Chapter 27- Medical School
Eli smirked at his brother and wrapped his arm around his shoulders. "Damn bro looks like you are getting two girls for the price of one" he joked trying to break the ice.
Johnny stepped up and pulled Jules into his chest, "the hell he does" he growled.
Jules laughed and patted Johnny's chest, "back down big man" she teased Johnny.
"And we got your back for the bachelor party" Creed added.
"As long as you don't get me into trouble" Noah laughed when Katie slapped his chest, "you better not get into trouble" she warned.
"Well, I have to say, as far as proposals go, you did good Biker Hunk" Jules teased, causing everyone to laugh.
After their vacation and Noah proposed to Katie, it was crunch time. Mia was helping her daughter study for the MCATs and get her medical school applications ready.
Katie was beyond stressed out. She was meeting with Grace to study most of the day and night. She was nervous about taking her exam.
"Katie, I think we got this. There is nothing more we can study. Our brain is fried, my eyes are going to burn if we look at this anymore" Gracie said.
Katie nodded and fell back against the couch in the common room. Their books were spread out everywhere in front of them.
"We can do this" Katie reassured herself.
Noah and the guys came in from their run checking on the meth labs popping up in Charming, stopping when they saw the girls bent over their books, looking beyond stressed.
Katie was dressed in leggings and Noah's sweatshirt, her hair up in a messy bun, her glasses on, just looking stressed out.
Noah walked in, wrapping his arm around Katie's shoulders, pulling her into his arms. He kissed her temple.
"You okay Dollface?" he asked.
Katie sighed and rested against him. She turned her face to kiss him, "I'll be better when I get this test done and over with. I feel like my head is going to explode" she commented snuggling deeper into him, resting her head in the crook of his neck and closing her eyes.
Noah dug his hand into her hair and started massaging her scalp, Katie moaning at the feeling and cuddling into him.
"Jesus' babe, your neck is full of knots" he observed.
She nodded, "yeah, that is because we have been bending over our books and laptops studying for the past week. My mom printed us out some practice test templates, so we have been doing that too" she explained.
He kissed her temple, "you need to relax babe. You got this" he replied.
She sighed, "I hope so. I have my applications ready to send out, I just need my scores from the MCAT because that will give me an edge" she informed him.
"Dollface, you have an edge. You got this. You are going to be great, I know it" he reassured her.
She nodded, "I know, this is just all I ever wanted. I used to watch my mom patch up my dad and the guys at the club and I wanted to do that. I wanted to be just like her" she slurred.
Noah looked down to see her start to fall asleep. He could tell that her body was starting to sag as she started falling asleep.
Grace smiled at her friend and got up to pack up her stuff. She picked up all their books and practice templates.
She got up and gave Mia a hug who was sitting at the bar with Jax. "Thanks for helping us, Mia. I appreciate all the help, tips and tricks" she said in the hug.
Mia smiled, "you are welcome honey. Don't stress okay. Just go with your gut and don't second guess yourself. You are going to do great" she reassured her.
Grace nodded with a stressed smile, "thanks" she replied before going over to Noah and Katie. She nodded to Noah, "have a good night, guys, I'll see you tomorrow at the testing center" she said waving as she walked out.
"See you tomorrow Gracie" Noah called out after her.
She smiled and looked over her shoulder, waving as she got to her car and packed up her stuff.
Once Grace left, Noah got up and picked up Katie in his arms, carrying her to their bedroom.
He laid her down, took off her glasses and shoes before stripping to his boxers and getting in next to her, pulling the blankets on top of her. He pulled her into his chest and cuddled into her back.

The next morning, Katie was beyond stressed. She woke up at 5am to study some more before the exam at 8am.
She took a shower and changed into some leggings and one of Noah's SAMCRO t-shirt, put her glasses on and her uggs. She was not looking forward to this at all.
Jax was in the kitchen making himself some breakfast when he heard someone come into the kitchen. Turning to find his daughter, smiling at the look of her.
"Hi honey, you doing okay?" he asked handing her a cup of juice.
Katie took a seat at the table and rested her head against her hands. "I am okay dad, just beyond stressed out. I am ready to get this over with" she said sipping on the orange juice.
Jax nodded understandingly. He remembered when Mia took the MCAT'S and how stressed out she was.
"Do you want breakfast princess?" he asked her as he made himself a dish for breakfast.
She shook her head, "no daddy, thanks, I can't. If I eat something I am going to throw up" she replied.
Before he could say anything, Noah walked into the kitchen when he woke up to an empty bed. He looked at his phone and saw that it was only 6am.
He walked into the kitchen to see Katie sitting at the table with Jax, sipping on some orange juice. He walked over and sat next to her sitting sideways on the chair, so he was facing her.
"You okay Dollface?" he asked rubbing her back as she leant against the table.
She nodded, looking over at him from her spot, hiding her head in her hands. "I am stressed Dimples" she said.
He shook his head, leaning over to kiss the top of her head. "You are going to be great babe. You studied to your hearts content. You got this Dollface" he reassured her.
"Honey, your mom was the same way. Just listen to your mom and don't second guess yourself. Trust your gut" Jax informed Katie.
She nodded and continued to sip her juice. "Grace is meeting us at the testing center. She already texted me" she said to Noah.
He nodded, "let me jump in the shower and then we can get going. Why don't you try and eat something before we go" he gave her another kiss to the top of her head before getting up to go back to their room.
Mia walked in after him to see her daughter resting her head against her hands on the table. She walked over and gave Jax a kiss before putting her hand on her daughters back, kissing the top of her head.
"You doing okay sweetheart?" she asked, running her hand through her daughters hair.
"I can't do this mom. This is too much" Katie complained.
Mia nodded in understanding. "You got this sweetheart. I know it is a lot, but you are my daughter. You are beyond prepared for this. You can do this" she reassured her daughter.
"I hope so mom" she replied.
"I know so. So does Tessa, Archer, and Cole. They all texted me to tell you good luck" Mia stated.
Katie smiled at them, "that's nice of them. I really love everyone at the hospital. I hope this test turns out okay" she replied.
Mia put some toast in the toaster for her daughter to take with her. She needed to eat something. She buttered the toast and put it in a napkin in front of her daughter.
Noah walked back into the kitchen, smiling at Mia. "Morning Mia" he greeted.
Mia smiled at Noah. "Morning honey, you guys ready to go?" she asked.
Noah nodded, "yeah, Junior texted me to tell me that he and Gracie were on their way to the testing center" he informed them.
Katie took a deep breath and stood up, going over to Noah. Mia grabbed the toast and handed it to her daughter.
"Eat this on the way sweetheart. Good luck princess" she gave her daughter a hug and kissed the top of her head.
"Thanks mom" Katie said before going to give Jax a hug.
Jax pressed her closer to him. Katie fisting his t-shirt, taking strength from her dad. She needed his reassurance.
He pulled her back so he could look down at her, "you are going to be great" he gave her another hug before sending her off with Noah.
Jax was worried for her. She has been studying and stressing for weeks about this test. Jax wrapped his arm around Mia's shoulders.
"I am worried for her babe" Mia stated.
Jax nodded in understanding, "me too, but she is ready. The poor girl, she has been studying for months for this. She is ready" he replied with conviction.
Mia nodded as she cuddled into her husband. "I hope so honey" she stated.
Noah pulled up to the testing center to see Gracie and Junior waiting for them outside the testing center.
Grace was looking just as bad as Katie. Junior and Noah couldn't help but laugh and shake their head at the girl's appearance.
"You guys look like death warmed over" Junior teased, smiling when Gracie turned to glare at him.
"Good luck Dollface, you are going to do great" Noah said as he pulled Katie into his arms and gave her a kiss.
Junior followed with Gracie, standing next to Noah as they watched the girls make their way into the test center.
It took them about 4-5 hours for the girls to complete the test. Junior and Noah did some business in the area and waited in a local bar for the girls to finish.
They were standing next to each other, having parked in front of the stairs, watching Katie and Gracie come out of the building looking exhausted.
The girls walked straight into the guy's arms, resting and sagging against their chest.
Noah wrapped his arm around Katie's back, digging his hands in her hair, massaging her scalp. "How'd it go Dollface?" he asked, pressing her into him, swaying with her in his arms.
"I am so drained; I just want to go home and sleep for weeks" she said.
Noah nodded, "okay babe, let's get something to eat first and then we'll go back to the clubhouse and cuddle" he whispered the last part against her ear.
Katie smiled against his chest, tilting her head up to press a kiss to his lips, "promise?" she asked.
He laughed and leant down to kiss her properly before nodding, "100% Dollface" he turned to Junior who was in the same position.
Noah and Junior took the girls to the diner, Gabby walked over with a knowing look. "How you feeling sweetheart?" she asked the girls.
Katie groaned against Noah's chest, "I need something fatty and greasy" she said.
"Make that two" Gracie put her hand up in agreement.
"Coming right up, you boys go take care of those girls" Gabby said directing them to the booth.
Noah and Junior led the girls to the booth and had them go in first, so they essentially rested against the boys. The girls were exhausted.
Grabby came over with two big plates of burgers, fries, and strawberry shakes. "Here you go Angels" she put the food down in front of them.
"Thanks Gabby" Gracie said as she started eating her food.
The girls were so hungry, they dug into their food. They were so busy studying for weeks; they didn't eat as much as they normally would. They spent their weeks studying eating junk food and snacks.
After they were done eating, Junior took Gracie home, while Noah took Katie to the clubhouse. She went straight to Noah's room and crashed. She didn't even take her clothes off or change into their pajamas.

In the weeks coming up after the MCATs, no one even talked about the test. Katie was nervous for her results.
Deciding to move on with her medical school journey and started her medical school applications.
Katie sat at her kitchen table with a packet of different papers in front of her. She was nervous to start the medical school applications because she hasn't gotten the MCAT scores yet.
She didn't want to jinx anything.
Before she could start or do anything else, she heard the rumble of a motorcycle. It wasn't long before Noah walked in the Teller house, "Katie!" he called.
"In the kitchen" she replied.
Noah walked in and smiled as he came over to her, leant down, cupped the back of her head and kissed her cheek.
He sat down next to her, kept his arm around her shoulders. "What are you working on Dollface?" he asked trying to peak over her shoulder to see what she was working on.
"My medical school applications" she gave one to him to look over, "I am nervous about filling them out, but my mom said that it was the normal next step, even if you don't have the MCAT scores yet" she explained.
He nodded in understanding, "I am sure you are going to do great Dollface. When do you get the scores?" he asked.
Katie looked over at him over her shoulder, "next week" she replied.
"You're a smart girl, you got this Dollface" he stated.
She smiled at him and leant over, pressing her forehead against his. "You think I am smart huh?" she teased.
He pulled her up into his lap and wrapped his arm around her waist, her arms around his neck. "I wouldn't be paying for it if I didn't think you could do this babe" he informed her.
Katie shook her head and pulled back so she could face him, scrunching her face. "Who said you are paying? You aren't paying Noah" she said seriously.
She was not putting that responsibility on Noah. She had already applied for scholarships and started saving up money from her internship at the hospital.
Noah pulled her forward and nipped at her pulse point. "Dollface, I am your Old Man, I sure as hell can afford your education, or at least help you pay for your education. You are not in this alone. Besides, I fully plan on taking advantage of your medical skills" he explained.
"Dimples, I love you, but you are not paying for my medical school" she stated.
"Katie, I have money saved for this and that is final. I am not having this conversation again" he shut down the conversation.
Katie knew this was not going to go over well with her dad. He has been saving for this and wanting to help her achieve her dream ever since she was young and told him that she wanted to be a doctor.

The next day at the clubhouse, Katie was finishing up her applications for medical school when her dad walked in from a meeting with Opie.
"How are doing sweetheart?" he asked.
Katie smiled at her dad. "I am okay dad. I am just nervous. I started filling out the applications, so it should be a couple weeks before we get the results from the MCAT, and I can get my life together" she vented to her dad.
No matter what, he was always there for her. He did whatever she wanted and helped her achieve anything she wanted in life.
Jax wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his chest. "You are going to be okay Princess. Your mom and I are going to help you with everything we can honey. You don't have to worry about anything" he said.
Katie sighed and looked up at her dad, "actually, Noah said that is going to help me with medical school" she informed her dad.
Jax tensed and shook his head, "no he is not. I am paying" he said seriously.
He had been saving for this since she was a kid and played pretend doctor to her brothers and the guys around the clubhouse. He was not getting that taken away from him.
"You two work it out. I don't know what you want me to say. He freaked out when I told him that he wasn't paying for school" she informed him.
"Don't worry about Noah. I will talk to him. How are you two doing honey? Any more issues?" he asked.
Katie shook her head, "no dad, I think him coming here and really spending time being a couple really helped us realize that we are destined. It made me realize that we got this as a couple" she reassured her dad.
Jax nodded, "good, I am glad that he finally pulled his head out of his ass and started working things out with you" he replied.
Katie just started laughing, "dad, you can't say that" she shook her head.
He shrugged, "of course I can. First of all, I am his Mother Charter President. Second of all, I am your father. I can say whatever the hell I want to say" Jax said.
Katie just hugged her dad and rested against him. "I hope that this all is going to work out dad. I mean, if I get accepted to Medical School in Tacoma or Nevada, then we are going to have to figure out everything all over again" she vented.
Jax nodded and rubbed his daughters back in comfort. "Everything is going to be fine honey. Your mom and I did it, Reaper did it with Holly. Hell, Quinn is Nomad. Do you know how many days he actually spends at home with Lisa? You guys will be fine, and if he doesn't accept things, then I will kick his ass" Jax reassured her.
She nodded against his chest, "I hope so daddy" she replied.
She really wished her dad was right and they were able to keep up the momentum in their relationship.

Katie was sitting with Creed in the garage at the clubhouse while he was working on a car, venting to him about the same things she talked to her dad about.
"I just hope that we are strong enough to make it through medical school, residency, fellowship, and then when I get a job" she sighed.
"Hand me the Allen wrench, would you?" Creed put his hand out from under the car before cursing as he tried to tighten a screw, "you are going to be fine. He needs to realize that you have wanted to be a doctor since you were a kid, and he can't stop you from following your dream" he replied.
She nodded, "I hope so" she stated.
"I know so. Chin up Buttercup, you got this" Creed reassured her.
Before she could say anything else, Noah walked up behind her and plopped down behind her, pulling her into his lap.
Katie screeched and went to attack her attacker when she turned to see Noah and Creed roll out from under the car at her scream.
"Jesus Noah, you scared the crap out of me" she punched his shoulder.
Noah and Creed just laughed, the latter rolling back under the car to finish his work. Noah just shook his head.
"Sneaky little Princess, running to daddy with your problems" he teased as she blushed bright red.
She knew exactly what he was talking about. She just didn't know that her dad was going to talk to Noah that soon.
Jax was waiting for Noah when he got back from Tacoma with Joey. He stood outside the office as he watched them roll into the lot.
Noah looked around the garage trying to spot Katie as he got off the bike, nodding when he spotted Jax standing outside the office.
"Noah, come in here a second, I need to talk to you" he called out.
Joey nudged Noah's side, "what did you do?" he whispered.
Noah shook his head and shrugged, "I have no idea" he replied looking concerned and confused as he walked over to Jax.
He couldn't get a read on him. Jax looked serious and concerned. "Is everything okay?" he asked as he walked over to him.
Jax just nodded his head into the office, walking in directing Noah to follow after him. He sat at the edge of the desk, as Noah walked in and stood in front of him, ready for a fight.
"What's going on Jax? Did something happen?" he asked concerned.
"I talked to Katie the other day and she was telling me that you two got into it about medical school" he informed Noah, waiting for him to elaborate.
Noah sighed and rubbed a hand over his face. "She is my Old Lady; it is my responsibility to take care of her" he replied.
Jax nodded in understanding. He had the same argument with Big Jim when Mia got accepted to Medical School.
"She's my daughter and she is my responsibility. She has been wanting to go to medical school since she was five years old and started playing pretend doctor with her brothers. I have been saving for this exact moment since she first started following Mia around putting barbie band aids on all the guys. No one is taking that away from me, not even you" he argued.
Noah sighed, "I get that Jax, I really do. But she is my fiancé and I want to take care of her" he reasoned.
Jax nodded, "yeah, I get that, I had this same conversation with Big Jim when Mia got accepted to Med School, but guess who won? I am her father, and it is my job to make sure she follows her dreams. Just be happy that I am letting you marry her and drop this" he said finally.
Jax was not budging on this topic. He was giving her away, that was the most he could do. Quinn was not taking away his right to pay for her medical school and watch her follow her dreams. That, he was not going to allow to happen.
"I don't want you to pay for it, but I didn't think dad would talk to you this soon" she replied.
Noah turned her in his lap so she was facing him, and he could wrap his arms around her waist, digging them into the pockets of her jeans.
"Why? We went over this, I want to help take care of you. That is my job as your Old Man" he replied.
The same argument he tried to use to persuade Jax to let him help.
"Noah, listen to me. I promised myself when I was younger that I would never be dependent on a man for anything. It didn't matter who he was. I saved up enough money from my internship and my parents have an education fund saved for me. I don't want that between us. Can't you understand that?" she tried to explain her position and her reasoning.
Noah sighed, resting his forehead against hers. "I get that babe, I really do, but I already worked this out with your dad. He is going to pay the majority of your tuition and I am going to help with the monetary things. I know you want to be independent, but this is not you being dependent on me, it is me taking care of you. But if it makes you feel better, you can pay me back" he said.
She smirked, "let me guess, on my back?" she knew what he was getting at.
He threw his head back laughing, "I mean, that works too, but I prefer you on your hands and knees…your mouth wrapped around my…. OOMF" he crunched when Katie punched his chest blushing bright red, looking around to make sure no one heard him.
He shook his head, "no, you can pay me back by kicking ass in medical school and graduating" he said pressing a kiss to her lips.
Katie sighed in defeat, "fine, it just feels weird. I don't want to take advantage of you" she replied.
Noah smiled, "you don't feel bad about taking advantage of your dad though?" he asked.
She shook her head with a smile, "that is my dad. It is his job to pay for me" she stated.
"Well, now I am here to help you too and there is nothing you can do about it" he finalized the conversation.
He was helping her with medical school and there was nothing she could do about it.

The next couple weeks were rough for Katie. She was beyond stressing for the MCAT results.
Katie and Gracie walked into their testing center where they took the MCAT to collect their results. There was a long line and one lady passing out the envelopes.
The girls were huddled together, each holding hot chocolates, nervous to collect their envelopes.
"Teller"

They heard their names called and stepped up. Each collecting their envelopes. They walked away to the entrance of the building and took a deep breath before opening their envelopes.
It took them a minute to look over their letters and reviewing their results section by section before getting to their final number.

They both read out loud, hugging each other jumping up and down in excitement that they passed, and not only that they passed, but that they did amazingly on it.
"We have to get to the clubhouse and tell everyone" Gracie said, leading Katie out of the building and down to her jeep.
Grace drove down to the clubhouse to see the guys working in the garage in TM. They knew that the girls were coming with their MCAT results, and all stopped when they saw Gracie's jeep rolling in the driveway.
Creed, Junior, Noah, Joey, Abel, Tommy, pretty much everyone stood up and froze when they saw her roll in the clubhouse.
Grace and Katie got out of the car their envelopes in their hands and took off towards Noah and Junior.
The guys caught them, "I guess you passed" Noah said spinning Katie in his arms, laughing with excitement.
"We didn't just pass, we kicked that tests ass" Gracie replied, cupping Junior's face and kissing him.
The rest of the guys heard what she said and the whole clubhouse erupted in cheers and congratulations.
Creed pulled Katie into his arms and kissed the top of her head. "See, I told you that you were going to do great" he replied, "I am proud of you Cupcake" he added.
Katie left Creed's arm and ran into her mom's arms. Mia wrapped her arms around her daughter, tears in her eyes as she squeezed her daughter in her arms, "I am so proud of you Princess. I am so happy for you achieving this task and making your dreams come true" she said against her daughter's head.
Jax, Abel, and Tommy walked over and curled their arms around their mom and sister. "We are really proud of you honey. You did it against the odds" Jax added.
He wasn't only happy for her because she passed, but he was also worried about her because of the stress of everything with medical school and Noah.
He didn't want that for his daughter.
"I am going to call Jules and Parker" Katie said pulling away from her parents, going to grab her phone and facetime her friends.
Before she could even dial the number, she had an incoming call.
Katie answered with tears in her eyes as she looked at her friends who were standing together.
"Bithcy! We did it" Jules said through tears.
"I am proud of us! We got this. We are the three musketeers for a reason" Parker added.
"I seriously can't believe we did this. All those late nights, the studying, the stressing, we did it. And we crushed the test" she said.
"I can't wait until you get back to Tacoma and we start our last year. We are going to kick its ass" Jules stated.
"I love you guys. I'll see you soon" Katie replied.

In the next week, the guys had runs to do. They were going to South Cali to meet up with the Cartel and IRA to broker a deal for peace.
Jax wanted everyone to work together and the only way to do that, is to broker boarders and draw lines in properties.
They were going to be meeting with Ricky and the Mayans charter that got started down there.
Katie was fast asleep when Noah leant over, caging her in and pressed kisses along her face.
She turned over and scrunched her face, trying to wipe the sleep from her eyes. "What's going on?" she asked looking around.
"I am leaving babe. I'll see you in a few days" he said pressing a kiss to her lips.
"Please be careful and come back to me in one piece" she replied putting her arms around his neck and pulling him down to kiss him more.
"I will babe, be good" he gave her one final kiss before leaving.
Creed, Noah, Joey, Opie, Abel, Tommy, and Junior made their way down to South Cali to meet up with Ricky at the Mayans' clubhouse.
He was waiting outside the gates for SAMCRO. When he saw Noah, he got up off his bike, and shook the guy's hands.
"Welcome guys, we are expecting you" he whistled and drove through when the gates opened.
The South Cali chapter was waiting for SAMCRO outside the clubhouse. Once they followed Ricky in, they parked next to each other in front of South Cali and got off their bikes.
Opie leading the pack, led the guys to the president of South Cali.
"Welcome to South Cali, we are glad to have you" the President said.
"Thanks, glad to be here" Opie replied.
"Lucas Rimerez, this is Opie Winston, Teller's VP. His kids, Abel and Tommy" Ricky started the introductions before moving onto the rest of the guys.
"Noah, Creed, Joey and Junior" he added.
Lucas shook their hands as he went down the line. "Nice to meet you guys" he nodded to each of them.
"Ricky said we are using your clubhouse as neutral territory" Opie said.
Lucas nodded, "yeah, we got a tentative treaty with Los Diablos" he informed him, inviting them in the clubhouse.
"And we got the tip into the IRA" Creed reasoned.
Working together they were going to get representatives from both organizations to meet at the Mayans clubhouse in South Cali to broker peace.
It didn't long before the guys got ready for a summit of the clubs. Opie met with the IRA when they got there and did the introductions, while Lucas did the same thing with the Los Diablos.
The guys all sat at the table and each club got to say their peace. The Diablos had some issues with making peace.
They wanted everything for themselves.
"We want peace, but we also deserve revenge for that asshole crossing into our territory" they said directing their attention to someone in Lucas's club.
"We have peace you asshole. You don't need anything but a curtesy call, which you got" Nate growled.
Ryan shook his head and stood up, pointing a gun at them, "you want to repeat that to my face asshole" he seethed.
"We are here for peace. Let that bullshit from the past go" Noah piped up.
"That's easy for you to say, that shit didn't happen to you" Ryan growled pointing the gun at Noah now.
"Hey, you keep pointing that at my guy, you are going to regret it" Opie growled.
Before anyone could say anything else, the gun went off, hitting Noah directly. All hell broke loose, the guys rushed towards Noah before beating the crap out of each other.
Opie grabbed Noah and dragged him out of there, whistling for the rest of the guys to follow him. He got Noah in the van and called Jax.
"Fuck, Katie is going to kill me" Noah groaned, trying to keep pressure on his bullet wound, only making things worse.
"Stop moving. Just lay back, I am calling Jax to get the girls to the clubhouse" Opie yelled at him as he picked up his phone to call Jax.
When Jax saw that it was Opie calling, he knew it was trouble. "What's going on Ope?" he answered the phone.
Opie told Jax that he was on the way, and it was bad. "Jax, you need to call Mia and have her meet us at the clubhouse. We are on our way back and it's bad" he said.
"Jesus Christ, this is going to kill Katie" Jax groaned.
Opie let out a stressed breath, "tell me about it" he replied, "we'll see you soon" he stated as he helped keep pressure on Noah's gunshot wound.

Jax paced his office as he called his daughter. He knew she was home with Mia.
"Hey dad, what's up?" she asked.
She wasn't doing anything important. She was just laying down watching TV, trying to catch up on her One Tree Hill.
"Honey, you and your mom need to get to the clubhouse. Noah's been hurt" he said.
Katie sat up concerned, getting up and going to get her mom from the basement.
"Mom, we have to go to the clubhouse" she yelled before going back to her dad on the phone.
"Dad, how bad is it?" she asked gathering all of her medical stuff.
"I don't know honey, your Uncle Opie called and said he was shot" Jax informed her.
"We are on our way" she said before going to get her mom.
Mia was scrambling to collect all the medical supplies she had in the house before running up to greet her daughter.
"What's going on honey? What happened? Your dad didn't call me with anything" she yelled as she ran around the house gathering everything.
"Noah's been shot, dad just called me and Uncle Opie said that he was shot while they were in South Cali. I don't know anymore than that" Katie informed her mom.
Mia nodded and wrapped her arm around her daughters shoulders, pulling her into a hug.
She knew exactly what her daughter was feeling. She has been in that situation more times than she would like.
"Don't stress honey, we are going to get through this together" she reassured her daughter.
Mia knew that Katie was probably stressing out. "Everything is going to be okay babe" she said.
"I am scared mom" she was trying to keep herself together.
"Me too honey, but we have to try and stay positive" Mia said.
They practically ran out of the house and to Mia's jeep. She hit the gas pedal and flew to the clubhouse.
The guys were flying to the clubhouse. They wanted to get Noah to Mia as soon as possible. He needed help.
They pulled in before the girls, that's how fast they were going to get back home. It was a good thing they were only a couple hours away and already on the road when Opie called Jax.
Once the truck pulled into the lot, the guys all ran out to see how Noah was doing. They got him out of the truck and carried him into the clubhouse.
"Jesus Fucking Christ…This motherfucking hurts" Noah groaned as the guys carried him in the clubhouse. "Is Mia here yet? Where's Katie or Chloe?" he asked as Creed and Joey walked into the back, made up infirmary.
"Just relax, the girls are on their way" Creed stated.
"Easy for you to say you Motherfucker, I am the one with bullet holes" Noah argued.
Creed smirked, "see, he is fine. He's arguing with me and everything" he teased.
"I can imagine that Katie is going to inflict worse than a few bullet holes. Be glad you are still alive" Joey added.
"Katie is seriously going to skin you alive" Tommy added with a smirk as he walked in and took a seat on the bench with the medical supplies.
"Can't be as bad as what Chloe is going to do to me when she finds out about this" Abel stated, taking his shirt off, before starting to clean his abrasions.
"Coco is going to kill you too" Tommy stated looking at his brother.
The Original Charter members were standing around the infirmary listening to the younger generation complain and bullshit until the girls pulled up.
It wasn't long did they see two bright headlights fly into the lot. "Mia's here" Tig called from the clubhouse when he saw her car.
"Thank Fuck" Noah groaned, resting against the bed he was laying on.
Mia and Katie got out of the car, slamming their doors, and running into the clubhouse. They ran right to the back to the infirmary.
Katie froze outside the infirmary, staring at the scene in front of her. Creed was casually leaning against the wall by the table, while Noah was laying on the table covered in blood.
His clothes were stained bright red, his jeans and shirt shredded, revealing gashes all over him. He was bleeding everywhere.
"What the hell happened?" Katie asked, tying her hair back before walking in and leaning over to get a closer look at his body.
"Mom, help me" she said to Mia as the girls gently rolled him over to his side to see if there were exit wounds.
Noah couldn't help but groan and squeeze Katie's side as she rolled him towards her.
"Shsh, it's okay. We are just checking for exit wounds. We got you Dimples" Katie said as he squeezed her side as Mia looked over his back.
Mia took out her scissors and cut the material from his body. She pulled the t-shirt from his body and gently felt around his skin with the tips of her fingers.
"What happened?" Katie asked again.
"He got into it with a Devil" Creed replied.
"Shut the hell up, you asshole" Noah groaned as Mia pressed a tender spot.
Creed just started laughing and shook his head.
"He needs surgery, and he needs it quick" Mia made her assessment.
"Babe, he skidded across pavement and got into it with the Devils" Jax added to the diagnosis.
Mia turned to Abel, "how are you doing honey?" she asked helping him pull his shirt off.
"Mom I am fine. It is just a few scrapes and cuts. I'll clean them out and be fine" he reassured her, trying to get away from her prying hands.
"Honey, you be glad that all you have are some abrasions otherwise, Chloe will kick your ass" she stated reaching to check his ribs.
As she pressed around his ribs, she could tell that there was nothing broken or bruised. "You are lucky nothing is broken or bruised" she said.
"I told you, I am good Ma" he replied.
Katie scoffed, "yeah, your good just like Noah is. Your ideas of being good are so far from being good, it's not even funny" she stated before turning to Creed.
"What happened to the Devil?" Katie asked.
"He's been dealt with" Creed replied.
Katie laid Noah back against the table and nodded in understanding. "Good" she said as she started cutting off his clothes.
Mia and Katie stripped Noah until he was in his boxers and got to work. They each took a side as they wiped the blood away before beginning to stitch him up.
It took Mia and Katie over an hour to clean him up on the front before he needed to be repositioned to get the bullet wounds on his back.
"Honey, you need to sit up so I can stitch up your exit wounds" Mia said.
"It's okay mom, I can do it" Katie replied moving around so she was on her mom's side of the table, helping Noah turn so he was laying on his stomach.
Mia laid out the suture kit for her daughter and stepped back as she got to work. Katie stitched him up one bullet hole at a time.
"I told you to be careful and come back to me in one piece" she said to him once everyone walked out.
"I am sorry Dollface, it's not like I asked for this" he groaned the latter part when she pressed some alcohol on his wound.
"You are just lucky that I have medical knowledge and am able to put you back together" she teased.
"I am beyond lucky to have you in my life, not just because you can medically put me back together, but because you put my heart back together" he stated.
Katie smirked and shook her head. "You are such an asshole" she replied.
When Katie was done patching him up. She helped him sit up and dangle over the side of the table.
Noah sat with his legs dangling off the table on either side of Katie's hips.
He placed his hands on the sides of her face and attacked her mouth, nipping and tasting her with unbridled passion.
His tongue danced with hers, sucking and gently biting the tip while she moaned in pleasure. Noah groaned as his hands traveled from her face down her jaw to the side of her hips, pressing her closer to him.
Breaking away, he pressed his forehead against hers, "I love you Dollface" he said pressing kisses to the corners of her mouth before he devoured her whole again.
He licked at her lips, nipping at her lips before she let him in, sucking his tongue into her mouth, causing him to groan and pull her to press into his growing erection, groaning in pain when she pressed against his bullet wounds.
Katie pulled away and looked up at him concerned, "okay, it is time to stop" she said turning and gently holding his waist as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"Babe, there is no way we are not doing this" he said as she led him out of the infirmary to his room.
Katie scoffed, "yes, there is a way we are not doing this" she informed him.
Mia stopped them when they walked into the common room. "How you holding up?" Jax asked.
Noah nodded, "I am okay. It fucking hurts like a bitch though" he said.
Mia gave her daughter a bottle of pain medication and stopped in front of them. "Okay, I gave Katie the pain meds. You can take one pill every six hours. No extracurricular activities for at least 6-8 weeks" she gave out her instructions.
"Come on Mia, she goes back to school in a month" he complained.
Mia sighed, "do you want to pop your stitches? You are going to need to be careful" she reasoned.
"Let's get you to lie down" Katie pulled him away.
"See, she said be careful, that doesn't mean we can't do this" he said as she pulled him away laughing and shaking her head.

The next morning, Noah woke up first. He was beyond sore, but he was not passing up the chance of hooking up with his girl.
She was curled against him, fast asleep. He was using that to his advantage.
Her face was mostly covered by her unruly hair, causing Noah to reach over and brush a few strands away with his free hand.
He trailed a finger over her high cheekbones, down to trace her lips. Her eyes fluttered beneath her lids as they peeled open.
She smiled when she looked up at saw Noah leaning over her, smiling down at her, tracing her lips. She pressed a kiss to them.
"Morning" he greeted.
"Good morning, how are you feeling?" she asked sitting up, wiping the sleep from her eyes.
"I am fine. You doing okay?" he replied.
"You scared me" she said tightening her expression.
"Well, I am a pretty scary guy" he stated.
"I was terrified when my dad called me and told me that you got shot. I was terrified that I'd lose you" she said, tracing his face with her fingers, trying to memorize his face.
"I am okay Dollface. I promise" he said leaning forward to kiss her, "let me show you" he teased, leaning over her.
He touched the back of her head and pulled her towards him, so she was on top. Katie didn't resist when he pressed his lips to hers. She wrapped her arms around her neck and deepened the kiss.
She ran her hand up and down his back as his slid down her body and under her shirt, feeling the soft skin of her stomach and moving higher.
Katie pulled away after a minute, "you need to rest, and we can't do this" she said.
"Come on" he sighed and dramatically fell back against the bed. "If you ride me, then I won't have to exert myself at all. You'll do all the work" he suggested.
Katie smirked, "yeah okay, keep telling yourself that" she teased.
"Come on babe, I love you. What better way to make sure I am still here" he wiggled his eyebrows.
Katie shook her head, and leant forward pressing her forehead against his, cupping his cheeks. "I love you too Dimples" she kissed him almost desperately.
Noah deepened the kiss, digging his fingers in her waist showing no restraint. He couldn't hold himself back anymore.
His boxers were beyond tented. Katie put her hands on his shoulders and supported herself as she straddled his waist.
"I thought you didn't want to risk my health" he teased.
She smirked, "shut up or do you want me to stop?" she replied.
He vehemently shook his head, "nope, don't stop" he stated zipping his lips.
Katie sat on his lap and started grinding in a small circle, smiling as she felt him grow underneath her.
"Seriously Dollface, I thought you wouldn't torture me today" he complained.
She laughed, "then you don't know me very well" she teased, smiling against his lips.
He traced the tip of his tongue against her lips before sliding his tongue in to tangle with hers, sucking it in deep.
Katie couldn't help but grind deeper on his lap as he started pumping his hips, pushing his length deeper into her lap, the pressure almost becoming unbearable.
Noah's motions grew frantic. Katie pressed her forehead against his, panting for breath, circling his lap.
"I'm coming" he rasped, squeezing her hips, pushing her deeper into him, holding her over him, squeezing her ass as they both erupted in their underwear.
They rested against each other panting. "That was not how I saw this morning going" he teased.
Katie smiled and chuckled against his lips. "You are lucky you got some at all" she replied.
Before Noah could retort, there was a knock on the door. "Get your ass up and answer the door" Creed called out.
Katie couldn't help but start laughing as she pulled away in time for Creed to open the door. He leant against the doorway smirking.
"You really shouldn't barge into someone's bedroom like that" Noah said in amusement, holding Katie closer to him.
Creed shook his head, "well, it's a good thing I knocked then. Mia would be kicking your ass for messing up her handywork. Jax would be kicking your ass if he walked in on what I did this morning" he commented.
Katie got off Noah's lap, fixing her shirt as she rested against the headboard, holding a pillow to her chest.
"You are such an asshole, you know that?" he asked.
Creed walked in and picked up Noah's sweats before throwing them at him. "You might want to get dressed before Mia comes to check your stitches. Jax wants details on what went down. We are meeting in 30 minutes" he explained.

4 Weeks Later…
Creed, Noah, Junior, Abel and Tommy caged in Katie's jeep as the Teller's made their way to Tacoma on the way to Seattle Medical School.
Katie was nervous about her relationship, but she was excited about finishing school. Since Parker, Katie, and Jules were in an accelerated program at school, they were starting medical school early.
Parker and Jules were waiting outside the apartment when the guys pulled up.
Katie jumped out of the car and ran into her friends' arms. "BITCHY!" Jules squealed wrapping Katie in her arms.
The girls started crying. "We did it" Katie said wiping her friends' tears, while Jules did the same.
Parker started laughing and wrapped his arms around both girls. "The fact that you two are crying just proves that you two are beyond crazy" he teased.
"You love us" Jules slapped his stomach.
He nodded and pulled them into his chest, kissing the top of their heads, "no doubt" he stated before pulling away to greet the rest of the guys from Charming.
"Biker Hunk" Jules greeted.
Noah pulled her into a side hug. "Hi Jules, Congratulations" he said.
She nodded before moving to greet everyone else. Once the guys all greeted each other, they started picking up boxes and stuff from the truck and the jeep to take up to the apartment.
"Where do you want this stuff, Katie?" Junior asked.
"Just put them in my bedroom and I will go through the boxes later" she replied.
"You got it Princess" he winked as he carried the boxes in her room.
Jules's hip checked her and shook her head with a smirk, "where can I get one of those?" she teased.
Katie laughed and hooked an arm around her friends' shoulders. "You already have one of those" she replied.
Jules just started laughing and nodded her head to Johnny, "I can still look and enjoy though, can't I?" she stated.
Katie giggled and went to the kitchen to make some salad since they ordered pizza for everyone.
Katie had most of her stuff there already, it was just the new stuff she acquired over the summer. The girls stood in the middle of their living room looking at everyone gathered around eating pizza.
Jules wrapped her arms around Katie's shoulders. She nudged her friend's hip. "You, okay?" she asked.
Katie nodded, "yeah, I was just thinking that things are going to change" she said.
Jules shook her head, "nothing is going to change. We are going to be fine. We are the three musketeers, and we are always going to be there for each other" Jules stated.
Mia walked over to the girls and wrapped her arms around her daughter, "you okay honey? Everything looks great in here" she asked.
Katie nodded "I am okay mom; I am just scared that things will change" she vented.
Mia nodded in understanding. "I get that honey, but it worked out with your dad and I, your Uncle Reaper and Holly made it through her going to nursing school. You are going to be fine. Besides, your dad would kick his ass if he doesn't accept it" she reassured her daughter.
"He knows you have wanted to go medical school since you were little putting barbie band aids on the guys. He isn't going to let anything stop that" Mia added.
Katie smiled and laughed, hugging her mom. "That's true" she replied.
Everyone that she talked to about this situation has told her the same thing. Realistically, she knew that Noah wasn't going anywhere, it was just a fear she had.
The girls literally stood in the living room to direct orders on where to put their stuff. The guys spent a couple hours at least rearranging the furniture and moving Katie back into her apartment.
"Are you excited for school to start Princess?" Johnny asked, grabbing Jules around the waist and pulling her into his lap.
Katie nodded, "yeah but I am also nervous. I am glad that we all have time between clinicals to meet up for lunch. It would do me good seeing familiar faces" she replied.
"You guys are going to be fine" Creed reassured her for the 1000th time.
As it got later in the night and the guys finished up moving Katie in, it was time for them to leave.
"You have a good start to your school year Princess. We will see you in a couple weeks when we come up for the 'fun run'" Jax said pulling her into his arms.
Katie rested against her dad and squeezed him into a hug. "I will miss you daddy" she replied.
Jax kissed the top of her head, "you're going to do great sweetheart. You call Johnny or Danny if you need anything" he said before she moved down the line saying goodbye to her friends.
Creed gave her a hug, "I'll see you in a few weeks. Stay out of trouble" he kissed the top of her head before leaving.
Mia was in tears as she hugged her daughter to her. "I wish you nothing but the best honey. You focus on school and enjoy this time in your life. Don't stress or worry about the little things. Your relationship is going to be fine" she whispered some mom wisdom, hoping to ease her worry.
"You guys call me anytime if you need me" she said to the group of them before turning to her daughter again, "you call your Aunt Holly if you need her. She is doing a teaching rotation in Nevada. Reaper already said he is coming to check on you while she is here" she informed her daughter.
"Awesome. I will mom. Don't worry about me" Katie replied giving her another hug, wiping her tears as she walked them out.
Noah was staying for the first day of classes, to make sure she got settled.
The guys all waves as they mounted their bikes and made their way back to Charming.
Noah wrapped an arm around her shoulders and kissed her temple. "Okay babe?" he asked, looking down at her concerned.
She nodded, resting against his shoulder. "I will be" she replied.

The next morning, Katie and Jules were beyond nervous for their first day.
Noah sat on their couch watching as they fluttered around the apartment making sure they had everything for their first day.
45 minutes later, Katie was the first to come down in a black skater dress with a pink cardigan, her hair down in waves, wearing black ankle boots.
Noah got up and put a plate of eggs and bacon in front of her with some tea. "Good morning, Dollface" he greeted.
Katie took a bite of eggs and sip of tea before reaching up to give him a kiss, "morning, you been up long?" she asked as she continued eating.
He shook his head, pulling her into his lap, "no, just wanted to make you girls some breakfast before your first day and wish you luck" he replied kissing the side of her neck.
Katie smiled as she continued eating, Jules's walking in before she could say anything. "Uh, Thank God there is coffee" she went right to the coffee machine.
"Good morning, Roomie" Noah teased.
"Not before I drink my coffee" she replied practically moaning when she took a sip of coffee.
Noah laughed, "damn, that good" he replied.
"Shut up! I was busy with the move and then I spent most of the night with Johnny. I didn't get back until like 3am" she informed them.
Noah nodded over his cup of coffee, "I know, I heard you come in. I thought you would have stayed at the clubhouse with Johnny" he stated.
She shook her head, helping herself to some eggs and bacon. "I wanted to be ready for my first day. If I stayed at the clubhouse, I would be running to my first class" she replied.
Katie and Noah looked at each other knowingly. If she stayed at the clubhouse, she would be too wrapped up with Johnny to get herself together for school.
Katie would be the same way if she were at the clubhouse with Noah. It was a different vibe.
"You ready for this?" Jules asked Katie.
Katie nodded, "I don't know. I hope so, I am just so nervous" she replied.
Jules shook her head, "Kat, we went over this. We got this. Those medical school bitches are going to be eating out of our hands" she stated with confidence, making Katie laugh.
"You must have gotten laid because you are too chipper this morning" Katie teased.
Jules blushed bright red and shrugged around a bite of eggs. Before she could say anything, there was a knock at the door and they heard the door opening, "Jules" Johnny called as he walked in.
He found them all in the kitchen, pulling Jules into his lap, kissing the crook of her neck. "Morning Blondie" he greeted.
She smiled at him and offered him a bite of eggs, "Morning handsome" she replied kissing his cheek.
"What are you doing here? You barely got any sleep" she added, wrapping her arm around his neck, running her fingers through the back of his hair.
"I wanted to see you off on your first day, make sure you got settled okay" he replied, looking her over, "you wearing that?" he asked.
Jules and Katie looked at each other with a knowing glance. They both started laughing. "Guys, we have to be business casual. We have to show those rich bitches" Jules stated.
The guys just looked at each other shaking their heads. They were glad that the girls were at least going together so they could look out for each other.
After breakfast, the girls grabbed their bags and mounted the bikes behind the guys as they took off towards Seattle Medical School.
All the students turned as the bikes rumbled their way through campus, to the entrance of the school. They rolled up right to the steps.
The girls got off and turned, giving Noah and Johnny a hug and kiss goodbye. As the guys were leaving, Parker walked up.
He wrapped his arms around the girls' shoulders. "Morning beauties" he greeted, kissing their cheek, "making a scene I see" he stated nodding towards the guys who left.
Katie and Jules started laughing, "that wasn't our intention. The guys just wanted to see us off on our first day. You ready for this?" Jules asked looking up at Parker.
"Yeah, I have anatomy first" Parker said.
"I have Biochemistry" Jules stated.
"I have Biostatistics/ epidemiology" Katie added.
Parker shrugged his shoulders, "well, we'll meet up at 12 for lunch. I'll meet you guys in the café across from the fountain" he stated, kissing their temples before they all split up.

Katie walked into her first class nervous. She was freaking out, wondering if she could really handle this.
Mia was an amazing doctor. Holly was a beyond wonderful trauma nurse. She had a family history of amazingly wonderful medical professionals. She didn't want to let them down.
She felt like she had the weight of her family and the world on her shoulders as she walked into Biostatistics.
She sat at an empty desk, getting out her laptop. It wasn't long before someone walked up to her, casting a shadow over her desk.
"Hi, I'm Lina, is this seat taken?" she asked, nodding to the desk next to her.
Katie shook her hand and shook her head, "no, please help yourself. I am Katie Teller" she greeted.
"Nice to meet you" Lina said as she took her seat and also pulled out a laptop.
"Are you from here?" Katie asked.
She needed to take her mind off the fact she was sitting here in her first class in medical school.
"No, I am actually from Oregon. I was just accepted into Medical School here, so I moved to an apartment not far from here. In Fairmount Square" she informed her.
Katie nodded, "those are really nice apartments. My friends and I have an apartment not far from there. I'll introduce you to them one day if you like" she replied excitedly that she made a friend.
"That would be great. God, I am sorry, I am just so glad that I was able to meet someone and make a friend in this class" Lina stated.
Katie nodded in agreement. "Me too, I was nervous for this class. I still am" she replied.
Before anyone could say anything else, the professor walked in. Everyone got quiet and sat up straighter in their seats.
"Good Morning Everyone. Welcome to your first day of Medical School. The first day of the rest of your lives. This class is the first of many that will shape your future, if you don't think you are up to the challenge, I will give you the next thirty seconds to walk out" he said.
No one got up, everyone looking at each other surprised. They didn't think that would be the first thing their professor said on the first day.
When no one moved in the past thirty seconds, the professor nodded, "Okay then, my name is Dr. Zack Hass, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to your future. I hope to follow you through your journey and know that my door is always open" he introduced them to their first class.
The girls were excited to start their first class, but nervous at the same time.
Katie went through her morning class feeling like her head was going to explode. It was a lot of information all at once.
She was grateful, sighing in relief when she saw Jules and Parker sitting together by the fountain on campus, drinking coffee.
Walking over, she sat next to them, sagging in relief as she plopped down between them. "Thank God you guys are here. I missed you guys this morning. I feel like my head is going to explode" she stated.
"At least your teacher didn't scare the crap out of you within the first 5 minutes of class" Jules added.
"No, my teacher did the same thing" Katie held up her coffee in gratitude.
"That's not as bad as my professor hitting on me in front of the whole class. It is weird and creepy" Parker added his input.
It was nice to sit with friends for the hour break they had and vent about their first classes.
The rest of their classes flew by. The first day was mostly about getting the students acclimated to the class and getting them familiar with the requirements each professor put in place.
That alone was a lot because each professor wanted something different and expected something different.
By the end of the day, Katie really felt that her head was going to explode.
"Hey Katie" she turned on her way to the parking lot to see Lina waving her down, running after her.
"Hey Lina, how was the rest of your day?" she asked as Lina caught up to Katie.
Lina nodded, "it was okay. I feel like my head is going to explode, but it was okay" she replied, nodding to her, "and you?" she replied.
Katie nodded in agreement, "the same" she said as they walked out to the parking lot together.
"Do you need a ride?" Lina asked.
They both turned at the rumble of a motorcycle. The girls stopped and watched as the bike rolled through campus, around the fountain, and to the entrance of the parking lot.
The biker pulled up his visor and winked at the girls.
"Hey Dollface, how was your first day?" he asked.
Lina's jaw hit the floor, "is it wrong that I just came a little" she whispered to Katie, who threw her head back laughing.
Katie wrapped her arm around Lina's and led her to Noah. "Hi Dimples" she walked up and kissed him.
"Noah, this is Lina. Lina, this is my fiancé Noah" she introduced.
"Damn girl" Lina whispered before turning to Noah, nodding at him, "hi, nice to meet you" she said before turning to her friend, "I'll see you tomorrow?"
Katie nodded and hugged her friend, "for sure, I'll see you tomorrow and introduce you to Jules and Parker" she stated.
Lina nodded and waved as she walked off to her car.
Noah pulled Katie into her arms. "How was your first day?" he asked.
She nodded, "it was pretty good actually. Lina made my first class tolerable. I am glad I met her; she is really sweet" she informed him.
"Good, I am glad babe" he replied, "you ready to get out of here?" he added.
She sagged against him as he played with her hair, massaging her scalp, resting her head against his shoulder. "You have no idea. I feel like my head is going to explode with all the information I received today" she replied.
"I am glad you made a friend babe, but maybe give it a few until you bring her by the clubhouse. Those Tacoma boys will eat her up and spit her out. She is pretty hot so you know they will be all over her" he teased.
"You think she is hot?" she questioned.
He backtracked really quick, "you know, speaking in the general sense. Who do you think is hot? You know in the general sense" he replied.
She smiled and nodded, "In the general sense, I would have to say Creed. He is gorgeous"
Noah clenched his jaw, "you just had to go there, didn't you? I guess I deserved that" he replied shaking his head.
Katie leant up on her tip toes and rested her forehead against his, "you had that coming and you know it. Besides, you know you're hot and I am totally into you. I'll be sure to tell you that when my dad walks me down the aisle to be yours forever" she pressed a kiss to his lips.
Noah smiled, nipping at her lips, deepening the kiss to devour her. He was going to miss her when he left.
"Come on, let's go" he helped her on the bike before riding to her apartment.
Jules was going to the clubhouse after school, so they had the apartment to themselves.
Noah stripped his clothes down to his boxers and flopped onto Katie's bed. Katie walked into her room, dropped her bag on the chair by her desk and stripped her clothes.
She put on one of Noah's shirts that she stole and got in bed, cuddling next to him, resting her head against his shoulder.
He wrapped an arm around her and dug his fingers in her hair, massaging her scalp.
"I was so nervous today, but I was glad that I met Lina. It was exciting learning all that new stuff. I can't wait to do this" she said.
"You are going to be great babe. I am proud of you" he said leaning down to kiss the top of her head.
"I don't want to let anyone down though" she mumbled.
"What do you mean babe?" he looked down at her confused.
Katie sat up, looking down at him shrugging. "My mom is an amazing doctor. My Aunt Holly was top of her class in nursing school. I have all that history to live up to. The women in my family are beyond medically talented. I have to live up to that" she vented everything.
Noah pulled her back into his arms and kissed her temple, "you are going to live up to that and there is nothing stopping you from being amazing. You don't have to worry about being awesome. You are already awesome. I promise you that" he reassured her.
She nodded, drawing patterns against his chest, "I hope so" she replied.
