Chapter 5
At 6am the next morning, Fitz awoke to the music he had set as his alarm. He wanted to lie in bed for a couple of hours more with Olivia, but he had an important distributor meeting at 8am and he wanted to be in the office by 7:30am. He arose out of bed and ambled into the bathroom to begin his morning routine. When he was done in the bathroom, he reentered his bedroom to find Olivia awake and sitting on the edge of the bed checking her phone. She looked up at him still marveling at the previous night and with a bit of lust in her voice said, "Good morning handsome."
Fitz walked over to her and bent down to give her a sweet kiss, "Good morning beautiful."
He began to walk towards his closet when she grabbed his hand and pulled him back to her so that he was standing directly in front of her. Olivia tugged off his towel, stroked his cock and said, "I want you to have a wonderful day at work today." She then eased her wet mouth over his tip and slowly sucked him in, causing Fitz to get an immediate erection. Once he was hard, she made her mouth wetter and pumped her o-shaped lips up and down his length. Fitz threw his head back in reverie. Olivia began to suck a little harder as she pumped her mouth on his cock. She released him from her mouth, stroked him with her hand, and began to lick his balls. She took each one in her mouth and hummed, giving him a similar sensation to the one he gave her last night.
"Mmmmmmm Livvie." He said in a barely audible pant.
Her mouth played with his balls for a little while longer, then went back to his blow job. She sucked his cock with more suction, flicking her tongue over the long vein on the underside of his dick. She swirled her tongue around the head and flicked the tip just under the base all while sucking harder and harder.
"Oh god Livvie, oh my fucking god. Ohohohohohoh ohohohohohoh. Shit!" Fitz exploded into her mouth and nearly collapsed onto her head. Olivia had sucked him so deep in her mouth, that he came right at the entrance of her throat, allowing her to swallow with ease.
She let his flaccid cock drop from her lips. Fitz was still panting, though less heavily. He was caressing her head as he came down from his orgasmic high. "My god, woman, you really know how to set the tone for my day. You have no idea how much I want to just take the day off and spend the day in bed with you. I swear, if I didn't have a meeting early this morning, I would keep you here and play with you in every room in this house." Fitz said as he picked up his towel and walked into his closet to get dressed. He knew he had to get clothes on his body quickly because all he could think of was the feel of every part of her body, and it was just their first time spending the night together. His dick started to get hard again, so he opted to strike up a neutral conversation. "I saw you checking your phone. Anything interesting going on in the world?"
"Nothing interesting," she said, getting up to go into the bathroom with her toiletry bag. Olivia intended to bathe at home, but she wanted to brush her teeth and wipe down her face. She felt incredible this morning. She was slightly tired, but it was that good sex tired. Olivia smiled to herself in the mirror as she thought of the ways they'd get to know each other emotionally and physically. When she exited the bathroom more refreshed than when she went in, she put her dress back on, but decided she didn't need to put on underwear since her drive home was only minutes.
Fitz had chosen dark blue khakis and a light denim shirt for his work wear today. He decided he wouldn't make the bed and that he'd strip the sheets and change his linens when he returned home later that day. Once they were both fully dressed, they came together to embrace, just holding on to each other, not wanting to leave the other. They looked at each other and chastely kiss, as to not start something they didn't have time to finish. Olivia released him from her arms and turned to pack her bag. Fitz took hold of her bag and they walked down the stairs together. Fitz disarmed the alarm and was about to walk her out to her car when Olivia asked, "Do you have a to-go container that I can take some shepherd's pie for lunch?"
Fitz shook his head no and responded, "I have a better idea. I'll bring the rest to you, and we can have lunch together in your office."
"This day just keeps getting better, doesn't it?" Olivia seductively smiled. "Does 1pm work for you? That's normally when I take my lunch."
"One o'clock is perfect. Let me get your purse from the kitchen," he ran to collect her things off the kitchen counter and quickly returned to walk her to her car. Fitz opened the door to the garage and grabbed her overnight bag and proceeded to place it in her back seat. He and Olivia kissed one last time that morning and Fitz hit the button to open the garage door. He waved to her as she backed out and drove down his long driveway on her way home. Fitz closed the garage door and reentered the house. He packed up his things for work and gathered the food for their lunch later that day. He set the alarm and headed back out to the garage to start his 15-minute trek to work.

Olivia arrived home less than ten minutes after leaving Fitz's place. Everything about their time together was perfect. It was now 7:15am she wanted to be at work by 9:00am. She undressed and jumped into the shower and quickly bathed. Olivia completed her morning routine consisting of hair and makeup and choosing a simple tan sheath dress and flesh colored nude pumps that matched the skin tone of her legs. She accented the dress with an off-white cropped wrap sweater with flared three-quarter length sleeves. She finished her look with gold earrings and one gold bangle bracelet. It was just before 8:30am when she left home on her way to work.
Olivia arrived at work ten of nine, but still not beating Huck into the office. "Good morning, Huck," she said into the air knowing he would hear her wherever he was in the suite. She continued into her office, placed her purse in her large desk drawer and began working. Ten minutes later, the rest of the work gang arrived at the suite, and they all enjoyed an uneventful morning of work.
Meanwhile at Defiance Distillery, Fitz was in a hell of a great mood. His morning meeting went better than he could have hoped, and the Defiance team was ahead of schedule with processing orders and getting them out the door. His mind kept drifting to last night and this morning. He couldn't get the images of Olivia naked in his bed or the feeling of him in her mouth out of his head. He wondered to himself how he would get any work done if he was constantly thinking of making love to her. He was looking forward to lunch with her in about an hour. Fitz wanted to invite her to spend tonight together, but he would wait to see if she leans in one direction or another. He didn't want to feel like he was rushing her or the relationship with her, he just wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. He told himself that these were normal emotions for a new relationship. Things between a new couple are always hot and heavy in the beginning before leveling out.
About thirty minutes before their lunch date, Olivia texted Fitz.
O: Hey Sexy. How's your day?
F: Good, now better, and even better in about 30.
O: All I've been thinking about all morning is that shepherd's pie. I can't wait to savor it in my mouth.
F: I know how that shepherd's pie feels! ; p
O: Emojis? Really?
F: Sorry. I'll go back to acting my age. BTW, what's your work address?
Olivia texted the address to her office and Fitz confirmed that he and the shepherd's pie were on their way.

Fitz arrived at Olivia's office suite 25 minutes after their text exchange. She was on a call with a client when he entered the suite. Harrison heard the door chime indicating that someone had entered their workspace. He went to the lobby to greet the visitor and saw Fitz standing by the empty receptionist desk holding a medium size paper bag. Harrison approached Fitz, "How can I help you today?"
"I'm here for Olivia."
Harrison, thinking Fitz was a delivery man began to reach in his pocket for his wallet. "She ordered lunch. We have the best boss. I can take care of the bill for her."
Fitz laughed nervously, "Uh, no. I'm here to have lunch with Olivia. She's expecting me."
"Is there enough for everyone? The rest of us are kinda hungry too."
"Harrison, why don't you, Quinn, and Huck take a long lunch." Olivia suggested to her colleague.
"One of your best ideas in a long time," Harrison quipped back and turned to Fitz with his hand outstretched, "By the way, I'm Harrison."
"Fitz. Nice to meet you," Fitz shifted the food bag and shook Harrison's hand.
"Hungry woman over here," Olivia waved a hand to get the men's attention. "Fitz, we can eat in my office." When Fitz was beside her, she looked back at Harrison and gave him a look that said "scram." Harrison took heed and collected his coworkers to begin their boss-approved extra-long lunch.
Once they were in her office, the lovers hugged and gave each other a work-friendly kiss. "Did you have any trouble finding us?"
"No, not at all. Where is your microwave? The food needs to be heated up. I also brought some bread. I'm going to take you up on that suggestion of making a BLT with the tomato basil loaf," Fitz said.
"Our kitchenette is this way." They walked over to the kitchenette where Olivia placed the shepherd's pie in the microwave and took two small plates out of the cupboard and a couple of sets of forks and knives from the drawer. "What would you like to drink, water, soda, juice, iced tea, or coffee?"
Fitz thought for a few seconds and decided on soda. Once the shepherd's pie was done heating, Olivia put a few slices of the bread in to be heated for a few seconds. Fitz grabbed the container with the shepherd's pie and the bread while Olivia carried the dishes, flatware, and drinks. She had cleared off the small round table that she sometimes used to conduct informal meetings. She quickly laid out the plates and flatware, and Fitz used a fork to push a generous amount of shepherd's pie on each of their plates. Olivia daintily jogged back to the kitchenette for napkins. Fitz was still standing when she returned, only sitting after pulling out her chair for her to sit.
Olivia picked up her fork, then abruptly stopped before saying, "I've been waiting for this moment all day!" She dug into her food and took a bite that she savored in her mouth for a few seconds before chewing and swallowing.
Fitz shook his head, "So we're not on the same page with our thoughts, huh?"
Olivia laughed at his obvious reference to their leveling up their relationship to a more physical plain. "I've been thinking about that too, but I was determined to get some work done today."
They spent the next few minutes eating in a comfortable silence. Fitz took a bite of the parmesan peppercorn bread and asked her, "Did you want to hang out after work today?"
"I'd love to but I'm going over to my parents' house after work. I'll likely stay for dinner. I haven't visited with them in a couple of weeks. And tomorrow night is girls' night out with Ange and Michaela. We probably won't get to spend time together until Friday."
Fitz nodded in understanding. "Give some thought to staying over with me this weekend. We can do whatever you like or nothing at all."
"I'd love to go swimming. You owe me a race," Olivia told him.
"I'll turn the temp up in the pool. That way, we can swim any time of day or night." They continued to eat, talk, and flirt for the next 45 minutes.
After he was finished eating, Fitz looked around Olivia's office, noticing her diploma and degrees and certificates and awards. "What made you choose wills, trusts, and tax law?" He asked.
"Transactional law is very straightforward. You're not on the clock with it 24/7 the way you would be with criminal law or some type of agency practice. In a nutshell, I like having my evenings and weekends free," Olivia explained. "Have you planned out your estate, Mr. Grant?"
Although she asked the question with a bit of humor, it was a serious question and Fitz was relieved that he could answer her in the affirmative. "Yes, I had a will made when I first opened the distillery."
"Well, sir, your assets have probably grown quite a bit since then. My legal advice to you would be for you to have your attorney draft an updated will based on your current value and any newly acquired assets."
"What if I wanted to hire you to draft my will?"
"I wouldn't do it. Conflict of interest. If you would like a recommendation for an estate attorney who is almost as good as me, I'd be happy to provide one for you."
"So, you're telling me that a will is not one and done?"
"It depends, but as a successful business owner, your worth is probably increasing. Have you given thought to what happens to the distillery in the event of, say, retirement?"
Fitz had often thought about retirement, but he hadn't thought hard enough about it to start planning for it. He knew neither of his kids wanted the distillery and that made planning for passing it on a bit tricky for him. Olivia could see the beginnings of distress cross Fitz's face, "Just make an appointment to speak with your attorney. You'll figure it out."
They stared at each other for a moment before Olivia spoke again, "Your birthday is next week and actually falls on Memorial Day weekend. Keep it clear, sir. We have plans to celebrate you."
"What do you have planned?"
"It's a surprise, but I think you're going to like it." Olivia said rubbing her hands together in a mad scientist gesture.
"Is it anything like this morning?" Fitz questioned lustily.
"There could be a bit of that in there, but it's not the main event. Just trust me, Fitz. I pay attention and I got you."
"That you do," he responded, taking her hand and kissing the inside of her palm. "I should let you get back to work, and I need to get back to my office too. Should we clean up before I go?"
"No, we have a small dishwasher in our kitchenette. I'll take care of that before I leave for the day."
Fitz stood up and pulled Olivia to him. They hugged for one minute. Fitz leaned down and kissed her passionately. "Enjoy your time with your parents. Call me tonight before you go to bed."
Olivia agreed and walked Fitz to the elevator. "I'll give you a call tonight and we'll figure out plans for this weekend." They hugged one last time before going their separate ways for the day.

Thirty minutes after Fitz left Olivia's office, Harrison, Quinn, and Huck returned from their long lunch. Quinn and Huck went into their respective offices while Harrison grabbed a folder and headed for Olivia's office. Her office door was open, so he knocked on the frame, "Is the coast clear? Loverboy still around?" He teased as he walked into her office and sat in a chair on the opposite side of her desk.
"Ha ha, so funny," Olivia retorted. "What's up?"
"I have the job announcement for the administrative assistant position. Look it over and let me know if there is anything that I left out." Harrison said, handing the folder to Olivia.
She looked over the job description and made some minor adjustments to it before handing it back to Harrison. "Looks good. Just make those changes and it'll be ready to post."
"Thanks. I'll have it posted to our website today, and a few recruitment websites tomorrow," he confirmed. Olivia went back to working on her computer. Harrison stared at her for a while but said nothing. Olivia tried to ignore him but couldn't as a smile crept across her lips. She still refused to make eye contact with him.
Finally, she looked up at him and firmly snapped, still smiling, "What?!"
"Who's Fitz? It's been a while since you've brought a friend around here." Harrison softened his approach and smiled. He stood up to leave but made a point to let Olivia know, "You've seemed brighter over the past few days. I'm happy for you. And if he fucks up, remember, don't let Huck find out!" Harrison laughed at his own joke as he jogged out of her office. Grinning from ear to ear, Olivia just shook her head and resumed her work.
When it was quitting time at OPA, Olivia cleaned up her lunch mess in the kitchenette, then gathered her things to go. Huck was making his way to refresh his coffee when she called him into her office. "Huck, got a minute?"
"Yeah Liv?"
Fumbling through her purse for her car keys, she simply asked him without making eye contact, "So, does he pass your sniff test?"
Without blinking, Huck just responded in a low growl, "yes."
"Okay then, I'll see you tomorrow," she concluded as she walked past him and out the office suite.
Olivia had known Huck long enough to be aware that he would never turn down the opportunity to look into someone's background, whether requested or not. She knew that Harrison probably brought up Fitz while out to lunch, and Huck being Huck probably spent the bulk of the rest of his workday looking into Fitz. She couldn't be mad at him since he was only doing it to protect her, and he never overstepped. Although she didn't ask for him to vet her boyfriends, she appreciated his overprotectiveness.

Olivia parked her car in her parents' driveway and walked up the stairs to knock on the locked screen door that secured the wide-open front door. Olivia could see her mother, Maya, walk from out of the kitchen to unlock the screen door for her. "Hey Livvie," Maya said, turning back towards the kitchen. It was obvious that she was cooking, although Olivia couldn't tell exactly what, but she knew it was something fried.
"Hi mom," Olivia greeted. Although she hadn't been to visit with her parents in a couple of weeks, they did speak more often. They were in their 70s, both retired, and both were healthy and looked amazing for their ages, especially Maya.
"Your big head must've known I was frying chicken today." Maya lovingly teased Olivia, often referring to her head and never letting her forget the pain it caused her at childbirth. Once they reached the kitchen, Maya immediately forked a chicken wing, placed it on a paper towel, and handed it to her daughter who bit into the steaming crispy meat. The thought passed in Olivia's mind that lately she has been blessed with other people's cooking. Lucky girl!
"How has work been lately?" Maya asked.
"Good. Tax season is officially over except for a few extension cases," Olivia answered through bites of the hot chicken meat.
Maya nodded, checked on the mac-n-cheese that was almost done baking, and pulled out three plates for dinner. "Go tell your father dinner is ready."
Olivia walked around the corner towards the back of the house where her father's office turned mancave was situated. She knocked on the door and entered when she heard him shuffling. Eli was a bowling enthusiast, and he was watching the bowling channel on cable. "Hey old man! Dinner is ready."
"This match is just about done. Give me five minutes." Eli bargained with her as he kept his eyes on the TV. Olivia shook her head and walked back to the kitchen. Her mother handed her the place settings for the three of them, and she set the family table while Maya fixed homemade lemonade. A few minutes later, Eli made his way upstairs and hovered around the dishes of food cooling on the stove.
"Don't hover, Eli. Here, put the chicken on the table," Maya handed the dish of fried chicken to her husband, then she picked up the mac-n-cheese with oven mitts and followed him into the dining room. Olivia grabbed the serving bowl containing the cabbage and placed that on the table. Maya returned to the kitchen to get the lemonade. The family sat down to enjoy their family dinner together.
"Your father and I will be taking a trip on Father's Day weekend. We're going to Bethany Beach," Maya declared.
"It's called Father's Day. That's a day I'm supposed to spend with my father," Olivia feigned offense and hurt.
"Oh, so you have a better offer for me that weekend?" Eli lobbed back at her knowing she had no viable response.
"No," she admitted. "Have you been there before?" Olivia asked, not remembering if this was one of their previous retirement trips.
"Not Bethany Beach. We visited Virginia Beach, what was it, three years ago?" Eli looked at Maya for confirmation.
"Sounds about right," she nodded.
"Well, I'm sure you'll have a good time," Olivia said.
The small family continued to enjoy their dinner and conversation until Eli made his departure back to his mancave to get back to his bowling shows. Maya updated Olivia on the latest in her gossip within her retired friends circle and church members. Olivia wasn't really that interested, but she indulged her mother's one-sided conversation about nothing. At about 8:45pm, she decided to make her way home. She made one final trip to his mancave to tell her father goodbye. When she came back up to the kitchen, Maya had packed Olivia a to-go bag with fried chicken, mac-n-cheese, cabbage, some fast-ripening fruit, and vegetables. Olivia bid her mother adieu and headed home.

Arriving home 25 minutes later, Olivia was tired. She had had a long day. It was a good day, but a long one, and she was ready for a shower and her bed. She placed her bag of food in her refrigerator, went into her bedroom, undressed, and enjoyed a hot, relaxing shower. When she got out of the shower, she lightly moisturized her skin, put on her sleep bonnet, and climbed into bed. She picked up her phone and called Fitz as she promised she'd do.
"Hello my dear," Fitz smiled into his phone.
"Hey you. How was your evening?
"Good and quiet. I had a BLT on basil tomato bread. You're a genius, by the way. I also finished the book I was reading, and I talked to Kara. She's definitely coming to town in a few weeks, so you'll get to meet her. The family will be here for Father's Day. I hope you'll stop by sometime that weekend to hang with us for a little while. I'm sure you have something planned for your dad, but I don't know when my family will be back in town, and I'd really like for you to meet my kids."
Olivia felt a little sad that she wouldn't be spending Father's Day weekend with her father, but she was happy that her father was spending it the way he wanted to. "My folks are going out of town that weekend, so I'll be able to stop by to chill."
"Well, you should just spend the whole weekend with me. Mellie will be here with her husband, and Jared will be here with his partner, Griffin. I'm not sure if Kara will show up with someone."
"I don't want to intrude on your weekend with your family."
"Olivia, you are a part of that now," Fitz reassured her. Olivia's heart warmed at his words.
"Thanks, I appreciate the invitation. I think that can be arranged."
"You sound tired. I don't want to keep you up. I just wanted to hear your voice one last time today," Fitz told her.
"I am. I'm in bed now, and I will probably be sound asleep in a matter of minutes."
"Get some sleep, Livvie. We'll talk tomorrow. Sweet dreams babe."
"You too. Kisses." They both made kissing sounds at each other and hung up. Olivia fell right asleep, and Fitz after about 15 minutes followed her into the land of Z's.
