Chapter 9

First Progress Report

meanwhile, at the loud house, around 2:30 am,

Lisa was trying to sleep, as she laid in bed. key word being "try". she couldn't fall asleep since her conversation with her mother regarding Lincoln. her mind was to figure out a way to apologize to Lincoln. so far, she hasn't been able to think of a way. she was hoping that lucy could help brainstorm an idea on the proper course of action. her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a beeping of the videophone going off, a call? at this hour? she questioned as she quickly rushed over to answer, as not to disturb lily. she picked up the receiver and pressed the answer button. as she did, professor oak appeared on the screen.

oh, sorry little one, did i disturb your sleep? Samuel asked.

uh...no. I was awake anyway. you must be professor oak, Lisa stated.

indeed I am. and you must be one of Lincoln's sisters? Samuel asked.

yes, I am his second youngest sister, Lisa loud. might I inquire as to nature of this call? Lisa asked.

of course, but are your parents around? Samuel asked.

unfortunately, they're still asleep, and won't be up for another few hours, Lisa replied.

ah, that's right! we're calling from 2 different time zones! Samuel exclaimed, smacking his forehead.

well, I can be sure to relay your message to them when they're up and around. speaking of which, Lisa commented.

ah, right! I was calling to inform your parents that I've completed the first report on Lincoln's progress, and i thought they and the rest of your family would like to hear it. that, and I wanted to give my two-bits about a certain event that Lincoln told me about, Samuel explained, his tone sounding serious at the end. Lisa felt a cold streak run down her spine.

uh...w-well, as I said, I'll inform my family about the progress report and bring them in to hear it in a few hours, Lisa stated.

good. I can tell you're a very knowledgeable young lady, Lisa and what I want to say about your family's actions will concern YOU a great deal more than the rest, Samuel replied, hanging up. Lisa felt her heart drop into her stomach.

oh boy, no doubt he's ever going to let any of us hear the end of it, Lisa groaned miserably, as she went back to bed, and tried once more to fall asleep.

in the parents' room as Rita sleeps Lynn sr. was in a dark void until he sees Lincoln. son is that you, lynn sr asked walking towards him. DON'T COME NEAR ME MY SO CALL FAMTHER, Lincoln yelled. link watch your attitude, Lynn senior yelled. why, i stopped being your son since you tossed me out, Lincoln said. wait son i didn't mean it, it's just LJ, Lynn senior tried to explain until a mysterious dog like Pokémon that resembles a ghost appeared in front of him. you say you love your children but are only talking about your daughters, asked the Pokémon.

NO, I love all my kids, yelled Lynn senior as objects from his daughters' activities gathers around him. don't go dad, who cares about that talentless loser he means nothing, said the objects pulling Lynn sr. down an abyss.

no, you're wrong he's important too Lincoln help please I'm sorry, yelled Lynn sr. as he gets pulled lower in the abyss only for Lincoln to look at him with cold eyes.

Lynn sr. wakes up from the nightmare gasping, what a nightmare, Lynn sr. said until he looked at Lincoln's schedule with the sisters' activities then a picture frame of him and Lincoln fishing when he was six which made him tear up, what kind of father/husband am I, Lynn sr. question as a tear fell on the picture of Lincoln looking like he was crying.

a few hours later (7:00 am).

Lisa was able to get to sleep, if anything a little while, when the smell of bacon being cooked roused her from sleep, Mmm, breakfast must be ready, she commented, as she got out of bed, excited her room, and made her way downstairs, where the rest of the family was seated at the table, enjoying their breakfast. well, almost all of them were. lucy had her head propped up with her arm ignoring her food while looking at Lincoln's drawings of Pokémon one looked like a dark creature that can give nightmares just by looking at it, the other one looked like it came from the moon with its moon like head, the next one looked a blue creature with a diamond in the center and the other one was standing up with a pearl on its shoulder, the last one showed a dark creature with six legs and having black wings, she looked at them with a glum look on her face, to glum even for lucy. Lisa also sees her mother and father were the same way, but Rita still a piece of her eggs.

morning, Lisa. I have breakfast ready now, Lynn Sr. said, coming out of the kitchen with red eyes like he was crying with a plate of bacon and eggs for the young genius.

thank you, father unit, Lisa said as she sat at the table. are you ok though; your eyes are red? Lisa asked her father. no honey i had a rough night but I'll get over it, Lynn Sr. answered. it was then that she remembered, oh, right! when we're all done with breakfast, come to my room. pop-pop's professor friend called last night and said he wants to talk to us. Rita and Lynn Sr. looked up with interest and slight hope.

talk to us? about what in particular? Luna asked.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's calling to complain about that rotten, no-good jinx, Lynn stated, eating a piece of toast. Lisa ignored the comment, as she turned to Luna.

the professor wants to discuss Lincoln's first progress report with us, Lisa replied.

a progress report? why would he need to inform us about what that twerp does? Lori asked.

what even is the deal with this professor guy anyway? all we know about his is his name and general field study, Lana pointed out.

Lana has a point. why should we meet him with this guy? Lola asked.

because he's a friend of pop-pop's and MUST be shown a deal of respect, Rita declared with Lynn Sr. nodding in agreement.

well. if that's the case, then we might as well go and hear this report. besides, I'm kind of wondering how he's fairing without us, Lori commented.

knowing that jinx, he's probably crying like a wussy pansy like he is and wishing he was back here with us. not that we would take him back, or anything. you can count me out meeting the professor dude. i really don't care about stinkcoln is up to, Lynn stated, spearing a sausage on her plate.

JUNIOR, you're NOT to talk about your brother that way! Rita stated, sounding like her patience was already thin, and you'll be joining the rest of us in this meeting the professor, or you can kiss your softball game goodbye, she added, giving an ultimatum, which, based on her tone and body language, indicated that her decision was final.

ugh, fine! but only AFTER I finish breakfast, Lynn grumbled, just as Lisa finished her breakfast.

in the meantime, I'll go and get things set up, Lisa said, as she retreated back upstairs. the rest of the sisters, save for Lori and Lynn., followed after Lisa while the parents cleaned up.

why are still here? Lynn questioned.

because someone has to make sure you don't forget the meeting the professor. that, and I need to tell you something before we head upstairs, Lori replied.

and what would that be? Lynn asked.

during the meeting with the professor, you are NOT to bring up this whole 'bad luck' mess Lincoln caused us. the less people involved in our family affair, the better, so keep your mouth shut about anything related to Lincoln's bad luck, Lori ordered.

fine, let's get this over with. I've got better things to do than hear a geekwad's time in a lab, Lynn said. as she made her way upstairs, followed by Lori. meanwhile, Rita and Lynn Sr. were washing dishes. all while Lynn Sr, couldn't help but notice the forlom look on his wife's face.

Rita, is something troubling you? Lynn Sr. asked.

well, we're going to be talking with the professor, I'm worried about what Lincoln will say to us. what if he hates us all for what we did? Rita asked. Lynn Sr. felt the same way but tried to stay positive.

Rita, Lincoln doesn't hate us. he's not the type to let hatred overtake him and cloud his judgement. besides he knows we're regretting our actions and willing to give us a chance to redeem ourselves, Lynn Sr. said.

Lynn even if he really was bad luck which I'm doubting, locking him out of the house was cruel and unusual. you heard how dad was disappointed in us, Rita replied.

I know, after seeing his schedule I began to regret for what i did and that nightmare nocked sense in my head, Lynn Sr. said.

ok, we'll head upstairs and meet the professor then later on we'll talk to the girls especially Lynn, Rita stated.

in Lisa's room,

how much longer until we meet this professor guy? Lana asked, as the other loud sisters were awaiting Lisa to get thing up.

just a moment. I need to check the call log in order to call him back, Lisa said, accessing the call log, finding the professors number, ok here we go. just as soon as the others are in, I'll make the call, no soon than she said that, Lori and Lynn entered the room, you two are just in time, she said.

yeah, yeah, let's just hurry this up. I've got more important things to do, like getting psyched up for my upcoming game, lynn stated. lisa rolled her eyes at her sister's behavior, so how are we going to talk to this professor guy anyhow?

we're using this videophone, Lisa replied, monitoring towards the aforementioned device, and before you ask, no, i didn't build this, nor do i have any invention of building another one. this is a gift from pop-pop on behalf of professor oak.

like anyone would want something clunky in our rooms, Lori grumbled because she was going to ask lisa to make her one, just as the parents arrived.

alright, we're here, Lynn Sr. said.

have you managed to contact professor oak yet, Lisa? Rita asked.

not yet. I was waiting for you both to come in before i made the call, Lisa replied, as she went ahead and made the call. it took a few minutes before the other end picked up, and the image of professor oak appeared on screen, hello professor. I've brought my family, just as i said i would earlier, she said, greeting the professor.

hello again, Ms. loud and it's nice to see you both again, Mr. and Mrs. loud, Samuel said, returning the greeting. he then noticed the large number of other girls among them, my word, Lincoln certainly wasn't joking when he said his family was a large one.

yeah, we get that a lot. so anyhow, how's my son doing out there? Lynn Sr. asked.

well, I got a call from last night, and so far, even the night before he became a Pokémon trainer went much more smoothly for any other beginning trainer, Samuel replied. a look of confusion worked its way onto the loud sister's faces.

Pokémon trainer? they all thought.

I have a hard time believing that jinx is having any sort of a time, Lynn muttered, only to get elbowed by Lori.

quiet, Lori ordered.

well, before we begin, shall we introduce our daughters to you, Lynn Sr. suggested.

hmm, that would make conversing much easier, Samuel replied.

I'll go first. my name is Lori. I'm the oldest sister of the family, Lori said, introducing herself.

my name is Leni. nice to meet you, professor, Leni said.

name's Luna loud, Luna said.

I'm Luan, Luan said.

Lynn loud jr. call me Lynn or junior would be easier, Lynn said.

lucy, lucy said.

my name's... Lana was cut off when Lola pulled her back by overalls.

nuh-uh! I'm going first since I'm the prettiest! Lola declared.

hey, I'm older of the two of us! Lana argued, as the two of them started bickering.

I'm guessing they're always like that? Samuel asked.

yeah. comes with the territory of being twins and polar opposites. the one in the red cap is Lana and the one in pink is Lola, Luan quickly said, holding lily in her arms.

eh oh! lily said, trying to say hello.

so, about this progress report, what does that have to do with this Pokémon thing? Lori asked. the other sisters were also curious. Lana and Lola even stopped fighting in anticipation for an answer.

ah yes. I'll give a brief explanation. Pokémon are mysterious creatures that inhabit various parts of our world. they can be found just about anywhere within any of the known regions, be it the forest, plains, rivers, lakes, mountains, caves, the sky, even the vast ocean. positively fascinating creatures, Samuel briefly explained, as he tossed a pokeball, releasing a dragonite.

whoa, is that an actual?! Lana exclaimed.

in a way yes. this dragonite is one of the many Pokémon that Lincoln will encounter on his journey, Samuel replied.

wait journey? Luan asked.

yes. you see, while most people catch and befriend Pokémon to be pets, trainers compete against other trainers in battle to help them get stronger. you brother, as of the other day, is one such trainer. as for me, I'm one of many researchers in the world who study Pokémon and their behavioral patterns, Samuel replied.

and when you mentioned a journey, I'm guessing our bro's not at your lab right now? Luna asked, looking a little disappointed.

I'm afraid not, he left this morning, Samuel replied.

aww, i was hoping to talk to him, Leni commented.

Leni, we're supposed to be mad at him for all the trouble he's caused us, remember? Lynn question harshly. however, Lana didn't hear her.

so, has Lincoln caught any Pokémon while there? Lana asked.

yes, as a matter fact, he has, Samuel said, looking somewhere off screen, according to the signal his pokedex has been sending, he's managed to catch 3 different Pokémon, which i suppose is a good a time as any to begin the report.

ok, then please, report away, Rita urged.

will do. ok, first Pokémon Lincoln caught was his starter Pokémon, a from my lab Pikachu because Lincoln overslept will excitement, Samuel began, as he displays a picture of Pikachu.

a mouse? lucy questioned.

yes. to be more precise, Pikachu is a mouse Pokémon, it's an electric type, capable of firing of bolts of electricity from the red pouches on its cheeks, Samuel explained.

really? so, did it zap Lincoln yet? Lola asked hopefully. Samuel looked a little unnerved by Lola's question. thankfully Rita spoke up.

now Lola, that's not a nice thing to wish on your brother. you wouldn't want him to use that little mouse to zap you, or by anything yourself, would you? she asked sternly. Lola merely scoffed while feeling a little nervous on Rita's question.

as if I would let that mouse get a chance to do that to me, she retorted while a little unsure it would really happen.

you never know. your words could come back to haunt you, Luna warned.

she's right, you know. karma works mysterious ways, lucy added.

we would have done something actually bad to warrant karma, Lynn bluntly stated.

ahem, we're getting off topic here. anyhow, moving one, Samuel said, getting the conversation back on track, the morning after he got his Pikachu, he, along with three other trainers, including my grandson, Gary, set out on their journey. Lincoln chose to enter the Pokémon league competition, based on how our last conversation went.

Pokémon league? what's that, Leni asked.

well, you see, Leni, is it? Samuel asked, getting a nod in response, trainers from around the regions travel around, challenging the various gyms scattered throughout the land. those trainers who manage to earn all 8 badges from the gym leaders will qualify to enter the Pokémon league, held every year, he explained

I think I get it. so, where would Lincoln go for his first gym battle? Leni asked.

from where he called last night, most likely he's going to pewter city, but we'll talk about that another time. for now, I'd like to deliver this report, if you all will listen, Samuel requested.

ah yes, please continue, Lynn Sr. requested.

gladly. while on route 1, he managed to capture a Pokémon beginner trainers wouldn't normally catch on their first day out, Samuel said, displaying a picture of fearow.

what's that Pokémon? Lana asked excitedly.

this Pokémon's name is fearow. they tend to rather vicious species of flying type Pokémon, but Lincoln was able to catch the one he encountered, Samuel explained.

its beak looks like a spear, and those wings look rather large, Lisa commented.

that's one way of putting it. anyhow, after catching fearow, Lincoln made it to viridian city, where he received help from officer jenny in reaching the Pokémon center, which is where he called last night, Samuel continued.

I'm assuming this Pokémon center is a necessity for trainers? Lisa asked.

indeed. the Pokémon center has many functions, such being a place where trainers can heal and rest their tired Pokémon, as well as a pokemart for shopping for the road ahead, as well as lodging, Samuel explained.

sounds like being a trainer has all kinds of perks, Luan commented.

indeed. but some trouble arose when due from tea rocket, an organization that you would classify as the mafia, attacked the center with the hopes of stealing the Pokémon from the storage facility, Samuel continued.

sounds like this gang is really bad news, Lynn Sr. commented.

that's putting it mildly. there's no crime too heinous, no deed too cruel that they would do to accomplish their goals. Lincoln, along with the cerulean city gym leader and a trainer from the sinnoh region, managed to chase the rocket members before they could raid the Pokémon center, Samuel explained.

if that's the case, even with help from the other trainers, I don't feel safe with him exploring kanto with a criminal organization running amuck. maybe its best that we have him come back home. we can put everything back as it was before our big mistake, Lynn Sr. voiced his opinion, only for Rita to smile on her husband's choice, while Lynn looked annoyed.

NO WAY, if stinkoln is coming back then he's staying at aunt ruth's, Lynn stated.

yeah, I don't want his bad luck to ruing our lives, Lori nodded while Rita was getting mad.

GIRLS, WE'RE NOT SENDING HIM TO RUTH'S OR ANYWHERE ELSE AND THAT'S FINAL! Rita snapped, causing the family to reed back in shock. it was rare for the mother to lose her temper severely that quickly, but the family knew that when it does happen, there's no convincing her otherwise.

I'm sorry Mr. and Mrs. loud, but sending Lincoln back isn't up to me. it's up to him, and him only, Samuel replied.

w-what do you mean? Rita asked, calming down.

you see, before one can be licensed trainer, they must first pass a qualification test which your son did years ago. which as a result, makes him an emancipated minor, meaning he can make big decisions, such as moving to kanto, getting married, or getting a driver's license, Samuel explained. the louds family 's jaw all dropped, oh dear, looks I broke them.

WHAT?! the louds all yelled.

my baby is emancipated?! how could you do something like that?! Rita exclaimed.

what does that word mean, Leni asked.

it means Lincoln is legally viewed as an adult in the eyes of the Pokémon government, Lisa replied.

you said Lincoln can learn to drive a car? Lori was read to revoke her blessings to sending Lincoln to kanto, on account of feeling her vanzilla monopoly was in jeopardy.

technically, he can, but once he finds the hidden move fly, he would have no need for such a thing. of course, his him being seen as an adult in only limited to the Pokémon regions where Pokémon exist, Samuel explained. Lori breathed a sigh of relief.

aww man, he gets to ride on that big bird? Lana whined, sounding jealous.

of course, being legally viewed as an adult means he's also able to be punished as an adult should he break any laws. if that were to ever happen, then I would be forced to revoke his license and send him back to America, Samuel explained.

wait so he can...score with girls too? Luna asked.

although crudely stated, he can, if he chooses. this includes getting married, Samuel replied.

and he can choose to stay in kanto if he wants? Lynn asked.

yes, Samuel replied. a feeling of dread washed over the louds except for Lynn who was feel ecstatic with the news.

well, if that's the case he can stay there forever! the less his bad luck ruins our lives the better, Lynn declared.

you idiot, i told you not to bring that up! Lori yelled.

she's got a point, dude. there's a time and place for that sort of thing, Luna commented.

and by that, I assume you mean the fact that you all see him as bad luck? Samuel asked. the louds looked surprised, i admit this is another reason I wanted to talk to you all. he and I had a most interesting conversation his first night here. Lynn rolled her eyes in annoyance.

oh, here we go! let me guess - stinkoln went to you because he can't man up and accept reality? Lynn rudely questioned.

that's strike one! two more, and you kiss your softball goodbye. so, I suggest you NEVER insult your brother again, Rita scolded.

judging by your words you're aware of your actions, but I assume you feel no remorse on your actions? Samuel asked.

nope! why should I feel guilty about anything when Lincoln is in the wrong for ruining my game? Lynn questioned.

yeah, this is a family matter! that old man is NOT part of the family! Lori stated.

yeah! they both should just butt out of our affairs! Lola proclaimed.

THAT'S ENOUGE, you three are going to sit here and listen to this whole report or so help me I'll have all of your events cancelled! Lynn Sr. warned.

ugh, fine! Lori groaned as she Lynn and Lola sat down upset.

sorry about that professor, Lynn Sr. apologized.

its ok, I've seen trainers like her, Samuel said.

what's that supposed to mean? Lynn questioned looking insulted.

simple, there are trainers who are so obsessed with winning, they can never handle their first lost and blame their Pokémon instead of themselves for underestimating their opponents or keep using the same strategy, Samuel explained.

HEY, that's stupid, I've used my same gameplan and won my games if Lincoln's messed it up.

JUNIOR, that's strike two! young lady, Lynn Sr. scolded.

fine whatever, Lynn groaned.

alright, continuing off from where i was, after spending a night at the viridian Pokémon center, Lincoln ventured northward to pewter city, where he caught a poliwag on route 2, Samuel said, displaying a picture of the poliwag Pokémon.

whoa, that looks like a tadpole, Lana commented, receiving an elbow to the side by Lola.

don't start buying this quack! Lola chastised.

YOU might not believe him, but leave me out of it, Lana retorted.

well, to answer your comment, Lana was it? Samuel asked, getting a nod in response, poliwag is a tadpole Pokémon. and with that, the report is complete. now, onto the matter of this bad luck nonsense, Samuel said, only to be stopped by Lori.

hold it right there, 'professor'. as we just said, this is a family matter, and has nothing to do with you or Lincoln for that matter, Lori stated.

even though he's the center of it all? Rita questioned, giving her eldest daughter with a disapproving look.

that has nothing to do with it, Lori replied.

when we're done here, I expect an explanation to that logic, and it better be a good one, Rita declared.

ahem, if you're all done, I would like to ask how this all started from your prospective, Samuel requested.

gladly, professor, for i have video evidence to exactly how it all started, Lisa said, typing some keys on her computer, feeding a security camera feed into the videophone. it was at the exact moment when Lynn threatened Lincoln with her bat.

JUNIOR, you threatened your brother with your bat?! Rita demanded. Lynn's negative attitude almost completely faded under her mother's angry glare.

w-well, maybe i did, but i only wanted him to come to my game and he shouldn't have said no. but that had nothing to do with my loss that day! he jinxed my game out of spite for not letting him read his stupid comics! he even admitted he was bad luck! Lynn replied, trying to make Lincoln the bad guy.

so, you're saying yourself he's bad luck? Samuel asked.

that's right. he proved it by smashing my golf clubs, which he's literally going to get buy me a new set, Lori commented.

Lori it's just your 9 iron that was destroyed, Luna bluntly stated.

it's not what club he ruined that's ruined. it's the principle of the matter. he ruined some else's property, so he has to buy a new set to be taught a lesson in respect, Lori stated.

I see. so, what happened after that? Samuel asked.

well, we stopped inviting him to our events afraid his bad luck would cause us trouble for us. then we went further by boarding up his room, and making him sleep outside, Luna replied.

didn't we also sell his furniture? Leni asked innocently. the family, save for Lynn looked at her in horror, what! did you say?

Leni, why did you say that?! that was something the professor didn't need to know about! are you dense?! Lori chewed out Leni.

oh, I wasn't supposed to say that, Leni replied in realization.

you...sold his furniture? Samuel asked sound like his temper is going to explode.

well, yes, we did, Lynn Sr. replied looking down in shame.

it's bad enough that you locked him out of your house, but selling his furniture? where's the money now? did you waste it already? Samuel asked looking disappointed.

well urging of my father, albert, we gave Lincoln the money, Rita replied, nervous at the sound of the professor's tone.

and we were planning to use that money for something we wanted, like going to the beach, Lola pointed out.

Lola! shut up, Lori said.

so, what happened then? did you let him back in the house? Samuel asked.

no, he did try to convince us he was pretending to be bad luck to get out of our activities. of course, we didn't believe him, so we ignore him, Luan explained.

then, a few days later, Lynn lost another softball game, and blamed Lincoln for it, even though he wasn't even there, Luna pointed out.

he had to be there cursing my team! how could I've lost! Lynn snapped.

your pathetic excuse is really annoying because the truth is that you're a sore loser! Lisa declared. Lynn was really losing her temper.

call me that one more time i dare you! Lynn snarled, cracking her knuckles.

girls knock it off, Rita pleaded, getting in between them.

fine, but I'm not letting Lisa's insult slide! Lynn warned.

as we were saying after her second game things got out of hand between Lincoln and Lynn. she tried to smash him with her bat. and almost did if pop-pop hadn't stepped in. after he gave us an earful about how we treated Lincoln. which eventually led to us sending him to kanto, Lana explained.

well. after hearing the story all i can say is...WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?! Samuel shouted making the louds flinch.

w-well, we couldn't risk his luck making trouble for us, Lynn Sr. replied.

and locking him out was supposed to help him out?! he's your sun! are aware of the Trama, you caused him?!

w-well bad things seem to happen around him, Rita replied.

not good enough, you realize what you did if a punishable offence?! Samuel questioned.

come again? Rita asked, horrified of her family being broken apart.

it's true, mother unit. child abandonment, such as locking a minor, like Lincoln, outside a home is a heinous crime, punishable by jail time, Lisa explained.

you're not off the hook ether, Lisa. you seem like an intelligent young lady. so why help go along with this mess knowing it was illegal? Samuel questioned.

I was doing research at the time. plus, I figured he would be able to get out of this mess. stupidest decision of my life, Lisa replied.

well, count yourselves lucky that Lincoln or I called the cops on you! Samuel proclaimed.

wait, you're saying that you...Lynn Sr. was worried now.

no, I haven't called the royal woods cops yet, unless, Samuel began.

unless...? Rita asked.

unless you all try to earn his forgiveness, stop acting like self-entitled fools! Samuel stated.

why should we apologize to him he should apologize to us! Lori countered.

not that we would forgive him! Lynn said, turning their mother, we stuck around to the end of the report. we're leaving now! she said, as she, Luan, Leni, Lola, and Lori left Lisa's room.

I'm sorry about my daughter's rudeness, professor. but if I may ask a favor regarding Lincoln? Rita asked. Samuel looked intrigued.

and what might that be? Samuel asked calming down.

next time he calls, could you ask him to call us so at least some of us can try asking for his forgiveness? Rita asked.

I want to apologize too, lucy added.

I acted like a fool for going along with this thing, and i want to make things right, Lisa added.

me too, he's my only son and I haven't been a good father, and I want to change that, Lynn Sr added.

same here but I need time, Lana added.

same here, said Luna.

sure thing. I'll see what I can do to convince him to call you. and I must say I'm impressed how you're willing to talk things out with him, Samuel replied.

thank you, professor. we have no intention of letting you or Lincoln down, Lisa said.

you're welcome. now then is there anything else you wish to discuss? Samuel asked.

actually yes, just three more things. first is there a way for Lincoln to transfer data on the Pokémon he sees and catches over to our end? Lisa asked.

as a matter of fact, there is he just needs to insert his pokedex into one of the slots at the Pokémon center videophone to transfer them all to you. though i recommend you have your computer hooked up to the house data, Samuel explained.

sounds reasonable. and as for my second question can Lincoln send his Pokémon over here so we can view them in person? Lisa asked. Samuel, along with Rita, Lynn Sr., Lana, Luan, Luna, and lucy were surprised by this question.

well, you'll need a Pokémon transporter machine. though they're very expensive, Samuel replied.

dang it. i was hoping to meet them, Lana said looking disappointed.

well i do have a schematic somewhere in my lab that shows how to build one. once i find it, i'll send it to you over via email, Samuel offered.

really that'll be great! Lisa exclaimed.

the third question is these drawings, lucy said showing Lincoln's drawings to the professor.

ah, these are drawings of legendary Pokémon, Samuel relied.

legendary? Leni questioned.

yes, they're legends because they've been around for years not much is known about them.

wow, I want to see them so much, Lana said excitedly.

thanks for keeping us updated on Lincoln's progress, for taking care of him, and for delivering our message to him, professor, Rita said.

you're most welcome, Mr. and Mrs. loud. but keep what I said about the police in mind. one wrong misstep, and I'll get them involved, Samuel warned.

duly noted, Rita and Lynn Sr gulped.

good. now then I would bid you a good night, but our time zones are different, so i bid you a good day, said Samuel, hanging up. the six remaining louds all slumped down.

well, apart from Lynn's outburst, not to mention the professor chewing us out, i would say it went smoothly, Lisa commented.

yeah, but remember what he said, we need to think on our actions and how to make it up to Lincoln, lucy reminded.

true. while he has his selfish moments, he learns from them while we don't learn from ours, but he's and understanding visual. I'm sure if we deliver our apologies in a most sincere way, he may be willing to forgive us. we gain back his trust and respect later in time. right now, his forgiveness is our top priority, Lisa replied.

we need to go and think things over. your mother and i want to be part of your brother's life every bit as you 4 wants to, Lynn Sr. said, as he and Rita took there leave.

so, now what? lucy asked.

hmm, for now we should try to go over what we should say, and figure out a proper way to deliver our message, Lisa suggested.

good plan. I'll see if i can contact great grandma Harriet and ask for her advice, taking leave as well with the others thinking of ideas, leaving Lisa to begin mulling things over.

That's chapter 9 next comes a bug swarm will Lincoln and misty get out of it we'll soon fine out. also, can you guess the drawings too good luck.

oh, and I decided to add Lynn Sr. and Lanaearly, but I got plans for Lori,Lynn, and Lola so don't worry.
