Chapter 1: Back with the White Devil

(October 22, 2001, Monday)(Shirogane Residence)

My eyes opened once more to a familiar ceiling as my house. at first glance it felt like i was back home in my world. but looking at the wartorn ruins outside however changed all of that. The memories of everything that has happened as well has not changed, I'm still a Casualty Conductor, I'm still stuck in hell... But this time this loop will be different.

After all I didn't come back alone, I came back with my new partner, One that can keep up and take the punishment I give out to the BETA. Before walking out of the house for my waiting machine outside, I decided to pack some of my stuff that was kinda essential to me.

Standing up from my seat that I always wake in I quickly move to my closet fully aware of my surroundings. Yes I'm aware that my room looks like any normal teenagers room at the moment but I know once I leave it'll become a ruin of what once was, exactly like the ruins surrounding it.

Packing my school uniforms, some food rations, some electronics(Like my Game Guy), and took some snacks i had lying on the cupboard with some instant ramen as well. I took one last look at my room, before moving to the door.

The house was quiet.Too quiet.

Usually at this time, Sumika would be up at this time banging my door with her usual temper. Meiya would be by my side, and Tsukuyomi and the three idiots (Kamiyo, Tomoe, and Ebisu) would be cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Hehe... I felt tears slide down my cheek, just thinking back on those times makes me cry.

I will return one day… I don't know when… probably in another thousand years maybe. But I do know that I will come back. I will come back and see the smiles on Sumika's face. Meiya's calm demeanor, Tsukuyomi's tasty breakfast and the three idiots that pester me on a daily basis.

"I'm off…" I said to the house which was probably my last sanctuary in this world. And once I opened the door leading to the outside world, the game was on. The sight of my house turned to ruins when I left through those doors. The once clean place where I used to live crumbled to nothing but dust leaving only broken bricks and concrete in its wake. There was a damaged TSF at the side of the building where Sumika's house used to be. I remembered the first time I saw it I thought this was some kind of dream. But there's no point in believing that this was a dream anymore.

This was Real.. As Real as all the other loops I've done.

Before walking to the road I saw my new partner that I was able to bring with me... wait a second... did it change? as I approached, I noticed that its colors where no longer the White, Gold, and Blue I was so familiar with. It now had what looked to be a Dark Grey covering with glowing Dark Neon Blue accenting the vents on its chest legs and hip. The Crest on its head seemed to be changed as well looking more streamlined than than it used to be, its green eyes glinting in the day light. It looked like the armor was also changed, covering more but at the same time giving it a sleeker streamlined appearance.

Every weapon the Barbatos had has also changed. The Thrusters at its back that looks like it belonged more on a TSF than a Mobile suit. The 130mm Rifle on its back that could go through countless Mobile Suits back in the world of Mobile Suits was slightly shrunk to be able to be held in one hand. The Katana seems to have been remodified to look more like a PB-Blade that Japanese TSF pilots use.

It looked like a cross between Mobile Suit and TSF.

Hmm... I approached the mecha with slight awe and concern. What changed it so much like this. Hmm... as I continue inspecting it I noticed the pilot cord was down and the cockpit was open so I grabbed the cord and pressed the button on the handle that retracts it. As I was moving up higher I saw Yokohama base just three or four blocks away from me and Barbatos' position. Finally reaching the top I saw the cockpit has also changed to simulate the cockpits that TSF have. As I checked out the controls I saw a note.

Hey Takeru, if you're reading this I took the liberty of reshaping Barbatos to fit your universe, hehe its actually a universal rule for Mecha that are from different universe to be changed in some way while keeping the abilities and arsenal it has with little changes as much as possible so have fun. And may your Fight against those monsters be worth it.

Mika... alternate dimension Mika I should've known hehe. It's a good thing I convinced Mika to not fight the last battle, that orbital bombardment was hell.

I wonder how's everyone doing and are they alright over there at Tekkadan.

Shaking my head away from depressing thoughts, I smiled and saw the modified fortified suit. It was colored in UN colors

and had a small symbol of Tekkadan on the left chest. Putting it on the familiar feeling of a Fortified suit and connecting with Barbatos all rushed back. I was in my element, the cockpit of a TSF/Mobile Suit. Activating the thrusters and checking the systems I was pleasantly surprised to see that Barbatos as a TSF had a stealth system similar to the F-22 Raptor of the Americans. With a final grin, the system check was over and my XM3 was already implemented into the machine which makes getting used to the controls like I never even left.

And with that I sped away landing a little away from the base to a hidden area where I can hide Barbatos.

After disembarking and making sure Barbatos was properly hidden, I changed back to my school uniform again, to walk the rest of the way over to Yokohama base.

The road leading up to my school was a sight I never thought I'd see again and again. I don't know how many times I've graduated from cadet school but it was darn well received. Thanks to Kasumi giving me every memory I had locked away before my last fight...before my death, from my last loop, I now remember every moment that happened in my life. Not only that, but because my memories returned, my body seemed to have undergone a great physical change as well. I saw it the moment I changed into my school uniform. I had grown six packs strong enough to crack open a walnut between them. My body was more fit and grew slightly larger and even my own uniforms seemed to be tight.

This can only add to a good thing hopefully. But now was to think about what to do. The reason I returned like this was because of everything that happened. If I continue to be how I am there's no doubt that this time would be no different from the last. Good thing I already had more changes with Barbatos here in this loop I'm going to change the world, my destiny… then I'll have to grab it with my own two hands and mold it into my own. That's right. My destiny. No one else's.

I've changed myself from my times in Tekkadan… if I am to have any hope of changing the course of this world I'll be a demon to the BETA to save everyone... No matter what.

I walked up through the road where the cherry blossom trees were planted. The marker where Marimo-chan and the rest of Valkyrie Company where laid to rest was not there anymore. I remembered visiting that place often whenever I was unsure of something. But this time… I will make sure. I will make sure that if someone was to die… it would be me. These people gave it their all to help me… to make me happy. Now it was time to return that favor.

I paid my respect to the tree where the monument was once placed and left. I need no distractions right now. Yokohama base was just next door. The U.N. 11th Pacific Army was stationed here to assist the imperial forces in fighting the BETA. Heh… I remembered laughing so hard when I saw that radar dish on top of my school building. If I remember correctly, this was the time when those two guards arrested me and brought me to the holding cell.

"Yo there" and I was right there were indeed two guards. At first I thought these guys were jerks but after awhile I realized that they were just doing their jobs. "Finished your stroll already?" they were friendly enough to greet me even though this was the first time we've met. "Alright just state your squad and ID number and you can pass through"

I felt a little tinge of happiness at the bottom of my heart. Even though this was my prison… I have to admit that I was grateful for being trapped in this space."Hey buddy. Stop fooling around and say it already"I wanted to try something new. "Sorry, but I think you have me mistaken for someone else" their friendly smiles turned to a frown when I mentioned that. "I'm looking for Yokohama base so I was wondering if this was it""Identify yourself" they immediately raised their guns at me. Well I guess there's no changing it there. "State your name, ID number and the squad that you're assigned to""I can give you my name but I don't have the other two" I joked at them which they didn't take lightly. I guess being a civilian can do that to you. "Anyway can you guys contact, Kouzuki Yuuko? (Eh?)" the two guards visibly flinched at the name since she was perhaps the most powerful person in the base. "Tell her about me and she'll clear it up"One of the guards clicked with his radio while his partner kept his eyes on me. I wasn't afraid of a gun barrel anymore. I've seen bigger ones pointed at me plenty of times. "Hey" he called me. "The professor asked for your name"I smirked. Maybe this might change something. "Tell her… It's about the Fourth plan" I listened closely to his conversation to the radio and even though it's feint I could actually hear the professor gasp on the other line.After awhile, the guard lowered his gun. "We've been told to escort you to the professor's office. We are so sorry we didn't think you were a close friend of the professor" Huh? that's new Yuuko never did this in the other loops. I wonder what happened? "But, even if you are a close friend of the Professor please put your hands where I can see them, protocol and all"" I understand"

We walked for about ten minutes or so before we reached the lower office of the professor. It was just as I remembered it. After all, I have been walking over these halls for years now so you could say that I know this place like the back of my hand. The three-door corridor that I often came to was in sight. If I remember correctly, Sumika… or should I say unit 00 and Kasumi are in the other room while the professor's office was at the center. The lab was on my door to my left. I had to be careful around them. If Kasumi gets a chance to read my mind then it'll be all over.Upon entering I could see Yuuko-Sensei on the other side sitting on her comfy chair. The office was a big mess just like it always has been. I doubt it was ever clean to begin with anyhow."Professor, we brought him as you ordered" the guard stated upon entering.

Yuuko nodded. "Thank you. You can leave us now" they saluted and left the room just as easy as they came.

Well this was awkward... She's just sitting there staring at me.

"... Idiot" she whispered to herself.

"Huh? I didn't hear you-"

"You Big Idiot!!!!" She yelled at me. Wait why is she yelling? Did I do some-

"You... why did you die?" Eh? "Why did you die in the final battle against the BETA... Why did you have to act like a hero!?"

"Yuuko-Sensei...?" no wait this isn't right. Did she come back with me?

"Yes, Shirogane... I'm the Yuuko you know here I just came back with you. Someway somehow I travelled here through your death. I'm in the loop with you... I'm also a Casualty Conductor"
