A Reunion Gone Wrong
"Hn?"
She turns to see the elf from before
"You!" Mo yells "Who are you?"
Nothing comes out of his mouth
"We asked Who are you? Yuko Shouts
The strange elf finally speaks up "You, You are Francesco's daughter aren't you."
"H-How do you know my dad?"
"This is all your fault!" He shouts aiming his spray at her
"What are you talking about? Mia did nothing!" Simo intervenes
Mo not wanting to lose also stands in front of Mia "Explain!"
As he was about to spray them a white unicorn with wings kicks the spray from his hand.
"Onchao!"
Defenseless, the strange elf gives up.
"Fine You win."
"Finally" Yuko sighs in relief
"Now could you tell us who you are and how you know my father?" Mia asks calmly
"This is something only Mia can hear. Can you other elves step to the side?"
"Is this some kind of trick" Mo shouts
"No it's not trust me"
"Why should we?" Yuko responds with an raised eyebrow.
"It's fine, if he knows my father then he may be able to help." Mia says to calm the group
"Alright but we will be on the side call us for help when needed," Simo says.
The group flies off not too far but not too close. Mia and the strange elf are left alone well except for the two in the other world.
"What did you mean by it being my fault? And how do you know my father?" Mia questions.
"Huh," he sighs "My name is Gio. Years ago your father came to me saying that he needed my help to develop a game for you. We created this prototype," he said showing his wrist. It was a brown bracelet with a green jewel.
"A prototype?"
"Yeah, we had the one I was wearing and the one you have on. We tested it out together and it was great. The issue was I couldn't go back but that was okay. I told your father that I would stay and research Centopia to check if everything was okay. He agreed and said that he will bring me home in a week with another bracelet…but that man never did!"
Upon hearing this Mia's eyes were filled with tears.
"I was fine with it but weeks passed by," he continued. I soon started to hear about a pink elf who could talk to unicorns and I knew that was you because he specifically chose your design. My family hadn't seen me in a long time. Time goes fast here so I don't know how long it really has been. I-I haven't seen my family in years so I decided that I will keep you here so he wouldn't see his child. You didn't come here for days and this morning I heard talk that you were back so I placed my plan into action. I developed that spray after researching the stone unicorn and then tested it on a couple of unicorns." He finished with an angry look.
"Mr. Gio…my parents both passed away years ago,"
"What?! that cannot be!" He exclaimed.
"I don't think he would have forgotten you if it wasn't the case…You see my Aunt (I think) gave me the present earlier."
"Yet you knew nothing of me?"
"I'm guessing he kept it a secret so I wouldn't find out," She flashed a small sad smile.
"Why are you here then? After all these years?"
"I received an oracle and perhaps it was talking about you!"
"That is impossible! The game shouldn't be able to do that."
"What do you mean?"
"It's a game it shouldn't make a new level because you finished it years ago…Unless it considers me as a bug in the system,"
"Maybe it is that but is there any way to reverse it all?"
"Possibly. But first I need to fix that bracelet of yours then I need to leave in order to fix the game."
"How do we do that?"
"I'm going to have to see those books your friend had."
"You were listening?"
"Of course!"
Meanwhile with the rest of the group:
"This is taking too long!" Mo says.
"We have to trust Mia she will call us if she is in danger," Simo states
"But what do you think those books were?" Yuko wonders. "And that name elf mentioned is oddly familiar,"
"Now that you mentioned it, it does seem familiar. You wouldn't forget a strange name like that one."
"Maybe you could ask your parents, Prince Mo," Simo proposed.
"...Maybe."
Sorry for this somewhat short chapter. I am kind of running out of ideas for this. Any Suggestions?
