Just as the day was getting close to dusk, Mary Jane finally made it back to her apartment in Greenwich after a long travel on foot. As she unbraided her hair to let it flow down loosely, MJ laid her back against her couch to try ease herself from the spontaneous events that just happened to her a few hours ago.

After a few moments of relaxation, she suddenly remembered about Harry being hurt back at the festival. Despite still feeling exhausted, MJ forced herself off her couch and grabbed her telephone that was residing on her desk, quickly dialling for his mobile to know if he's still okay.

Finally, someone answered the phone. "Hello?"

"Harry?"

"Oh, thank god," Harry said in relief. "Where are you? Are you alright?"

"I'm alright. I'm at home right now," MJ said. "Spider-Man saved me."

"What? He didn't hurt, did he?" Harry said worriedly, not liking the idea of Spider-Man near his girl.

"No, he's just... " MJ paused for a moment, her mind suddenly mesmerized by the thought of her amazing savior. "...incredible," She said dreamily.

"Incredible? What do you mean he's incredible?" Harry questioned. "No. Alright, wait. Stay there. I'll come over."

"No, that's okay. You don't have to. I'm just planning to go to sleep soon anyway," MJ said, just only need to call for some reassurance before needing time to rest and process what she's been going through.

Harry still insisted. "No, I'm gonna come over-"

"Harry, I'm fine, really," MJ tried to reassure him, not wanting Harry to worry too much.

Harry relented with a sigh. "Alright. Will you call me in the morning? We'll go and have breakfast, and I want to buy you something."

"Sure, I'll be sure to call you. But why do you want to buy something for me?" MJ asked, not feeling comfortable with being privileged by others.

"Because I want to. It'll make you feel better," Harry said.

MJ sighed as she reluctantly gave in into Harry's insistence. "Okay."

"Okay. And what do you mean, incredible?" Harry reiterated his previous question.

"Harry," MJ sighed in frustration, already feeling annoyed with the repeated question.

"Alright. I'm sorry," Harry apologized. "Sleep tight. Don't let the bedbugs -"

MJ quickly hanged up on him before Harry could finish his sentence. When she placed down her telephone, she walking away. But then, she felt something stuck. "What the... ?" MJ looked down to see her hand still somehow holding onto the phone. She tried shaking it off, but to no success. "Why aren't you letting go, you stupid... !"

Then, she suddenly recalled the same thing happened on the balcony when she was panicking. "Okay, Mary Jane. Just try let yourself relax a bit. Maybe that's the key."

When she finally felt herself calmed down, her hand relinquished its hold on the telephone. After carefully picking it up and placed it back on its base, MJ tried to gave herself a little thought to figure out what's going on with herself.

What's happening to me? Am I becoming like him? Mary Jane thought.

Couldn't help but be curious to learn more about her discovered powers, MJ stood up and walked towards an empty wall as she still looking over her hands. One by one, she laid her hands against the wall, slowly scaling up until she reached the ceiling.

"NO WAY!" MJ gasped. "I'm really like him. I actually have spider-powers! How did I...?" Then, a curious thought occurred to her. She smirked in anticipation of what she could do. "I wonder... "

MJ dropped from the ceiling, feeling the rush of excitement with her newfound abilities as she jumped from wall to wall around her apartment, almost acrobatically flowing like a skilled gymnast at incredible speed.

"This is spectacular!" MJ exclaimed with highest mount of excitement. "Maybe there's a reason why I have these powers," She muttered to herself. "Maybe it's to help him, to be there for him."

MJ then effortlessly flipped herself into the air and landed on her floor. Thinking she just needed to learn more about her abilities in a bigger and controlled environment, MJ walked up to her wardrobe, browsing through it to find something to change out of her dress.

Later that night, MJ made her way to an empty construction site that was just a few blocks away her apartment. She arrived in a practical tracksuit, along with her hair bandana acted as a makeshift mask, in case someone would unexpectedly stumble upon her during her private training.

After jumping high over the construction fences, MJ walked inside the building and strolled up the stairs until she found a considerably spacious empty floor with construction pillars and a vacant elevator shaft nearby, so that she could have enough room to work with, what she could guess, her gifted acrobatics. If Spider-Man could do it, chances were she could as well.

With a grin plastered on her face, MJ began climbing up the walls to a considerable height before jumping off, bouncing back and forth on the pillars and concrete floors, her movements almost resembling a well-trained ballerina, she noticed, with only differences being, she was able to make a whole leap on almost half way of a normal sized room. To her, it almost as if these moves came to her naturally, even though the last time she could recall practicing such a hobby was near the end of her elementary years.

Mary Jane leaped into the shaft, where she fired her first web-zip into the ceiling, shooting herself so high she actually defying gravity and suspended on top of the construction site for a few moments.

She then extended her hand out and shot her web towards the tall crane, though in one mistakable move caused by her overconfidence, she missed her first shot. MJ started to panic with a scream as she was falling back down to the Earth. Trying to shoot her webs one more time to save herself from her descend, she managed to connect to the crane just before she could hit the ground.

Now feeling a bit more confident in her abilities, MJ began doing laps with her own first official web-swinging around the construction site to get used to her own pacing rhythm and the feel of the webs in her hands.

Once MJ believed she managed to get herself well adapted to her new changes, she decided to let herself to be more free and moved up to the city streets.

As she was web-swinging for nearly an hour, MJ felt the graceful wind blowing around her, recreating that feeling of excitement when Spider-Man held on to her. It's not entirely the same, but to her, it's enough.

MJ smiled to herself in satisfaction when she landed herself gracefully and flawlessly on the top of a building, thinking to herself that she managed to pass her own needed training.

"Well, Spider-Man, I think it's time you're no longer alone."

One late evening, a lady, who was wearing a casual, yet shiny coat, was strolling alone in the dark Manhattan street with her expensive handbag on her shoulder.

Just as she was about to pass by an apartment building, the lady yelped when she suddenly got jumped by a thug, who was wearing a skull t-shirt and leather jacket, as well as sporting a black-and-white bandana cap over his mullet hair.

The skull thug pulled out a small revolver from his jacket pocket and aimed it inches close to the lady's face, holding her down at gunpoint. "Don't move!" He threatened the lady, who was crying for her dear life. He then snatched the handbag away from her arm.

Just as the thug was about to finish the lady off, a long strand of web suddenly appeared out of nowhere and attached to the barrel of his revolver before it snatched away from his hand.

When the thug tried to look up to see where his gun was taken, he saw what he thought at first was Spider-Man, but quickly noticed the costume was somehow distinctly different, looking more feminine matter of fact.

'Her' suit retained the same red color palettes on the front torso and boots as the original Spider-Man's, but instead of the blues, it had the whites on the underarms, back, legs and new sleeves that ran from the upper arms to the fingertips. The spider-logo on her chest also looked more different; it had a more elegant body with extended and sharper legs.

One big noticeable difference was the red hair that stood out from this new hero's head, which was braided into a bun.

Before the thug could comprehend what he just saw, he let out a hysterical scream when that new costumed figure just swung in mid-air and dragged him away from the lady.

After almost half a minute of feeling confused about what just happened, the still-frightened lady slowly stood back up. To her relief, she saw her handbag was left unattended right near her feet. When the lady picked it up from the street floor, she noticed a small note was hidden inside.

Courtesy, Your all-new Spectacular Spinneret.

Even though she had no idea who this mysterious Spinneret was or where she even came from, the lady smiled in gratitude for this new hero that just came to her rescue.
