AN- Popped into my head when I was searching through other O.C. fics. Dunno when it's supposed to fit into the plot of the O.C., but possibly toward the beginning before anything between Seth and Summer happened. First O.C. fic of mine.

Anything For You

"You liked her since Junior High?"

"Well…I'd like to think of her and I as soul mates, and that our souls and love for each other has been and always will be."

Ryan and Seth had both just came back from an outing with Marissa and Summer. Although, it was more of a date for Ryan and Marissa than Seth and Summer. Seth faithfully chased after Summer the entire date, but the longest sentence that she said to him was "Ewww! Cohen! You're so obsessed with those dumb comics." He had held back any comment he would make in response of that and reminded himself that he and her were soul mates.

"You wouldn't have known that on your 'date'," Ryan said, stating the obvious. "So, was there ever a time in which she showed love and compassion toward you?"

"Ah, yes. As a matter of fact, one specific location on memory lane has a neon sign flashing…"

It was 6th grade at Harbor Junior High. Last period, art.

The project for art was to make a mosaic out of magazine clippings, one catch: you had to supply your own magazines. Mrs. Anderson explained that you must use a magazine that is special to you so the finished product would be special to you, too. The cheerleader clan used Junior Cheerleader. The soccer and football clan used Sports Illustrated. Everyone else who wasn't in a designated clan swiped a magazine from the Main Office.

Seth sat toward the back of the room with a new Batman Adventures comic book open on his desk. And Seth, being a good student like he is, finished his art project early so he could zone out for art class reading comics. He yawned, running his hand through his curly dark brown hair as his light brown eyes never left the wonderfully colored pages. Clad in roomy blue jeans, he was almost like any other 'cool' 6th grader, but the X-Men tee he wore quickly broke the picture.

"Aw! C'mon guys! I need one!" Summer whined as her fellow cheerleaders took their magazines, leaving Summer without any. There was about ten minutes left in the period. The project had to be done this period. Her unearthy chocolate brown scanned the room for any useable materials. None. …Except… "Cohen!"

"Huh, what?" Seth snapped out of the work of Gotham City and focused on who was calling his name, or actually his last name. Wait…the voice…the one…it was all familiar. Was it? Could it be? Was Summer actually addressing him? "Oh…Summer…h-hi!" He jolted up from his seat, almost knocking over the chair he sat on. "What's u-"

"No time to talk now, Cohen. I need your comic book. NOW," Summer said with the comic already in hand and started to walk back to her seat with it.

"Hey, wait!" A decision had to be made. His comic book, or the love of Summer… He was the hero right now, Summer had her 'magazine' that she could use for the art project. But…Seth really liked Batman… and this was the last issue at the store! Comic book…Summer…comic book…Summer… Holy cracker! Why was he even having this mental argument?! It was all Summer. Summer 100. Seth watched from his seat as the love of his life ripped and cut apart the new Batman Adventures issue. A smile formed itself on his soft lips. "Anything for you, Summer. Anything…"

"…aren't you forgetting the loving and compassion part of the story?" Ryan asked, raising a brow.

"Oh no, my friend. The entire story was full of love and compassion of Summer," Seth said rather matter-of-factly.

"Or do you mean, the entire story was full of love and compassion for Summer?"
