboard and started to put down her signature. "Any reason why Chris couldn't have just used one sheet for all of the people coming?"
"Agreed. Wasting paper like this just means trees were taken down for nothing." Dawn said.
"Oh, you'll see." Chris smiled. "In the meanwhile Gwen, how about you come up here? There's a lot of boyfriends for you to kiss." Gwen threw her clipboard at Chris's head. "Ow! Yeah, I was kind of expecting that one coming. Worth it though."
Gwen walked up the boarding ramp, Leshawna going down to hug her. "Girl, it has been TOO long!"
"Tell me about it." Gwen and Leshawna broke the hug as they got onto the yacht. "I heard that you went back to doing a bunch of reality tv shows?"
"You got that right. Those fools over at Ridonculous Race should have put ME on the Reality TV pros. Me and Tyler have been making our marks there way before either Owen or Noah. Uh, no offense you two."
"None taken." Owen said.
As Chris was rubbing his head he spotted one more person filling in their sign in sheet. "And here comes our final boarder. Dirt eating farm boy, Scott!"
Scott gave Chef his clipboard and walked up the boarding ramp. Other than some glares from Dawn and Mike, and Sierra taking a picture of him like she was of all the Total Drama contestants, nobody really reacted to his arrival. "Thanks for the warm welcome." Scott said sarcastically.
(Confessional: Gwen)
"I...don't care for Soctt. I didn't think much of him back in All-Stars, but then Zoey, Mike, and Cameron told me about some of the things he did in Season 4. Weird to think about how a simple minded farm boy could be so manipulative."
(Confessional: Duncan)
"Originally, Courtney was going to be coming to this party, but then she heard that Scott was coming, and decided not to come. Can't exactly blame her for wanting to avoid that awkward reunion."
Chris popped his head in the control room. "Alright B, time to set sail!" Chris yelled.
B gave a thumbs up before starting up the yacht. Soon, the yacht departed from the harbor.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Topher yelled as he ran up the boarding ramp. However, the boarding ramp withdrew as Topher was running up it, causing him to fall into the water once again.
"We are NOT having an Ezekiel 2.0!" Chris yelled to Topher as the boat departed. Two smaller cabin cruisers followed the yacht.
(Confessional: Sky)
"Looks like I'm the only person from Pahkitew Island who's on the ship. Jasmine and Shawn told me that they'd be busy hiking in Australia, and I know that Max, Scarlett, Ella and Topher were all blacklisted. Still, I was hoping that there'd be at least one person from my season. Except Dave of course. Or Sugar. Or Leonard. Or Amy." Sky rubbed her arm awkwardly. "On second thought...maybe there's not a lot of people on Pahkitew Island who I'd want here after all."
The former contestants were inside the buffet room, either eating, or just mingling. Inside it was a miniature stage, The Drama Brothers singing on it while B was operating the soundboard.
"I'll tell you why!" Trent sang.
"It'll just lead to a heartache." Justin, Cody, and Harold sung.
"I'll tell you why!"
"It'll just be a big mistake."
"...How long until those guys get sued?" Emma asked. She, Noah, and Owen were standing together, Owen scarfing down on a bunch of food he was carrying in his arms.
"You mean, how long until they get sued AGAIN." Noah responded.
Kitty got the Drama Brothers in frame of her phone's camera and took a selfie. "Man, this is so cool! We're at a yacht party!"
Sierra walked up next to her, and took a picture of the Drama Brothers with her phone. "And that's not all! We're partying with the cast of Total Drama! I've dreamed about this ever since I was a little girl!"
"...Weren't you about 16 when the show came out?" Noah asked.
"Semantics." Sierra responded. Kitty soon put her phone in front of Sierra and took a selfie with her.
Sky was carrying a plate of beans and steak, looking for an empty table.
"Your actions aren't matching with what you desire." A voice said.
"Huh?" Sky turned around and saw Dawn behind her. "Oh. You're Dawn, right?"
Dawn nodded. "You don't have to isolate yourself just because you're worried about the situation with Dave. If you want to get to know the others, go and try it."
"What? Oh. I'm over the Dave stuff."
"No need to try and hide it from me. Your fear of the Dave situation is all over your aura. Right next to the inferiority complex you have in regards to your older sister."
Sky blinked a few times. "Leaving now." Sky hastily walked away from Dawn.
Scott walked up to Duncan, who was putting chicken on his plate. "So...does Courtney ever talk about me?"
Duncan raised his unibrow in confusion. "Why are you asking me?"
"Come on, all the fan blogs are talking about how you're friends with her and Gwen again."
Duncan groaned in annoyance. "All she told me is that you dumped her for a stupid reason. Seriously, drawing you with a rat tail? THAT'S the line for you?"
"Hey! I didn't ask for your opinion. I asked if she talked about me!"
Duncan shrugged. "Well, that's all I've heard her say about you man."
"...Can you talk with her about meeting up with me some time?"
"Are you for real dude?"
"Look, I'm not saying I miss her. Or her bossy attitude, or the eyes in her face, or how pretty she looks when she's mad." Scott let out a dreamy sigh. "But, if she's ever willing to apologize, and really wants me to forgive her-" Scott noticed that Duncan was already gone.
Duncan sat down at a table. Sitting there already were Gwen, Bridgette, Leshawna, and DJ. "Tell me I wasn't as bad as Scott when I was obsessed with getting Court's attention."
"No. You were a lot worse." Gwen smirked.
Leshawna turned to Bridgette who was absent mindedly poking at her food. "Where's Geoff?"
"Probably doing something stupid with Brody." Bridgette answered.
"Who?" Gwen asked.
"Geoff's best friend." DJ answered. "Nice guy, but whenever he's around, Geoff gets pretty dense."
"Is it that big a deal?" Duncan asked. "It's not like Geoff was ever Albert Einstein."
Geoff and Brody suddenly ran to the table. "Guys! You won't believe what this boat has." Geoff said.
"Check it!" Brody held out a red, oval shaped fruit with scaly spikes.
"This place has dragon fruit? Mama made some of the best smoothies with that stuff." DJ said.
"Man, who knew that this ship would have fruit meant for dragons on board?" Brody said.
"Dude. Do you think that means they have an actual dragon somewhere on the ship to feed it this stuff?" Geoff asked.
"Dude. Let's go find this ship's dragon!"
"Right on!" Geoff and Brody fistbumped each other before running out of the buffet room.
Bridgette took a look at Duncan. "Does that answer your question for you?"
Alejandro and Heather were standing by the punch bowl. "Honestly, I'm surprised Lindsiot isn't here." Heather said. "She couldn't resist the idea of Owen's yacht party back in Season 1."
"Apparently, she had a photoshoot for a magazine today and couldn't come." Alejandro replied.
Heather raised an eyebrow. "Wait, photoshoot?"
"Oh, you haven't heard? Lindsay's became a renowned model. Her looks and time on the show has made her quite succesful. She's probably the most succesful out of any of our cast mates."
Heather widened here eyes before scoffing. "Well, whatever. It's not like it matters."
"That's fair. After all, you might become the second most succesful Total Drama girl."
"Shut it!" Heather stormed off in annoyance.
(Confessional: Alejandro)
"I know that I shouldn't exploit Heather's insecurities for my own amusement, but she's so beautiful when she gets jealous."
(Confessional: Heather)
"Ugh! I gotta take my anger out on somebody. Who can I ruin the day of?"
Heather walked around in frustration before noticing Mike and Zoey sitting together at a table. "Bingo."
"It's too bad Cam got sick. I would have loved him to be here with us." Zoey said.
"Same here." Mike agreed. "We should bring him something when we get back."
"Hey! You guys were the finalists of All-Stars!" Heather happily greeted as she walked up to them and took a seat.
"Oh! Hi Heather!" Zoey said.
"Right now me and Zoy just want to eat alone, but later on-" Mike began to say.
"Oh, no worries, I wasn't be staying here long." Heather said. "And you're right. You guys should use all the quality time you have left."
"Um...have left?" Zoey asked.
"Yeah. I mean after all, who knows when Mike's alternate personalities will pop back up? Then it'll be hard to get any quality time with him, huh? ESPECIALLY if Mal comes back. That'll make your relationship pretty dangerous, huh?"
"Um..." Zoey began to say.
Mike frowned. "They're gone. My disorder's been cured, and Mal's been taken care of."
"Oh! That's good to hear then. Hope you guys are keeping your relationship interesting without dealing with Mike's disorder though." Heather said.
"What are you talking about?" Zoey asked.
"Oh, you know. You said so yourself, you love oddballs. But now that Mike's personalities are gone, the most interesting part about him is gone. I was just wondering if you guys have been doing something other than regular hand holding or staring at each other's eyes to keep the spark going. I wouldn't want your feelings for each other to fizzle out before you find yourselves trapped in a loveless relationship with each other, you know?"
Mike and Zoey just stared at Heather in uncomfortable silence. "Well, bye!" Heather exclaimed before walking off.
(Confessional: Heather)
"Man, did that feel good."
Soon, the Drama Brothers finished their song and got off stage. Cody confidently struted to the table Gwen, Duncan, DJ, Bridgette, and Leshawna were sitting at.
"I was pretty good up there, huh Gwen?" He asked.
"You're part of a boyband. That kinda eliminates being 'good' by default." Gwen replied while a smile.
"Not to mention that you just ripped off another song anyway." Bridgette said.
"What was the deal with that anyway?" Leshawna asked. "Ain't Trent a songwriter?"
Cody sighed. "It was Justin's idea. He wanted us to get our fame back ASAP. Apparently, actually writing songs was too slow for him."
"Well, the legal battle you guys get into might get you some fame." Bridgette joked.
"...I know you're joking, but that was actually Justin's plan." Cody said. He then took a look at Duncan, and saw that he was sitting next to Gwen.
(Confessional: Cody)
"I'm not gonna lie. When Gwen dumped Duncan back in All-Stars, I was over the moon with joy. Now I find out that Duncan and Gwen are friends again, and it just makes me think it'll be a matter of time before they get back together again. And it makes me realize how much of a bonehead I was acting like. I said this before. As long as Gwen's happy, I should be happy too."
"You gonna stare at me all day or something?" Duncan asked.
Cody took a breath. "I'm...I'm sorry for how I acted in Season 3 Duncan."
Duncan seemed surprised but shrugged. "No big deal man. I more than got even with you back in Australia anyway."
Chris got up on stage and tapped a microphone. "Alright everybody. I mentioned this to the cameras, but now, it's time to show you guys our special surprise!"
"Special surprise?" DJ asked.
"Emma, Kitty, you guys unfortunately are going to have to leave the buffet room. But see if you can find Geoff to bring him here."
"Aww." Kitty moaned.
"What's this about?" Owen wondered.
Noah widened his eyes and facepalmed. "Oh no..." Noah walked towards the stage.
"Noah?" Emma asked.
"This whole yacht thing was just a scheme to trick us into doing another season of Total Drama, wasn't it?" Noah accused Chris.
"What?!" Most of the former contestants reacted.
"Noah my man, please. Do you really think I could force you to do a Total Drama season against your will without a contract?" Chris asked.
Gwen widened her eyes before standing up. "The sign-in sheets. Those were just pieces of the new contract, weren't they?! That's why you had one sheet per person."
"...Whoa. You guys know me too well." Chris said, stunned.
(Confessional: Sierra)
"I knew from the beginning that the sign-in sheet was a contract for the show. But I couldn't say that out loud and risk ruining the reunion party."
Chef entered the buffet room, carrying Geoff in one hand and Brody in the other.
"Oh come on dude." Brody complained. "Can you at least TELL us where the dragon is if we're not allowed to look for it?"
Chef dropped the surfer dudes and took a look at the room. The faces ranged from shock, to anger, to excitement. "Cat's out of the bag, huh?"
Chris shrugged. "Noah and Gwen are right. We didn't only invite you to party, though there'll absolutely be some of that going on. We also invited you for the new season of Total Drama. Total Drama Voyage!"
"Woooo-hoooo!" Owen cheered. He was met with glares by Noah, Gwen, and Heather. "What?"
Heather walked up to B. "Since you're working for Chris, I take it you were in on this?"
B shrugged and made a 'so-so' gesture.
"What do you mean 'kind of'?" Alejandro asked.
"Beverly only knew that we would be holding another season. He didn't know that the guest list was the contract." Chris said. "Maybe next time, you guys should actually read before you sign." Chris stated. "Still, even if you weren't legally bound to compete, you wouldn't want to miss out on a chance to win a ton of cash, or this yacht, would you?"
"Excuse me, did you say we could win this yacht?" Leshawna asked.
"Yup. See, this season, we're doing things a little differently. Both the runner up AND the winner of this season will be getting a reward. Second place will be getting 100 grand, the prize in season 1. While first place not only gets a million big ones, but full ownership of the S.S McLean!"
This caught almost everybody's interest "Well, mama has wanted a new vehicle to replace her bus. I'm sure she'd be fine with a yacht." DJ said.
Sky lighted up. "Yacht or no, I'm more than ready to compete again. This time, I'll win it."
"Guys. Have you forgotten how many time Chris has done this song and dance?" Gwen asked. "No matter how much money or gifts he has as the reward, there's no way it'll be worth nearly dying for the umpteenth time."
"I get what you're saying girl, but let's be real." Leshawna said. "I survived three seasons of Chris' crap, and you survived four. Going through this stuff again is less of a risk than getting sued because of Chris' contract."
Gwen sighed in annoyance. "Fine. Let's just get this over with."
Kitty suddenly came next to Leshawna and Gwen. "Alright! I'm gonna be competing on Total Drama with several of the old cast mates!" She got out her phone and took a selfie of the three of them.
"...Please don't tell me this is a regular thing you do." Gwen responded
"Up up up!" Chris yelled. "You, your sister, and Brody never competed in Total Drama. You guys aren't competing."
"You do realize that the three of us signed the same contract you tricked everyone into signing, right?" Emma asked Chris.
"Yeah. I'm pretty sure by your own rules, we HAVE to participate." Kitty added.
Chris widened his eyes before glaring at Chef. "Chef! You gave them contracts?!"
"You said make sure every person who comes that isn't on the blacklist signs in! It ain't my fault that you never specified any further!" Chef shot back.
Chris sighed. "Fine. Whatever. Everybody follow me outside."
(Confessional: Heather)
"Not gonna lie. I'm pretty pissed that Chris tricked me into doing another season of this stupid show. But on the other hand, crushing everyone in another season is probably the most fun thing this cruise has to offer.
Everybody followed Chris to the skydeck. "This season, we'll be sailing to various different locations for challenges. Islands, cities, beaches."
"So, it's like a seafaring edition of World Tour?" Cody asked.
"If you tell us we have to sing this season, I'm throwing myself overboard." Duncan said.
"Relax. You won't need to sing this season...most of the time." Chris pointed to the left side of the boat. "If you look to the starboard side, you'll notice that two cabin cruisers are next to the S.S Mclean."
"That's the port side, genius." Noah pointed out.
"He's right. Starboard is the right side of the bow. Port is the left side. Gosh!" Harold said.
Chris frowned but continued. "There is another thing from World Tour that we're bringing back this season. This season, there'll be three teams competing in challenges. The first place team gets to continue staying in the yacht until the next challenge, while second and third place have to stay in the cabin cruisers."
"And the team that gets third place in a challenge has to vote someone off, right?" Bridgette asked.
"Correct. However, hidden somewhere on this yacht-"
"Is the Chris McLean immunity statue. A wooden carving of your head that, if found by a contestant, they can use it to save themselves from elimination if they have the most votes." Scott interupted. "Seriously Chris, we know how you do things."
Chris glared at Scott. "How's this then? Each of the three teams will have a leader, who I'll be selecting. The leader's vote in elimination ceremonies will be counted as two votes. There will also be several portions of challenges that requires the leaders to go against each other."
That took the cast by surprise. "Dibs on being a leader!" Heather said.
"Chris said that HE'D be the one selecting the leaders." Alejandro told her.
"However, she did call correctly. Each of the team's leaders will be one of the winners from the first three seasons of Total Drama. Owen, Duncan, and Heather. Step forward."
The three walked up to Chris. "Whoa. I was never the leader of anything before." Owen said.
"And if you're not careful, you might not be leader for long." Chris said. "If a team leader is voted out before the merge, they get to pick someone else on the team to be the next leader. Or alternatively, I pick who'll be the next leader if they don't pick anybody."
"So, it's possible for anybody to be the team leader then?" Trent asked.
"Correct!" Chris answered.
"Out of curiosity, why wasn't Mike a leader?" Zoey asked. "He won All-Stars."
"Eh. Most fans hated All-Stars, and Mal did most of the legwork for Mike anyway."
"Yeah. Without his personalities, he's just kinda...there." Heather said.
"That's pretty rude to say." Sky said.
"But not exactly inaccurate." Noah replied.
"I'm right here you know." Mike said to Noah.
"Now. Each of you three will get to pick one person to have on your team automatically." Chris told the contestants.
"Wait, we don't start off with a full team?" Heather asked.
"Correct. You'll collect the rest of your team during the first challenge. Owen, you're up first. Who will you pick?"
"My little buddy Noah of course!" Owen answered.
Noah smiled and walked up next to Owen. "I guess if I have to be roped into this, I'd want to be on your team."
"Alright. How about you Duncan?" Chris asked.
Duncan took a look at the contestants. "I guess...Zoey."
Zoey smiled and walked up to Duncan. "I'm surprised I was your first pick."
"You have good gymnastics, and you're one of the least likely people to stab someone in the back. Figured it would be good to have you from the get go."
"Or maybe you're beginning to fall for her." Heather taunted.
"Zoey IS the girl that fans pair with Duncan the third most. Far behind Courtney and Gwen though." Sierra said. Duncan and Zoey both rolled their eyes.
"Heather, you're up." Chris said.
Alejandro was about to walk towards Heather. "I choose, B." Heather said.
"Que?" Alejandro asked.
B looked surprised at this but shrugged, walking towards Heather.
(Confessional: Heather)
"I didn't see much of Season Four, but I do know that B would be extremely useful to have. Besides, I'm sure I'll pick up Alejandro in the challenge. It's not like any other team would want him."
"Now, each of the leaders get to choose a name for their team. Owen?"
Owen went deep into thought. "Hmm. Screaming Gopher 2? Nah. The Reality TV Pros? No, more people other than me and Noah will be on the team. Sweet Strawberry Shortcakes, I didn't think it would be this hard."
"The Strawberry Shortcakes it is!" Chris declared. The logo of a pink circle with a drawing of a piece of strawberry shortcake appeared.
Owen looked surprised, but shrugged. "I'm cool with that."
"Of course you'd be." Noah replied.
"Duncan?" Chris asked.
"The Killer Blades." Duncan said. The logo of a dark black circle with a blood stained knife in the center of it appeared.
"Not bad. Appreciate how you themed the name after the Killer Bass too." Chris said. "Heather, you?"
"Team Heather." She answered.
"Of course that's what she calls it." Leshawna says.
The logo of a yellow circle with Heather's head in the center appeared.
Trent started to notice something along the horizon. An eerie looking island that had a massive cliff in the shape of a skull. "Hold on...is that?"
"That's right Trent. Our first destination, and the location for the first half of the first challenge will be at Boney Island!"
"Whoa. It's been years since the last time I stepped foot on that place." Geoff said.
"Wait, did you say first half?" Noah asked.
"Yup. The leaders and their selected team mate will search around Boney Island, recruiting people they find. After they have a team of eight, teams will race to the beach side of the island for the second half of the challenge. We'll tell you what that half is when the time comes."
"Wait, search around?" Sky asked.
"So, do we just wait around the yacht for a while while everyone else goes deeper in Boney Island?" Owen asked.
"Oh, we have a faster way. Chef!" Chris yelled.
Chef Hatchet got out a remote control with a big red button. As soon as he pressed the button, a portion of the skydeck sprung upwards, sending all the contestants flying towards Boney Island except for Owen, Noah, Duncan, Zoey, Heather, and B.
"Emma!" Noah yelled in concern.
"Mike!" Zoey shouted in worry.
Heather just watched as Alejandro landed on Boney Island along with the other contestants. "Meh."
"Will everybody get saved from Boney Island? And who's going to be joining which team?" Chris asked to the camera. "Find out next time on Total! Drama! Voyage!"

And that was the first chapter. I spent a lot of time going back and forth on which contestants I'll be using. People I really wanted to include such as Courtney, Brick, and Sammy I unfortunately cut for the sake of not having too many contestants. However, I'm sastified with my final choices overall. Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter and are looking forward to the next one!
