Hiya! How is everyone? It's been a while. I am truly sorry about that. Not sorry about the slight cliffhanger though. I had to have surgery as I was extremely sick and recovery has been slower than I would have liked (had a couple setbacks along with the normal recovery crap). I'm still trying to recover, so apologies for that and now I'm prepping for another surgery. Shout out to truelovealwaysandforever, Oscar'sFAIRmaiden, Dorisangel, OptimusPrime'sANGEL, Kira Kat1, patchez1995, lsingelee, Sukuna's Certified Wife, Crystalized Heliotrope, Ai Uchiha, lauraschmohl, Ashi-Nav, ayumiku 24, copperspider005, and Pokechan123 for favoriting and/or following my story! Shall we continue?

Confrontations and search
Pain.
That's what greeted me as my awareness came back. I tried to stay as still as possible while straining my ears. Mia and Hide had drilled into my head that I shouldn't let my captors know when I wake. There was no sound, except my own breathing and shifting.
Thinking it was safe enough, I moved my wrists around to test the tightness of the rope that was scratching me. Too tight for me to really wiggle out of. Ankles are the same.
I lightly cracked one eye before opening both when I didn't see anyone around me. It looked like I was in an abandoned warehouse if all the dust, cobwebs, and debris were an indication. Metal hit metal with a resounding clang. My body stiffened and I had to force myself to relax back into a slumped position.
Footsteps leisurely made their way towards me and my body chilled with fear, knowing I was probably going to die if nobody could get to me in time, "I know you're awake, dear Katherine. Open those eyes, so that we may chat. It's long overdue."
I tried to look as defiant and unafraid as I could when I met the emerald eyes that glimmered with amusement. As if I was a child playing pretend, "Andrew Oliver. Wish I could say it was a pleasure to see you again, but my parents raised me to not lie."
Unfortunately, my voice wavered and didn't come out as strong as I had hoped. His lips curled into a smile that matched the deepening amusement in his cold eyes, "I will admit that it took us longer to find you than I had hoped. You have made a real mess of everything for my family and I. If it was not for my cousin going to school with you, then we probably would not have found you."
My jaw parted slightly as realization poured through me. I was only found because of a classmate. I could have escaped from the Oliver family completely if it wasn't for a classmate. I couldn't stop the tremor or crack in my voice when I finally questioned, "W-who was it?"
His eyes trailed up and down my bound form as I shivered from the icy breeze whistling through the metal walls, "Well, no harm in telling you, I guess. You will not be alive long enough to tell anyone. His name is Mike Newton. Imagine my surprise when a distant cousin called me to teach an upstart girl some manners and it turns out that girl is the one we had been searching for. Sending O'Brian should have taken care of you, but you somehow managed to survive. Tsk, you have been causing so many problems and you did not even know."
Glancing over at the burly man with him that helped kidnap me, the amusement completely disappeared from his voice as he gave an order, "Kill her. Do it as slowly and painfully as possible."
My breath hitched and he glanced back at me with eyes resembling the hard gem, "Goodbye, Katherine."
The burly man strode towards me and I met the beady black eyes with terror flooding me. A large fist smashed into my ribs, which caused me to choke out. As he reared back for another punch, I whimpered, "Daddy, help."
THIRD P.O.V.
Will paced in the Cullens' living room, where he and the Autobots had set up a base with the vampires and wolves. They all froze as a video call from N.E.S.T. came in and Jazz accepted the call, "What's up, Prime?"
The leader's optics shone with worry as he reported, "It seems the comm in Kat's old tracking device is working. Maggie was able to connect to it with Jolt's help. They haven't been able to get the tracker online yet, but they are currently working on it. I'll patch the audio through to you."
Will felt hope for the first time stir in his chest. He thought his daughter had stopped carrying that old Air Force pendent when Ratchet had given her the new necklace. Audio played through their speakers of someone lightly breathing and everyone seemed to sag in relief at the knowledge that Katherine was still alive. Kat's breathing hitched slightly and picked up, which Ratchet surmised, "She must have just woken."
However, their hope and relief died when they heard the footsteps make their way towards the girl. The ensuing conversation pooled dread and despair as they listened to the teen try her best at being brave. Will's tears pooled in his eyes when the order to kill his daughter was given, but they spilled over at the soft whimper, "Daddy, help."
Jazz killed the audio before reforming his holoform between Will and the front door as Emmett and Jasper also blocked the man's departure, "Move, Jazz. I'm going to go fragging find my daughter."
The Bot frowned and dropped his accent, "Can't do that, Will. How are you going to go find her? We all heard who led the Olivers here and I know you aren't thinking straight. There isn't a single person here that doesn't want to go get answers from the cousin, but we need to be smart about this. Prime is sharing the info with the FBI and I'm helping Jolt and Maggie work on the connection. You need to prepare yourself for being with your daughter when we get her back, okay?"
Will glared at the Bot for a tense moment before the fight drained from his tired body and he allowed Carlisle to guide him to the couch. All those watching the interaction lost some of their tension as they watched the father sag into the couch. Jasper used his gift to lull the man into a needed slumber as the vampires, wolves, and Bots made plans for patrols.
KAT'S P.O.V.
Time blurred together as I wheezed and spat out some blood from when I had bit my lip. Gorilla, as I had taken to calling the burly man, stepped back into view with a crowbar. I braced myself as he swung back before he whirled around at the shouts behind him, "FBI! Drop your weapon!"
Jerky hands lifted my head and checked my pulse on my neck as someone untied my arms and ankles. Someone held me up before helping me limp my way out of the warehouse. Sunlight glinted off multiple vehicles as I made it out the door and my eyes wearily scanned over the tons of people, but my eyes stopped on one in particular. Ratchet's holoform was standing at the back of his alt form and his gaze didn't leave mine as I stared in disbelief. Lurching away from the agent holding me up, I fell into Ratchet's arms before he shifted me to lay on the cot, "Hi, sweetspark. It's good to see you again. Dr. Cullen is meeting us at the hospital, okay?"
He shut the doors once I was loaded in and made a show of getting into the front seat to drive away. It wasn't long before he was back beside me and taking care of the bleeding wounds, "R-Ratch, h-h-how long?"
His blue optics softened and he helped me sip some water, "Three days, Kat. You still had your old tracker on you. We managed to get the comm connected, but it took a bit to get the tracker back up and running. I'm sorry it took us so long."
I squeezed his hand when he fell silent and we made the rest of the trip in a comfortable silence. Carlisle was the first one to greet me when Ratchet opened the doors and he smiled warmly at me. He stayed beside me as I was wheeled into a hospital room where my dad was waiting with Hide and Mia. My lip wobbled when I met their gazes and I couldn't stop the tears when my dad gripped my hand, "Oh, angel."
Sobs choked out of my throat as I leaned into his chest and I could feel his tears dripping onto the top of my head. Carlisle treated me between bouts of crying and panic before Agent Nelson was let in. Her brunette hair was pulled into a strict bun that matched the crisp suit she was wearing, "Hello, Katherine. I know you don't want to do this, but we need to go over what happened and get your statements."
Glancing between my dad and the two Bots, I begged, "Do I have to?"
My dad waited till I met his gaze to talk, "Yes, angel. It sucks and it's going to hurt, but you need to tell her everything that happened. Think of it like when Epps and I have to debrief after missions. You want the memories fresh, so that you don't forget anything."
I nodded before shifting my gaze to my lap, where my fingers were twisting and tangling in the sheet covering me. It didn't take long for me to explain everything that had happened since it was just the man beating me over and over. Nelson seemed to hesitate before asking her final question, "I have to ask, but did they do anything else?"
My face blanched at the implications and I shook my head vehemently, "No! No, all he did was punch me and kick me a few times. Didn't even hit me with the crowbar. You guys got me out before he did."
They all seemed to lose some tension at my admission and my dad hugged me closer. The agent left as Carlisle came back in with a warm smile, "You're free to leave, Kat. You have some bad bruising and your joints are raw from your bindings. We'll keep an eye on you, but you'll be fine if you take it easy. Let's get you out of here."
The men all stepped out before Mia helped me change into a pair of running shorts and one of my looser tank-tops. My dad held me to his side as we headed out to Hide's alt form. We drove to the Cullens' house, where I was greeted by the vampire family, the wolves, Jazz, Prowl, Ratchet, and Bella. I was passed around for hugs until I landed on the couch between my dad and Hide as Mia perched on the back of the couch behind me.
Ratchet stepped up to me and held out his hand with my Autobot necklace resting in his palm. I grinned as I shakily attached it around my neck. Some of my anxiety calmed at the familiar weight resting against my chest. Esme and Bella passed out food to those of us that could eat. It was relaxing and heartwarming to be surrounded by so many that cared for me. My eyes pricked with happy tears as I laid against my dad and it didn't take long for me to fall asleep.
