Ch 31 An Elite Meeting
Hogsmeade, Three Broomsticks
The Three Broomsticks was filled with Wizards and Witches speaking about the recent news. The disappearance of the Girl-Who-Lived, Helena Potter.
The entire Wizarding World is in a state of panic if a certain Dark Lord was well enough then he would've taken advantage of the chaos.
Hermione, Ginny, and Cedric entered the tavern, having a meeting with a certain convict.
"(You're sure that he's trustworthy you two? I know that he's Helena's Godfather but…)" Cedric was having second thoughts about meeting with Sirius Black.
Ginny looks at Cedric, ensuring that there's nothing to be worried about. "(Cedric, the rumors about Sirius Black is just the Ministry's scapegoat.)" The red-haired girl explains the truth to the Hufflepuff.
Cedric sighs, seeing the ways how the Ministry handles things. His Father was like that when it comes to his job, "(I get what you mean,)" He sighs, seeing that Hermione was heading to the table near the window.
The two followed her, sitting at the table and ordering some Butterbeer. Once the waiter left, Cedric turns to Hermione curious how a wanted man by the Ministry would meet them here.
"Hermione, do you have any idea on where we're going to meet your friend?" Cedric asked the bushy-haired girl,
Hermione looks at the popular boy in Hogwarts, answering his question. "(I'm pretty sure that Sirius will send word here that he arrived.)" She explains to their friend. "(He knows the risk of showing himself in public,)"
Cedric nodded, hoping that she was right. Suddenly, a familiar face appeared after catching a glimpse of them. "So you're hanging out with Diggory you two? What a way to show your Loyalties."
They all looked up at Ron, crossing his arms at them. "Why do you care whom we hang out with Ron? It's not a crime to hang out with other people." Hermione stated, knowing what he was going to say next.
"W-Well, it is! Cedric is a ladies' man!" Ron points at the bronze-haired boy, stating his reason why the girls shouldn't hang out with Cedric. "A-A lot of girls are hanging around him in the halls!"
Ginny held her forehead, shaking her head at her brother's embarrassment. "Ron, that's just baseless evidence you've given." She looks at Cedric, feeling bad that a member of her own Family could say something like that, "Cedric, is a good person,"
Ron scoffs, rolling his eyes at how his Sister and so-called friend would fall for Cedric. "So you two have fallen for the pretty boy. How bloody, great." He growls. "To think that after Helena disappeared you reveal your true colors-"
"That's enough Weasley," Cedric stood up from his seat, standing up for Hermione and Ginny. "You have no right to speak to both Hermione and Ginny, (your own Sister), like that!" The bronze-haired boy defended the Gryffindor girls.
"Mind your own business, Puff!" Ron growls at Cedric,
Everyone was now staring at the group of students, hearing the commotion from there. Many whispers arose from Ron's arrogant yelling at them.
"(Isn't that Ron Weasley?)"
"(Yeah, what is he doing annoying Cedric Diggory?)"
"(Aren't those Helena's friends? Ginny and Hermione?)"
"(Yeah, but why are they hanging out with Cedric?)"
"(Well, Cedric does have a crush on Helena. It's understandable that he came to them to talk.)"
Cedric looks around the tavern, hearing the whispers among the Wizards and Witches. He frowns at how much attention they are now receiving from a simple encounter with the most arrogant student in Hogwarts.
"There's too much attention on us now," Hermione sighs, looking at Ginny who nodded at what she was thinking.
"Cedric," The boys turn to Ginny, calling for the Hufflepuff's name. "I think we should go somewhere less…crowded." The red-haired girl urges Cedric to leave the Three Broomsticks.
Cedric nodded agreeing with the Gryffindor girl. "Right, let's go. We don't need to waste our time with Weasley." The Hufflepuff stated.
Both Hermione and Ginny got up from their seats and followed Cedric out of the tavern.
Ron clenched his fist and gritted his teeth; he turned around and glared at them. "You'll regret what you've done! You two are traitors to your own House! Especially you, Ginny; you Blood traitor!" He shouted at both Hermione and Ginny,
Outside of the Three Broomsticks, the New Trio made their way out of the tavern after that debacle with Ron.
"I-I'm sorry everyone for my Brother," Ginny apologizes to both Hermione and Cedric.
"You got nothing to be sorry for Ginny, Ron is just being arrogant as usual," Hermione stated, assuring her friend that she got nothing to apologize for.
Cedric looks back at Ginny, still ashamed of how her Brother was acting back there. "Hermione's right, you got nothing to do with Ron's behavior. Now, what are we going to do?" He asked the girls, "The meeting spot was interrupted, where are we going to meet-"
A loud bark interrupts the bronze-haired boy's sentence. They looked to the side where a black dog was barking at them.
Cedric tilts his head, seeing the dog wagging his tail at them. "Is that dog calling us?" He asked.
Hermione smiles, recognizing the dog. "It's him, let's follow him." She stated, following the dog into the alley.
"Hold up, Hermione." Ginny and Cedric followed the bushy-haired girl into the alleyway. The two watched as the dog made a right turn that led into the forest.
The shadow on the wall morphs into a humanoid form, they quickly rush to the corner where Hermione was standing in front of Sirius Black.
"S-Sirius Black," Cedric gasps, seeing the wanted Wizard standing before them.
Sirius heard his name being called by an unfamiliar voice. "Hermione, who is this young man?" The shaggy-haired man asked the brightest Witch of her generation.
Hermione turns around, introducing Cedric to Helena's Godfather. "Sirius, this is Cedric Diggory. A Fifth year in Hufflepuff, he wants to help us find Helena." She introduces the new member of the group.
"Cedric helped us find some clues on Helena's whereabouts," Ginny supported Cedric's trustworthiness. "He can be trusted to keep you a secret from the Ministry."
Sirius looks over at Cedric, marching up to him. The bronze-haired boy flinched, seeing the convict approach him. "U-Um, it's nice to meet you s-"
"What do you think of Helena?" Sirius asked bluntly, testing the young man on his own terms if he can be trusted.
"W-Wha-"
"I'll be blunt, many boys around Helena's age would ask her out. Mainly because of her being the Girl-Who-Lived and holding the Potter name," The shaggy-haired man stated, wanting to protect his best friend's Daughter from those types of boys. "As her Godfather, it's my job to protect her from boys such as that, now answer the question, Diggory." He remains steadfast in his integration,
Both Hermione and Ginny knew that this was Sirius's way of making sure that Helena was in good hands. But it still felt like he was going overboard with his protectiveness.
Cedric gulps looking at the convict before him. "I-Helena is a person who others before herself. She cares for and defends the younger Years from Malfoy's antics. She has been experiencing a lot for someone of her age and…" He stated what he admire about the black-haired Witch to her 'Father figure'. "A-And I-I…I want to help you lift those burdens…"
"So in short, you love her." Sirius upright says what Cedric was leading to.
"L-L-LOVER HER!?" Cedric was blushing, completely caught off guard by the Animagus's blunt answer. "N-No, it's not like that! I-I just admire her and-"
Sirius chuckled, patting the bronze-haired boy's shoulder. The way he tries to deny the fact is all he needs. "If find Helena, then I trust you'll look after her more than the Weasley boy," The shaggy-haired Wizard stated, knowing now he can trust this boy.
Even more, Cedric was still stunned after what Sirius said; when he said that he trusted him to look after his Goddaughter. "I promise." He answered.
"Alright," Sirius looks at the girls beside them, "Now, Hermione you said that wanted to see me get some information from the Black's private library?" He asked, wanting to confirm if what he read was correct.
"Yes, we found a letter and a book about a ruin in the Forbidden Forest. Other than that nothing," Hermione explains to the shaggy-haired Wizard.
Ginny nodded, supporting her friend. "Is it possible to see your Family's collection? It might lead us to Helena." She asked,
Sirius nodded, agreeing with their request. "Of course, anything that could lead us to Helena."
The group followed Sirius back to Twelve Grimmauld Place in secret, finding any reference to their research.
Evergrande City, Evergrande Conference
(Insert Pokemon 2019 OST(Vol.2):Pokemon world championships)
Rotom drones flew through the air, leading a trail in the colors of Hoenn. Red for the Continental Pokemon, Blue for the Sea Basin Pokemon, and Green for the Sky High Pokemon.
Many people and their Pokemon were gathered for the Festival, some trainers traveled far and wide and others originated from Hoenn to claim the title of Hoenn League Champion.
A giant screen turned on, revealing a dark brown-haired woman in a green blouse and white pants with heels. She smiles at the camera and greets everyone who's watching.
"It's that time of year again, the time where Pokemon trainers come together and compete for the title of Hoenn League Champion." The Reporter greeted the audience. "That's right, everyone. It's the Evergrande Conference, I'm your host, Gabby."
Gabby placed her hand on her chest, "I'll be your guide to this annual event. So viewers at home will not be missing out," She turns her body around, ready to venture into the streets. "Will our reigning Champion keep his title or will someone else claim it? Let's see who's who, stay tuned for interviews with the strongest Pokemon trainers here! "
Helena held onto Kirlia, amazed by the Capital of the Hoenn Region. Evergrande City was a City nothing she'd ever seen before, a Modern City built on a large island. There overseeing the City was a large eastern building with the Pokemon League symbol in front of it, as it sat at the top of a plateau. Behind the League Building was a large lake with many buildings.
On each side of the lake were four roads leading to a building with Pokemon Type Symbols. They all met up in the center of the Lake where a large Arena with five towers oversaw the Battlefield.
The Center Tower was a bit farther than the other four. It has a silver crown with wings on each end and a star in the middle.
The Towers around the stadium were built to rotate were at the back side of the stadium was a stairwell that leads to Battlefield.
"They really went all out for the Conference, right Kirlia?" Helena looks at her Partner in her hands.
"Kirlia," The Duel-type nodded, agreeing with her trainer.
They looked at the League Building above them, shining in the sunlight. "So that's the Pokemon League," Helena commented on the largest building in the City.
"Yep, never is a tiring sight every time I visit…" Steven smiles, being in Evergrande City before when he was with his Family.
Roxanne steps forward, crossing her arms at the missing person in their group. She sighs, wishing he was here with them. "Only if Wallace was here, he would make some comment about Evergrande City and the two of you making it this far."
"True," Flannery sighs, never getting the Final Gym Badge after all that training.
"I'm sorry that you didn't make it into the Pokemon League, Flannery." Roxanne felt sorry for the red-haired girl, knowing that was her dream.
Flannery shrugs, knowing how life can be. "Well, at least I tried my hardest." She looks at the two trainers who'll be competing in the competition. "At least I can still cheer for you all in your Battles,"
Brawly grins at Flannery, appreciating her support for both him and Steven. "Thanks, Flans! We can always trust you to cheer us on during our Preliminary Rounds," The sky-blue haired boy said,
"Speaking about Preliminary Rounds, we should get ourselves registered for it," Steven commented, reminding his friend of what they needed to do.
The Fighting-type trainer smacked his head, "Of course, how can I forget!" He added.
Helena smiles, looking at the two boys. "You two go to the register while we girls head to the Hotel to check ourselves in." She informed the two,
"A lot of people check in during this time too. Trainers' Families and friends will be taking residency so if we want rooms we better go there early." Roxanne commented, agreeing with her black-haired girl's plan.
"Right, we'll meet at the Hotel later everyone." Steven and Brawly went up the grand stairwell leading to the Pokemon League Building to register.
"Kirlia!" Kirlia waves the two off as they leave.
Roxanne turns to her two friends and smiles. "Shall we go then?" She asked.
Flannery adjusted her bag on her shoulder and pointed to the building in the distance. "There's the Hotel, let's get-"
"Excuse me, but are you, Helena Potter?" The girls looked to the side where a man wearing a suit and sunglasses stood. (End Song)
"Um, yes," Helena responded, unsure of what this man wanted.
"Kirlia?" The Emotion Pokemon was wary of the stranger who approached them.
Helena smiles, petting her Partner on the head. "Is there something you need, Sir?" She asked the strange man.
"One of my Bosses has asked for you to meet them. Please follow me, I'll guide you to their office." The man motions his arms to the Pokemon League,
Helena turns to her friends, unsure how to respond. "Can you two go ahead of me? This might be something important." She asked her friends.
Flannery and Roxanne looked at each other before answering the former Witch. "Alright, we'll be waiting at the Hotel," The red-haired trainer informed her.
"Be careful, but I'm sure your Pokemon has your back, Ellie," Roxanne stated, trusting Helena and her Pokemon to watch each other's back.
Helena and Kirlia nodded, "We'll be back as soon as possible, girls." The black-haired trainer stated.
"Kirlia," Kirlia waves the two off as she and Helena followed the man to the Pokemon League building.
After traversing the grand stairwell, Helena and Kirlia looked at the Eastern Building. Standing before the Pokemon League was intimidating, to say the least.
Helena and Kirlia could feel the honor and esteem of the League. "I-Impressive," She commented.
"Kirlia," Kirlia agreed before noticing the man moving forward to the doors.
The man turns to Helena, showing the young Pokemon trainer inside the Pokemon League. "This way please," He calls for her.
Helena followed the man into the League Building where many trainers were gathered. She looks around, seeing Steven and Brawly speaking with Nurse Joy at the Register.
"Seems like those two are still registering for the Evergrande Conference," Helena commented before hearing the man calling her over.
"Ms. Potter, this way."
The two walked down what the trainers call Victory Road. Helena felt like she was a speck when walking down the Road. They walked around the Stadium, passing a dark red tower and a navy blue tower attached to the Stadium.
Eventually, they arrived at the tower that was behind the stadium. Helena noticed the silver crown with wings symbol, indicating that this was the Pokemon League HQ and also…the Champion's tower.
"W-Wait, we're going to the Champion's tower?" Helena was shocked that they were going to an esteemed place.
"Yes, I was asked by the Champion to bring you to his office." The man explains to the young trainer holding her Kirlia. He heads over to the elevator leading to the top office.
'The Champion, that means…' Helena follows the man to the elevator and enters,
The elevator went up the Champion's tower, Helena was amazed by the view outside the glass window. Looking at the forest area of the Island was a magnificent sight to witness. "What do you think Kirlia? A beautiful sight, right?" She asked her Partner.
Kirlia nodded, agreeing with her Partner. In the many months together, she was always seeing beautiful places. She's glad she was able to meet Helena. "Kirlia,"
Soon the elevator reached the top floor; both Helena and Kirlia looks at the door as it opens slowly. The man walks forward, "This way to the Champion's Throne room." He said to the young trainer.
'Throne room? There's a Throne room?' Helena followed the man into the chamber, seeing its regal atmosphere of it. The lobby was dawned with pictures of Champions of the past, lights were shining underneath pillars in the colors of the eighteen Pokemon types.
At the end was a large door leading to the Throne room,
The man turns around to face Helena, "The Champion is inside waiting for you, Ms. Potter." He stated, standing next to the doors.
Helena nodded, standing before the doors leading to the Throne room. She entered the room where it was more regal even if the décor was simple.
There were two red couches at the center facing the middle, and a desk where a Throne was there. On the throne was a familiar teal-haired face, smirking at him.
"Wallace!"
"Kirlia!" Both Helena and Kirlia exclaim, seeing their teal-haired friend after a few months since they depart Sootoplis City.
"Well, it's been a while, Ellie. How are you?" Wallace greeted the black-haired girl.
Helena smiles, noticing that he has a different style of clothing instead of the one he usually wears. He wore a teal collared shirt with white edges from the abdomen to the hem, his sleeves share the same pattern. White to elbow down to the end, he has violet dress pants and white-heeled shoes. He still wore the white beret he always wore when traveling with him.
"It's been a few months Wallace, I'm doing good," Helena stated, she now noticed that there were people in the room other than her and Wallace. They were sitting on the couches, and one stood next to the Champion.
There was a man in his late forties with hair going grey wearing a Captain's outfit. He left his coat open, revealing his chest and abdomen,
Across from him was two a woman in her early thirties. She has pale blonde hair with four tied-in pigtails. She wore a simple purple dress with a collar having an icicle pattern. and crystal white heels. Her blue eyes were cold and piercing to look at.
The one standing next to Wallace was a tan woman with white hair. She wore a light-blue trench coat, a white vest, and a dark blue turtleneck sweater.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that there are other people here." Helena flinched, apologizing for her rudeness.
"My," Helena turns to the pale blonde woman, covering her mouth with her fingertips. "You're a polite one, aren't you?" She smiles before placing her hand down on her lap.
"Forgive me, I was being rude for not introducing myself." The woman smiles politely at the young trainer. "My name's Glacia of the Hoenn League's Elite Four, we've heard so much about you Ms. Potter."
"You did?" Helena asked one of the strongest trainers in the Hoenn Region.
The man chuckles, crossing his legs. "Yep, the Kid there told us how you stood up against two poachers to save Dratini." The old trainer looks at Helena, smirking at himself for forgetting to introduce himself. "Ah, names Captain Drake of the Hoenn Elite Four."
Helena blinks, hearing that name before. 'Drake…I heard that name before.' She looks at the Elite Four member and spoke, "You're the original caretaker of Dratini, right?"
"Mmm-mmm," Drake nodded in response, smiling at the young trainer.
"Drake has been taking care of Dragon-type Pokemon here in Evergrande City." The white-haired woman explains to Helena. "Dragon-type Pokemon are rare to find in the wild, especially those who aren't from the Region."
Helena nodded, understanding the woman standing next to Wallace. "I see,"
Wallace sighs, motioning his hand to the woman. "Chairwoman, you forgot to introduce yourself." The Champion reminded the Chairwoman of the Pokemon League.
The white-haired woman nodded, turning to Helena. "Forgive me, my name is Blanche. I'm the Chairwoman of the Pokemon League." She introduced herself. "I work closely with the Champions and Elite Four in the political sphere."
"I-It's nice to meet everyone," Helena politely greeted the most powerful people in Hoenn. "U-Um, if you all don't mind then can you tell me why I'm here?" She asked.
Drake smiles, closing his eyes to answer. "Obviously, we want to see if Dratini is doing fine and to thank you for saving her." The Captain stated, appreciating her deeds.
Helena nodded, placing down Kirlia on the ground. "Of course, I'll bring her out." She took out Dratini's Pokeball, "Dratini, come on out." She released her Pokemon for the Elite Four to see.
Dratini was released from her Pokeball, she looked up and noticed familiar faces. She cries happily, greeting Drake and the others.
"It's so nice to see you in good hands, Dratini." Glacia smiles, happy to see the Dragon Pokemon doing all right.
Drake approached Dratini, checking her body to see if she was in good health. "Mmmm…very good, Dratini is well taken care of." He smiles, impressed by how well cared for the Dragon-type was. "You can tell by the shine on her scales, you have a knack for Pokemon care."
"Kirlia!" Kirlia leaps over to her Partner, agreeing with the forty-year-old trainer. Dratini agrees by squealing with joy.
"Thank you, sir." The former Witch smiles. "I did my best trying to find the right nutrition diet and care for Dratini. That goes for my other two Pokemon."
Blanche looks over to Wallace, seeing what he said was true. "Seems like what you said about her was exaggerated, Wallace." The Chairwoman commented,
Wallace leans back on his Throne, chuckling at Blanche's statement. "You know I'd always tell the truth, Chairwoman." The teal-haired boy stated,
"Such dedication, young trainers these days are really something to behold." Glacia sighs, glad to have this generation respect the well-being of Pokemon.
Drake was finished checking over Dratini's body. "Seems like Dratini is in good hands," The Elite Four looks at Helena, seeing that she's in good hands. "I trust that you'll take care of Dratini in my stead, Helena?"
Helena nodded, picking up her Dragon Pokemon. "Of course, I promise you that Dratini will be taken care of, Sir," She promised to the Captain.
"Right, make sure you do," Drake stated, placing his trust in her.
"Now that's done, I believe it's getting late for Helena." Glacia eyes the night sky outside the Tower. "I'm sure your friends are worried sick about you," She stated.
Wallace sighs, feeling like time was too short to catch up with his friend. "I guess you're right, Glacia. It's too bad, we only got a few seconds to speak with each other." He shrugs his shoulders,
"Wallace, you will have the time to reconnect with Ms. Potter during your time off during the Conference," Blanche stated,
"I guess you're right too, Chairwoman." The teal-haired Champion sighs, knowing that he couldn't do much during this type of event. "Anyways, it's good to see you, Ellie. Let's have something to eat if you're free."
Helena smiles brightly at her Brother figure, "Yeah, let's do that."
Glacia stood up from her seat, approaching the former Witch from the back. "I'll escort Helena to the Pokemon League Lobby," She offered to keep Helena company.
"Thank you, Glacia." Blanche looks at Helena and smiles softly. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Potter. Until we meet again,"
Helena inclined her head with her Pokemon following her lead. "It was a pleasure too, everyone." With that, she left the Tower as Glacia guided her back to the League building.

Upon exiting the doors of Victory Road, Helena stops upon seeing a familiar face. "Steven?"
The Steel-blue haired boy smiles at Helena, getting up from the chair. "I knew that was you who entered Victory Road with a League Staff." Steven greeted the former Witch.
"So, you did notice, huh?" Helena commented, watching Steven coming up to her.
"I figure you have something to discuss with one of the Elite Four, guessing from Glacia standing behind you and all." Steven eyes the pale blonde woman standing behind Helena.
Glacia saw the two interact and could only smile softly. 'Ah, young love.' She composes herself before explaining things to the young boy. "It's nothing bad, I assure you. The Chairwoman and Drake were concerned with Dratini who's under Helena's care."
"It's merely checking up with Dratini and all," The Ice-type trainer explains to Steven.
Helena nodded, supporting the Elite Four member. "That's right, but I'm curious why you're here and not at the Hotel, Steven?" She asked her friend.
Steven scratches his cheeks, blushing a bit at her question. "W-Well, it was getting a bit late when both me and Brawly were done registering for the Conference. " He explains to the black-haired girl. "I figure it wouldn't be nice if…y-you were walking to the Hotel alone."
Helena blinks, seeing Steven's blue eyes shift to her. "You stayed just for me?"
"Mmm-mmm…" Steven merely nodded in response; a bit flustered to give a proper answer.
Glacia giggled before turning around to Victory Road. "Seems like I'm not needed here, be careful you two." She returned inside as the doors closed behind her.
The Steel-blue haired boy cleared his throat, looking at Helena's face. "S-So, shall we head back?" Steven asked, offering to walk with her.
Helena gave a bright smile, "Yes,"
Steven came to her side as they walked to the exit. "Your face was blushing there," He played a little joke with her, hiding his face.
"W-Wah?" Helena clasped her cheeks, hiding the red from Steven's eyes. She quickly turns to him, seeing the same thing on his cheeks. "Well, you do too."
"No you didn't," Steven responded quickly, "I think you were imagining things," He covered his mouth.
"I didn't imagine it," Helena retorted back, noticing that he shifted his head to the front and saw the red. "There, right there." She points to his cheeks.
After a few moments of silence, both couldn't help but laugh at how childish they were. The two continued with idle talk throughout the night until they reached the Hotel. (End Song)
