DISCLAIMER: I do not own Sue Thomas FBeye or any of its characters, so if you recognize a person from this program or any other (I might put in a cameo here and there), know that I do not own them at all. All scenarios and people that you do not recognize, I own that, though they might be inspired from something else, but in no way is it copying them. If I am missing something in this copyright notice, please let me know!
KEY: Italics are a memory, and all caps is ASL. Sorry, some of my ASL grammar is bad. I only know some ASL, so if anyone knows how to properly say any sentences I write in ASL, please let me know, and I will change it to be how it should be!
NOTE TO roban05: Thank you. And ha! I've been feeling like the stories I'm writing are different and mostly uninspired for a while. It's amazing no one noticed it until now! I was actually writing another story after this, however it is so uninspired and boring, that is how I realized that it is not working. I got halfway through, and that is when I realized I am just wasting my time on something that is not working anymore. I really do hope I will become inspired again, but until then, enjoy this nice and long story, and all 46 others (wow! I can't believe I wrote that many!). Maybe I will be inspired to rewrite and revamp the stories like I said I would do a while ago. But until then, it's bittersweet. I will miss interacting with my favorite friends every day, but I do believe it's for the best. We will meet again soon!
TRIVIA: How did Cathi and Myles meet?
?-?
"That one!" Cathi happily exclaimed as she pointed to a ring inside the case.
"You heard the lady." Myles satisfactorily smiled to the jewelry shop employee. The couple were spending their Saturday afternoon engagement ring shopping, perusing all the different styles, daydreaming of their big day.
"Let's size it up for her." The employee said as she took the engagement ring out of the case. She then grabbed her ring sizing tools. Once she had Cathi's ring finger size, she took the ring in the back to let the jeweler size it up.
"I can't believe I'll finally have a ring to go with our engagement!" Cathi happily exclaimed, wrapping her arms around her fiancé.
"Yes, I'm sorry it took over a week. We were just so busy finishing up the case, we just couldn't find a day where the both of us were free during their business hours.
She shrugged in reply. "I didn't mind. But now I have something to show off on Monday!"
He chuckled at her exuberance. "Yes, you will. But what do I have to show off to them?"
She frowned, thinking. "You're right. Men don't have anything to show off their engagement!"
"Oh, but I do have something to show off our engagement." He replied, pulling her closer.
"What?" She quietly asked, looking deep into his eyes.
"You, and the story of how we met."
"Ooh, you don't want to tell that story!" She complained, letting go and lightly slapping his arm.
"And why not?" He protested.
"Because it's a boring story!"
"No it isn't."
"Yes it is!"
"No it isn't."
"Ahem." The jewelry store employee interrupted their banter.
Turning towards the woman, the couple stopped and smiled.
"Your engagement ring, ma'am." She announced, elaborately handing Cathi the now appropriately sized ring.
"I'll take that." Myles said, grabbing it from the woman just as Cathi was about to take it.
Frowning, his fiancé looked at him. "Hey!" She complained. "What was that for?"
"For this." He calmly replied as he got on one knee.
Realizing his intentions, her frown dissipated and was replaced with a wide smile.
"Cathi Armstrong," He started, holding the ring up high. "Would you honor me with being your husband?"
"Yes, of course!" She excitedly said, holding out her hand so he could slip the ring onto her finger.
"A perfect fit." He said, standing up.
"Yes, it is." She happily replied, looking at the ring, then at him, then back again. "A very perfect fit!"
?-?
"I know, I know," Sue said to Barky, who was nosing his owner as she prepped a mid-Monday morning snack for the kids. "You'll get your lunch soon enough. But if you want some of this, you'll have to ask the kids if they want to share this with you."
As soon as she said this, Barky quickly turned and ran to the kids, begging from them.
Seeing what he did when she brought the snacks to the living room, she chuckled. He was listening to what she said. "How about you?" She said to Sunny, who was calmly sitting in the kitchen doorway, watching the happenings. "You want some too?"
Laying down, she just stayed in her place. She apparently wasn't in the mood. Shrugging, Sue walked over to the kids, each handing them their snacks. "Now," she started. "While we're eating these snacks, how about we learn about how these snacks were made?"
"Aw, come on, Mom!" Mellody complained. "Do you have to make every second a learning moment?"
She smiled at her daughter. "I'll have you know, every moment is a learning moment, whether it's a school moment or not. But it's best to make the best out of every situation, right? So let's learn about the snacks, alright?"
Shrugging, the girl didn't say anything and the small class proceeded to learn about what they were eating.
?-?
"Listen up, people!" Jack announced late that morning. When he saw he had everyone's attention, he continued. "We have a kidnapping case."
"Oh dear." Sarah said, already worrying about the victim.
"This kid's been missing for almost 3 hours. We all know the first 24 hours are the most critical. Let's get moving!"
With that, everyone started gathering their things they would need to solve the case.
