Chapter 20: Overcoming the Tragedy

As most of the Black Devil mercenaries are taken custody by the infantry units of AFP. Yoshimitsu and Rei looked at them and complimenting about the forest side of the mountains.

"I'm glad you have plans of making signals from your vehicle. We already arrived in time when I see them taking these mercenaries one after another."

"At least, I tried helping them with my Omniyoji magics. The others are also aiding them to subdue them right away." Rei said and Yoshimitsu compliments the scenaries outside the temple.

"This mountainous forest, It reminds me of how I can duel with other shinobi or kunoichis here."

Behind them, Kunimitsu II was behind them as she targeted Yoshimitsu's cursed sword in which her mother had wanted to get it from him and quickly steals it, much to Yoshimitsu was shocked and surprise.

"I'll be taking your weapon. At least, my mother needs to replicate with this."

"Agh! That's my sword! Get back here! You don't know my sword is cursed!" Yoshimitsu completely chases Kunimitsu II for stealing his cursed sword despite his warnings.

As they finally clearing up the operation after the incident, Hunyo was relieved that Marissa was safe while Lee has been discussing with Lars about Kazuya who's presence made known for assisting them in the shadows.

"Marissa... I should had listened to you back then...? I was overconfident over thinking I would win and being so stubborn. I realized that I was completely duped when I entered this illegal fighting tournament." Hunyo said finally showing his sadness over his own decisions which Marissa consoles him.

"It is already in the past, Hunyo. You need to move on... I was happy that you and Rhima are there to save me while being assisted with the authorities."

Hunyo romantically hugs his wife and soon tells her nicely.

"I'm gonna put my past behind it, Marissa. In fact, Domon is also a victim like me and why he was blinded with vengeance against me for brutally injuring him. It was a huge trauma between us since we forced to fight each other to the death."

As the two continued hugging, Lee, Lars and Alisa had been watching them while both Jin and Rhima are present after hearing of Hunyo's decision to move on the past.

"I'm jealous... when Hunyo is always with Marissa."

"Mr. Lee became a teary-eyed. He's not like that when he's with us." Alisa said which Lars giggles in amusement.

"I think he's jealous because he has interest to Mrs. Panganiban. But both Jin and Hunyo are the ones who beat him badly for his womanizing antics."

"My dad deserves it..." Rhima said giving her parents' reaction while Jin sadly comments about them.

"I wish if mother and I would reunite each other again. But my own family is really broken because of the Devil Gene bloodline."

While watching most mercenaries are continued to be taken custody, Hunyo finally narrates the whole incident.

Everyone is present to infiltrated this Black Devil organization so that Domon's vengeance on us will never happen again. So I put my pasts behind and went to our normal lives once more. As Kazuya's request, I told Rei to create an invention similar to a time machine that would allow the stray characters to return to their own game while our game partners can go as they please whether to stay at our world or theirs. But Rei had told me that it will be completed for three more weeks.

Two weeks later after the incident caused by Hunyo's ambush and infiltration, Domon was serving time in life imprisonment at the maximum security of Bilibid and remembering what Hunyo says about him being a victim like he is since both were caught and duped by the corrupted Thai police and military. Domon realizes that Hunyo was right all along as his anger within his heart finally dissipates as he thought.

Hunyo was right that we both became victims over our capture by those corrupted authorities. I entered this illegal tournament to become the best fighter in this world. My pride and dreams were shattered after he had brutally defeated me and had this scar and all I can think of was revenge against him and his family. In this prison, I'm sure the prison guards would even make a surprise inspection or if these prison inmates would humiliate anyone because there's so many people would do inhumane acts.

Suddenly, he heard a man from his neighbor cell as he takes a peek. He sees the other inmates had humiliated and raped the man after they took off his white trousers to reveal his lost manhood. Domon noticed he is the new inmate after him because he suffered a penalty over his grave crimes such as concubinage, kidnapping and money embezzlement. Domon realizes about Hunyo's reasons of fighting injustice and inhumane acts and decided to accept Hunyo's past defeat as he thought.

Now I have to accept my past defeat to him. It was my only redemption that I can do. These prisoners might do up to no good or making an escape plan and I'm sure it will be one hell if some of us would ended up in a dungeon caused by those prison guards.

At the Correctional Institution for Women, Veron is finally imprisoned for her various crimes including her former wife and was visited by his family including Broadie who accompanies Raquel's children. Since her father had took them to the psychiatrist to know about their father had became a transwoman and they recognized her as their father and soon hugs them emotionally.

"I'm so sorry... I blamed myself for being too crazy for my choices and too selfish to your mom, sob."

Both of her parents watch their reunion and Broadie looked on to see his game partner, Lidia who thumbs up.

At Divisoria, Rhima finally reveals her face to her male disguise by two gay men which is both Kulas and Jugs who were interested to her, much to their horrible shock and surprise.

"WAHHH!"

"Gwapong babae si te..." (That girl is a handsome woman)"

"I'm sorry for my deceptions. I do this because my life is on the line." Rhima calmly apologizes to both of them.

While the two agreed of her reasons of disguise, Jin was present who remains hiding to watch over her as he thought.

I'm glad Rhima's family crisis is over. I think it's about time that she and I we spend together one last time.

Therefore, Jin noticed both Meng and Daya are seen helping each other for the noodle take outs since Brian was the one who exonerates both of them for their former crimes. He also knows that he remains as a war criminal in their world and as the Destroyer of Worlds as he thought it again.

Living in their world is a nice for me to stay and I know I couldn't accept my fate on my world because everyone knew that I will be the one to stop Kazuya.

Fahkumram became an enforcer to Rom's Thai restaurant business where his wife was helping him prepare the ingriedients. He hoped that their lives will be peaceful here in the real world so that he won't be controlled again.

One of the customers was Leroy who orders Thai noodle soup and sensing that Rhima's Wing Chun training had already improved and allowing her to do what she wants. Other customers are interested in Sugar who thinks it will compete in the dog show for pit bulls.

Hunyo attends the same Christian church as he listens to one of the Christian singers are performing their Christian songs until one singer who sang a song being composed by the singer himself. Since Krelian is present in the performance, everyone is intrigued over this song as soon as it ended, they give him a round of applause. Lee was present when he hears this song that amuses him.

"That Christian singer has a nice singing voice. He looks better than this Sarthou guy who play guitars."

"After all this incident... I'm always visiting this church place because I enjoy their singing performance. Except the pastor's discussions because they always mixing up with someone's modern lives to the words of the Bible. Most of them sometimes are always sharing of their recent problems."

"I was hoping we can stay longer in your world. Looks like Kazuya has been talking to you in secret by the time we subdued this man filled with petty revenge." Lee said knowingly that he likes to stay in the real world and Hunyo knows that he had kept Kazuya's word since most of their game partners can visit the real world anytime except for the stray ones and one of the pastors arrive to listen to his discussion who happens to be a the chief pastor of the church.

Benzon was promoted to a Master Sergeant and forms a new group of police force by the CIDG and was watched by Katarina and she noticed Ibrahim and Shaheen are present to watch the promotion. Meanwhile, Roderick returns to work as a chef as he showed his dishes to many including the Royal family members and the Crown Prince had allow him to go back to the Philippines and Roderick was happy that he can see his family again as well as can visit Hunyo and his family. Zen also gives him a thumbs up for his job well done to complete his mission.

Rick and Reggie are present in Silveria Corporation to see Rei and Mariana are doing their best to finish the invention as per Hunyo's request on them while Lars, Alisa and Yoshimitsu remained present since they have waited for them to complete the invention so that they can go back to their own world. Hunyo continues to narrate about their normal lives following this.

It was a good thing that all of us return to our normal lives but for our game partners it was the only time they decided to return because they are just the characters from the game. I knew it would be their experience of living life in the Philippines or maybe to visit the other Asian countries for a vacation. Now that they knew how difference we are when we lived in the real world.

*When Domon sees a new immate being raped and humiliated by fellow inmates it was the final scene of Filipino teleserye's Halik (Kiss or Betrayal) where Ace (played by Sam Milby) and his family (excluding Gio) are serving time in life imprisonment respectively for their crimes.

*Domon's redemption leads him to battle disgruntled inmates after realizing Hunyo's battle against injustice.

*Veron's reunion with her family is based on the final scene of Asawa ko ang Karibal Ko where Venus reunites with her family after they are visiting her at prison.

*Jin was saddened to see both Meng and Daya were exonerated for their former crimes as he himself does not because he was still the war criminal at his game.

*Krelian made a cameo for the last time performing his Christian songs as one of the Christian singers who is also a musical composer bears a resemblance to Super Junior's Kyuhyun as the song he had composed for their singing performance resembles one of Kyuhyun's ballad songs which is "At Gwanghwamun" and this song appreciates towards both Hunyo and Lee.
