A/N: Ok this chapter is the harder one to read, well the last half anyway. I already put another warning at the beginning of the sex part just for people that don't like that kind of stuff don't go there and read it. For the ones that don't mind, you go ahead and read the rest of the chapter. I want to thank you to the people that are reading this, even though I notice that I don't have many people in this story, I hope that will change as the story continue. Chapter 3: The Clan Initiation

( Sometime later )

Ellie was walking inside a mansion. The corridor she was walking through was dark, cold, and longer than she remembered. No… this can't be happening again. Then she hears a loud scream in the distance. Nooooo… DAD! She yelled while running toward the sound, but the corridor was getting longer and longer without end. FATHER!... hold on, I'm coming…" Ellie yells again while continuing to run forward without finding the end of the corridor.

Don't come here… my child… get away from this place. She hears her father's voice in the distance.

DAD!... I am coming… I'm not going to leave you… not again. Ellie yells and after feeling like running for an eternity… She finally gets to the end of the corridor. DAD! She yells again as soon as she enters the big room in front of her. The place looks like an old monastery, with Saints and God statues all around the walls. Big columns filed on both sides were holding the ceiling of the place and in the end an altar with a lot of candles on the side. As Ellie started to walk in, she saw her dad standing in front of the altar, but also Ellie could see the shadowy figure behind him.

Ellie… you should not come here… all I did was to save you… my time here is over… I have to end this alone. She hears her father say with a sad tone.

NO!... Father… we can end all this together… we can kill him.

You know that I never want this burden to be passed to you… you deserve a better life, my child.

There is no better life for me than fighting evil… this has been in our blood for generations.

I'm sorry… baby… I really do… I just wanted you to be safe.

At that moment the shadow figure moves closer to her father from behind. Ellie saw how the man used one of his hands to hold her father's arm on his back and uses his other hand to turn her father's head to the side.

The man looks at Ellie and smiles. Don't worry… little princess… I will leave some of his blood for you to drink… when you turn come to become my vampire sleeve… Halloween will be the day that you will be remembered well. The man smiles at her again before opening his mouth and lowering his head toward her father's neck and biting him. Blood starts to get out of her father's neck and down over his body while the vampire lord sucks him dry in front of her.

NOOOOOOO!

Ellie screamed louder before opening her eyes and sitting up violently on the bed she was sleeping on a few minutes ago.

A man quickly sat on the bed beside her and held her tight. "Relax… girl… it was just a nightmare," said Joel while trying to calm her down. "Breath slowly… that will help you."

Ellie turns her head and looks at him. "Where am I? And where Is my father?" she said, a little confused. And abruptly try to push the man away from her.

Joel notices that and moves his hand away from her. "Ellie is me … Joel… remember?" he said while moving up from the bed and away from her.

"Joel? The old hunter?... where is my… what are you dining here?"

"You're in a cabin that I rent in the forest… I brought you here after we got into a fight with some vampire at the motel… you're staying," Joel walks toward the small kitchen there and grabs a hot mug from the top of the stove, and walks back to the bed.

Ellie put her hand on her head trying to get her mind clear. Yeah, what she saw a few minutes before was a dream. Her father is already dead. "I don't get it… how did I end here?" she said, trying to remember what happened. Then she feels a little burning pain in her shoulder and starts to remember the fight. "Yeah… I start to remember the fight…" she said before turning her attention toward Joel. "You were there too… why?"

Joel moves closer to the bed. "Here… this will help…" He said while standing his arm toward her with a mug in his hand.

Ellie looks at the mug and then back at him. "No… thanks… the last time you give me something it makes me sleep and now I barely remember how I got here."

"Sorry about that, but you needed the rest." he moved the mug up to his mouth and took a sip of it. "Don't need to worry about this, only tea is not going to affect you this time…" he extended his arm again and offered her the drink.

Ellie moves her hand and pushes him away from her. "How long have I been out?" she asked while sitting now on the edge of the bed. She slowly moves her hand toward the shoulder where she gets stabbed.

As Joel sees that Ellie is not going to drink the tea, he moves it to his mouth again and starts to drink it himself. He walks away from the bed and toward the front window. "How the shoulder? Do you feel better now?"

Turn her head toward him. "You didn't answer my question. How long have I been sleeping here?"

Joel moves the curtain and looks outside before answering. "I think… it's been a week…"

Ellie opens her eyes wider as soon she hears him. "What!" she yells before standing up and starting to move around the room. "Are you fuckling kidding me!... A week? what the hell do you give me?" she yells again while walking in a menacing way toward Joel.

Joel quickly turns around and extends one arm toward Ellie to stop her. "I told you that you need the rest… so your wound could heal better…"

"Heal!... What about the vampires? Or the police? They probably have been looking for me after what happened in the motel." She continues yelling while moving closer to Joel and start picking her finger on the man's chest.

After a minute, Joel grabs her hand to stop her. "Relax Ellie… you're going to hurt yourself again."

"Relax? Stop calling me by my name… I'm not your friend… especially not after this." She turns around and moves away from him. I can believe this… why… why…this is happening to me. Said Ellie talking to herself now and ignoring Joel.

Joel looks at her and tries not to smile. "If something makes you feel better… The vampires have been quiet for the past week… and the police… well…"

Ellie turns around and looks at Joel. "Well, what?" she asked.

At that moment the door of the cabin opens and both Joel and Ellie look toward it. "Oh… you wake up girl… that is good news." said the man after closing the door behind him.

"Bill?"

"I thought you would be sleeping for every girl… hope you feel better now," said Bill while moving deeper inside.

For Joel's comfort, Ellie moves her attention to him and walks toward Bill. "How long have you been here?" she asked the big man.

"Three days I guess… time flies fast these days… Sorry I wasn't here when you woke up. I've been fighting to get an internet signal out here."

"So you've been here for three days and you didn't wake me up?" she asks while giving a mad look at Joel.

"Sorry about that… girl, but Joel was right you need time to heal… You didn't look good when I arrived here, so I thought that it was better to let you sleep so you can heal," he said after putting his phone away and a hand on her shoulder. "You don't worry, we keep an eye on the vampire activities out there… just in case our vampire friends did something bad to the town or tried to send more men to find you. But so far, nothing." Bill walks away from her and toward the kitchen. Did you prepare something to eat… Joel? I think our young lady here must be hungry and so do I.

Joel crosses his arm in front of his chest. "I'm not a good cook, but you can warm some canned food from the cabinet if you like."

"Man… how can you do this all alone if you don't know how to cook?" said Bill while moving away from the kitchen. He moves to the corner of the cabin and grabs a big bag from the floor and turns around to look at Ellie. "Here… I brought some of your stuff," he said before throwing the bag on top of the bed.

Ellie looks at it and smiles. "Thanks… I hope you bring all my guns and some clothes too," she said while moving toward the bed.

"I bring another bag with some… is on the other side of the bed… including a new phone," said Bill.

Ellie turns her head and looks at him. "A new phone? What happened to my old one and the rest of my stuff in the motel?" she asked not looking toward Joel.

"Yeah… about that," he said while moving to the kitchen. I'm afraid that all your things from the motel were confiscated by the local police," said Joel while taking out the can from the cabinet.

"Shit!... I need to call the chief and let him know what happened."

"I don't think that is a good idea… right now," said Bill.

"Why? They can think that I was kidnapped or something."

"They already put a wanted warning everywhere… they think you're the one responsible for the shooting in the motel," said Joel while putting some soup in a metal cooking pot. Some people die or get injured by the bullets and some of them identify you running from there with another man."

"Fuck!... really? Now I have to clear out my name too?"

Bill walked toward a small desk in a corner where he had his laptop and some other electronic equipment and sat in the chair in front of it. "Sorry about that… but in the meantime, I've been trying to find where David and his new clan of vampires are hiding, but since the incident at the motel, they're playing low."

Ellie turns back to her stuff and opens the bag and starts to look inside it. "I hope you bring all my weapons…. Because now I'm really pissed off."

"Not all of them… but most of you favor one," answered Bill while continuing working on his laptop.

Ellie takes her crossbow out of the bag and checks it out, then puts it on top of the bed. As she continued taking out her weapons and put them on the bed, Joel turned around and reclaimed his body on the sink, and looked at her.

"You have some nice pieces there… some of them look old fashioned… Where do you get them?"

Ellie turns her head and looks at him. "They were made by…" she stops as she does not want to talk about her father in front of him. They may be old-fashioned, but they do their job well," she said before continuing. "Besides those are better than your normal guns… those don't work on vampires… you know that right?"

Joel walks toward a small table on the other side of the bed and grabs a big gun from inside the drawer. "Yeah… those maybe don't work on them, but this one." he moved the big gun in front of him and looked at it. "This baby I call El Diablo… it did not shoot normal bullets. I make some special ammunition for it… that works perfectly on vampires."

"Don't tell me!... Ultraviolet bullets? I already have one of those… so that is nothing new," said Ellie while continuing to check her guns.

"Nothing can match El Diablo… I can tell you that," he said proudly.

"Whatever old man…" Ellie turns her head toward Bill. "Do you find anything on him? He is planning something for Halloween I know… and we need to find what."

"I don't don't have anything yet… if he is planning something… he is doing it underground."

"That bastard is clever… he knows now that I'm after him… maybe we can use that"

"Are you crazy… girl? You are still recovering, you can do that."

"I'm fine Bill… and we don't have too much time. Halloween will be in a few days. We need to find him."

"I have been checking all the places in this town where they could be used to hide, but nothing so far. The only place that they could be used is the local cemetery at the end of town, but it looks too small… to be a hideout."

"OK… if that is the only place you have I can go and check it out."

"Oh no, you don't… you will stay here why I check out the place… you need more rest and-" Joel was interrupted quickly.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" she said moving back to the bed and starting to grab some of her weapons. I will take a shower and change my clothes… and when I get out… I'm going to that place. "Besides, who made you the boss here? This is my job to finish and you're not going to get in my way again..."

"Fine… but you need to eat first… you lost a lot of blood and if you're going to fight some vampire you need your strength."

"He is right Ellie you need to eat something…" said Bill while looking at her. I will check the internet and see if I can find any information about that cemetery…"

Okay… fine I will take a shower and eat… but I'm going there after that." Ellie walks to the other side of the bed and grabs the bag. She takes out the clothes she is going to put on and walks toward the bathroom. "Hey… Bill!... keep an eye on him… and don't let him go there when I'm in the bathroom..." cemetery… and deal with this… if that motherfucker thinks that he scares me… he is wrong." okay?" Ellie said before entering the bathroom and slamming the door hard.

"You got it… boss," answered Bill.

"That girl is stubborn as hell… she is really lucky to be alive," said Joel looking at the bathroom door.

"You don't have any idea… and if you think that a little wound will stop her… you're mistaken," said Bill while looking at the bathroom too.

Joel turns his head and looks toward Bill. "That is going to get her killed… one day."

"She is hard to kill, I can tell you… but I wanted to thank you for saving her life… again."

Joel picks up his coat and starts to put his weapons on it. After he finishes he walks toward the man. "Are you sure about that place?"

"I need to check what I can find first… but this is our best guess so far."

Ellie takes out her clothes as soon as she gets into the bathroom and turns the water on. She moves in front of the mirror and looks at her shoulder wound. It was healing well, and she didn't know how it was so fast. Ellie looks at the other scar on her skin including the one on her right eyebrow. Fighting vampires is a dangerous profession, but it was in her blood. After a few minutes, she gets into the bathtub and quickly goes under the hot water. As it was already the end of October it was getting cold there. While the water hit her body. Ellie closes her eyes and starts to think about some of her father's words.

I don't want this life for you… baby girl. I want you to have a normal life… find some friends and a good man to love. I know it will be hard but I know that it will be one out there for you. One that can help you and that you can spend the rest of your life with. I know you want to be like me, but I don't want this life for you… I don't want you to end up alone out here or worse… dead.

Ellie always thinks of those words her father told her before David killed him. Yeah, he wants that for her, but a normal life won't work for her. Hunter vampire is her life now and she will avenge her father even if that costs her life. But something was intriguing her… Joel. Who is really this man and why does he always show up to help her? And even if he looks a little old… maybe… just maybe she likes him a little.

( A few days early in another place )

David was seated in his throne room checking some papers when he heard a knock on the door. "Enter and I hope it is important… I don't have time to waste," he said while watching the door of the room get opened. Then he saw one of his vampire men walk in with two teenagers behind him. They were a boy and a girl and that made David put the papers on the small table beside him and get them his full attention.

Soon the man ordered the boy to close the door, they started to walk toward the throne and stopped a few feet away from it. "Sorry to bother you master, but you told me to bring the new recruits candidates up as soon as they eat and clean up.

"New candidates? I don't remember having anyone today… especially some kids."

"Sorry master, but they're the ones that asked to join our group a few days ago."

"Oh really," said David as he stood up and walked toward them. He put his hand on his back as he examined them. "So… you two want to be part of our group?" he asked while moving around them.

"Yes sir… My name is Tomas and this is my sister Anna… we're good workers and we can save you well."

"Anna… hmm…" he said looking at the girl. "You two look too young to be part of my group… How old are you two?"

"I'm 18 sirs but I will be 19 in two months and my sister is 16, but she is a talented girl and a good worker too." the boy said quickly. "If you accept us… we can be a big help in your group if you give us the chance."

"Really!… I have to admit that you have some carriage boy… but how will you two kids help me?"

David continued walking until he was in front of them. Then he looks directly into the boy's eyes. "I like your determination and enthusiasm boy… I like men like that working with me, but of course, we're a special group and I need loyal men to work for me." he looks at the girl and smiles. "You need to pass our initiation… both of you. If you do… you in. If not… well, you can both will end up on the street again begging for food," David stay put in from of them waiting for the answer.

The two siblings look at him with determination. "We're ready for anything… sir," said the boy quickly.

David smile. "I like you, courageous boy… I guess that if you pass, you will get up quickly on my ranks." David put his hand on his back and looked at the pair with a firm expression. "Okay… your initiation will be done separately. My man here will take you Tomas to a room where my men will be waiting for you to help you with your initiation." David then looked into the girl's eyes. "And you… you will be coming with me so I can personally give you yours."

The boy looked at his sister with worried eyes. He didn't want the initiation, but he did not want to let her alone with the man no matter what. But right now, they don't have any choice. They come here asking the leader of the group to accept them and that they will do anything to be accepted, but he needs to protect his sister, and whatever they wanted to do to them he needs to be sure that she will be safe. They try to enter one of the other gangs but they do not even give them the chance, so this is the opportunity they need to be someone in this world.

After a few minutes, David walked toward the boy and put his hand on his shoulder. "I know what are you thinking… boy, but don't worry if you pass the test we will take care of you both I promise… now the question is you're in?" The girl turned to them and spoke.

"Is it okay brother… this is what we wanted to remember?… If we get in, all our problems will be over forever," she said with confidence.

"Are you sure you want to do this? There is no way back after this." the boy asked her.

"Don't worry brother, I will be fine… we can take care of ourselves, remember? This is our opportunity to be someone," she said with a convincing voice.

"You hear you sister boy… so what is going to be? Is your decision now… I am not going to force you to do anything you do not want to do."

The boy looked at his sister one more time and both nodded. "We're in," they said at the same time.

David smiled while putting his arm around him. He started to walk the boy toward the door where his man was waiting for him. "Don't worry boy… I will take care of you sister very well… and I promise that you two will be back together in no time." David stopped in front of his man. "I can tell you that after today all your problems are will be gone forever," he said before removing his arm from the boy's shoulder and pushing him softly toward the man. "Take him to the initiation room and inform the others what they need to do… I want them to treat him nice… he will be one of us soon."

"Yes… master." The man looks at the boy and smiles. "C'mon boy you and your sister came to the right place if you two wanted a change of life… so after today you will be part of something special." The man turned and opened the door. He guides the boy out of the room and closes the door behind him.

David turns around and starts walking toward his sister. Soon he was in front of her, David smiled. He has to give them some credit even if they don't know what they get into they have some determination. But what they don't know is that only one of them will have a chance here. David was glad about all this because it will give him a good distraction and give his men more time to find the hunter girl. He was frustrated about not getting the girl yet, but the new entertainment and food will calm him down a little.

After a few minutes of silence, he spoke to the girl. "I hope you two are as good as you said to be… I will be really disappointed if you two no for fulfill my expectation," he said looking at the girl in her eyes.

Anna looks at him and sees something that sparks her mind. "We're not going to disappoint you… sir," she said while smiling back. "My brother and I will do anything for you."

"Oh… I bet you do." he moved to her side and put his arm around her shoulder and started to guide her toward another door. "Now… Come with me… Anna… we have a lot to discuss."

"Cheer to that," answer Anna before starting to drink the wine.

Both of them drink a few more cups of wine while talking about things that have happened in the town before his group came here. David also asks her about her brother, and what they did to survive. After one hour the girl starts to feel strange and David smiles.
